Scientology leader David Miscavige’s dad wrote a tell all book called Ruthless

ruthless_edited-1
ABC news just announced an upcoming 20/20 interview with Ron Miscavige, the father of David Miscavige, the Scientology leader who arguably made it into the ruthless human-rights violating cult that it is today. (Of course L. Ron Hubbard founded the cult, and he was an evil bastard, but I do think Miscavige took it to the next level. See: these articles.) Ron has a book out about his son called Ruthless, it’s coming out in May, and I hope he’s been extra careful about his security because David’s wife, Shelly, kind of disappeared ten years ago. Leah Remini got in deep trouble for even asking about Shelly at a Scientology function, but I digress.

Tony Ortega, a journalist who has tirelessly exposed the cult for years, has a new post about what Ron’s book means and what we can expect it to contain. (Sidenote I read about half of The Unbreakable Miss Lovely, Ortega’s book about how Scientology harassed and sued a young journalist who did exposes on them in the 70s. It was compelling, it flowed well and was well written but it just upset me so much I had to put it down.)

Ron Miscavige’s book has a new title and a publication date. What was originally announced as “If He Dies, He Dies” has been renamed “Ruthless: Scientology, My Son David Miscavige, and Me,” and St. Martin’s Press is publishing it on May 3.

Wow, we’re really looking forward to this one. In the book, Ron describes how his son David Miscavige, who had been a happy and funny child, became the ruthless and tyrannical leader of the Church of Scientology, surrounded by sycophants and living lavishly while others in the church toil in relative poverty.

What caused that transformation? The power he assumed on becoming leader of the church, Ron concludes in a book that will describe how he ultimately made his own escape from Scientology after serving it for decades.

Ron’s co-writer is Dan Koon, a former high-ranking technical expert in Scientology who has been behind several of the books written by former church members. With Koon’s help, Ron writes about the parts of Scientology that he still considers beneficial, despite his son’s dictatorial takeover of it. We have a feeling some of the readers here at the Bunker will find that part of the book less savory. But we think there will be plenty of other delicious morsels to please the book’s audience.

The original title referred to an incident in 2013 involving two private investigators who had been hired to stalk Ron in his Wisconsin town. Ron had escaped from Scientology’s International Base in 2012, and the private investigators admitted in police interviews that they had been hired by David Miscavige to follow his father. At one point while they were surveilling him, Ron fumbled with a smartphone in his shirt pocket and clutched at his chest. From their vantage point, the two private eyes got the impression that Ron was having a heart attack. They told police that when they called their handler for instructions, David Miscavige came on the line and told them to do nothing. “If he dies, he dies,” Miscavige reportedly said.

[From The Underground Bunker]

How cold do you have to be to want to let your own father die of a heart attack while your goons watch? Of course most people wonder what kind of dirt Ron has on his son’s very close relationship with Tom Cruise, but I don’t care too much about that. I think we already know that they’re both abusive SOBs who use slave labor and even torture people. Cruise is complicit in all that or at the very least knows about it and ignores it, we’ve heard that for years. To me that’s a bigger story than their bromance or regular romance or whatever they have going on.

Anyone think that Lainey’s blind yesterday was about Tom Cruise and David Miscavige?

    • Lama Bean says:

You mean the Two Men one?
I took that to be Charlie Sheen and Bradley Cooper.

Or are you talking about another?

      • Jenns says:

The first one I think could be Crusie and Miscavige.

The second I think is Bradley Cooper.

      • Sarah(too) says:

The first one seemed to be Cruise and Beckham to me. The comment about “getting sporty together.” The second one – Bradley Cooper.

      • Lizzie McGuire says:

McConaughey & Armstrong? I thought the first one was Cruise/Beckham (I hope it’s not since I really like Beckham) & the second one B.Cooper & that pretty male model that’s everywhere, blanking on the name right now.

Edit: reading the blind item comments some people think the first one might be Cristiano Ronaldo & Enrique Iglesias. Thoughts?

