I forgot that this was on the royal agenda this weekend. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge traveled to Belgium on Sunday, where they marked the centenary anniversary of the World War I Battle of Passchendaele, which is where 54,000 British soldiers gave their lives on Belgian soil. William and Kate went to The Menin Gate to pay their respects – the Menin Gate is “covered with the names of over 54,000 British dead who have no known grave, according to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Two hundred descendants whose ancestors are named on the Gate were also in attendance.” William gave a speech too.
For the ceremony, Kate repeated an Alexander McQueen coatdress. This ivory coatdress was worn to Princess Charlotte’s christening in 2015. I liked it a lot then, and I actually wondered why Kate had not repeated it, especially when she’s spending thousands of dollars on other white coatdresses that look a lot like it. She paired the repeated coat with Balenciaga faux-pearl earrings, a John Lock & Company “plate” headpiece/hat and Gianvito Rossi heels.
William and Kate were joined at the ceremony by Belgium’s King Philippe and Queen Mathilde. Mathilde wore a pleasant shade of blue-grey and a delicate lace “coat.” I was going to say something about Kate not wearing a more somber color, but I’ll leave it. Other people were wearing lighter colors, and some women wore white and black. It does feel like this repeated McQueen would have been more at home at a garden party or a trip to Ascot. I still think Kate dresses to “stand out” during somber, mournful occasions, but hey… at least she didn’t wear hot pink or floral this time.

I actually like this outfit. Seems appropriate.
Love the coast dress, but I just can’t with that hat. It reminds me of a bedpan.
Bedpan is pretty tame. I always think of the “sponge-worthy” episode of Seinfeld.
I was thinking it looked like a toilet seat with weeds growing on it, but bed pan describes it better lol
And I think if she turned it upside down it would make a good bowl for Lupo’s kibble.
I was thinking satellite dish. Also, wish she’d gone with a muted color. But yeah, at least it wasn’t hot pink.
You were going to mention? Oh but you did…haha good one.
I liked the coat more from a distance…up close the tailoring looks a little sketchy.
I don’t get appropriate. For what? The Emperor of Japan’s funeral?
And for goodness sake, when are the Europeans and Brits ever going to acknowledge America’s contribution and heavy losses of this European war? It was NOT our war, and President Wilson and Congress were determined to keep us out. Alas, we had to win it with enormous loss of life, much more than any other country, per day, since we entered it April 1917. Hundreds of thousands gone. Americans saved the day, and what do we get? We don’t expect anything, since we are Americans.
Also, she wore her hair back! Baby steps…
As for a sombre colour, Prince Charles is there wearing a summer suit. I kid you not. My mum is appalled. It looks terrible. What goes through their minds? oh I know, I will wear THIS. Its not like they have anything else to decide or do.
Disrespectful and embarrassing. Skint for brains the lot of them.
I’ve been to the ceremony. Tourists were respectfully standing quietly wearing shorts and t-shirts.
It’s the manner of the respect not the clothing.
Kate gets a wardrobe furnished for these events and is there representing a government so she has to meet higher standards than a tourist.
If Charles is wearing a summer suit then what Kate is wearing is totally fine. Charles dresses beautifully and is always appropriate.
I think today is a rare misfire for Charles. He looks rumpled and not put together.
@bluhare-maybe all the Diana rehash is getting to him . . .
I think Charles looked rumpled and like he was on a summer holiday in his pale suit. And he usually dresses so well.
A summer suit? You mean one in seersucker or something?
I think the color of the outfit is too bright = totally inappropriate for such an sombre occasion. And I’ve seen pics where she and Queen Mathilde smiled a lot. Not appropriate, imo of course.
When I watched the ceremony marking a year after the terrorist attacks at the Brussels airport, most of the ministers while smiling and looking happy to see each other. Two of them noticed they were on camera and immediately got super-composed.
None of them knows any better.
