Katie Price would encourage her daughter to be more like Jordan

Oh, Katie Price. From pink outfits for whorish equestrians, to drunkenly throwing food at 3 am, to her orange skin which perfectly matches her husband’s, she never ceases to surprise. She also doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut. Katie has told the press that she would encourage her daughter to become a Page 3 girl, and would show her kids her topless photos when they’re older. For those of you who don’t know (I had to look it up), a Page 3 girl is a glamour girl regular on the third page of the tabloid The Sun. Each week, a girl is featured either nude or scantily clad.

Katie Price has said that she has no regrets about her career as a glamour model and would encourage her daughter to follow in her footsteps.

The reality TV star and entrepreneur told The Sun that she would happily show her children all the topless work she has done when they are older.

Price said: “I don’t have any regrets about who I am. If it wasn’t for the Jordan image I wouldn’t have the house and I wouldn’t be able to support the kids in the way that I do.

“When they’re older I can’t wait to show them everything I’ve done. When Princess goes to The Sun when she’s 18 to be a Page 3 girl, I’ll encourage her.”

She added: “I’ll go: ‘Yeah, get them out for the lads’. I think Page 3 Idol’s brilliant. I started out as a Page 3 girl and it’s a great career.”

I’m not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, it’s great that Katie is happy with her life and with the choices she’s made. On the other hand, I don’t know if it’s appropriate to be talking about your daughter (who is currently 3 years old) becoming a nude model. In fact, I know it’s not appropriate. Even Jenna Jameson has dyed her hair to a natural color and gotten her implants taken out since becoming a mother to twins. Although it would be next to impossible to hide from your children what you do for a living, you’d think Katie wouldn’t have planned out her young daughter’s future career.

What do you all think? Is it appropriate?

Here’s Katie out with husband Peter Andre in Venice Beach on March 10th. Images thanks to Fame Pictures .

With a mother like this, let’s just hope that Princess (sorry, that name makes me want to puke, it’s so conceited – and *I know* it’s not the little girl’s fault but still) will rebel by doing the complete opposite of that. At least, I can’t really imagine a girl being super-proud of her mum having done that. I know that if I were in her shoes, I’d definitely go a different way. Like become a pre-school teacher, marry my high-school boyfriend and never have sex with anyone but him. That kind of thing.

And in answer to your question: there’s nothing wrong with knowing what your parents look like naked but wanting her daughter to be a nude model? Definitely inappropriate in my eyes.

The only thing I hope for her daughter is that she has a healthy body image and doesn’t feel the need to make herself cartoonish/whorish like her mother. But time will tell. Her fate may already be sealed with those two idiots as parents

I sincerely hope her daughter grows up, gets smart, goes to college, gets a doctorate in astrophysics and wins the Nobel peace prize for human achievement in science. I also hope she plays the violin, becomes a black belt in karate, climbs Kilimanjaro and serves in the Peace Corps. Thus showing her idiot mother that a woman CAN be beautiful, smart and accomplished all at the same time. WHY do we limit our women/girls in this way? Having nice tits is great and all, but what the f*** is left after those start to sag? Come on!!!

  4. Annie says:

Oh god, this woman makes me want to vomit.

Yes, please encourage this notion that women are merely sex objects and that’s what we’ve got going for us. It’s not like we’re intelligent or anything so throw those funbags out there!

Hello explotation!!! Now please people that want to THINK look at the article about the desperate family of slum dog.

A parent wants the best for their child. For katie that was the best. However, that said, each child has their own gifts and these should be encouraged; things like playing a musical instrument or a sport or academic – something they genuinely enjoy that will be an accomplishment they, themselves, are proud of. These things should be encouraged in childhood; a precious time. We have just a few years to be a kid and a whole life to be a jaded adult.

Is it wrong that with a little reading between the lines this makes perfect sense?
And, by the way, it’s sort of nice to see someone still grateful for what gave them their “fame” in the first place.

    Hmm…

Number of Page 3 girls: Thousands.

Number who became famous millionaires: Er, two? Maybe three?

Yeah, great career path there, Jordan.

I kind of read the article to mean that she would encourage her daughter to do what she wants to do, EVEN be a Page 3 girl. Why should Jordan regret what she’s done? It’s brought her everything she has now. Besides her boobs are fake anyway so anything being looked at isn’t really real anyway.
