Everyone always yells at me for being a Kanye West Apologist, but can we all agree that Kanye is pretty genuine about his love for his family? I mean, yes, he treats Kim like his personal Barbie doll and there’s no question he’s a narcissistic monster. But I also think he believes very strongly in his family, in being a family man and being very “present” in his wife and daughter’s lives. So it wouldn’t surprise me at all to learn that Kanye is bothered by the whole Scott Disick thing. So says People Magazine’s source.
Kourtney Kardashian has an unexpected ally in her corner: brother-in-law Kanye West. While most of the Kardashians have rallied around Kourtney in the wake of her split, West is channeling some of his energy toward Scott Disick.
“Kanye is furious, maybe the most furious of everyone,” says a source close to West, 38. “He’s saying that a real man doesn’t abandon his family like Scott is doing.”
According to the source, West is most concerned about the couple’s three children: Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 6 months.
“He has made it crystal clear that he’s willing to step in and be a strong male figure to the kids if they need him to be,” says the source. “He feels strongly about that.”
But even West would consider letting bygones be bygones if Disick, 32, would make an effort.
“If Scott comes back and faces things like a grown man, he’ll be surprised how much forgiveness there can be – from every member of the family,” says the source. “He needs to have a healthy relationship with his kids, and he can’t have that unless he has a healthy relationship with Kourtney and her family. Everyone’s hoping he finally makes the right choice.”
I can see how the idea of Scott “abandoning” his children would infuriate Kanye specifically, but I question this idea of Kanye riding in on a white horse to save the Kardashian-Disick children. Besides all that, Kourtney and Scott’s relationship has been dysfunctional for years. I feel like it’s the budget version of the Affleck-Garner split – having three children didn’t “save” the relationship or make Scott/Ben “grow up”. With each child, the relationship just grew more and more dysfunctional. So… whatever. Kanye is the savior for the Kardashian women. Kanye will protect all the children.
Kanye is actually in Paris right now, partying and spending time with his fashion friends while Kim is at home in LA, gestating and taking care of North. Yesterday, Kim and Kris Jenner took Kourtney and the kids to Disneyland for Penelope’s birthday.

Exactly. Maybe he should first step in and be a hands-on dad to his own daughter rather than just trotting her out to fashion shows or pap walks dressed in abominable clothes and looking scared to death.
He also doesn’t spend much time with his father or anyone from his side of the family. He spends all holidays, etc. with the Kardashians.

He’s off having a good old time while his wife is at home with their daughter and unborn son (and 3 nannies). I think Kanye just can’t stand being around pregnant women lol. Also, I blame Kourtney. She knew Scott was an a$$hole when they only had one child. She then had 2 more after that. She used Scott because she wanted kids…and he used her because he wanted fame. They both got what they wanted.

Kanye needs to mind his own damn business. A big part of why these women can’t keep men or have healthy relationships is because they’re all way too involved in each other’s lives. Not only did Kourtney treat Scott like crap, her family spoke to him like he was garbage as well. No one should ever tolerate that or allow their partner to be disrespected and talked down to by their relatives. I have a very tight knit family but some things are off limits, like marriages and relationships. Kanye is not the family’s husband, he’s Kim’s husband. This is probably some attempt to make him seem like some wonderful doting father and husband, but it really just makes him seem like a complete Svengali who not only doesn’t even trust his own wife to dress herself, but also wants to rule her whole family now, too.

To play devil’s advocate…if he really is in the midst of a drug or alcohol meltdown, it makes sense to block him from the kids.
(That said–I know next to nothing about Kourtney, Scott or their relationship, so…)
+ 1,000,000 Velvet. I believe Scott has issues. But I truly don’t believe he’s the POS they make him out to be on the show. That’s the role they wanted him to play. I wouldn’t put it past Kourtney to keep him from the kids to make him look like a deadbeat. All these women know how to to is use men to their advantage.
If Scott gave a damn, he’d be in LA for his daughter’s BIRTHDAY and, if Kourtney tried to keep him away, he would GO BALLISTIC AND SAY LET ME SEE MY DAUGHTER FOR HER BIRTHDAY B!TCH. But, no. He’s not doing that. He’s partying time zones away, while his daughter celebrates her birthday wondering why her daddy isn’t there. I don’t doubt there are two sides to this story, but I doubt very much that any dad who wasn’t fighting tooth and nail to see his kid on her birthday really gives a sh!t about his family.

