Singer John Legend, who is expecting his first daughter with model Chrissy Teigen, confessed that he’s more in love than ever with his wife. At an event promoting Stella Artois beer (for which John is a spokesperson) on Wednesday, the 36-year-old crooner proclaimed to US Weekly, “I think she gets a little self-conscious. You know it’s weird when you’re used to looking a certain way, and then all of a sudden you have this new thing growing inside you that changes the way you look. It affects everybody.” He went on to say, “I told her before that I was always attracted to pregnant women, but I never actually had one myself, so now I’m excited to be with a beautiful, pregnant woman.”
It’s a sweet sentiment, but I find it hard to believe John is attracted to all pregnant women. He is married to a model. If I was married to John Legend and pregnant, I find it hard to believe he’d be gushing about my gorgeous pregnant glow to the media. I’m just saying…
You could say the couple is a little baby crazy at the moment, they even sent flowers to Kim Kardashian and Kayne West upon the arrival of their son, Saint. When asked if there would be some potential play dates for the two celeb tiny tots, John mused, “I can imagine that they’ll probably get to know each other over the years, and that will be cool.”
In other Jossy news (that is a pretty horrible celebrity couple moniker, forget I came up with that), Chrissy has taken to her Twitter to lament the fact that the humor has left social media. In a series of tweets, the 30-year-old model ranted, “No one is allowed to joke anymore.” She went on to say, “No one can have fun, or say what they think. It gets blown up into a ‘beef’ or a demand for apology.”
I kind of disagree with her. Chrissy is very outspoken on social media, and her Twitter feuds have been making headlines. Last year, she received death threats after Tweeting about the shootings at Parliament Hill in Ottawa. In September, she had to get on the defensive after joking that she wouldn’t hire a nanny in order to keep hubby John free from temptation. She recently went after presidential candidate (I still can’t get used to saying that) Donald Trump and even went after boxer Floyd Mayweather last week for having a pet tiger (which I kind of think is a bad idea as well). She does tend to pick a lot of online fights. I guess she’s bored since she can’t do any modeling right now. Maybe she should take up knitting… her baby could use some cute booties.

I love her–she’s a breath of fresh air.
I’m finding myself liking her more. And I like their relationship. I think what he’s saying is sweet.
Me too.
And how can one be so happy for the happiness of two people I’ll never get to know? I just love to believe they’re so in love with one another, and that this baby will have a loving home. God bless.
I often think pregnant women are beautiful, but that came out kind of weird.
I took it as he said that to reassure her, since she is insecure with her changing body. That’s how i understood it and i think it’s a lovely thing to say to her.
Im an apologist for both so bear with me .
She used to annoy me, but I’m starting to like her more. Not sure why. I think he meant it to be sweet as well.
No, it’s true that some men are just into it. And it makes sense, as biologically it’s a signal for fertility. And Chrissy has said the same thing about him liking pregnant women in the past.
Your comment made me laugh, because I’m 7.5 months pregnant now, and earlier in the pregnancy I heard my husband whisper to one of the employees in a store where we were shopping, as I was upset in the dressing room, “she’s just having a bit of trouble adjusting to her changing body…” He was right, but it’s nice if John is reassuring his wife like my husband reassured me that he still finds her beautiful.
Why not model some cute maternity clothes for some designer?
She probably will — on the TV she appears on every day.
Her cheeks look like cutlets.
Not sure if she’s enhanced hers, but I have lovely cheekbones, and they be all natural and look pretty identical to hers.
It looks like she has two balls in her cheeks. I think she “enhanced”her look.
I don’t know what’s weird about saying you like the look of pregnant women, models or not. I’ve always liked the look myself, a long time before I got pregnant, and since. I can imagine it can be challenging for women like models and actors, who’ve spent so much time maintaining a certain lower weight, to then need to change directions body weight-wise… but pregnancy and being a parent means your priorities change.
I think it’s sweet of him.
Supermodel or not some men do really like it. I’m far from a supermodel but my husband still found me attractive during my pregnancy, it helps that he’s in love. But I still got hit on while I was pregnant.
I got hit on more when I was pregnant with my daughter than I had in years. It’s a real thing.
I just recently discovered that I’m pregnant with #2 and the first thing out of my husband’s mouth was “You are so damn cute when you’re pregnant. I can’t wait for you to have a bump.” He points out other women and their bumps too. Doesn’t bug me, I think it’s sweet.
Congratulations ! I think it is healthy to find pregnant women attractive. It is in our collective unconscious as pregnant woman represents the perennity of human kind.
So congrats also on your healthy hubby ! 😀
Is she related to George Costanza? Because every time I see her I wanna yell “Cantstandya!!”
I didn’t I’m read into the that he thinks all pregnant women are attractive, so the commentary on this interview is weird.
Pregnant women are hot!
I think it was a sweet sentiment to make to someone who might not be 100% comfortable in their new body. And if they’ve been working for almost six years to get to this point, there might be a small grain of truth in whathe he said.
I think her Twitter rant was re: Floyd Mayweather coming back at her for criticizing his new pet tiger. The more ya know…
What a creep.
I don’t think there’s anything weird about it. Until proven otherwise, I’m going out on a limb and saying we’re clearly not talking about some kind of impregnation fetishist, or creep who seeks out to date pregnant women specifically because they’re pregnant… That would be another story. If I ever decided to have a child, I’d hope my partner found me attractive while I was pregnant, and that he wasn’t ashamed for feeling that way… So props to John.
Making a joke about someone or something doesn’t automatically mean you are picking a fight. I can actually just be a joke. What is up with too sensitive people. Just chill out.
I have an ex who I actually caught ‘red handed’ (so to speak) masturbating to a picture of a pregnant woman modelling maternity clothes. So, yeah. I believe guys can find it a turn on.
