Here are some photos of Brandi Glanville a few nights ago, at the premiere of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. I’ve noticed in recent photos – like, the past two months or so – that Brandi has been looking a little extra Botoxy. It kind of comes and goes with her, depending on whether you’re looking at still photos or whether you’re watching her in motion, trying to move her face. But Star Magazine says Brandi’s most recent procedure went too far and now she’s trying to wait until her face regains some sense of mobility back:
Leave it to potty-mouthed party girl Brandi Glanville to take things too far. The RHOBH star has made no secret of her use of Botox and fillers to stave off Father Time, but in the wake of her most recent treatment, she’s not realizing you can have too much of a good thing.
“Brandi is embarrassed about how it turned out,” says an insider, revealing that Brandi nearly burst into tears when she saw a preview of her appearance on The Steve Harvey Show.
“She’s trying to find a boyfriend and wants to look young, but she knows she went too far.”
While she lets the treatments wear off, she’s using some liquid courage to face the haters. “Brandi’s girlfriends took her out to cheer her up… nothing like a drunken night out for Brandi to shake it off!”

This may sound asinine, but I think this really happens to a lot of women in Hollywood and New York. I mean, I’m sure women are Botoxing all around this great land of ours, but I do think that in NYC and LA especially, there’s a tendency to “go big or go home” when it comes to cosmetic work. Think… Nicole Kidman. Think Renee Zellweger. It’s not that women simply want to stop aging – at this point, they have no problems doing major overhauls and getting completely new faces.
…Or, you know, this whole story could be from a torn page out of LeAnn Rimes’ Burn Book. “OMG, Brandi’s face looks so frozen!! Reminder: find out which doctor did the Botox so I can copy her exact look! Single White Female 4 EVA!!!”

Is it just me, or has all this cosmetic work made her resemble Daughter of Chuckie? She needs to cut way back on enhancements and appreciate her natural beauty if it’s not too late. She has a great body, too.

To be fair, these are terrible photos with harsh lighting. I probably wouldn’t look too great either under those conditions.
The thing is, Brandi has been overdoing it with the fillers and ‘Tox for years.
I’m almost sure there is a filler station and she rolls in screaming “Fill ‘er up!”

I was recalling this very thing, and her answer was to press her cheekbones, that proved they were hers. Zomg… she so has had implants at some point (versus solely fillers) which would be hard to the touch, duh.
She clearly uses (overuses) filler because you see areas of that weird, lumpy texture to her skin that so many get… then they get botox, which paralyzes the muscles & makes the injection lumps more prominent.

WHAT is going on with her cheeks? Is this a combo of too much filler AND way too much blush or contouring makeup? Or would she still look like this even with a plain face? Why do so many women look like this – the puffed-up cheeks? I assume they’re injecting something to fill in wrinkles, but why is it always in the cheek area (rather than, say, around the eyes to fill in crow’s feet)? Courteney Cox is another one.

I am confused. Does one get the hard cheek implants and have injections on top of the implants to puff them out? Kris Jenner obviously has had them. They seem to infringe on her nose, causing it to look crooked. Joan Rivers must have had the same type of cheekbone enhancement because you could always see a line near her nose. Joan’s natural face was very narrow and the cheekbones widened her face. I have also read about buccal fat removal where the fat in the lower cheek is removed by going through the back of the mouth. I am thinking that Kim K had this done as well as the cheek implants. Does anyone with medical knowledge care to comment?
what I always find disturbing about these women’s faces ( zelweger and Kidman and Madonna included) is that Not just you get the crazy brows and the weird burn unit lips but The SKIN?!?!? the skin itself looks like it has the quality of claymation and Putty in close ups??
And did she apply two full bronzer cakes to her cheeks, or what?

Her skin has the texture of a busted tire.
Busted tire skin and ventriloquist face! These two spot on comments made me bust out laughing and now I can’t stop giggling to myself. My husband thinks I’ve gone crazy.
It’s pockets of filler that didn’t get massaged in/distributed properly! It’s gross!
That’s what happens with all of this filler, overdoing it, it actually doesn’t give you back the full face of youth. It makes your skins lumpy in places in the right light, pushes down, dragging down your face if too much filler, smile is weird if too much is put in lips added with filler in face and added too much botox put all around your eyes, where your eyes look frozen and mean looking. And they think they look younger. LOL Sad. It just gives you a big face that doesn’t move naturally when showing any kind of emotion, laughing, animated, crying.
All of that, and when you see filled parts of the face clashing when they try to make an expression, like when they try to smile and the overfilled nasolabial lines hit the cheek filler, there’s just no natural movement in the face anymore. I don’t know how that is better than a few wrinkles.
I know she has bad skin in general. She’s talked about picking her face, which weirds me out.
I didn’t know she picked her skin. That sounds a lot like OCD. I pity the poor woman. She thinks she looks good. The Botox doesn’t enhance anything, but the fact that her face is shiny and plastic. That’s makeup is horrible, too. This Botox obsession in Hollywood is scary.
There’s a lot more than just Botox going on, right? Her mouth is horrifying and her cheeks are bursting. After awhile these ladies ALL look like Madame. Another Duchess Alba, Donatella Versace, Melanie Griffith, Meg Ryan, Priscilla Presley, Nikki Cox, Jocelyn Wildestein, Lara Flynn Boyle, Joan Rivers….

