As we come to the end of the year, I have been doing some reflecting on all of the gossip that’s gone down this year. So many of the big gossip stories this year involved weddings and engagements. George Clooney, America’s Forever Bachelor, got married. Benedict Cumberbatch got engaged. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt finally got married and Angelina wore a terrible wedding dress. And yes, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got hitched. I had a moment of confusion earlier, because it seemed so long ago, I was sure that they got married in 2013. They did not! It was May of this year. And as compile all of the “Best of” lists, it’s worth oting that the wedding photos Kim post on her Instagram (the header photo of this post) is the most “liked” IG photo of the year. It got 2.74 million “likes,” hundreds of thousands more than anyone else.
But you know what they say about the seven month itch! Yes, Kanye and Kim can’t even make it to the seventh month without In Touch Weekly claiming that they’re totally going to divorce:
Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kanye West is a sham and the attention-seeking couple is headed for divorce. That’s what a source is telling In Touch about Kimye in shocking new claims. According to the insider, the newlyweds have a rocky relationship and it’s all because of West’s controlling behavior.
But for Kardashian, 34, the final straw came when the moody rapper ditched her on Thanksgiving. Last week the reality star tweeted to her millions of followers that she was having a perfect holiday. But it was all a front. In reality West, 37, spent Thanksgiving thousands of miles away with friends in Paris, France.
“Kim was furious he dumped her and North for the holiday and mortified that she had to show up at Khloe’s [house] alone,” the insider says. “It was the last straw for her. She’s getting ready to file divorce papers.”
In fact – the source claims – Kardashian has already consulted a top L.A. divorce lawyer. Her rep denies it, but in early November, the reality TV star allegedly met with the high-powered attorney. The source says: “They shut down an elevator for her to go up to the lawyer’s office. Kim was very secretive about it.”
Kardashian reportedly fears divorcing West will descend into a mudslinging match. But the insider alleges she is much more fearful of a contentious custody battle over North.
“He wants to take North to France, which is Kim’s worst nightmare,” the source says. “She will fight him with everything she’s got.”
If we’re doing some #RealTalk, I’ll say that I’m expecting Kim and Kanye to get a divorce at some point. But no, they won’t get a divorce after less than a year of marriage. My current prediction is that Kim tries to get pregnant again and then maybe they divorce after a second baby. I think she’s trying to stick it out even though Kanye is largely absent from her life and North’s life. But after a 72-day marriage, Kim wants to go “the distance” with this marriage. “The distance” being two years, I think.

I don’t care either way, but I think this is rubbish. Remember how were all speculated that they wouldn’t ever get married because he spent most of her pregnancy in France? Well, this is no different. And Kim will want to wait at least a year or two to save face.

I think Kim feels that being with Kanye legitimizes her–the big stars HAVE to pay attention to her now–and so she’ll put up with what she has to, until it’s over. And when it’s over, I think, depends on Kanye.
Agree on everything, Virgilia. Kanye is A-list due to talent and groundbreaking music (despite the severe self-worship and craziness). She strikes gold as far as celebrity goes and she knows it.

I kind of agree about the Kanye effect. Just don’t think that’s why she’s with him.
They were together since (allegedly) around the time of her 1st marriage.
And though both are really quirky that share similar qualities I think they love eachother (in a way only they can).
Kanye can go off and Kim has understood this. If anyone is stirring the pot it’s Kris. And I don’t put it past Kris to go to Star.

Kim will have a jump-off and a bun in the oven before she files for divorce. She’s a social climber like that.
Exactly! Of course they will get divorced someday but Kim hit the celebrity jackpot by marrying Kanye. It would be ludicrous for her to leave him now. I actually think they might last several years and have at least one more kid before splitting.