      • bokchoi says:

i thought maybe the sporty pair was McConaughey/Armstrong

    • Liv says:

What? One of them is Bradley Cooper, isn’t he? I’d say the second one is someone younger, not Cruise…

    • MrsBPitt says:

      what was the blind???

    • celine says:

I bet it’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Enrique Iglesias. Bradley Cooper with the Irina Shayk connection.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I don’t think the first one could be Cruise. She wrote several things that implied guy #1 is very young, and that’s why he’d be great for guy#2. I’m thinking Efron and Cooper.

      • It says:

        YASSS!

First one could be Bear Grylls & Zac Efron

        Second one definitely B. Coop

        Escandalo!!

    • Aarika says:

The second man is definitely Bradley Cooper, Lainey has given plenty of hints about his appetite for very young men over the years.

The first one is trickier, some good guesses I’ve seen: Tom Cruise and David Beckam, Tom Cruise and David Miscavige, Mathew M and Lance Armstrong, Ben and Matt, Ben and Tom Brady(GAH!) and those Cristiano Ronaldo and Enrique guesses make sense due to the Irina connection although I didn’t even know that he and Enrique were friends.

  2. embertine says:

Yeah, it bothers me a LOT that the big scandal is supposed to be that they might be doing teh ghey together, not that they harass, torture, abuse and possibly even murder vulnerable people.

    • Mia4s says:

It’s also disturbing that given Cruise’s history of who he sues he seems to think being gay would be a worse scandal than being seen as complicit in the cult’s human rights abuses. How messed up is that thinking??

Cruise will never be truly happy because all he has is being movie star. It’s why he works constantly on action blockbusters. It’s all that matters to him and yet he’ll never be the biggest or the best again. I’d feel bad for him…if he ever atoned for his involvement in this awful cult.

      • Goldie says:

Or perhaps he doesn’t sue over the claims that he’s complicit in the cult’s human rights abuses, because he knows that it’s true, and he doesn’t want to publicly open up that can of worms.

      • Mia4s says:

True. But the fact that he doesn’t even threaten to sue? Wow.

      • frivolity says:

Cruise is a legit psychopath. Speaking of Lainey (above) … Yesterday she mentioned how Cruise has no problem watching himself in rushes/dailies while many other actors do. Yet another sign of his psychopathy – no feelings of quilt, shame, etc. He is not uncomfortable looking at himself, in fact, he relishes it.
I’ve run into Cruise in person and to me, he gave off strong gay vibes. But if he really is a psychopath, he’ll go either way – whichever is most expedient to him.

      • Dinah says:

Frivolty: You’ve nailed it. A psychopath/sociopath/antisocial has no true sexuality at all because they are encapable of loving another person. They use and dispose at whim and will (always their will). I’ve always thought Tom and David, or David or Tom, are far more likely to get off on watching unsuspecting victims secretly taped urinating and defecating than having sexual intercourse with anyone. It’s the element of torture that really starts them up. I can see it. Totally see it. Totally now wanting to desperately unsee it.

    • Jen43 says:

I don’t think they are doing the ghey thing together. I think Miscavige is very homophobic and knows Tom is in the closet. They pretty much hinted at that in the Going Clear documentary.

      • Velvet, Crushed says:

Umm… I think what you are suggesting is perfectly possible, but for many, among whom I include myself, the Cruise-Musciavidge relationships smacks of two homophobes with at least some repressed homosexual instincts, invested in one another in all the ways their narcissistic vacuum can permit.

  3. sara says:

I hope this shuts down that evil cult. I doubt it, but I hope so.

  4. MsGoblin says:

    Be safe, Ron Miscavige.

    • Chrissy says:

Yes, I hope he hires some bodyguards and maybe lives in a hotel for a while. His son’s reach is very long and God knows what he’ll do to Ron when this book starts getting more attention.