Picking is an OCD thing, along the lines of cutting. It can be controlled with behavior modification, but it’s an addition. Considering Brandi seems to be an alcoholic, it doesn’t surprise me. (Full disclosure: I’m a picker, too. My sister was a cutter, and our father is now a sober alcoholic – but he was a raging one when we were younger.)
Yup I’m a current picker, former cutter and I’ll never not want to bleed. The compulsion is a bitch.
@Falkor.. Picker here too. My thumbs on the sides are non-existant from picking. I can’t stop it. I have scars all over my arms too that look REALLY bad when I get some sun becsuse they don’t tan. I hate this ish…..
I know what ya mean Vampi, my thumbs are the same way. Thankfully I don’t scar too badly, but when I do they’re gnarly. The struggle is real, sis, you’ve got my sympathies.
That is not how you get a man. Men run from desperation. She would probably be a lot prettier with a normal untouched face and a lot less drinking.
What makes you think everything a woman does is for getting a man. Some woman just like to look young as most of the Hollywood crowd, even the young women start to early and do it, to much obsession with looks and youthfulness is the problem.

Damn, this is not a good look, plus that lighting isn’t helping. She’s such a pretty woman and doesn’t need all that make up or Botox, hopefully it will settle and she learned a lesson.
I know that most of these women’s friends look like this, too, so it lends to the “this is normal” atmosphere… but this is not normal. I don’t know when these people are going to realize that they neither look younger nor better – they just look like they’ve had work done. For me – I’d rather have a few wrinkles than look like Madame Muppet.
LA Face. I live in San Diego-and once in a while I’ll see it here too and it’s so disconcerting. Like I’ll be standing in line at the grocery store, there will someone in front of me in exercise clothes with a great body-they’ll turn around and it will be some 55 year old with SO much filler, and those trout lips. I’m sure a terrified look passes over my face. As much as I’d love to freeze my 30 year old face-it’s not possible.
I live in Michigan and it happens here, too. Not frequently, but on occasion I’ll be next to someone in line and look up and it’s like a train wreck – you just cannot look away. I suppose it’s sad, really.
Happymom, I live here too and it certainly is a surprise when I see it. It’s almost always wealthy older women from the wealthiest communities: La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe etc.
@Other Renee-yep, I live near Olivenhain and that’s exactly it: the wealthy ladies who have just come from their barre class, and they’re in the check out line at Sprouts. They frighten me!!!!
I live in Chicago and I see a lot of Botox and Filler. I think more and more women and even men are running to these med spas, dermatologists and plastic surgeons because the prices have come down and cosmetic surgery has become more accessible to everybody. I was in the dermatologists office the other day getting a skin cancer check and the doctor said she had a new laser that could smooth out my skin and get the redness out of my face for $125.00. I have to say that I am definitely interested. It lasts about 3 to 6 months, depending on the person.
A 29-year-old has more smile lines than these women, stuffed to the max and frozen to the max. You are right. They are all sheep doing what their friends do and rushing to the plastic surgeon happy to make more money on them pushing the newest and latest thing, or dermatologist. They never look younger. Brandi already looked younger and is addicted to doing this. She’s been doing it the last few seasons and can’t seem to see in the mirror how unnatural she looks. Less is more. More is just harder and frozen and lumpy looking and unnatural looking at certain angles. Madonna ruined her face.
Then you see women like Julianne Moore, Juliane Marguiles and Rachel Weisz, who look amazing, and don’t have frozen faces, pillow faces, cat faces, nor fish lips, and their careers are
going strong because of that because their faces don’t look bizarre on the screen.

Kelsey, Traverse City is a beautiful place to be in the summer but the winters are harsh. You better like snow, Traverse City can get upwards of 100 inches a winter due to lake effect snow. They’ve gotten 19 inches so far this month!