But Kylie is the “mature” teenager, so it’s ok to turn a blind eye to her creepy relationship with a grown a$$ father of one– and condoning that mess is NOT showing Kylie much love, IMO.

Ok, I admit I’ve softened up toward him. He was raised by a single mom, right? What pisses me off is when guys look the other way when their friends/relatives cheat on or abandon their family. It’s a little refreshing to see a guy totally offended by Disick and his douchery.
You’re supposed to have softened on him. That’s the storyline they’re spinning for Kayne. But I still see a horse’s butt. What he said about Amber alone is all I need to know about this guy. And I don’t believe for a minute that he’s a devoted family man. He loves himself, and loves his image, and very likely the child because he could only have perfect offspring. But when he talks about Kim, he talks about her as a product and a look but never as a person.

Bingo. Does anybody actually believe Kourtney has the backbone to leave Scott for good? Please, she’s put up with it for 9 years and had 3 kids with him knowing he had addiction issues. This is just a publicity stunt, so she has a storyline. There are really only two options here: a) they “broke up” for publicity, but Scott will go to fake rehab again (just like in March); they’ll reconcile within a couple of months (or at the very latest, the end of the year), just in time for the season premiere of KUWTK. They’ve slipped up already, though. A girl who works next to Kylie’s house reported seeing Scott there on July 9, leading her to speculate he and Kourtney were already “back on.” She also saw Tyga show up on the same day, so she doubts he even cheated on Kylie. lol or b) Considering they’re filming right now, Kourtney and Scott are playing this out to build up her storyline for the next season of KUWTK; they may not have even broken up at all and the situation is the same it’s always been between them. Quite frankly, both options are equally plausible.

I am already sick of the media spin on all of this. Kanye simply sees a way to get some good positive PR. Remember, they are filming a new season right now. They want to peak everybodys interest. Seems to be working as all media outlets are focused on this non story. This is not any different than what they have filmed at least a dozen times. Except Scott is spiraling further down in his disease that I believe is going to cost him his life. Too bad people aren’t as concerned about that as they are the story.
That’s the tricky part of it. For the most part, I think the whole Kourtney and Scott “breakup” is staged, especially the “cheating” photos. It’s not like she was never aware of the rumors about him cheating on her before, so I find it hard to believe she’d dump him because he was “caught cheating” in public. lol Plus, I don’t think she has enough of a backbone to actually leave him for good to be quite honest with you. Not to mention, all gossip outlets have been able to easily identify Chloe Bartoli in those pictures and you’re telling me it’s just a coincidence that’s her name? lol Yeah, right. I mean, Scott was actually LOOKING into the camera in at least one of those “cheating” photos and they were sharper than Caitlin’s Vanity Fair photoshoot. lol And like you said, they are filming for the show right now. It’s so obvious the whole thing is a PR stunt and Kourtney’s storyline for next season, because they want KUWTK to beat I Am Cait – it’s a ratings grab.
I mean, 99% of their lives are scripted anyway and the show itself is obviously scripted. And, you know they play up scenes to be worse than they actually are for dramatic effect. That being said, I’ve always felt Scott’s addiction issues were the only real aspect of the show. If I’m right and this whole “breakup” is staged for KUWTK, that’s a new low to exploit his addiction struggles for a storyline (even if he did sign off on it). Right now, it doesn’t seem like anybody in this family is focusing on forcing him into rehab and doing what’s best for him (contrary to all the PMK planted stories, putting the classic Kardashian PR spin on it, which would have you believe Kourtney is staging an intervention with Scott’s friends). What Scott needs right now is some “tough love,” he needs SERIOUS help or he’s going to end up dead. That should be everyone’s primary concern at the moment, not ratings. Sadly, the Kardashians are really the only family he has now.