      • AmyB says:

Agreed. When high-ranking people leave that organization, and then speak about it, they are harassed, followed, ridiculed — it’s frightening! Alex Gibney spoke about it in Going Clear; truly horrifying!

    • milietan says:

I think the best thing he can do for a while is exactly what Katie Holmes did: Court the paparazzi and do everything in full view of the public eye. Being surrounded by witnesses is the only thing that’s going to keep those goons at bay.

    • Dinah says:

And to think he’s the very one who introduced his fourth child to the “religion” and shortly thereafter David was miraculously cured from childhood asthma.

  5. Lama Bean says:

Ooohhhhh this is going to be good! I do agree, however, that he had better watch his back.

Side note:WTF is up with Tom’s face?

    • Lara K says:

      Yes! The face!

      He looks like a jack-‘o-lantern!

    • Mia4s says:

The fillers in his face haven’t settled yet in that photo. He’s a 50+ year old man desperate to keep playing roles that should really be played by 35 year olds…or 25 year olds. It’s only going to get worse.

    • Betti says:

ITA – he’s morphing into Liberace before our eyes.

      • Pinky says:

You are right. It’s Liberace. Swollen, red, glassy, shredded.

Man, Tom’s face hurts. It hurts him, it hurts me mentally, physically. Just, ouch!

        -TheRealPinky

    • isabelle says:

Oh yeah definitely ordering the book. Little Napoleon deserves to go down in flames.

  6. Carol says:

Oh Christmas has come early this year. I’ll be first in line to get Ron’s book. I haven’t read “The Unbreakable Miss Lovely” because it just sounds so disturbing but I’ve read Janet Reitman’s book and the Going Clear book and Miscavige just sounds like a demon.

  7. Jwoolman says:

Hope we don’t see that picture on milk cartons….

  8. aims says:

This cult scares the crap out of me. I don’t know how they’re still able to operate. David sounds like a psychopath. I don’t know anyone who would think that joining this cult would be a good idea.

    • JenYfromTheBlok says:

DM is more of a sociopath- he recruits followers with a rigid dogma that creates an us and them (subversive person) cult. These charismatic people build up their minions and tear them down when the “minions” try to leave and or question the dogma. I believe cults should just be illegal, full stop.

  9. CharlotteCharlotte says:

This is why I feel it a public service to remind people, on any and every soft-ball TC story, that he is an awful person. He might know how to play nice with fans and peers, but he’s complicit in the worst of human rights violations.

I would love to see DM and TC go down.

  10. Allie May says:

Thanks for posting this. I bought Leah Remini’s book and it was good. I will definitely be buying this book. It is unbelievable what these people are able to get away with.

  11. Lara K says:

I really wonder what it will take to bring down the cult. My guess is as long a David Miscavige is around, it will keep going.
I wonder if Tom Cruise will ever have a moment when he realizes what he has done with his life, basically selling his integrity and his child for this “church”. Probably not, but one can dream.

    • Belle Epoch says:

And Siri. I’m not at all sure he is the biological father, but still – he was her father figure for years and he was happy to use her in photographs. Now nothing. That is some sick stuff right there – cutting off your child to make a cult happy. Will he regret it when he dies?

He always looks like he has a blood pressure problem. He’s straining so hard to look SUPER HAPPY and SUPER GLAD TO BE THERE! It’s so uncomfortable. It isn’t normal to be SMILING ALL THE TIME at 150% for the cameras.

    • isabelle says:

Depends on how abusive it is and controlling. Most controlling cults eventually disintegrate or do themselves in, the people revolt…but cults where there is little violence, members are the same economically, treated more “nicely” less invasive, can last for a longtime. CO$ isn’t the later. For a so called religion it hasn’t been around very long and its already imploding.

  12. LAK says:

    Where is Shelley?

    • aims says:

      Good question.

