Bummer about Pirate Bay!
They’ve been raided a few times now. I actually don’t expect this to slow them down for too long.
i know….and im in need of some new reality tv eps
Question for those who live in a warm climate, why do you guys wear stocking hats? Kaley is in California. I live in Oregon in December, pouring rain outside and still we don’t look as bundled up as she does.
As someone raised in New England who then lived in the tropics for several years and wondered about this phenomenon myself, I can answer this question for you: it’s the climate. In a cold climate, the human body creates brown fat, which is the kind of fat that burns calories and actually generates heat: http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20141022/brown-fat-weight-loss
People growing up in warm climates have much less brown fat, and consequently feel the cold much sooner (and much worse!) than folks who grew up where there are cold winters.
Here in Maine people clear a foot of snow off their car while wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants, it’s insane.
Thank you, Penny Lane!
When I moved from a cold area to LA, I used to laugh at people in winter coats when it was 60 degrees out….Now, I am one of them! What used to be “mild” weather to me now feels incredibly cold. Thanks for helping me understand why.
Pia
They’re still cold. Just kind of lazy. Most of the time they’re seen dressed like that and clearing off cars the sun is out and already warming things.
What area are your from if you don’t mind my asking?
Thanks PennyLane, this explains a lot about why I’m crazy enough to keep living in Minnesota. And why I and other Minnesotans do things like the Polar Plunge and wear shorts as soon as it hits 40 degrees in the spring. We’re not insane, we just have brown fat! We really do feel warmer.
Coastal breezes can get bitter cold, especially at night. It’s not hypothermia inducing or anything, but a knit cap sometimes feels just right.
Fellow Oregonian !!
I’ll pray for her and Jason White BOTH, even though I’m a true fan of the latter only.
Is being sick of your husband an illness……either way you are in my prayer, Avril.
I still judge teenaged Erinn for liking Avril.
I can’t stand the girl – woman? It’s hard to remember she’s 30 with the way she behaves- but I don’t wish sickness on anyone.
I still, however, will blast Sum41 when it comes on in the car. I liked Whibley so much better than Kroeger – shame he got himself into such a mess health wise.
I still listen to all killer no filler. It’s a fun album still.
If she is really sick, I hope she get better. I say “if” because CDAN had a blind item a few days ago saying she was in rehab and also getting plastic surgery. But we all know CDAN is sketchy at best…..
That’s sad if true. Having to go to rehab definitely could fall under her description, “not feeling well and having some health issues.” Not into her music but, hope she recovers quickly.
Funny, that never crossed my mind. My first thought was ovarian cancer or that really nasty form of leukemia, given she’s the perfect age to present with those.
Yes, I am a disaster thinker at times.
This isn’t mentioned in links, but for those who grew up through the 1980s, Mary Ann Mobley passed away at age 75. She seemed like a lovely lady and was one of the few Miss Americas who established a long-term acting career.
She had a botched nose job…..and trying to fix it fast.