Oops wrong place! ☺️
I like it. And in some cultures, white is a color of mourning.
Okay, I think I just made up that last bit.
It is, actually – in South Asian cultures (some not all), you wear white to funerals (and never to your own wedding!).
Kate isn’t Buddhist or South Asian. She also isn’t going to a memorial that remembers either of those cultures so I don’t think Kate is referencing them. She probably heard the criticisms of her bright or summery themed clothing at the 9-11 and Holocaust memorials and decided on a neutral color. Always baby steps with this dimwitted clothes horse.
White is a colour of mourning in my culture but not the shade of white she wore. It had too much ecru.
No you did not make it up, white is a “mourning” color for Buddhists. Not that much of mourning, but celebrating the deceased next life through reincarnation.
The last bit is true. Only red is universally frowned upon (no mention of hot pink though) as a color for those in mourning. It would make more sense if she was from a culture that commonly wore white or if we had reason to believe she knew about it at all.
She followed this white coat dress with a fussy top that fights for attention with the poppy with ANOTHER white floral coat dress with a fussy top to visit a cemetery. This woman…
But white is not the mourning color of her culture or the host’s.
So what is more likely: She just wants to wear white? Or she is appropriating another culture to show respect that most of her subjects and the host won’t immediately associate with mourning?
Errr, I’d go with either
a) She is clueless/careless
b) She knew others would be wearing lack/grey/blues in keeping with western culture, and wanted to stand out.
Frankly, I don’t know which is worse and more insulting.
I don’t think Kate is as deep a thinker or as educated on mourning garments as the posters here. I just don’t see her putting that much time and thought into the meaning of her clothing.
My best case scenario is Kate heard bright pink coats or flowery dresses aren’t appropriate. She received a lot of criticism online for both her 9-11 memorial and concentration camp tour clothing. Worst case she wanted to wear this color and at her next sombre occasion will will another bright color or flowery, garden party dress.
Received criticism “online” being the key word here. I doubt anyone else cares.
Actually (and I have no idea if Kate knows this – probably not) white was the Medieval mourning color for queens. http://orderofsplendor.blogspot.com/2012/03/flashback-friday-white-wardrobe.html
You didn’t. I believe white is the color of mourning in many Muslim societies. I don’t think this was inappropriate – it was tasteful and given the fact that we’re talking about an event that took place a century ago, I think black would have been too much.
I don’t know about the shade, but I thought white was a traditional mourning color of royals.
@Connell – yes it is as I mentioned abovethread. And it is a traditional choice for European (not Asian or Middle Eastern) royalty as well. So she is not “appropriating” any other tradition.
Nope, black is the colour of mourning for aristos and monarchs.
Monarchs have the privilege to wear white when meeting the Pope whereas us common folks MUST wear black / dark colour.
Btw. Kate is no monarch.
No you’re not wrong about that especially here in Asia. Some cultures the Chinese if I’m not mistaken wears white for a year
Kate isn’t Muslim, Buddhist or south Asian so she didn’t wear white for that reason, but simply to get attention. She should have had an assistant ask the Belgian assistants what colours they were wearing.
Theresa May knew what to wear. She isn’t there decorating her poppy or wearing bright summer attire.
As I mentioned earlier in the thread, white IS a traditional color for mourning among European royalty. This is a fact – Queen Elizabeth (the Queen Mother) wore white during her visit to France in 1938, when she was in mourning for her mother, the Countess of Strathmore.
If the Queen of the Belgians isn’t wearing white herself at a ceremony in her country, it isn’t up to Kate to wear white, especially as she isn’t specifically mourning anyone, as the Queen Mother was that one time in 1938. And if all you have is that one example which occurred well before Kate’s parents were born, there is no way Kate was familiar with that one incident or that she was wearing white for a similar reason.