I can see 2 scenarios:
1. Kim gets a divorce (or rather files for one) in 2-3 years after having another baby presumably. It could be a hellscape and she never sees Kanye but she won’t file before this time. I believe this for sure because her career won’t survive a 3rd divorce. I also think all the A-List people that have cautiously accepted her into their fold will drop her like a hot potato if she casually checks out of this marriage. BUT i think if there’s any real substantial evidence that KW cheats on her, Kim will file ASAP regardless of the time because she’ll play her role as a victim and then it’ll be on him that the wedding is done.
2. KW files for some reason within the 2-3 year time-frame and she’ll go along with it. Again, the onus is off Kim and she’ll go ahed with the divorce. I think she’ll go along with any divorce scenario that doesn’t have the blame squarely on her shoulders like it was with the Hump. I think if divorce # 3 happens, she’ll need to and want to play the victim role and it’ll work out perfectly if KW does it because then it’s all woe is me about KW leaving her.
3. That all being said, KW seems way too infatuated with her and still “in love” to pull the plug without trying harder. I think he fancies himself “a family man.” A family man who nonetheless spends zero time with NW and KK but still a Christian, family man and I don’t think he’ll walk away without trying harder. :\
My money is on scenario number one
Those are all realistic scenarios. Kim is much stronger with Kanye and probably would not be receiving so much attention today had she not married him. She or her handlers should be wise enough to know this. I also think that despite all the hate that these two get, they seem to be pretty in sync, or as in sync as these two could be in a marriage. They are also parents to a toddler and probably want a second child before calling it quits. For some reason I believe that Kimye could make it work for much longer than most people expect. I’m actually thinking that they could last for another five years or longer.
She hated pregnancy though, why would she have another kid?
Forgot to add: she’s also obsessed with her body and we all know what preganancy can do to it, plastic surgery or not
I somehow see surrogacy in the picture. She’s so self-obsessed she would never put herself through pregnancy again IMO.
I see surrogacy as well especially with all the ‘I was told I couldn’t get pregnant’ stories. She’s laying the groundwork

@Lara, I’d put money on this. I thought it was weird when she all of a sudden starting talking fertility issues this week, but you’re right — she’s laying the groundwork for a surrogate.
And I think they’ll stick it out for awhile. It seems like they both do what they want, just not together.
She did not hate pregnancy, she had preeclampsia and it is super uncomfortable for any women to hate being pregnant
Why these two got married I will never understand. The only people Kim or Kayne should marry are their own reflection in the mirror. That is their only true love.
I’ve wondered that myself. How do two narcissists stay in a relationship? Maybe they just go back and forth stroking each other’s egos all day long and that’s how it works.
Well, they are separated most of the time, giving themselves time to worship their reflections on the mirror AND their own IG pages from afar.
He is too enlightened anyway for Kim, he needs his peer (ehem…) to stroke his ego (!). She and her Klan (better said, nannies) can take care of the kid.

Lost me at the biggest nightmare being Kanye taking Nori to France. That’s a happy dream- Kim can do what she wants, nobody expects her to be with the rugrat, and she can go to Paris to shop and pretend to visit the kid… But realistically, they would end up with 50/50 most likely on paper at least. Hmm, maybe the nightmare for her is that she won’t get the child support windfall she’s expecting.
My prediction is that once Nori is school age, she’ll start living in Paris with Kanye and attending French schools. Hopefully with Kanye’s aunt living with them. That would be a much better life than Kardashian Kaos and she would actually get a good education. Kanye could just give Kim loads of money to not interfere. Nori seems more comfortable with Kanye even now. Hope his sanity holds out until she’s 18 at least.

I don’t like the thought of Kanye and a teenage daughter, either, though. Think of the rages and controlling behaviour that kid will be exposed to. Ricardo may be a good, nurturing stepfather, though.
I weirdly hope these two make it work. No one else could be married to him or her. Plus, didn’t we find out after the fact from the show he spent more time with her than we could observe via the paps during her pregnancy? I kind of think based on her past relationships she prefers breathing room and some space to travel or stay wherever the franchise is being shot and “work” and see him whenever otherwise.

I hope to God that Kim and Kanye dont try to have another baby. They are too self centered to pay attention to the one they have. Kim even forgets her baby in the hotel. North is flying around the world with just handlers, no mommy or daddy. It is sad for the baby. She is just another accessory.

What about the scenario (the conspiracy that has been out there since the wedding) that they were never truly married and he/she just walks away? I think if when the show stops and she stops getting magazine covers then it will end.

No I don’t think she is because I don’t believe that they are legally married. She shows the world everything be it important or not and the one thing she has not shown was the legal documents declaring their marriage. George Clooney did but NOT Kim Kardashian? How weird is that? Besides Kanye is all she has going for herself and once he moves on what does she have other than Kendall?
Since this marriage involves a small innocent child, I’ll hope for her sake that is not true. I never could understand Kanye’s need to spend his time in Paris with his buddies while leaving his family behind, this happened during the pregnancy, and it seems like it’s happening now.
One thing that is clear is, a divorce from Kanye would be a serious kick in the teeth to Kim’s brand (whatever that is), as obnoxious as he can be, Kanye is a rapper with a legitimate career who has produced some amazing music over the past decade, he is richer than her, and has more celebrity clout.
No way is she going to ditch him anytime soon. She put up with his Paris crap before they were married and she’ll keep doing it. She/they tried so hard during their engagement to convince everyone that they were soul mates and all of that nonsense. Neither one is about to admit that wasn’t true anytime soon.