Last season Brandi tried to tell everyone her upper lip was frozen due to an allergy to aspirin. She couldn’t speak properly for weeks.
I’m a few years older than most of my friends and I don’t think they understand there once was a world without botox. They’re all so pretty and I try to explain to them all this stuff takes away a woman’s natural fire and character. *Shakes cane in fury*
No she said that she had bad TMJ and she had a reaction to something she had taken. I forgot the name of it. It wound up affecting her jaw because of the TMJ and her jaw went out of alignment. That’s why she couldn’t talk.
Brandi used to be SO pretty. Now her face looks like a stuffed sausage (and that garish makeup isn’t helping either). Does she not realize that her face looks worse this way than natural aging does??? She is probably one of those women who would looked fantastic as she aged naturally, but now she’s jacked her face up so much, we’ll never know if that’s true or not. It makes me sad. Does this woman have no real friends to tell her to lay off of the filler and Botox for a while??? I get being afraid of aging, but this is just terrible :(.
The lighting is awful. This isn’t a good look. I guess it is really easy to go too far with these procedures. Hopefully she’ll be able to wait it out and be more careful next time. With Brandi it really is a hit/miss – sometimes she looks awesome and sometimes her face looks painful. But I understand her – I am terrified of ageing too but waaaaaaay too lazy to even go to a hairdresser not to mention Botox (our eyebrows…God I’m a slob)
Brandi was so proud of her Steve Harvey appearance but in reality it was embarrassing. She kept saying “black don’t crack” in regards to why she has to get botox but black women don’t. The audience was not laughing – well, a few were laughing AT her.

That article certainly has a catty tone. I thought she was looking better in recent photos. These photos seem to be a combination of harsh lighting and makeup, plus filler effects.
So-called enhancements (fillers, Botox, etc.) will likely be frowned upon in a few years. It doesn’t make sense that skin can be repeatedly puffed out and manipulated without further losing firmness.
It seems like a lot of these women go overboard or have no choice but to keep filling up on this stuff
So, what I really don’t understand is why they keep doing it when they must know in the long run it simply doesn’t look good. Is it like a drug and they can’t help it? Is it denial, thinking that they won’t turn out like Nicole and Madonna? Do they not see the waxen train wreck of Donatella Versace and say “That’s gonna be me if I don’t stop?”
I wonder the same. It NEVER turns out well in the long run. Why don’t they see that? Or does it look normal to them? I have lines around my eyes and I like them.

Priscilla P is an example of someone who was very beautiful, plus she likely has good genetics. Her father died when she was a baby, so not sure how he would have aged, but her mother aged well. I can’t understand the mindset that leads to wrecking one’s looks.
Can they stop? What happens if they stop? Does it all fall and sag worse than pre-botox? I’ve always wondered if it’s one of those things where once you’ve started you have to keep going.
I don’t know, but I’m never going to start. I really like Brandi, but she was a beautiful woman and she’s ruining her looks. You can’t be 25 forever, and what she doesn’t realize is that she doesn’t need to be. She is tall, slim, lovely. If she took on a more professional look, like a sexy librarian, she would look amazing. Darken the hair, less makeup, no fillers/Botox, maybe put on about 10 pounds (as we age, we need a little more weight), no extensions, hire a fashion consultant, and embrace aging. She’s not even that old, for heaven’s sake.
I agree it never turns out well. I got botox once, and even though I must say it was *very *effective in smoothing out forehead lines the downside was I INSTANTLY develoveped that waxy Kidman look plus got some new wrinkles along the sides of my nose – and that was just from a one off. So no wonder these actresses end up looking to strange doing it regularly.
And lol, I agree jenn, Brandi has a sort of “sexy librarian” look naturally that is actually very attractive. She just needs to embrace it.
I know, right? If she’d just embrace her 40s and her naturally sexy look, she would look terrific. Kind of a “hot for teacher” look. The hoochie look isn’t good, but it’s worse when someone isn’t in her 20s anymore. She looks great in straight pencil skirts that hit the knee. And she needs her hair to be more of a chestnut brown color, which would be great with her cheekbones.
She looks lumpy, especially in the chin area, and her cheeks just look fake and not pretty at all. The lips look like a cartoon. I just don’t understand the allure with this. I see nothing that make me think she look prettier with this work. I get the aging, not really enjoying it that much either, but this just looks bad. I would rather have wrinkles!!!!!! She would look better than lumpy.
It’s been bad for awhile, she just leveled up.
I agree, and also think aging is tougher for women accustomed to being the most attractive in the room (or wherever).

Even with fillers and puffy cheeks Brandi looks better than Leann Rimes… I don’t think this is a good look, but maybe this is LA beautiful. Wealthy people there have different criteria. The more plastic the better.

