Here’s an Instagram from Kim Kardashian from several days ago. It’s actually a throwback photo from a pre-Grammy event that we covered a few weeks ago – go here to see the original photos. This brings me to a Star Magazine story in last week’s issue. Long story short, Star Mag claims Kim pays a graphic artist $100,000 a year just to Photoshop her Instagrams. What do you think? Clearly, Kim’s Instagrams are Photoshopped, but does she do it herself or does she pay someone to do it?
Meanwhile, Kim tweeted some stuff during the Oscars and as it turned out, she didn’t even leave her house on Sunday night. The Daily Mail said Kim had finally gotten a much-desired invite to the VF Oscar party – maybe she did, maybe she didn’t. All I know is that I actually missed seeing Kim at some of the parties. I’m fully admitting that Kim’s presence would have livened things up! So, why didn’t Kim leave her house? She was… getting a piano lesson?
She’s got better things to do! Kim Kardashian decided to try her hand at a new musical hobby instead of attending the Academy Awards or any Oscar afterparties, as she usually does.
“Just finished my piano lesson in time to watch the Oscars’ red carpet!!!” Kardashian, 34, tweeted on Sunday, Feb. 22.
North West’s mom also had a special treat in mind for her husband Kanye West. “I’m going to surprise Kanye by learning one of his songs!” she gushed to her 29 million followers. “He’s hardly on social media so he won’t know I’m tweeting this lol.”
When asked by a Twitter user if she’ll be making an appearance, she responded: “I have no one to watch North so we’re watching together in our pj’s! Next year for sure!”
You can read the rest of Kim’s tweets here. Incidentally, she and North left New York in the middle of NYFW last week, and Kanye flew on to London. I kind of think Kim didn’t got to any Oscar parties was because Kanye wasn’t there to dress her. Right?

It says right on the vanity fair website for the oscars that “contrary to popular belief, kim kardashian was not invited” . They said they didn’t want reality stars there because if the first thing you see when you walk into a party is Kim Kardashian, that sets the tone for the evening. So they wanted to keep their party classy and I love them for it.

I would think that VF’s guests want to let their hair down and trust that everything they say and do will not end up on social media. No way do they want people like KK inside.

I know that is so unbelievable. She never goes to these high profile events by herself eg the Grammys, The Met even the white house correspondence dinner she went with her mom, maybe she feels awkward without Kanye.
She flies all over the world and goes to events by herself all the time. Don’t buy that she feels awkward without Kanye.
I read that they never leave North with just a nanny. Apparently a family member has to be there to watch the nanny.
Anyway, I think she could have got into a party. Common and John Legend attended her wedding and they won an Oscar.
Let’s not forget that Khloe went to the Oscars and went to parties.
Somehow I don’t believe she has to have a family member to watch the nanny. When they are travelling and North isn’t out with them, who watches her but the nanny, by herself.
She could have gotten into Elton Johns party. Anyone can go there. VF is different. There’s timed tickets and the earlier your ticket, the more A list you are considered. You can also only bring the number of guests listed on your ticket or you will be denied entry. Later in the night, they let the CW stars, etc. arrive but it’s limited. Graydon Carter notoriously once said that if Kim K, is the first person others see at a party, it says something about the party. He’s even more elitist than Anna Wintour, who is up Kanye’s butt for some reason.
Then there’s Madonna and Guy Oseary’s party. Invite list is very exclusive. No media there at all. Also he Governors Ball – mostly for the winners and the nominees.
I can’t say for certain she wasn’t invited to VF but I do feel safe saying if she had been, she likely would have gone. That girl will show up at a rec center if she thought it would give her brand publicity.
Oh, please. Khloe worked the E! show and wasn’t at any exclusive parties. That’s hardly going to the Oscars. She was up in an E! booth, they didn’t even let her work the carpet. And Kim’s not married to Common or John, so no, she doesn’t get to tag along with either of them.
Nannies, maids, people off Craigslist, fans off twitter, a million brothers and sisters, and she can’t find anyone?
Funny. I don’t think she has a problem going to Dubai by herself. Nope she couldn’t get an invite and so she stayed home. And I hope this continues to be the norm, no invitations to high profile events. Maybe just maybe she will disappear and take her family with her and yes I am including Mr. RantYe West in that.
@ Lb is that what it is, ‘timed tickets’ I always wondered how they don’t end up in a stampede at the Met ,I knew there must be some level of coordination of course but I had not heard of these timed tickets.
Yeah the tickets at VF are timed and the number of invites are very specific. I saw someone post a picture of their ticket online. The ticket designates how many people can come at what time and very clearly says not to bring more people than allowed at the time allowed or you will be denied.
I’m not sure about the Met Ball but I think they must again designate what time to arrive. People seem over the Met Ball in recent years though. Gwenyth may have been the most vocal but I’ve heard rumblings that the Met Ball has lost its touch plus you can pay to go there (like 25 grand per ticket), whereas for the VF Oscar party you cannot.
Isn’t the Met Ball a fundraiser after all for the Costume Institute at the Met?

I don’t understand why Khloe was part of the E! Red Carpet. She knows nothing about fashion and literally spent the night “smizing” for the cameras. It was so annoying. She didn’t give any good input and just sat there and said “yeah I like that dress”. They couldn’t find anyone else?

I believe she has a Photoshop specialist on call since the pics are posted while she’s out and about. Unlikely she’s a master of mobile based photo software. She emails them in to a processing center so they get posted quickly and it appears they came straight from her phone with no tweaking.
