People were going crazy for Nicole Kidman’s Alexander McQueen gown last night on Twitter and on E!. I thought it moved very well, meaning it looked great in motion, on camera. But in photos… it seems sort of flat, right? Don’t get me wrong, I love this version of Kidman, mostly because I absolutely loathed the frilly/lacy style she was doing several years back. It felt like every other red carpet, Kidman was wearing something that looked like a doily. This is bold and interesting and the cape is fabulous. But… I don’t know, I still think she could do better. Also, the way the bust of the dress has been cut, you can really tell that she’s got implants.

Kerry Washington was one of the biggest disappointments of the night as far as I’m concerned. She wore this absolutely tragic Marc Jacobs and dyed her hair reddish/pinkish. The whole look is NOT GOOD. But at least she confirmed that yes, she is pregnant. Something I’ve known for weeks!
Maria Sharapova made her first major red carpet appearance since testing positive for a banned substance. I don’t know… I kind of think it’s a bad idea to come to the Met Gala when you have a cloud of scandal over your head? She wore this Juan Carlos Obando and it felt like most people ignored her. As they should. And whoever is responsible for the seam down the front is probably doping too.

I loved Nicole’s dress. And it looks like she’s stopped messing with her lips, which is a good thing.
I think she and Charlize Theron have the same plastic surgeon. They’re looking very similar these days. She looks really good here though… glad she’s toned down the injections.

considering that part of the theme was manual craftsmanship, I was actually surprised how rarely ladies wore lace. Kerry seems to be one of the very few.

Loved nicoles dress it was amazing. Kerry looked bad those gloves are awful so is the dress. Didnt think you could your hair while your expecting she shouldnt have botheref its as bad as the dress.
Do you mean coloured her hair because most colours are perfectly safe for pregnant women (if not sure about a specific brand, check with your colourist). Agree though she shouldn’t have bothered, it looks awful.

I love how Keith Urban always seems to into her – on red carpets he’s always looking at her like he’s super proud and thinks she looks amazing. It’s so lovely to see, and such a contrast to some couples who look really serious and like they can’t stand each other!

I work in a retirement village where one of the residents was at an intimate dinner party with Nicole and Keith. The gentleman was saying that Keith was one of the most sincerely charming people he has ever met, when he wasn’t chatting with the other guests (there were only 6 people there), he was by Nicole’s side with his arm around her waist. The gentleman said Keith just adored Nicole.
I don’t know if Kerry’s dress goes with the theme but she looks very rock’n’roll, which I like.

Kerry needs a reinvention or something. Her style has been blah, that Confirmation movie came and went, and there seem to be about five people left who care about Scandal. She’s lost a lot of heat and I really think that’s a shame.
Scandal has gotten so awful, the longer she stays associated with the show, the harder it may be for her to land decent roles in other projects. Too bad, because the show used to be great, and now it’s a shambles.

To me, Nicole’s dress has an Art Deco vibe, an era very much about new machines and modernism at the time. I think she was my fave of the night.

See I don’t think Kerry looks bad, a bit goth but I think she still looks beautiful. But really she would look beautiful in anything. I guess I could do without the gloves but I’m loving her hair. I like that she tried something different.
I love Nicole Kidman’s whole look. Gorgeous. Her face looks better than it has in a long time. She looks less stretched, shiny and puffy lipped, much more natural. Her hair and makeup are just right.
