Here are some photos from last night’s NYC show/event for the Chanel Paris-Salzburg Metiers d’Art Collection. Chanel got a great turnout, like always, and a nice mix of celebrities and model types. This is just a photo-heavy post because I don’t have much to say about these people, just FYI. Let’s start with Dakota Johnson. She’s now a big enough star that she’s getting all of the big-deal invites to all of the fashion events. During Paris Fashion Week, she was one of the biggest names at the Dior show. And at this Chanel show, I feel like she was one of the big invites too. Is Dakota trying to establish herself as a big Fashion Girl? Anyway, I think her Chanel suit is too fussy for someone so young.
Speaking of youth, Vanessa Paradis brought her teenage daughter Lily-Rose Depp to the event. Vanessa needs to keep an eye out for Bradley Cooper, because this whole situation is very Vladimir Nabokov.
Pharrell Williams is still trying to make the shorts/bellhop look happen.
Lily Collins got a haircut, which distracts from her eyebrow situation. She still looks about 14 years old though.
Oh, Alexa Chung! Does she have the glow of a woman getting some hot Viking action on the reg?
Dylan Penn is still trying to happen.
And finally, Julianne Moore. She wore Chanel when she won her Oscar, so now she’s going to be forever associated with the brand.

None of that collection appeals to me – everyone looks awkward and all but Dakota’s ensemble seems to be ill fit. Gosh how I wish Lagerfeld would just take Choupette and Wintour and leave the fashion world alone.
Word.
Right? Everybody looks baggy and 70’s, like stuffed sacks. Nobody needs waistlines that make them look thicker in the middle.
Dakota looks beautiful, as long as she is not opening her mouth. I hope she learns to talk well on the red carpet. Someone should take the time to guide her.

everything looks ridiculous, like pillow stuffing dyed black or those Hospital/service elevator fabric coverings that have been bedazzled and beglittered on top of that most of these pics look to be of people that are either jetlagged or just woke from a Nap and Yeah Dakota Is your undereyes bags im talking about

I think Dakota’s outfit is very unflattering, but I think it might look better if she had styled her hair differently, like a fancy updo.
Lily-Rose looks so pretty and I’ve always been a fan of Vanessa.

Alexa looks very sick again. I saw some pics of her last week modeling some campaign, and her arms were like toothpicks. Really scary thin.
I am curious what Dakota’s outfit is like without the jacket. Is it a sheath underneath? I like the fabric but the coat makes it too fussy.

I like he eyebrows at well. She has such a classicaly pretty face, but the brows make her look a little bit edgier.
The same goes for the new haircut. It would probably look really bad on most people, but she pulls it of.
And I like that she doesn’t submit to all the people telling her how ugly the eyebros are and that she NEEDS to have them changed immediately.
Yes, she looks young and fresh and I like it. Short hair suits her too.
The eyebroews-there are only a couple of faces with strong eyebrows, but they have a staying power for me. I think about Cara Delevigne and Amal Clooney, although with Amal I always think about Cruella de Ville too.
I like her eyebrows too (with a good comb) . Why is it cool on Cara but not on Lily? She ‘made them happen’ sooner than her if I’m not mistaken.
Some women will wear anything from big name fashion designers. All these outfits are fug.
Dakota Johnson needs another hairstyle. Frumpy.
I love some of their makeup and hairstyles but every single outfit is atrocious. They all look terrible, every single one.
