There’s a rumor that Paris Hilton might go to jail early just to be done with it. It is thought that there’s not much hope for her to get out of jail earlier than 39 days, which is factoring in the maximum 6 day credit she can earn for good behavior.
Paris has appealed to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon her, and while his office says that she’ll be treated the same as any other criminal that asks for leniency, he might be inclined to do her some favors since her family donated nearly $60k to his campaign in the past.
Yesterday Paris issued a statement saying she is ready to face consequences for her actions. Newly re-hired PR guy Ellliot Mintz probably wrote it in response to her rant to photographers about how she was unfairly targeted:
“I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. No one is above the law. I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is that I will not be treated worse.”
Now there’s news that she could head to jail earlier than the June 5th lockup date imposed by the judge, according to In Touch weekly’s website (no permalink available)
Paris Hilton is considering starting her jail time early, as she realizes she has virtually no chance of winning an appeal before her sentence is due to start, In Touch has learned.
The heiress, who has to report for 45 days behind bars before June 5 now thinks she might as well get it over with as soon as possible.
“Various people are telling her the chances of avoiding jail are just about nil,” says a close friend of the Simple Life star. “They are telling her she should take a deep breath, do her time and then get on with her life.”
In Touch has her dating some random new guy – not James Blunt or that Housewives guy with the dumb look. She’s supposedly with model Hunter Cross, and he’s more than willing to blab about it for some publicity. He tells the magazine that they’re not exclusive but that he’ll be there for her when she gets out of jail.
Paris may need more than her accessory pets to cry on when she gets out – Life & Style is set to report that she’s received death threats from inmates at the Century Regional Detention Facility where she’s slated to do time.
While I do think that Paris will have to serve some kind of sentence I bet that someone will pull strings and let her buy her way into a more heiress-friendly facility like Martha Stewart. The judge ruled out that option, but something like that might just come up at the last minute and save her skinny ass from baloney sandwiches and two pair of undies a week.
Thanks to INF Daily for this image of Paris with her three dogs outside of the gym yesterday. She’s said to be on her way in, and it’s unclear why she’d bring her dogs to the gym, but maybe there’s a petsitting service there or she makes her trainer watch them.
