These are photos of Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott at NYC’s pricey Trump Hotel a few weeks ago. They splurged because Tori loves expensive vacays, and her coat looks very lavish too. Dean looks like a tool in his ensemble. Season Two of True Tori went out with its usual brand of ridiculousness. Tori made a huge deal out of how she can’t pee alone because of their four children. She got angry at Dean for inviting one of his female rehab friends over to help him watch the kids when Tori went out of town. Because Dean’s incapable of taking care of his children all by himself? Oh, and the season ended with Dean asking Tori why she’s with him and complaining, “I’ve sacrificed chunks of my soul” for the show.
This week’s InTouch has an interview with Dean’s ex, Mary Jo Eustace. She’s alovely woman who was jilted when Dean started sleeping with Tori the first day they met. Mary Jo had lunch with Tori earlier this season. She was paid $10,000 for her trouble, and the encounter reflected badly upon Tori. All Tori wanted was drama for the cameras, and Mary Jo’s incredible poise made Tori look like a d-bag. Now Mary Jo’s talking about all the crap she saw that didn’t make it on camera:
Dean McDermott’s ex, Mary Jo Eustace, believes Tori Spelling is in desperate need of rehab!
In an exclusive interview with In Touch Weekly, Mary Jo paints a disturbing picture of Tori’s life behind the scenes, which she witnessed while spending time with the family and filming for their show, True Tori.
“Sadly, now I actually know what goes on behind the scenes in their home and that is even more tragic than what makes it on camera,” Mary Jo claims in the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now. “Tori needs rehab more than him.”
She says she accepted Tori and her ex-husband’s invitation to appear on True Tori, “to rewrite the narrative that I was the older, bitter wife,” Mary Jo tells In Touch. “I wanted to show how we as a blended family could move forward and be civil and respectful.”
But she explains that what she saw was disturbing — including fighting in front of the kids and Tori’s notoriously cluttered house.
“She needs serious help for the hoarding issue — she’s admitted her kids aren’t even fazed by her extended hospital stays anymore. And all their fighting in front of the children — it’s so dark.”
Mary Jo tells In Touch that she also witnessed Tori’s crippling insecurity during Hattie’s birthday party — obsessing over her mom Candy’s interaction with Mary Jo. “Tori came up to me in a panic and said, ‘What were you talking to my mother about? My mother takes all my friends.’ It was so incredibly sad and disconcerting,” she tells In Touch. “She needs counseling to stop blaming her parents for her issues and take responsibility for the things that got her in this situation.”

Shots fired! None of what Mary Jo says is a huge surprise. We already saw Tori’s storage warehouse full of junk, and Tori has whined so much about how her dad wouldn’t want her to downsize. Tori has major issues, and she does need help. What’s funny is that classy Mary Jo is the one saying it. I wonder if Mary Jo got paid for this story. Get it, girl.
The new issue of Star has a story about how Tori is ruining her children with True Tori. The tabloid interviewed a therapist who hasn’t treated Tori’s children but says the kids are clearly under a great deal of stress. Yeah. I could have told you that without the PhD.

I’m sorry, but after reading this I have to disagree with you that Mary Jo is lovely and classy. This interview was the opposite of that. I think she should just be grateful every day to be rid of the Deaner and stay out of it. Even if what she says is true, she didn’t need to be the one to say it.
I agree. I’m sorry Mary Jo was married to a dirt bag, but ultimately Tori did her favor in the long run. I think it makes her look bad to be a part of their show. Also I don’t remember a “narrative of her being an angry, bitter ex wife” from anyone but Tori and Dean, and who cares what they think.

Yeah, I thought Mary Jo used that conversation to inject more doubt and uncertainty into Tori’s mind. I thought she was very passive/aggressive. I don’t think Mary Jo is supposed to be all sweetness and light about her ex-husband and his new wife, but I wouldn’t call her classy or lovely.

I agree- talking to a tabloid like this is not a classy move. If she has serious concerns for the children’s well being, deal with it privately or through CPS.

I think Mary Jo is allowed a few moments of ” mild revenge” towards this twit and the A hole ex-husband that left her very publicly — regardless of how we feel about him — she loved him when he walked out and it hurt her. Let her have a snarky comment or two so what?

Confession time> I saw this episode online where Tori met Mary Jo for lunch (I was home sick and dazed on flu meds, ok!) and Tori was a complete dbag. The storyline was Tori told Mary Jo she wanted to meet her to speak about rules for Jack (MJ and Deans son) and then Tori played the pity me card, how she was hurt that the man she cheated with had now cheated on her. Woe is Tori. Glad Mary Jo is making bank off these two fools.
I am now off to spend the rest of the day in the shame corner.
I’ll join you in that corner. I watched this mess as well and was surprised at the difference in maturity between these two. I realize Mary Jo had “preparation” about the image she wanted to project before she went on the show, and could be crazy as a sh*t house rat behind the scenes, but she seemed miles more secure/mature than Tori.

You have a third party member. I watched the first season of True Tori online. But I haven’t seen the second. I came away thinking that their children are so awesome and I felt sorry for them that their parents are such a mess.
i saw the one with the party and when tori saw that her mother was there and talking to mary jo, she said something like the 2 women who have caused me the most drama

I’m the 4th party member. I think the way Mary Jo put it was incredibly restrained. Tori invited her into the mess, and I think it is fair game for MJ to comment in any way she sees fit. And I also think she may be genuinely concerned about the kids. Dean left her in the middle of an adoption, for someone he thought was more bankable. Literally. I say she deserves whatever compensation she gets from this. And not in a nasty way either. MJ didn’t ask to be included in this drama, Dean’s action’s started it and Tori’s invitation finished it.