    • Jaded says:

She’s probably being held in a high security, super-secret CO$ compound near Lake Arrowhead in the mountains above Los Angeles. It’s headquarters for the Church of Spiritual Technology. L. Ron Hubbard’s works are stored there so they can survive a nuclear holocaust.

    • isabelle says:

Didn’t she make an appearance to the LAPD and they said she was OK recently? They probably brought her up from the dungeon.

      • Lurker says:

I heard that the cop assigned to investigate Leah’s missing persons report on Shelley is a Scientologist. Anyone know if that was true?

  13. Sayrah says:

Who’s in the pic with Oprah?

    • AmyB says:

That is David Miscavige’s niece who broke away from Scientology a couple years ago and wrote a horrible account of her experience — being forced into Scientology as a young child and was forced to be separated from her parents. Leah Remini’s account was similar in describing working long hours, required manual labor, punishments, etc. Horrid, horrid stuff.

    • Jenns says:

      OMG. That is not Oprah!

      • Wiffie says:

I had to scroll up. I thought it was Oprah too. I was looking at the girl and only saw the hair in my periphery.

    • Renee says:

      That’s not Oprah.

    • Naya says:

Thats Sherri Shephard of the View with Jenna Miscavige promoting her tell all book about the cult.

  14. AmyB says:

After watching HBO’s Going Clear, reading Tony Ortega’s book and Leah Remini’s Troublemaker, I am horrified at all things Scientology. Seems when people finally break away from this cult, they all unanimously have horrible/abusive things to say about the experience, particularly about David Miscavige. I look forward to reading his fathers’ account and hope this organization finally is forced to shut down. Cruise (and the other celebrities that endorse this abominable cult) should be ashamed of themselves!!

    • holly hobby says:

Don’t forget to add Janet Reitman and Lawrence Wright’s book to your list. The Going Clear doc is based on Wright’s book.

Yes I’ve read them all and the stories are pretty consistent. I’m currently reading Leah Remini’s book. It looks like she was more open minded than some of the goons in that cult – she remained friends with people who defected from the cult.

      • AmyB says:

Yes I want to read Wright’s book too and I will definitely check out Ron Miscavige’s book when it is released. I follow Tony Ortega’s blog and also Mike Rinder’s blog (he was in Going Clear and was one of David’s top guys for years). It’s pretty telling when all these people have consistent stories about the abuse/horrors of Scientology. I applaud anyone that escapes and then has the courage to talk about it. Celebrities like Leah Remini and Paul Haggis are a bit more protected b/c they are so much more visible, but I give kudos to them as well for telling their stories! This cult needs to be shut down permanently.

  15. paolanqar says:

I always wonder how Tom Cruise can still find work as an actor. Or how co-stars can hang around him without feeling the urge to run away.
I wouldn’t want to be in the same room as Tom Cruise let alone having to kiss him for the camera or pretend that I am not disgusted by his presence.
I always thought he was gay and that he is an extremely fake, pretentious and smarmy a-hole..
I just wish Nicole or Katie would spill the beans.

    • Jaded says:

Nicole and Katie can’t spill the beans, they’d be sued because they signed confidentiality agreements when their marriages to TC ended. Furthermore, both went through extensive auditing during their time with CO$ and those audit tapes, containing a TON of very personal information, would be released.

      • paolanqar says:

I’m sure the public would be more that understanding if those tapes were leaked.

      • AmyB says:

Yes and if they were released, it would so obviously show Scientology’s blackmailing techniques!

    • Jen43 says:

CO$ is very strong in Hollywood. It seems like they can ‘give’ you a career or at least give you opportunities within the industry.

      • holly hobby says:

Well according to Leah Remini’s book that’s a myth. One that $ci likes to tell to entrap new followers. They aren’t any powerful than the next person in Hollywood.

      • M.A.F. says:

I’m not sure how people buy into that. Cruise is the exception. Everyone else, that I am aware of, that is in the Church do not have very successful careers or at least not long lasting ones.

