Here are some photos of Blac Chyna out to lunch with friends in Miami a few days ago. As you can see, she’s wearing a pretty simple jumpsuit and flats and she’s obviously showing these days. I think Chyna/Angela Kardashian just has one of those body types that “show” very quickly, like Kim Kardashian and Jessica Simpson. Short, curvy women are never going to carry their pregnancies like Gisele Bundchen, you know? But that doesn’t stop people from freaking out online and on social media. After these photos came online, people were criticizing Chyna’s pregnant body, because the internet is a cesspool of body shaming. So Chyna had something to say:
“To all you people out here with negative comments and insecure words (obviously because you have nothing else to do but criticize the next) I AM HAVING A BABY! Exactly what do you expect to see?! If I walked out in makeup and heels everyday to be beautiful to your means I WOULD BE MISERABLE AND UNHAPPY which are two vibes I refuse to transfer to my little one. If I comment on y’all pics and go in on them tired ass weaves or unblended ass contours I’ll be wrong right? It’ll be tragic! So stop playing & Put Some Respeck on my name.”
I’m including the Instagram comment below. I mean… she’s not wrong. Even when people were totally over Jessica Simpson’s back-to-back pregnancies and when everyone was laughing at Kim Kardashian’s pregnant figure, I defended those celebrity women. How tacky is it to pick on a pregnant woman? Of course their bodies are changing. Of course short, curvy women are going to carry differently than a tall model. So, if you want to talk sh-t about Chyna, do it about something other than her body.

I agree, don’t body shame her for being pregnant. Style shame her for wearing that god awful thing at any time, pregnant or not. And please, put on a bra. Her girls are about to fall out.
What is it with this site and bras? Bras hurt some people’s backs, and are totally unnecessary. If Chyna wants, she’ll wear a bra, but guess she doesn’t want to.
They’re not unnecessary but I will only champion bra usage for formal events or professional settings. Going out to lunch with your friends? Eh, do whatever you like. Yeah you can see some boob there but they don’t look like they’re actually going to pop out.
They’re unnecessary for some people. You don’t get to decide if someone else needs a bra.
THANK YOU phonetics!!!! A bunch of commenters here seem to have a giant blind spot regarding bra wearing!!!! Would they go on an article about Ashley Graham and say it would look better if she wore a waist cincher? Jeez 🙁
Get a grip. I don’t care if women wear bras. But women with large breasts who wear tiny tops, spilling out all over the place, look sloppy. She is free not to wear a bra or a tank top under that outfit. Just as I am free to think she looks trashy. I have large breasts. I am all for showing them off in an appropriate setting. Going to lunch with them hanging around my waist is not the appropriate setting.
Thank YOU, drnotknowitall. I, too, am…uh…blessed with giant boobs, and no one is seeing me bra-less except my significant other. It is NOT a good look — in a skimpy top or a baggy tee. They look and feel better when they’re being properly supported.
@ DRKNOWITALL +1000 yesssssss!
Also, there are multiple comments of people calling them ‘girls’ – why is that a thing?
I’m not sure, but the words boobs and breasts and t!ts usually get censored so this was to refer to them in another way. Maybe someone else has an answer better than this.
I have always called mine “girls” because well, they are my girls. Don’t know why.
I called mine the fraternal twins; one is larger than the other *shrugs* 😉
I agree drknowitall, that jumpsuit is the worst! It’s soooooooo ugly and unflattering. She’s rich! She could wear the nicest, comfiest, taylor-made maternity clothes and she puts on that?
Yes that’s right, I’m putting the b*&^% in Celebitchy HAHAHAHA I am pleased that she is wearing comfortable shoes though!
Exactly! Don’t wear something that God-awful and then say “Don’t body shame me, I’m pregnant!” If you weren’t pregnant, people would still talk about that horrific style choice.
Maybe she’s comfortable with what she’s wearing. Shaming her clothes is no different than shaming her body. Leave her alone.
Naw, bad style is the only thing is plebes can jank in peace. I don’t talk about women’s bodies, especially pregnant ones, but I can talk shit if you have bad styling, pregnant or not.
