The Independent Spirit Awards are usually pretty loose and come-as-you-are, which means you usually don’t get Fashion Girls just showing up for the hell of it. Like, that’s what the Vanity Fair Oscar party is for. So I’m not entirely sure why Jessica Biel came out for the Spirits – she presented, but was she even IN a film in 2015? Let me check… yeah, she was, but no one saw her sad 2015 films. Still, Biel came out and she tried to “win” the fashion show in this Roland Mouret dress. If I’m being honest, I kind of like this. I love the colors, and I love the low-key vibe. I just want to rework it a little bit. The skirt should be longer and the top part needs to be a touch tighter, and she shouldn’t have tried to match her eye makeup to the dress. Also, check out her shoes!
Rachel McAdams in Solace. God, I want her to look amazing at the Oscars. While this, to me, doesn’t make it up to “amazing” status, it’s pretty good. I like that she went for something slightly different, and this is the most I’ve ever like this shade of pumpkin. I kind of think the dress would have been even better if the whole thing was that shade of cream though.
Bel Powley in Mary Katrantzou Pre-Fall 2016. I like this, I just wish it was fully lined. Right? I have a strange affection for laser-cut leather, but this needed a built-in nude slip.

Jess’s dress and shoes are not doing a damn thing for me. Her dress with the colours looks like a 3D thing and is hard to look at. The shoes ( to me) feel dated, like we saw this 5-6 years ago. Rachel looks amazing and idris can really can wear a suit ( sexy man!!) but I would skip the hat, glasses and his shoes. I know they are not boat shoes but that is what they remind me of.
I don’t usually comment on fashion because it’s not my thing. But I have to say I just LOVE all the feminine, girly floral dresses lately! I know some see them as matronly but I’m so ready for spring and flowers and something anti the yeezy collection 🙂 too bad I’ll be hugely pregnant by the time it’s the season for these where I live. Maybe next season 🙂

I lie Biel’s dress, but I think I would have liked it more if it were shorter. It feels much more casual to me.
I do not like Bel’s dress. It makes her look incredibly boxy and the color does nothing for her.
Rachel looks the best, don’t like the pink belt though, doesn’t go with the look.

I like Jessica’s whole look. I think she looks fabulous, although I’m surprised she attended the Independent Spirit Awards. I like Rachel’s look from the waist up. The cream part of her dress reminds me of a cloth napkin.

She does have an awesome body! She is beautiful, but her look is very strong. This may put her range as an actress to a disadvantage.
She looks really bad. I think she’s really depressed by her career and her career insecurity is what made her marry Justin Cheater Timberlake. She could have done so much better lovelife-wise and been happy with a TV/indie type career instead of going after blockbusters and doing crazy PR stunts (like interviews where she went on and on about never getting a part) to get casting agents to notice her. Her restaurant’s cute though, but it’s bad to feed kids that much dairy and sugar.
Agreed. She looks sad and tired lately. Her career never really went anywhere and now she’s just Mrs Timberlake and I am sure that job is as exhausting as climbing Mount Everest on a daily basis.