True that. I would gladly ban showing underaged children on reality TV. If adults want to have cameras 24/7 showing them in the most intimate situations then fine but leave kids out of it.

I agree as well. I don’t think reality tv in this form, where it chronicles someone’s life, is healthy for anyone on it. For kids, I think it can be especially damaging. They’re too young to fully understand the situation, have no choice whether they want to be public or not, and have to live with having all this recorded forever and put out there for public consumption. There may be exceptions out there, but in general I’d fully support the industry no longer allowing kids on these shows.

I actually don’t think the show is staged. If it is then they are both good actors. They have shown so much deep hurt and emotion. I had not watched season two so last night I did watch the first episode with Dean’s ex-wife. (The episodes are free On Demand where I live.)
I liked Mary Jo.
Think about it. If tori get the help she need she might see the situation as it is and throw Dean out. He like the fact that tori is a big volcano of insecurity. I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays into it so she can continue to spiral out of control so he can live the lifestyle he’s accustomed to. Dean had her number from day one. Plus the children are a bonus. What Judge will give that mess custody? She documented her own nervous breakdown for the world to see. Dean would get the kids and her money. Tori knows it and she’s there until someone leaves.

i never thought about it but she has those decade long headaches which she likely has medication for, likely something for depression and anxiety mix it all with a big glass of wine while you berate your spouse in front of your kids

I am 29 too and last summer i discover a wrinkle on my left knee! The right knee is fine…. I always have been slim and i am like WTF?? Is there any way to get rid of the wrinkle?
Her outfit makes me shudder, because it is reminiscent of 1990s prints and light colored hose. Hosiery was once required dress code apparel in many businesses, and I don’t miss it (though it certainly does cover imperfections).
I blame Aaron & Candy Spelling for this hot mess. They indulged her far too much as a child, never gave her structure or boundaries & always bailed her out of whatever nonsense she always “fell” into. Randy, Tori’s brother, has substance abuse issues & I believe is in recovery. He also moved far away from his mom & sister because they are toxic. Tori is a hoarder? Doesn’t surprise me, so is Candy. Apple doesnt fall far from the tree there. Therapy doesn’t benefit narcissists or those with entitlement issues. I actually feel sorry for Dean. No one deserves this level of toxicity because they cheated on a spouse. Someone cheats, you leave & don’t look back. You also don’t bring a letter to a lunch with the current spouse of your ex, so Mary Jo is not the saint she’s being made out to be by some of the posters on here & celebitchy. I guess money wins every time over dignity & class. If she really was classy, she would have turned the $10,000 down. No amount of money is worth dealing the circus that is Tori Spelling & her show True Tori.
Tori & Dean screwed up Mary Jo’s marriage during the time when MJ & Dean were in the process of adopting a daughter.
I understand why MJ brought that letter. She knew that the filming was about Tori wanting MJ to comfort her as another ‘victim’ of Dean’s cheating. But I think MJ wanted Tori to know that she wasn’t that special for Dean to chose her over MJ and that she’s just like any other woman cheating with a married man. AND she got paid $10,000 to say that in an indirect way to Tori. Good for her!
Yeah, Tori’s parents probably could have done a better job, but in the end, Tori is now old enough to know better, she’s got four children that she needs to do better for, and she can afford all the therapy in the world. Her mother would probably be glad to pay for it all just to get some peace and quiet.
I think you’re right that Tori should just leave Dean if she’s going to toxic like that. But they’re both staying because, imo, they’re both famewhores more so than being good parents.

I have to admit that I hate watch this. And I watched some of the previous seasons of their shows, because I was just fascinated that Turnbull from Due South was with Tori Spelling. Anyone remember that show? Regardless what you might think of Dean personally, he was funny on that show.
Anyway, I was surprised to see the episodes with Mary Jo and how civil she was with the two of them, and for the most part they all seemed to be getting along. So I don’t get why she would run to a tabloid with this. Not that Tori and Dean are my favorite people, but this wasn’t a classy move at all.
What’s been most annoying about this show is how sometimes I’ve sided with Dean. He seems to be better with the kids, he doesn’t really want to work out all the drama with Tori on television like she does, he’s more down to earth. She wants to continue with the show, she hates how being around the woman whose husband she slept with always makes her feel so nervous and sick, she complains about not having enough money but won’t get rid of her 100+ storage units of crap, and on and on. I hate when I actually feel sympathy for the guy who cheated.
Mary Jo is a veteran TV person in Canada, no coaching needed. Dean has a type: rich daughters. MJ’s dad is one of my lawyers. He’s highly intelligent, sarcastic and funny as hell. MJ and her sister are both together kind of women – organized and professional. She is a thousand times wittier than the neurotic Tori Spelling. The husband is a tool and has what he deserves. Until he finds another rich daddy’s girl…
Am I the only person who sees Tori having 4 kids she doesn’t much bother with as a kind of hoarding? Older interviews had her talking about wanting enough kids to make a hockey team or talking about wanting “just one more”. She’s not unlike Octomom or Gosselin. The kids are props, fun to dress up, part of an image, but in the end she had them because she enjoyed the attention from pregnancy (especially back to back ones) and liked/likes having babies. She doesn’t care if she’s embarrassing her school age older ones on national TV. Dean’s a tool- that OUTFIT- and he’s stuck with an emotional mess of a partner that he probably was infatuated with in the beginning. She adored him, needed him, looked up to him, couldn’t be without him for a second, did as he wanted sexually- but it all gets old really quickly. MaryJo may need the money, or she may want her say, but she may also feel genuine concern for Tori’s kids. Anyone with eyes would.