Also, Kate isn’t the queen consort and the BRF has not worn white as a mourning colours since that one time in 1938 that everyone is pulling out of google to defend her. Queen Elizabeth the current reigning queen since 1952 has not worn white as a mourning colour and Kate has to follow suit of what the current queen does.
I don’t think the royals color-coordinate as much as we might think. I remember reading that Margaret Thatcher once asked the Queen what color she planned to wear to something so that she (MT) could dress appropriately. HM said something withering about not noticing MT’s attire.
And as far as requesting info from Queen Mathilda goes, I don’t think this generation of British royals want to communicate much with any other branch of royals.
@Nic919 – just pointing out that there is precedent for using white as a mourning color in European history – since everyone was pulling out Asian, Muslim etc. traditions. However,. this was NOT a mourning event – it was a commemorative event. The white is not party-like, the dress is quiet and demure. I can’t see the great problem here.
White is NOT a colour for mourning for monarchs. Black it is in Europe.
Monarchs have the priviledge to wear white when meeting the Pope whereas us common folks must wear black.
Kate is dressed highly inappropriately and she both knows it and enjoys it.
Only Catholic Queens/Consorts are allowed to wear white. Queen Maxima is Catholic but does not have that privilege because she’s Consort in a Protestant Crown.
Queens Sofia and Letizia of Spain, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, Princess Charlene of Monaco, and Queens Paola and Mathilde of the Belgians have this privilege.
None of these people as far as we know are in mourning so it hardly matters and the colour is perfectly appropriate.
She really cares more about popping out in photos than being appropriate. She has 700 navy, grey, and black coats… all white is not appropriate for this event.
(The other lady in white is wearing a white jacket over a black dress with a black hat. So not all white and completely appropriate.)
If all she cares about is popping out why even have dresses in all those colours you mentioned?
She has occasions she has to wear black too and she doesn’t need to really pop when she’s the only Royal. They’ll photograph her alone.
Most of her black coats come from royal events where everyone must wear black and the Queen is present.
She has zero style. Access to some of the loveliest clothes/accessories in the world, a fairly nice figure, but nooooo idea how to select/style occasion appropriate outfits.
You know how Rihanna elevates basically anything she wears? Waity has the exact opposite effect.
I agree. I was on the Daily Fail this morning reading an article about Diana’s style through the years. While she definitely wore dresses at the beginning that were more poufy and pastel-and looked more current as the years went on and she gained confidence-she always looked radiant and pulled together. Her jewelry and accessories were always on point.
It’s okay, it’s monotone and plain and okay for a ceremony such as this one.
KM needs to learn from other royals and listen when to wear appropriate colours for such heart wrenching global occassion. This is more than a grin and wave dress up.
Its also insincere for such a person to be present in such status of representing a bation, who is and her family are entitled- couldnt careless about the less fortunate much less the suffering from wars servive to mankind (have never shown interest in potential King Henry’s Invictus Games), and more than ever is forced ordered to perform duties to a country that fund her lifestyle. She is nit tbe wife of someone who decide to run for ofgice. Such status from birth demands a better partner as royalty – such as Queen Maxima, Leticia, CP Mary , who appreciates their position.
I don’t like the choice of colour for the outfit. That was a mourning event. Did she wear the same outfit in the occasion of the christening of Charlotte? From celebrating a positive rite of passage to commemorating loss of lives? She should have worn a more sombre colour.
Plus I cannot erase from my mind her grins from all the pics I’ve seen on dm and ig. She gets nervous, still after 6 years of marriage, officially in the spotlight. Not all outings are joyful social events.
Spot on !
I don’t think it was a mourning event as a funeral. It was a commemoration and honoring of those who died. Kate is dressed conservatively; no florals or sandals and I really don’t know what the problem is. Other than her hat. I actually have three great uncles who died there, one of whom is on that wall, and I’m not offended.
She wore this color to DDay commemorations as well if I remember correctly?