This is a bad outfit, but it looks like a lazy, loungy day for her, so who cares. Kim’s were epically bad tho lmao. She tried wayyyy to hard to be sexy-pregnant.
None of us wear the right bras to begin with. I had myself measured by one of those pros, in the correct bra, my back was straight, posture better n breasts no popping squeezing out…they says
I suspect I’m the only one who likes her tie dye jumpsuit and sneaker combo. I would totally wear it but I love tie dye and comfort so I’m sure my personal style would be slightly offensive for most people on this comment thread. Thankfully, I go to art school where students are far more wildly dressed than me.
I think she looks great!
Me too. It’s cliche but total pregnancy pass. Comfort trumps all.
However in the same breath, I’m going to say how appalled I am by her poor grammar, verbiage and syntax. I know on SM a lot of people write as they speak – I have a problem with that as well.
But hey, stretchy pants and no bra? More power to you.
Ditto on the mispelled words and poor grammar. Fat shammers?????
She does not come from a very educated background. So she gets a pass from me for at least pulling herself up by her boob straps, if not her boot straps. Education is not a luxury everyone can afford.
I’m not a fan of hers, but she’s right. The woman is making a human right now. She should be left alone.
I’m not going to body shame her for being pregnant but that hair….um..yeah
This is way too PC for my sanity. I don’t care if she is pregnant or not. I don’t body shame women. But I am more than happy to express my opinion when someone who makes their living selling pictures of themselves looking trashy, well, looking trashy.
She wants me to look at her selfies all the time, then she is going to get my opinion. Feminism is not about being bullied to silence an opinion negative to another woman. Feminism is realizing that women have many opinions about a lot of topics and they are just as free to express those opinions as men are.
And IMHO, she looks like she collided with a zebra. Then again, most of her clothes look like she collided with something, so par for the course.
+1000 love that she said, “If I walked out in makeup and heels everyday to be beautiful to your means I WOULD BE MISERABLE AND UNHAPPY which are two vibes I refuse to transfer to my little one.”
When you have a lot of fake parts on your body, it tends to look “off” when pregnant. I’d never hate on her for weight gain, it’s hard being pregnant! I gained 70 lbs with my daughter. But just like Kim her body looks very unusual when pregnant because of all the fake parts and plastic bits. I also can’t believe how fast she went from not showing at all to showing… A lot! It seemed like overnight!
I agree, you can tell the weight-gain is very unnatural. It’s because our bodies can grow and shrink fat cells to a large degree rather than produce more of them. So when you unnaturally, repeatedly suck the fat cells out of your stomach and thighs and then move them to your bum and hips to create the ‘perfect’ hour-glass look….things are going to go awry once you start gaining weight. Because suddenly you’re going to grow in some areas and less in others, way more than your body naturally would have because you relocated the cells and now their expanding. It truly makes for an odd look.
It’s tough because, is pointing it out body-shaming? Probably. But at the same time, it also shows young women that “Hey, see how they aren’t gaining weight normally? It’s because those perfect hour-glass figures were artificially made. The image isn’t really. Don’t feel bad about yourself if you also don’t naturally have the “perfect” figure.”
It would be my hope that this would make those procedures maybe dip in popularity a bit. I find it so sad that it used to be you had to be stick thing but get surgery for implants….now you have to have a tiny waist, surgically enhanced breasts AND fat transfer so that your hips and bum have the right amount of curve. Where will it end????
Maybe one day a plastic surgeon will perfect the perfect, most realistic sex doll, and all women will be required to get their brains surgically removed and put into the sex doll so that we can finally look how society wants us too.
Hey! New novel idea! hahaha
If you’re going to pick on Chyna, just focus on her horrible personal style.
Right? I don’t care what her body looks like but that outfit is FUG. And it would be fug if she was 6 feet tall and 120 lbs.
+1. she has the same god-awful style as Kim.
Honestly, even though her outfits are usually ugly as hell she almost always looks comfortable. Like she could wear her clothes all day and not pass out from lack of circulation (ahem, Kim) or have to change immediately once the pictures have been taken (ahem, Kim)
Since I’m a comfort and function over fashion dresser, I have to applaud her for that. So she wears ugly jumpsuits and sneakers. So what? I much prefer that to Kim’s stuffed sausage routine. If you’re going to look bad, at least be happy about it and Kim never looks happy in her clothes.
