Kylie Jenner introduced her new lipstick line on Instagram yesterday, so impressionable young girls can have lips like Kylie. I don’t blame her for cashing in, of course. It is sketchy that she’s selling products that capitalize upon her lip fillers even though the Kylie Jenner lip challenge may have caused lasting damage for some of its participants. We shouldn’t be too surprised, however. Everything is smoke and mirrors with this family, and the butt cream endorsement will turn into something odd too.
There are several Kylie stories out there, so let’s do bulletpoints:
* Kylie has so many cars, she doesn’t know what to do. Kylie received an expensive Ferrari and maybe a second car “from Tyga” for her birthday. So she’s unloading her $173,000 Range Rover through a private broker. Cash only, if you are interested.
* Kylie’s VIP birthday party at a Canadian nightclub was a total bust for guests. The lady of honor reportedly netted $200,000 to show up for a few hours. Complex magazine sent a poor reporter to live the nightmare of being stuck in a pile of rabid Kardashian fans. Kylie was allegedly rude and wouldn’t look at the crowd, except to purse “her weaponized lips.” Guests paid $150 apiece to catch an in-person glimpse of the youngest Jenner. If people pay that money to see anyone, they only have themselves to blame, right?
* Tyga is filming a new video with a Kylie lookalike who gives him a lapdance, which is fine (?) because Kylie is 18 now. The song, “Bu$$in Out Da Bag,” is completely forgettable like Tyga’s other tunes. You can see the video here.
* Ohhhh, and you’ve probably heard that the pr0n offers are pouring for Kylie now that she’s been 18 for a week. Vivid and other companies are offering to toss up to $10 million into Kylie’s bank account. Their request? A 22-minute video, which I suppose could co-star anyone. Hollywood Life says Tyga is game for participating, of course. He thinks it would be so hot. I hope she doesn’t do it, but I’m sure Kris Jenner feels differently.

Fake hair, nails, lips, and a gallon of makeup. i have a fairly wealthy friend, and let me tell you, with money comes great skin, mini lipo sessions, freckle/sunspot removal, hair extensions…it’s crazy how much better you can look with a lot of money and a team of professionals. nothing will change your self esteem and your inner beauty, but the jenner/kardashians of this world have such a strong influence, less and less people are concerned about the inner person.

I won’t take credit for this but did read a true statement about Kylie somewhere – she is quickly morphing into a real-life Bratz doll.
I like them and they suit her face very well. I think she looks much prettier these days and if she wants to wear that much makeup, that’s her business.

Nah, @TessD is correct, Kylie is very pretty, and stunning in some of these selfies she takes and filters up the wazoo….I see why she used to feel insecure, in old pics, she was very plain, and had absolutely no lips, her whole mouth was flat and thin. In a family where almost everyone else including mom (and now Dad!) are pretty stunning, she probably felt nervous about her own looks, sadly – so she corrected what she saw was holding her back (slippery slope I know). But bottom line it’s hard to deny she’s anything but beautiful these days, I think she’s equal in beauty to Kim and Kendall.
She kinda looks like Zendaya in that first pic, and the 2nd pic definitely am getting Angelina in ‘Salt,’ vibes.

Sorry but we have different standards of beauty. There is nothing beautiful about fake lips, fake hair, fake butt. In my opinion she looks cheap, trashy, vulgar. She builds her self esteem on very shaky ground. It’s is just sad when someone is all about instagram and likes.

Beauty is subjective. TessD is not wrong, nor is she correct. She thinks Kylie looks pretty. I don’t. I think she looks plastic. It’s really not anything to get excited about. For what it’s worth, I also thought Kim was much, much prettier before she starting messing with her face, too. I just don’t care for obvious plastic surgery and truckloads of makeup. Is it just me, or do I get zero jealousy vibes from any of the sisters? I don’t even regularly watch their shows, have only seen snatches of them and a few interviews, but the family on the whole seemingly have an enviable ‘all for one,’ kind of philosophy with each other and seem extremely supportive. So I think its BS and kind of misogynistic to create these tired sexist tropes about older sis being jealous of younger. Do women like getting older? No. I’m sure Kim doesn’t get overjoyed at the prospect, but that’s different than resenting a family member, and it sure as heck doesn’t mean she goes around seething over her younger sisters success. They all seem quite proud of each other.