She also wore that dress last year ar the trooping of the colour, on the palace balcony, holding Charlotte who also wore white. So, three times wearing the same dress is good. All in all she looks ok, but she had aged a bit. Queen Mathilde has aged too but heck, she is 44, not 35.
I don’t understand the over-sized faux pearls. They’re tacky as hell.
something tells me they are not faux. can you imagine? I think they are so ugly.
I like freshwater, personally.
They’ve been ID’ed as balenciaga, and they are faux.
Diana cos-play?
+1
This is himanity changing sacrifice – her grins wave and dress up or repeats means NOTHING to her small entitled selfish brain compare to these young people and families – who GAVE Life ans Limb so she/we can live free (and lazy and entitled!).
Goid to see substance – Sir Timothy and the dedicated workhorse hardworking geniune POW.
Did she really need to wear a brooch with her poppy? For some reason that is really grating on me.
It is more than grating it is inappropriate. When wearing a poppy you are not supposed to wear anything else with it and it must be worn on the left side. Any country where they have Remembrance Day and wear poppies, this is repeated over and over again by the Legion in order to properly respect the sacrifice of the veterans. It is actually disrespectful to wear those silly silver balls to decorate the poppy. I know that poppies may not be common in the US, but every child and adult in the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand would be well aware of how a poppy should be worn because they are worn every year around November 11th.
As a representative of the BRF, where their whole raison d’etre is to attend events like this, Kate has no excuse to be this dim.
Over-sized faux-looking pearl earrings: Kate’s idea of upper-class style.
She looks like some tacky office creature whose performance is sorely lacking which is why she is trying to make it up with faux style.
I like this coat – she has so many white coat dresses or just dresses, or at least it feels that way by this point – but I think this one is my favorite. I like the neckline and collar.
Hate the hat.
Ooh she just can’t NOT be the centre of attention. DARK clothing should be used here for respect and remembering such a scene of death and destruction. Pathetic woman, feeling she has to compete with dead young boys for the limelight…
Especially the first day as Pm May and Qn Mathlide.
This is probably one of her more appropriate outfits she’s worn for a memorial. White would be a half-mourning colour historically. Plus her hair is back and she looks professional. Plus the white coat is nicely cut. If you compare it to the last coat she wore to a WW1 memorial where she was pictured with queen Mathilde, this is much more professional. The previous one had a Peter Pan collar that made her look like a teenager hanging out with the dignitaries (until you looked up close)
William seems to be locked into a perpetually tense, resentful expression. Resting bitch face indeed.
+1
Whiny Willnot! Why drag me out to this -‘ i am THE prInce of Idle! and useless!’
I finally watched The Crown on Netflix and in one episode the Queen is explaining that she always has to smile otherwise people think she looks cross. Apparently William inherited resting cross face.
Personally I think she looks nice and appropriate. In case you’re wondering, I still don’t fancy both of them.
I like William and Kate much more than Charles and Camilla. I cannot forget how they treated Diana. I think Charles should be skipped, and William made king.
William allegedly hasn’t treated or respected Kate well either. The BRF is human, flawed and allegedly calculating but Charles and Camilla have proven their work ethic thus far. So I think Charles would make a good King, even though I’m not an advocate for royalty.
William is so great he left his kids and wife for Easter to go to an ex girlfriend ‘s wedding. What kind of dedicated husband and father does that? William isn’t any different than his father. The only difference is that Kate is putting up with his behaviour like she did when he cheated on her constantly during the dating decade. Diana wasn’t willing to put up with cheating and hence why it came out.
@Alexandria Wow so you think as long as charles has a work ethic everything is good😢😢😢. I pray to god you don’t have a daughter, or a granddaughter that need some advice from you because their f##k. “No IT’S NOT OKAY” #do better
We don’t judge people by the way they conduct their romantic life unless children or animals are involved. If that were the standard the majority of the population would be unemployed.
It’s fact that Charles and Camilla have proven themselves in their professional capacity which speaks well to their turn as the top couple.
