Amal Clooney (formerly Amal Alamuddin) is in LA these days. It’s true! The Brilliant, Fashionable and Perfect Amal has taken another vacation from her legal career to spend time with husband George Clooney while he films Hail, Caesar! in LA. A few nights ago, they had a date night at the Soho House. It was actually a double-date-night because E! News says they met another couple there and the group of four had dinner and drinks. TMZ got photos of Amal leaving the Soho House – go here to see. If you look at those photos, you’ll see that Amal has a suspicious-looking “bump” in her mid-section. It could just be the way she stands (she’s a sloucher) or the clothes or even a pasta baby. Or it could be an actual pregnancy! Except it’s not.
Wanting it to be true does not make it so.
“Amal Clooney is not pregnant,” George Clooney’s rep tells PEOPLE after suspicious-looking photos of the new bride sparked rumors on TMZ.
Amal Clooney – previously known as Amal Alamuddin prior to marrying George Clooney in Venice in September – wore a coat over a full-skirted dress to the Soho House in West Hollywood on Friday, and the silhouette of the ensemble caused some to wonder if George and Amal may be starting a family.
While the rep says the rumor is untrue, a little Clooney does seem like a fitting next chapter in the pair’s ongoing fairy-tale romance.
Clooney’s rep has been extra-observant ever since Amal came on the scene. Like, Clooney’s rep chimes in with denials about every single little tabloid story. I wonder why Clooney feels the need to respond about Amal? With previous lady loves, he was usually happy enough to ignore the rumors, you know? Maybe he’s being protective. Or maybe he wants to control the story around her and about her.
Also: I would love it if George’s rep would give us a hard confirmation about whether Amal and George even want kids. Or if he’s gotten his vasectomy reversed.

It’s could be a belt around the black dress? IDK, it really is a weird photo. And I don’t know if the big coat helps things either, though it is a great piece and I want it. Personally I think it’s just a food-baby, if that, combined with a belt or a pocket flap or something along those lines.
It is a very odd photo, and she does look pregnant. It’s hard to imagine someone that small having that large of a tummy. Must be the angle. It’s so rude to speculate, she said as she speculated.
Another very private man constantly giving comments about his private life. Why bother with something like this which will be obvious, one way or another, to everybody very soon.
That has always been the one thing about pregnancy rumors I have never understood-in a few months time people would know.
Here we go again. Amal will now wear the crown that Jennifer Aniston “may” have just recently forfeited in regard to the annoying monthly pregnancy proclamations. Amal will likely wear it for the next 10 years until just a few years before menopause. This will likely result in about 50 or so phantom baby bump stories that we will waste our time on reading. Aren’t we lucky!!!

Generally, I would think it’s intrusive to offer or expect this kind of details, but when it comes to these two…all bets are off.
She has a very bad slouch! She does look pregnant in the first pic! But I don’t think she is. Her alleged bump looks different sized in different pics. I think its partly due to her slouch and partly due to the fall of her coat (which is ugh!). They do look happy however. Maybe they really are in love after all?
Nah, it’s just a weird angle photo. She’s wearing a coat that juts out and her arms are pulling it in at one point giving the illusion of a belly below.
This is how George will keep the PR game going. Continuing to use Amal, with her consent, to keep himself in the tabs, i.e, relevant.

Is she wearing these things on purpose to look pregnant? Rufflely dress, draped coat and even though we saw her coming off the plane a few days ago very thin with no bump she looks five months pregnant now. Seriously, I just don’t really get it. Did she not look in the mirror before she left. Courting the pregnant rumors really isn’t a good thing in my book. I saw one site have her due at Christmas and that made me laugh. It would definitely be a pillow baby then. Also, I think she is really not going to work that much if at all. She hasn’t really done that much since the engagement and don’t know how you keep that going for very long.
Okay, the first picture looks really weird, like a bad photoshop. The rest of the photos are annoyingly teasing: sometimes she looks pregnant, sometimes she doesn’t. Mistery. She looks happy and enjoying herself. I like how they look at each other and laugh together.
George seems to laugh with the guys – who are they? – more than his wife. He and Amal are not even touching in any of the TMZ pictures. Maybe she told him not to mess up her coat. She seems most interested in her own hair.
I don’t know, but George said his closest friends go way back, back to his twenties before he was really famous and early 30s, and that they aren’t famous but have been in his life forever. Rande Gerber said that he has been George’s good friend for, I don’t know, like 20 years and that he was his newest friend of all of his really close friends.
I think she’s just hiding the table centerpieces under there. The little jelly packs and sweet n low are in George’s underwear.

I hate the term “food baby.” I really don’t have an opinion on them as a couple but that photo is really weird. George seems like he would be a bit crotchety to live with. The only thing I really care about is her hair because I want mine to look like that.
The black dress had layers of ruffles all the way down. That’s all it was. Another photo showed her standing still and everything laid flatter.
The outfit looked pretty in the photos. There was a shot of her walking away. Cool coat and loved the little half boots with the dress. She did look very stylish. The photos were taken in the last few days. I’m sure they fly back and forth for weekends or long weekends.
I guess she ate one olive too many…no, I don’t think a child is part of the deal. But she must know how she looks with that kind of dress, and a cape kind of coat. Stacy Keibler just presented her first photo of her daughter- I can’t help thinking they all play a good PR game.

They denied the adoption rumours. They deny the pregnancy rumours. I think it’s good that GC’s rep is making statements now. Any couple, famous or not, would not be happy with too much talk or assumptions about their plans for a family. Aside from the bi-monthly appearances at restaurants or public performances, and from seeing airport pics of each (together or separately) in airports, they both appear too busy to settle down and raise children now anyway.
I don’t slouch but I am an overeater and when I was super thin in my 20s, my friends loved to see my party trick – stick out my stomach after a big meal and slouch. It made me look 5 months pregnant. Of course, when I was actually 5 months pregnant, I learned that the curvature was all wrong but the size was pretty comparable. I’m calling it pasta baby + slouching, combined with the outfit and photo angle.
That made me laugh.
Oh please, she was totally yanking the media’s chain in those “bump” pictures. Who really was stupid enough to believe that she went from size negative zero to six months pregnant in four weeks?