I think Kim’s “star” has risen since being with Kanye. She would never get front row at Paris week if it wasn’t for Kanye. She’s made so many A list connections because of him. She’s not letting that go for nothing. Kanye would have to be the one to file for divorce. I don’t see Kim giving up that lifestyle. Without Kanye, Kim would be going back to mall tours and club appearances.
I agree. She will do whatever she can to stay with him, because he is the reason why she is getting those Vogue covers, front row seats at fashion shows, mingling with A Listers, letting that tall Jenner sister getting high profile modelling gigs,etc. I don’t like him one bit, but he is an A lister based on musical talent first. Now he is a joke, but he became famous through music. Kim is a freeloader. She is only famous still because of him. She and her family would have faded a long time ago without Kanye West.
Publicity grab. They have one more money maker to conceive, then they’ll live separately ‘like royalty’ lol.

I don’t think they will divorce this year either. I think they are fine with not spending a lot of time together. They can do their own thing and here and there unite for photo ops to say they are strong. I know they don’t live together and its not like they don’t have nannies to care for North so I think living separately is fine with them. Kim doesn’t seem like she would want to live with anyone other than her mom anyways. I think they will have another baby at some point and then eventually separate, but not until Kim can get all she can out of Kanye b/c he helps her get A list attention somewhat. When that fades she will be done with him.
With this much global distance between KK and KW, it opens a whole can of infidelity worms. Start cheating rumors in 3, 2, 1. (And, some of the rumors will be true).
I think it’s absolutely disgraceful they put baby North’s face on the cover of this magazine like that. These tabloids, as much as we love them, are shameless.
How about directing that criticism where it belongs, on the child’s parents who have chosen to expose her to the public through their relentless thirst for attention? No child should be subjected to so much public scrutiny, it’s repulsive.
While I think they are going to last more than people expect, I have to admit: that divorce will be entertainement from the gossip pov, can you imagine Kanye’s crazy rants ???
I give it five years. Kanye is oddly fascinated and obsessed with Kim. They’ll get a divorce when he no longer thinks of her as his muse or his Barbie doll.
Most people spend a lot of time on their obsession. He’s never with Kim. Also, I think the obsession was to simply “get Kim’. He got her and now the thrill is over. Just my opinion.
They’re sick of each other, they will stick it out for show but it lasts only until one of them finds someone new. If you love someone you don’t spend all your time living elsewhere for no reason.

I always found it kind of sad how proud they seemed about that. Like it was some honor to spend the first 4-5 days of their honeymoon photo-shopping a picture – It was their honeymoon, the wedding picture shouldn’t have even been on their mind at that point. But obviously, narcissism is more important than celebrating their honeymoon….
I have no doubt this came from the Kardashian camp. People haven’t really discussed much Kimye news lately so in one week we get Kim has fertility issues and they are on the rocks, seems too much high gossip level ‘news’ to really be honest. Normally, we have little Kim snippets about how important she thinks selfies are or how North is oh so fashionable for a toddler etc etc, but there hasn’t been much for a while. Gotta release more gossip to get talked about, it was time for more Kardashian lies anyway.
Yup. I notice this especially during times when the world is fixated on other news…like Ferguson and Cosby stories. Kim HATES being left out. It’s like “hey remember me…remember me !!!!”. She’s pathetic in that way.
I think they will try to stay togather, but Kanye will eventually see her for the nasty leech and scumwh0re she is and dump her. He is a raging lunatic, but he is pals with the right people for some reason. Which is why Kim is staying with him. Anna Wintour loves him enough to give him and his pig wife a cover on Vogue. Kim always wanted to be on Vogue. Kims little model sister was modelling socks before, now she is the face of Estee Lauder and walking ramps for Chanel and Givenchy, Kanye helped her with that, cause that girl is not stunning to be a model. These leeches need him for their ‘fame’ and ‘career’ opportunities.

I don’t like them .. but i think they are very in love and i think Kim like to have her single time. She like to have her event and Pap’s walking all for her. I truly believe this two is a good match ! This mariage will work.
I think kimode went to the lawyers as a warning shot to kayne. Embarrrass me again by blowing me off at major holidays to play hide the salami with your besties in Paris, and I will seek the big D. But we know this will never happen because of the reasons listed above by our astute commentors.