    • Jaded says:

@paolanqar – the public is fickle and Nicole and Katie would be humiliated and raked over the coals. They would also be sued for breaking their confidentiality agreements and end up in a lengthy and public litigation. And they don’t care about the public, they are actors and they only care about their carefully contrived and controlled images.

    • CF98 says:

I don’t think Katie has anything to hide compared to Nicole anyways. I mean she did get custody of Suri after all.

I think she wouldn’t say anything publically about Tom regardless she rarely talks about her exes to begin with why start now? Plus there’s Suri to consider we may want to know the dirt but that doesn’t mean Suri needs her family business for public consumption.

  16. Ashley Wilkes says:

I tried to buy Leah Remini’s book here in Canada and you cannot buy it. The C0$ will sue anyone who sells it up here. I’ll have to buy it on eBay. I’d like to read Leah’s book and also Ron’s, big-time.

    • Squiggles says:

Wow. I so didn’t know that. I just checked out the usual suspects and all I could find was the Instaread summary. Nothing else.

I did check and it does look like you can order from Amazon.com and have it shipped to Canada. But didn’t go through the process so there is a chance they say near the end it doesn’t work.

      • Ashley Wilkes says:

Yes, tried to get it at Coles here in Ontario. No luck. That’s when the salesgirl told me that anyone who sold it would be sued. C0$ becoming very Gestappo!!!! I will get my copy from eBay. I doubt our libraries would have it but I can certainly ask. They have Jenna Miscavige’s book 😉

    • holly hobby says:

I borrowed Leah’s book from the library. When it first came out there was a long waiting list over a few books. I wouldn’t be surprised if the $ci nuts borrowed them and never returned them. Anyway I borrowed it after the hubbub was over and I didn’t have a problem getting it.

Her book was also sold in bulk at Costco.

    • Kate says:

I listened to it on audible. Seriously a great book. She reads it and I think it adds so much because you can hear here angst over all the church put her through in her reading.

  17. kay says:

Wow, it’s incredible how many people in the entertainment business are directly or indirectly linked to this crappy cult in some way or another. See Michael Shannon comments about so many people he knows are into it. It’s also amazing how some of them, or maybe many of them, try and keep it secret, because being a member could hurt their careers. One of them that I didn’t know is Ben Foster. I’ve read a post about him in one of those anti-Scientology blogs that suggested that maybe one of the reasons Robin Wright broke up with him was the pressure of Danny Masterson and his clique of Scilons. There was also some BI about it, I think. It’s scary how manipulating they are.

    • Birdie says:

Ben Foster is a Scientologist? Too bad.

      • Borgqueen says:

OMG I was disappointed to hear about Ben Foster. Apparently his COS friends broke up him and Robin. I thought they were great together.

      • kay says:

apparently he’s one of those who like to keep it a secret. But what I read is disturbing and a quick google search revealed he’s close friends with a bunch of them, and suspiciously he stopped hanging out with them while dating Robin, and now he’s back to them. Also out of curiosity I found out that that girl he’s hooking up with right now is close friends with Masterson, the Helwneins, Ben Schulman…creepy! Now I’m convinced that it had something to do with their break up. It’s all in that post on the anti-scientology blog.

  18. Lizzie McGuire says:

David has always been horrible, & I can’t believe the government hasn’t taken the time to take Scientology down. Makes you wonder what they have on the government

  19. Therese says:

I am shocked at Tom’s face. I look at it in horror and shock. The puffed out cheeks from fillers, that make one’s eyes more narrow, as well as botox. This puffy, squinty-eyed face of someone that used to be so good looking, and actually still would be if he had left his face alone. I was going to say, how could someone with good sense do that? But I’ve never been able to understand how Tom could embrace Scientology. I don’t care if they did help him with his dyslexia. The alien thing is just beyond reason, and for anyone to accept that is not on an even keel. I am shocked and saddened and horrified. At all the actors that would still be good looking. I had a friend say once that being good looking and being older were not mutually exclusive. Not to be philosophical, but I wonder if one is driven to make one’s outsides match one’s insides. i’m sure it’s just vanity, and fear. And people say things like the work on his face will settle, but great scott!! he looks dreadful right now. So sad. A fat face is not necessarily a youthful face. Just looking at his face, he looks like he’s put on weight and gone to fat, when he is really a fit man. So stupid.