She looks old, much older than her age, but hey, she will continue using plastic surgeons and dermatologists for the rest of her life. The last she looked like herself was maybe when she was 16 or so.
Tweaking one thing is fine, but she went to alter her coloring with tan and dark foundation, enhance her body with things that exercise cannot modify, alter her features, and so on, and in all this process she has not been able to improve herself academically. If she had posted about homework, studying or just what book she’s currently reading, just a fraction of how much she posts about her lips, I’d have a diff. idea of her,.

Well, yesterday I read an interesting article stating that Bella Thorne, 17, has a boyfriend that is 23. BTW so does Lorde (8 year difference) . She started dating her bf at 16 when he was 24. So, the question that was raised was that why is Kylie and Tyga’s relationship so frowned upon and bashed on the media, comparing to the other starlets? They are all wrong. They are all underage and it should (supposedly) all be gross and inadmissible. But while the other couplings are seen as sweet and only referred to as “X and her older boyfriend”, Tyga is labeled a predator a pervert, rapist, and so on.
Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s gross and I cannot see what she sees in him, but it just goes to show the big bias, how these things are reported… And no matter what people say, it is true. We might think now oh, Lorde and Bella Thorne have those much older boyfriends, kinda creepy but they are cute together, but Kylie and Tyga aren’t.
Anyway I thought it was an interesting read.

I think it’s a combination of people’s dislike for the K-klan, that Kylie is overly sexualized and also the fact that both Lorde’s and Bella’s boyfriends are perceived as harmless and adorable. Tyga is black, he left his baby’s mother for Kylie and he’s a rapper who has had questionable lyrics so he’s automatically seen as a thug.
And also because the Kardashians are always throwing themselves in the public eye. Lorde and Thorne, not so much.

@Mimz, Thanks for the link. Great article. I just recently thought the same about Bella Thorne and her boyfriend. There is a double standard. As far as the article asking why the relationship between Bella and her boyfriend is called “cute” and “adorable” while Kylie’s relationship has been dubbed perverted…the media has been calling Kylie and Tyga’s “FRIENDSHIP” adorable and cute all along. It’s society that had a problem. Never once did a media outlet call out Tyga and Kylie, or Kris Jenner and Caitlyn. All along they’ve been posting pictures of Kylie and Tyga spending time together and it’s been portrayed as “they’re best friends…wink wink!” Khloe defended her sister against Amber when she called them out, and she defended Kylie again in her interview with Complex magazine because she was responding to criticism made by the general public. The media has been on their side all along.
As for why Bella’s relationship doesn’t get picked at, I believe it’s because she’s nowhere near as famous. As for Lorde’s, I think it’s because she tends to keep her private life pretty private–you don’t see Lorde stumbling out of clubs or doing daily pap strolls.
The Kardashian/Jenner family makes a choice every day to live every aspect of their lives publicly, and as a result they’re constantly scrutinized. If Bella Thorne or Lorde did the same, I believe they would receive the same criticism for dating older guys, but they choose to keep the majority of their private lives private so they fly under the radar of most people.
I agree that those age differences are equally gross. The difference here is that the relationship is being exploited to garner fame for Kylie and Tyga.
Don’t know about Bella Thorne because I don’t know who she is, but in NZ (like most western nations) the age of consent is 16. In California it’s 18. That may make a difference to many people.
I wouldn’t have batted an eyelid if she got together with an older guy at 16-17, it’s not uncommon at all or illegal where I’ve spent my life (two different countries) and I did it with no coercion and no negative after effects.

But I think the main thing that skeeves everyone out is the fact that he’s known her since she was 14. Usually, that would result in a kind of big brother-type relationship but in Tyga’s case, it resulted in him waiting till she was 17 to “smash that” or however he put it. I guess what I wonder is if he actually had sex with her before that, during the time that she was 14-17…it’s hard to not think about it and it’s easy for me to believe that happened.