@wren +100000 and I like Angelia k
I can’t tell if it’s just the outfit but she looks like she has a short waist which means that baby has no where to go but out. I imagine she gets really uncomfortable at the end.
Doesn’t help that her girls are practically down to her waist. If she had a good bra on, it may look different.
She looks fine but could do with some wrangling of the girls.
I’m so sick of people picking at other peoples’ bodies. It’s ridiculous. And honestly, the ones that do it would CRUMBLE if it happened to them. The ones that are the loudest seem to be the ones that are too afraid to post photos of themselves on social media, and that says a lot right there.
Honestly- I couldn’t care less about what this woman wears.
Pregnancy ESPECIALLY should be a time when comfort trumps all else. Fashion police, and bra police be damned – if she’s comfortable good for her. Nobody is forced to look at her.
I agree 100%! Criticizing a woman’s body during pregnancy is just rude and unacceptable.
Criticizing a woman’s body at all, ever, is completely unacceptable. Even if she’s not pregnant. I don’t like this mentality of “oh no, she’s pregnant so she’s not fair game, leave her alone” because that just reinforces the idea that women are supposed to look a certain way, and unless you’re in the “safety zone” it’s acceptable for others to tear you apart.
I’m with you Wren! Body shaming is just not my thing, especially as a recovered anorexic….I just refuse to do it to anyone! I get this is a gossip site, but body shaming doesn’t lead anywhere good!
Agreed, Erinn. This site is full of smart and witty commenters–we can do better.
Yeah. I don’t like any body-shaming, but it’s especially bothersome when the target is either a woman who is pregnant/recently had a baby, or when the target is a child/teenager.
The loudest critics on IG are always the ones with the private profiles.
There will always be those out there that will body shame. As long as your doctor is not concerned, then you shouldn’t be concerned.
HA! I adore this QUEEN!
and this article pretty much impeccably speaks as to why me and my gfs are super here for her https://www.buzzfeed.com/sylviaobell/karma-kardashian?utm_term=.fuqje6X2A#.vhORYP4dr
I actually read that whole thing, and sat here grinning while I did so.
I have a giant soft spot for Chyna. Say what you will about her, but seeing her in photos with Rob – they both look incredibly happy. So you know what, good!
And if it annoys PMK, all the better.
THIS!!! Long live Angela Kardashian 😀
wasn’t it kinda well researched and presented… and Delicious??
Just finished reading the whole thing myself. Amazing article QQ, thank you for sharing. Kinda gross as hell to see all of the true twisted f*cked-up-ness of this entire saga laid out, but I definitely have to respect the hell out of Chyna’s drive and hustle.
I kinda love her cause she owns her sh!t and she refused to be ashes or be ashamed over something she didn’t do here, and then she moved on in a petty fashion
The more I learn about Angela, the more I like her….
One big difference between Angela and the Kardashian Klan: she actually got some very relevant education to prepare for running her own business. What a concept. The K’s seem to think they can just waltz in and everything will magically fall into place, even when instead they magically fall on their faces. It’s apparently never occurred to Khloe that she should take a few courses to learn about how to do tv or radio hosting jobs, for example. She fails because she’s ignorant.
The scene described between Khloe and Kim was bizarre. I often disagree with my brother’s choices, but I would never treat him like they do. What fools – they think he’s “disloyal” because he’s living his own life. Loyalty has nothing to do with it, other than the height of disloyalty is to talk about your brother that way on tv.
Hey, thanks for the great read. Go Chyna!
Thank you, informative and great read
YES I read this yesterday SUCH a great article about why people support her.
Thanks for sharing that article! I didn’t know much about Blac Chyna and now I’m totally rooting for her. If anything, I think she will go further than the Kardashian women because she and Amber Rose have come this far without relying on their mother’s social & business connections.
I think she looks super cute, actually. People are crazy.
