It’s a twofer for newlyweds Nikki Reed, 26, and Ian Somerhalder, 36, who lounged beachside in Tulum, Mexico, before jetting off to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Twilight alum and the Vampire Diaries actor, who wed in an intimate ceremony in Malibu, California, on April 26, first spent a few days in Mexico in an oceanfront suite at the boutique hotel Ana y Jose.
“They enjoyed the beach and the ocean,” a source tells PEOPLE. “They also went on several adventurous outings near their hotel. They seemed to have a great honeymoon.”
Next stop? Rio, where the couple also met up with some of Somerhalder’s costars for press commitments. The newlyweds, who had a double date with Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin on Saturday, had a more romantic dinner à deux the following night.
Over a meal of Brazilian food and red wine at Pomar Oragânico, “they were kissing nonstop!” an eyewitness says. “They looked very happy.”
Adds a source close to the couple: “They are over the moon to finally be married.”

The honeymooners are surrounded by historic sites and tourist attractions, “but they didn’t see much of the sites. Instead, they locked themselves away in their bedroom for hours on end for hot and steamy sex sessions.” The source adds that every time the “insatiable” couple left their hotel room, “they certainly appeared flustered. But then they were soon back in the bedroom for another few hours, resurfaced for an hour or two, then straight back for more lovemaking.” Finally, Nikki and Ian don’t plan on having kids anytime soon: “They feel that would actually be a bit of a rush.”
Well, at least they’re happy. Nikki has now wed twice by age 26. She barely rested a moment between splitting with Paul McDonald and hooking up with Ian. Who knows, maybe it’s real. Yes! I find him creepy. He always seems to have the same “costume” on….the dark, deep V t-shirt and some stupid fedora. Even when he isn’t wearing the t-shirt, he has his shirt open at least 1 button too far.

I don’t know, I think that they are in this one for the long haul. Ian has never made it a secret that marriage and children were the end game for him. He was never involved with anyone who wanted those things and then he met someone who is and now they are married. I don’t think there is the worry of one of their star eclipsing the other. I am rooting for them. I like Ian, always have.

Are you crazy? First of all she got divorced and married again by the age of 26! If that’s not stupid then I don’t know what is. They are both so not private about their lovelife that I want to throw up. She has nothing going on anymore (spare me her attempts to stay relevant) and tries to milk this relationship as hard as she can. Good luck to them, I give them a few years.

Yeah, that was my point, I believe her divorce was finalised in January and they we’re married at the end of April. It gives me the impression that she just loves being married, 2 marriages at the young age of 26 is a little alarming. It was always casual, nothing serious, but in typical Nikki fashion, she always called the papz when they went out and staged things. Even if they were doing random every day things like going to the post office and getting boxes, the papz were already there and she was loving it. Rob was not. The fans saw right through her and that’s when they turned on her. Rob noticed it too and distanced himself from her. At this point the media and the public are discovering Robert, so she’s trying to place herself as The Girlfriend. She starts talking about him the same way she talks about her other men “he’s a brilliant artist with a beautiful old soul.” She gets his music on the soundtrack of his first movie. She becomes tight with his sister. Still, the minute Kristen is single, Rob goes after her. Bye, Nikki. The fans are loving it.

She’s emotionally needy and very co-dependent. I think it has to do with having a very unstable homelife when she was little. She moved out of her house at age 14, and grew up too fast. I feel like part of her wants to find the family she never had. And I feel for her in that sense, but she needs to take it easy and tone down her attention whoring brcause it’s not believable. Tons of broken engagements and divorces before she’s 30, idealizing these men to the point of worship (in one of the music videos she did with her ex, he was playing the guitar and she was kneeling before him as he sang. *Kneeling*). She worshipped Robert, and I like him, but he treated her like sh*t knowing she had feelings for him. Her ex basically used her Twilight money to finance his first album (that guy could not have paid for that himself). Ian seems a bit off as well.

Well, after her crazy “fairytale” courtship and marriage to the Idol guy, it’s hard to believe this will stand the test of time. Once the glow of infatuation recedes and the irritations start to mount, will she be able to resist seeking out her next fairytale?