Vulture recaps have always been great. Julie Klausner did an awesome job. I liked them the best because they hated on all the ladies and didn’t show favorites. Now a new guy is doing them who is #TeamLisa, who’s feigning no memory of anything Lisa has ever done wrong to others. Bummer ’cause they were my go-to source for recaps!
I have had small amounts of filler and Botox in the past. When it is done well and in moderation, it looks very refreshing. You get to looking very swollen either immediately after the injections or after you have had too much done. It is so much better with a light touch.
However, I see how it’s easy to to think, if some is good, then more is better. It can be easy to go overboard.
Some people will NEVAH understand the less is more idea.
I figure there are more women (and men) in the public eye that get it than we know about. We only notice the ones who have gone too far.

I mean, I’ve seen Brandi’s early-mid 90’s professional modeling shots that she tries desperately to keep hidden (for obvious reasons) and let me tell you: The woman was GORGEOUS. (She naturally has jet blank hair, olive skin and those pretty espresso colored eyes.) Much like the Kidmans and Courteney and Nikki Coxes (girrrrrrrl NO) of the world, Brandi would have aged beautifully and remained a very attractive woman had she just let nature take its course and gone for aging gracefully. The real joke is that she’d-like all filler addicts-also more than likely look a decade younger had she never made that initial trip to a surgeons office…

So this is what Leann had to say in her cringeworthy latest Daily Mail interview.
“I look at my 11-year-old stepson Mason, and I’m like, ‘I signed a record deal when I was your age. You’re still fumbling with tying your shoelaces.’ ”
—Nice. Really nice, stepmom. He’ll love being humiliated like that.
Sadly with Brandi as a bio mom, he’s used to being humiliated. In addition to being out in public drunk, drunk and coming out of her clothes, slapping people and other craziness, Brandi said that she wipes his butt.
What is the issue with personal responsibility? Leann made nasty remarks, so Leann is responsible. Just as she was responsible when she made so many other bad decisions (overtly sexual behavior in front of the kids, inappropriate dress in front of them and not in front of them, making out with Liz while Eddie filmed it and the kids were inside, etc, etc). Brandi made some horrible decisions, but she seems to have gotten herself together and hasn’t done it since. And she owns what she does, unlike others. People say that EC was a cheater who doesn’t cheat anymore. I don’t know if that’s true, but they seem to have moved past his bad behavior and say he’s changed. Brandi isn’t just the bio mom, she’s the mother, period. And that wasn’t Mason she referred to in that comment, by the way.
And just to say- Brandi should not have said that because it’s embarrassing, but she was being a mom and talking about her son. Leann’s comment was mean spirited and meant to taunt.
Leann is trying to rehab her image. This did not help.
Even the daily mail commenters are turning on her now so…this was yet another rookie, poor PR move. Leann has no concept of how she comes off to others. It’s just not smart PR. She needs new managers and she needs them NOW.
It’s about IMAGE. NOBODY is ever going to give the stepmom allowance to say these kinds of things. I’m a stepmom and a mom. I absolutely MUST respect the fact that my stepkids have a mother. She’s ill, she’s got a lot of issues that have harmed my stepkids, but she is their MOTHER. I would never dream of calling them out by name in this way. It was a bad, bad PR move, no matter how innocent her intentions were.
You are right his father humilated him when he had a public afffair with his now wife that happened long before Brandi was in the public eye. Plus his bonus mom has issues and drinking was one of them.
What I mean is, they keep saying EC changed, he doesn’t cheat anymore (despite the fact that he cheated on women for years) and people should get off his back because he’s changed. I don’t see change- I see a guy who didn’t expect to get papped and had 2 phones in his pocket- but if you believe he can change, so can others. Brandi tripped up, owned it, and moved on. Just because someone made some bad choices doesn’t mean that she can’t change. I haven’t seen her drunk in a long time. She clearly adores her sons and isn’t saying things that come off badly anymore. People need to be allowed to make errors and fix them. What Leann said was patently vicious and mean spirited and aimed to humiliate Mason.
Also, her “smart, pretty, unpopular” comment was irritating. Bullying is horrible, yes. I remember girls who walked around calling themselves “smart and pretty” and generally, they weren’t either one. I just feel that she needs to learn that if you look around and think that everyone is mean to you, nobody understands you, and that they are all jerks, it’s time to consider whether or not the real jerk might be you.
When will women realize – a face that looks like it’s been pumped up like a tyre is NOT attractive and does NOT make you look younger. Look at all the models and althletes with slim, sometimes almost gaunt faces, yet they still look young – a fatter face does not automatically = younger/prettier.