  20. aenflex says:

LRH was just as devious, insane and disgusting as Miscavige.

    • Emily C. says:

      L. Ron Hubbard was one of the most evil people to ever live. The whole “Miscavige is worse” myth is just that, a myth. Miscavige is only following in his hero’s footsteps. I really liked that “Going Clear” rammed this point home.

  21. kri says:

I don’t know if you guys have read anything about L.Ron Hubbard, but let me tell you…he has all of the characteristics of a true sociopath. I know that word gets thrown around alot, but I think he truly fits. And I am afraid that Miscavige is even worse. I say it every time. $cientology is a dangerous cult. The abuses are horrific, and they steal everything they can take. I believe it is truly evil. I hope that Miscavige Sr. has been careful and had a plan a la Katie Holmes. These people are sick and dangerous. Oh, and P.S. check out who Hubbard hung around with before he invented his con and what that group of weirdos got up to.

    • isabelle says:

Him being violent and hitting people, think he more of a Psychopath with Narcissistic disorder as well. He is about as charming as a toad, Sociopaths tend to be charming but not violent. Agree though, he has some personality disorders going on for sure.

  22. AnotherDirtyMartini says:

I CANNOT wait to read this one! Personally, I think the Scientologists have gotten a hold of Richard Simmons. Save Richard! 😫

  23. Juluho says:

I may be late to the game on Tom Cruise’s face but when did he do that? It’s so bizarre looking! Why do people keep doing this to themselves?

  24. Deeanna says:

The photos of Tom Cruise with the horrible looking “face job” are from about 4-6 weeks ago when he appeared at the British equivalent to the Oscars, called the BAFTRA awards. (I may have the initials wrong.) Apparently many in the audience were shocked at his appearance. Some reports described his face to be “tomato red” in color in addition to the obvious swelling. Several of the gossip magazines have featured the photos along with opinions by noted plastic surgeons. They seemed to agree that Tom had some sort of a bad reaction to something. Opinions ran from him having had dermabrasion to a chemical peel to whatever other god-awful procedures people go through in their quest to “look young”.

For years now Cruise has willingly positioned himself as the poster boy for the evil cult masquerading as a religion called Scientology. Anyone who has read even a few of the many books published by former members comes to the realization that members become delusional at best and psychotic at worst.

The Church of Scientology by its basic beliefs is homophobic. Their founder, and “Source” of all things Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard has been proven and documented to be a con man, a bigamist, and a pathological liar. He invented college degrees for himself. For years he claimed numerous U.S. Navy medals to which he was not entitled – let alone those he claimed that did not even exist. He denied both his second wife and the daughter they had together. It was Hubbard’s rabid dislike of psychiatrists who were critical of his 1950 opus “Dianetics” that led to the cult’s denial of both psychiatry and psychotropic medications.

In my opinion, Tom Cruise is not an innocent dupe in all of this. He is and has been in a privileged enough position to know what the score is about Scientology. And, no, I do not believe that Scientology “cured” him of dyslexia. The “study tech” that Scientology uses would NOT be of benefit to someone who has a true diagnosis of dyslexia. (Spoken as a family member of a person who has a true and accurate diagnosis of dyslexia and who is very familiar with the specialized instructional techniques used to successfully educate a dyslexic.)

Tom Cruise is an aging Hollywood joke nowadays. And he’s no Jack Reacher either….

    • Ashley Wilkes says:

Well put. Add to that, LRH was a wife-beater, too. And I read the unauthorized bio on Tom Cruise. A former girlfriend denied that he ever had dyslexia. She didn’t buy it either. I think it’s bullroar myself, just another way to sell this abusive cult.