I agree with all of you and, although not as famous as Kylie the other two girls are quite famous in their own demographics, Bella is known as an actress on the Disney channel, so she has her fair share of young impressionable fans. She’s been dressing up “sexy” and grown up for the past two years and she dates a 23 year old. I think it is a problem and she is an influence, although not on the same scale as Kylie.
Lorde also became hugely famous in the past two years, and maybe the difference is that she never hid her relationship but even I was a bit shocked when i learned she was dating someone that much older. Her bf though, looks kind of inoffensive, so there’s that.
I think Kylie, regardless of Tyga’s presence was always going to end up like this, being the “ugly duckling” of the family for so long, she had to rebel and become .. well. Kim 2.0 , much like Khloe also did, although it took her longer to get to this stage.
And, also, we have to consider that Kim Khloe and Kourtney had a semblance of a stable family for a while, when Robert Kardashian was still alive, because ever since Bruce stepped in, had Kylie and Kendall, and became anything else but a father to these girls, they never had a chance…. all hell broke loose…
And if it weren’t Tyga it would be some other a**hole, really. She never had a chance. This is her chance to prove to everyone she’s hotter than all the sisters and that she can do whatever she wants.

Bella was the less talented kid on the Disney TV show Shake It Up, Zendaya was the much more talented kid. Bella’s acting skills seem to be deteriorating as she gets older (same thing happened to Hilary Duff) while Zendaya really does seem to be getting better every year. Zendaya might have a shot at being an actor as an adult, although it may be too early to tell.
Bella seemed to go for “sexpot” very early, and I always suspected it was because she was beginning to realize she wasn’t a good enough actor to make the transition to adult roles otherwise. She didn’t even do well in small parts in kid movies. I hope she doesn’t end up like Lindsay Lohan, who for a few years seemed to get roles only because she was willing to be naked onscreen. Lindsay’s acting skills also were not developing as she grew older, Herbie the Volkswagen was a better actor.
Kid actors get used to the attention and it must be really hard when the attention fades away, as it will for most of them. Not to mention the decline in income.

@Nancy, while she has not had much guidance through life, she could turn things around. A friend of my daughter has been on her own since 16 because she had crap for parents. She is a loving, caring person. She overcame the bad parenting and she did not have the means that Kylie has. Kylie loves the life style she is in and therefore has no incentive to change it. I know some teen girls, and they actually think she is a nightmare – they like Kendall.

We are reacting this way because this is a young girl, who is all about sex sex sex. Just like her older sister. Yes she is gorgeous in het instagram pictures but that is not what she looks like in real life at all.

You can’t even chalk it up to puberty because it just doesn’t work that way, you don’t magically grow an ass and hips in 3 weeks, her eyebrows have MOVED for gosh sake. And it isn’t only makeup because, while it does do wonders, it doesn’t do that much.
Fact of the matter is, if you scroll down her ig feed, you’ll see a difference in her face.
She looks like if you put a candle or any sort of fire near her, she’d melt. But like others have stated before, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Cleo- Kylie always looks sad to me. Her face is not at all natural, it’s like a mask. She might as well be a manikin. That’s what hits people the wrong way. She isn’t ugly and the mask is strange but not ugly on a manikin. She just turned 18. Her skin is young. She has no need to pile on makeup to give the illusion of youth, because she already has it. She shouldn’t be hiding behind a mask at her age. She should be able to just wash her face, comb her real unextended hair, and run off to do the things that happy 18 year olds do. She should have received an excellent education by now, at a good private school that could have dealt with any learning problems she had, and be preparing to leave her family and go to whatever college she wants, so she can be with people talking about something with more depth than lips and hair extensions and find out what else there is in the world. That is what the rest of us were able to do, even without money, but Kylie is missing all that. If she loses her money, what will she do? She has no Plan B, and her Plan A is just sad.
There is so much photoshop – I think she looks beautiful in a lot of her professional shoots, but in candids she is no way near as pretty.