Stop criticizing pregnant bodies! Now, can we discuss her poor writing skills?
I don’t know why she even bothers slapping back. The firestorm isn’t going to stop until PMK accepts her.
Her body is fine. There is nothing wrong with her body.
Her CLOTHES are atrocious, but if she’s comfortable, whatever. I’m pregnant, and believe me, when I get far enough of along that I’m actually showing (as opposed to looking like I ate a large hamburger, French fries, and drank a milkshake, which is how my belly looks right now, thank you Kid Number 2), I will wear whatever is comfortable to me, fashion be damned.
So it that a braided wig? Because she doesn’t bleach her natural hair. Why bother…just braid your own hair. It would look better anyway because the braids wouldn’t look so ratty.
Kylie does the same thing, must’ve learnt it from her.
I agree with Erinn. Leave the girl alone. Whether she wears a bra or not is her decision, and no, I don’t believe people have the right to “style shame” her since it’s very clearly about a woman’s right to control her own body and cover it as she pleases. I was once walking without a bra many years ago and a male cat caller from an establishment (maybe a bar?) called out the door, “Put a bra on that chick.” That was so humiliating. Would ANYONE ever tell a man what to wear or not? That’s off limits, but women are always open-season (for men and women alike). Why criticize a pregnant woman at all on her clothes? It’s just mean and men NEVER get the carping and criticism women do. I happen to think Chyna is extremely cute and I am sure a much nicer person than any of the Kardashian women. How about being supportive of a pregnant woman or just STFU if you have nothing nice to say? This just galls me.
I have massive boobs so I have to wear a bra or I can’t run or dance without discomfort. That said I would totally go without bra if I could. Once or twice in my early twenties I did the whole sheer shirt without a bra as a fashion statement when I was dancing but my friends were feminists and totally ready to tell cat callers to f**k off if they rude.
I really don’t get this obsession with bra wearing? I think it’s a part of the conservative backlash that’s happening at the moment. Plus, comfy bras are expensive and hard to find so like I can understand women choosing to go without them. Like it’s fun to critique other people’s style for sure but I’m not comfortable saying women should wear bras, shape wear, waist cinchers, corsets etc…
I would look like that in the same outfit and my baby was born five months ago! Seriously, people online have some strong opinions about women’s pregnant bodies and it’s pretty weird. Not all pregnancies are created equal.
If you’re short, have big boobs, wide hips and a short waist, you’re going to look like a beach ball when pregnant. I don’t know why it surprises people when people like Jessica Simpson or Kim K don’t carry like a 6ft model or a tiny waif like woman. Have they never seen a short, curvy pregnant woman in real life? Because seriously, all these women make it look good. I would’ve killed to look like Kim K or Jess Simpson at nine months. Instead I just looked like a morbidly obese manatee, whiskers and all.
This. So many times. And what the hell was with the whiskers???? That’s why there are no pictures of me after 6 months with either of my pregnancies.
If anyone wants to say anything, say it about that jumpsuit. It’s just ugly, pregnant or not.
I agree with the sentiments, it’s F-ed up to body shame people (yes, even the ones who bought their parts). But I find it highly hypocritical that people are jumping to say “oh, she’s so right… let’s not body shame her” when they rip into Kim on the regular.
Lord, I’m petite and when I was pregnant, I had a hump back! My daughter was so far up into my chest/rib cage, even the back of me was a disaster. I remember asking my OB if I would ever be normal again! 😂
So, no shade on her body from me…maybe her relationship choices, but not her body. 😛
Respect is earned, honey… Not given!
Does anyone think she really wants to be left alone though? She and the rest of her reality show ilk thrive on attention. That’s how they make bank. They manufacture drama and perpetuate it and, hey look at this, WE’RE ALL TALKING ABOUT IT. This helps with sponsorships and all that. I would very much doubt she is hurt by anyone giving her a hard time about her body, pregnant or not.
I agree. That goes with the territory of being a professional fame-wh*re. It gives her some press.