    • Marie says:

Also, one of the reasons Hubbard was paranoid about psychiatry was that throughout his life and career, he was evaluated as mentally ill and referred to psychiatrists. He refused to accept these diagnoses and self medicated with lots of pills and alcohol. He was frequently delusional and often violent. If there was ever anyone who was in desperate need for psychiatry, it was Hubbard. Dianetics and it’s auditing process is psychotherapy dressed up as a religion. That’s why so many ignorant people who stumble into it, like Laura Prepon, gush about it glowingly and about how it really freed them emotionally and mentally. Yes, Laura, that’s what is good about psychotherapy.

  25. Sarah01 says:

Any cult / religion / belief system that seperates you from family, does not treat all its members equally and prevents you from being who you are is a crock. It’s all a money making scheme for the ” family idiot” as Sherlock put it.
Any teachings that bring people together through love and understanding is worth believing in.

  26. Goodnight says:

Pretty much everyone who handled Tom in scientology and did audits and knew him well says he’s actually straight. I’d be inclined to believe them, especially the people who did the auditing.

    • Emily C. says:

I think, when anyone’s been this deep in a cult for long enough, their sexuality can no longer be defined in normal terms. This is a cult that viciously attacked a young woman (emotionally) because her husband confessed to masturbating.

You hang out with a group of people with totally vile attitudes about sex for long enough, your sexuality becomes as twisted as the group itself. Whatever normal human sexuality Cruise might have had without the cult — straight, gay, bi, asexual, whatever — he doesn’t have it now.

    • Marie says:

Scientologists are rabid homophobes. They consider homosexuality to be a disease. Tom Cruise was brought into Scientology by his wife Mimi Rogers, at the request of Miscavige at the first big moment of his stardom. He was considered a big “get” for Scientology and was immediately treated like royalty and was expedited through the cult’s levels quickly to the top leadership role. Anyone assigned to handle him was predisposed to be brainwashed to believe he was a powerful being with special status. I doubt the idea he could be gay would ever enter their minds. It would be considered unbelievable (i.e. Because gay people are unnatural and diseased they can’t possibly be as handsome, talented, successful as Tom Cruise.Tom Cruise could never be gay.) Remember many Scientologists are extremely ignorant and uneducated and unworldly. So the idea that someone who grew up and spent most of their time in a cult that only teaches them about Dianetics would know anything about diagnosing someones’ sexual preferences is laughable.
Most Scientologists can barely read and write. There is a reason why Willow and Jaden Smith are laughingstocks on Twitter and why Isabella Cruise could only get a “degree” from a beauty school.

David graciously showed Mimi the door and encouraged Tom to find “love” with the far more suitable Nicole Kidman. That’s the thanks Mimi supposedly got from her church leader after bringing to him his most sacred cow to milk and bilk.

@Dinah: But Mimi already was a scientologist…why would Miscavige think that Kidman , the’ free spirit’ from Australia, was more suitable?

  27. Dinah says:

Hi Siri: It was due to Mimi’s age (she was about 8 years older than Tom). Also, DM was impressed with Nicole’s youthful “star potential.” He recognized she had the It factor to match Tom’s It factor. DM is a shrewd, cunning man. I’ve heard he does extensive research on anyone who intrigues him long enough to be thoroughly researched by him. Then it’s on to the next moth, the next flame. Also, Mimi’s dad was a member of LRH’s old guard (high ranking, too). He gave him the old heave-ho, too, around the same time he encouraged Tom to move on to Nicole.

Honestly, Tom is over; Career- stalled and sputtering, “The hill” for acting in younger man movies; His own daughter because he is so warped by his religion (priest to master), His ex Katie- wife of his only biological child and the smartest for leaving when she did and how she did, and Fans- we can’t stomach any more of his self-centeredness.
