Here are some photos of Jill Duggar and her cat-hating husband Derick Dillard celebrating their baby shower over the weekend. They had their baby shower at… Olive Garden. I honestly didn’t know Olive Garden would host a baby shower, or maybe the Duggars just organized a private room or something? Financially, I guess it makes sense. Jill Duggar does seem to go in for thrift – last fall, we discussed her baby registry at Walmart, and how people could buy Gatorade and Purell for the baby. Olive Garden has pretty reasonable prices, so if you’re going to do a baby shower there, lots of people could eat for less than $15 each.
I was trying to figure out if this baby shower signaled a larger movement, like the Duggars and Olive Garden are getting into bed with each other politically (like Duck Dynasty and Cracker Barrel). I thought I remembered something about Olive Garden and their parent company, Darden, being in bed with conservative politicians. I had to look it up – Darden is a big political contributor overall and they do give a lot to Republican politicians. But they hedge their bets and give to some Democrats too. Darden also looked for ways to get out of complying with the Affordable Care Act. My verdict: Darden is probably not in bed with the Duggars, but the Duggars do like that Darden has mostly conservative views. Plus, who knows? Maybe Jill Duggar has just been craving unlimited breadsticks.
Also, Jilly is due really soon! She’s due exactly nine months after her wedding date, June 21, 2014. Which would mean… end of this month. She waited a while to have her baby shower, right?

I swear this is going to be an 8 pound preemie .
LOL! Who knows, maybe they just scheduled the wedding for when she was ovulating? It wouldn’t surprise me at all!
That poor baby.
It’s dilly all right.
That is the most depressing headline I’ve read today.
Exactly 9 months? A “normal” pregnancy is 40 weeks, so more most that’s closer to 10 months than 9. But I’m sure they just naturally conceived on their wedding night without having any prior relations…
Pregnancies are dated from the first day of the last period, so at least two of those 40 weeks are before you are actually pregnant. I’ve read that they plan their weddings around ovulation, so i wouldn’t be remotely shocked that they got pregnant on their wedding night.
+1
It’s actually 9 exact months and one week.
Mine is dated from July 9. I’m due April 15th. That’s exactly 9 months and 6 days. Or 40 weeks.
Not ten months. That ten month bullshit irritates me. You don’t celebrate a baby’s one month birthday 4 weeks after birth. You wait a full month.
Wait. I was supposed to celebrate a birthday at 1 month?! Oops.
@ripley haha. No. But the amount of Facebook posts I see for babies born (for example) march 10 that say on April 7 “my baby is 1 month old today!” Makes me admittedly irrationally ragey.
It shouldn’t and I’m ridiculous. But it drives me bonkers.
Thank you!!!!!!! This 10 month bs makes me crazy! People go 40 divided by 4 equals 10 months…wrong!!!!! A month is 4.33 weeks! Which equals 9 months and 1 week….but you aren’t pregnant for the first two weeks of that 40 weeks is it actually means you are pregnant LESS than 9 months.
So sick of women saying it’s 10 months! It’s only ten months if you suck at math.
I wonder if they stole a tray from a waitperson and tried to run over some oldsters who were there for Senior Day. I want to punch them right in their Duggars.
I’ll hold them for you.
Have they made any type of statement at all regarding Derrick trying to hit the cat? What sanctimonious, hypocritical jerks.
This family is so tacky (but that little onesie is kind of cute). I would have enjoyed this post more if the shower had been at Chik Fil et, or Papa Johns, and other nuts were in attendance like Sarah Palin, Duck Commander, Kirk Cameron, Kid Rock, and Ted Nugent.

Yes!
This is just one of many for them. Because Jesus loves them the MOST!
The mommy-to-be usually doesn’t organize her own baby shower. And since she refers to them as Derick’s church family, she most likely didn’t have any say in the location. I don’t find the timing strange, I’ve known people who didn’t have a baby shower until after the baby was born. It’s usually a one time deal, unlike a wedding where you have both the bridal shower and the wedding.
I will be shocked if she isn’t making another baby announcement by Christmas.
I hope a cat pooped in their All-You-Can-Eat pasta bowl.
Barf in the sauce would be more practical.
As my 100% Italian father would say, the walmart of italian food! But Americans do love their chains! It is very sad, runs out a lot of good, quality, local, long-time mom and pop places.
Derick looks and acts like an inbred hillbilly. Gross.
You forgot gay
And then they went to the animal shelter to throw rocks at all the orphaned animals…
That onesie…like he’s actually going to be doing any of the work. Give me a break.
Just looking at this cult family makes bile rise in my throat.
How people like these and the Kartrashians became famous is beyond me. If it weren’t for Celebitchy I would not know who they all are.
I feel dumber just knowing they exist and get PAID for the trash they spew.

Hey! I used to work at Olive Garden! Good memories! During the “Never Ending Pasta Bowl” one of the guests ate 5 small portions of various pastas and threw up. Another kid who looked like he was about 7 years old ate his meal and then his mom breast fed him at the table. So as you see it IS a perfect place for a baby shower.
I don’t know what I’m more grossed out by, the Duggars or the food at the Olive Garden (blech)
I still can’t tell which duggar this one is. Then again, I don’t need to, but I enjoy the crazy.
The timing is a bit off… due dates are typically calculated by adding 7 days to the start of the last menstrual cycle and then 9 months to that number. While ovulation can vary, she would have had to started her last menstruation around 7 days prior to the wedding to be given her current anticipated due date. Even then it’s iffy, as ovulation typically occurs 12-16 days prior to the next cycle. I’m more apt to believe she was knocked up a week or two prior to the wedding. Nursing school for the win!