I love the internet for many reasons but at the same time it brings out THE WORST in people. Before social media, I honestly had no idea people could be this vile. On another note I love the Birdman reference: put some RESPECK on my name! LOL
It’s hilarious to me that people comment on others looks. Ya know!? It’s like so many things can go into how you look. Pregnancy, mental health, etc. People are so brutal. Yet most of the people making comments aren’t good looking/thin/stylish themselves. There are so many other things that are so much more important then the way we look.
Her booty is still fake though. I’m going to have to disagree with people here. People will hate regardless, she look fake, fake t**ts fake ass, fake everything. She even bleaching her skin it seems. So I think its more than fair to criticize her for all of that. And now that she is pregnant she looks bigger than she should because of all of that silicones.
I couldn’t care less about her body, its not mine. But I get why people make fun of her, same thing with Kim K.
Also people on instragram are like 16. At 16 you make fun of everything. Its not that serious. Still making fun of women for being bigger while pregnant is not funny.
I don’t see anything wrong with her figure, but, dear god, what has that woman done to her face? I assume that isn’t natural?
Oh please. Blac Chyna is a total mess and there’s four hundred things we could be reading her for just in that picture. The way she happens to look like when pregnant is not one of them.
RESPECK.
Story time! When I was pregnant the first time I was HUGE I gained so much water weight! It was awful, I was so big that I had to be on bed rest because my baby was huge. My first baby was 10 pounds and three weeks early I had another baby 11 months later but no one noticed in was pregnant cause I didn’t have time to lose my first baby weight!
I find it kind of hilarious that I see people whining about her grammar or “respect” without in any way form or shape understanding the LEGENDARY, Nay ICONIC interview that Begets ” Put Some Respeck on My Name” is gonna be a rethread of every time POC have a FUBU joke/situation/term and outsiders neither understand nor get a context but have opinions and offense to Take LOL #BeckyTakeTwo
Right?! I’m a white chick with an appreciation for good grammar, but I just assumed there was some connotation I was missing here. She’s never seemed stupid to me, you know? Anyway, can you link the interview? I’m curious now…
Unable to link as I am on mobile but go to youtube and search for Birdman and The Big Breakfast. Its about 2 mins long.
Background; Birdman owns the label that signed Lil Wayne and by extension Nicki Minaj and Drake. They are trying to severe the contracts because they think he has stolen from them or atleast from Lil Wayne. Birdman therefore gets trashed a lot on hiphop radio shows including The Big Breakfast. So anyway, he agreed to an interview but walked into the recording area with a dozen intimidating types and proceeded to scold the hosts over their disrespect. The words “put some respeck on my name” were said, they instantly became the subject of a thousand “respeck” memes. After two minutes of ranting, Birdman walked out of the interview but his respeck meme endures forever.
It clearly is not iconic if so many people have never heard of it.
I understand the proper use of a comma in a sentence. She did not demonstrate any such knowledge in the bits about pregnancy, heels, make-up, vibes or contours.
I didn’t know about the “Put Some Respeck on My Name” context but she’s writing a caption for social media and who actually always uses perfect grammar and spelling on social media? I don’t. I think bitching about spelling and grammar is just people do when they don’t actually have any valid criticisms to make. Like to me it’s just a boring criticism to make. English is a living language so it’s speakers will use it in a variety of ways and not all of those ways will be reflective of middle class norms.
What she is wearing is criminal in its ugliness.
God help me, but I like her. I was snort-laughing at “unblended ass contour”.
I like Blac Chyna too, but… her moded are wrong and you can see and tell, she’s being real petty and I hate to say this, but… this will blow up in her face, nothing good is coming out of this, God bless her child.
Kardashian ninja burn Zen master goddessness aside, she still gets a preggo pass from me. I can only hope she writes a book. Get it, girrrrrl.
…can we still laugh at her hair, name, and life choices?
Of all the things she needs to be criticized for, what she looks like pregnant isn’t one of them. Jesus.
“I AM HAVING A BABY! Exactly what do you expect to see?! If I walked out in makeup and heels everyday … I WOULD BE MISERABLE AND UNHAPPY”
Kim Kardashian? This is wisdom; listen to your sister-in-law-to-be. Don’t shrinkwrap yourself into couture and wear stack heels when you’re pregnant.