William and Kate lie to get out of events, are bored when they show up and would rather vacation than work.
William has gone as far as sanctioning an article calling working parents bad people for working.
Plus he wasn’t exactly a faithful boyfriend so not much different from his father, only Kate put up with it and Diana didn’t.
And if it’s a question of morality vis a vis the church, they haven’t a leg to stand on since they were created to facilitate the divorce of a King, and didn’t say boo when the divorced George 1 sat on the throne.
It’s only a handful of monarchs who’ve been faithful in terms of their wives.
The rest managed to do the job with multiple ladies in tow, and the institution didn’t fall down.
@ lak four children were involved neither one care, diana was 18 when she got with charles wasn’t she a child herself ? I know at 18 i wasn’t and adult far from it. Do you really believe William would do the same things his disgusting father did to his mother?
Apple, you’re really reaching on what I’ve said. Good doesn’t mean saintlike behaviour here. Being a competent King doesn’t mean Charles is / was a good father or husband. Even I think he and Camilla were horrid to Diana, and it was a terrible experience for the boys. Their work ethic can never dismiss what they did. Just as some people felt Clinton’s sexcapades were inappropriate, there are also some who agreed but also felt his infidelities would not affect his Presidential tasks. Anyway, it’s ok you don’t have to pray for my imaginary offsprings.
@Alexandria When did Clinton ever abuse monica Lewinsky? Oh if am not mistaken i remember the part about Hillary, helping bill torture a young inexperienced child. “Sarcasm”So because charles, has a work ethic that will make him a good king? Charles is the same creature who made a mockery out of his marriage, in the eyes of god and millions around the world. so if charles couldn’t honored his marriage what make you think he can honer the british people. And no i’ am not named calling charles, i just can’t say he’s a “man” a real man wouldn’t never abuse a child. serial killers also have too different sides nice good husband/father and killer at night. charles always wanted a daughter instead of boy could you imagine what type of problems she’s have if charles had a daughter people think harry and william are cry babies. I never meant to attack you personally i’ am sorry, i just get so mad a what diana, went through that could’ve been my mother, aunt ,sister daughter.
Diana was 20 yrs old when she married Charles, 19 when she became engaged. She was likely naive but hardly a child, Apple. Monica Lewinsky was 21 when she started her internship in June. She turned 22 in late July and by Nov she had been drawn into ongoing sexual liaison with the (married) US President. Monica wasn’t a child either but there was a huge power difference between the positions of White House intern and President (in many ways much more than between a prince and the family of an earl) So what Clinton did was an “abuse of power” IMO. Neither Clinton or Charles deserves a medal for their personal behavior. But to call what Charles did to Diana “child” abuse because she was 19 when they got engaged? Isn’t that quite a stretch?
@lizabeth Keywords 19 “when they got engaged” they dated for a year or year and a half that would make diana 18,17 when she was his girlfriend 19 when she became his fiance. so she was a child When charles decided too abuse her. charles was trying to go after diana when she was 15,16 when he seen her at a bbq party? Charles went after diana like prey.
Sorry @Apple 9:40. All accounts I have read say Charles and Diana began dating in the summer of 1980. We all know they became engaged in Feb 1981 and married 5-6 months later in July 1981. You are correct Diana met Charles at 16 when he was dating her older sister. But so what? I agree she was naive (and troubled given her family background.) But that hardly makes Charles a “child abuser.” (I’m also not sure how strongly he pursued her. He was a reluctant groom as we all know.) Queen Elizabeth first met Philip when she was 13. Are we going to call him a child abuser too? And what about all those “ordinary” long-married folks who first met when the woman was the younger sister of a friend of the future groom’s? Are all men who marry women they met when the woman was under 18 child abusers? Or are they abusers only if the marriage fails? Charles is alot of things but he’s hardly shown himself to be drawn to inappropriate relationships with children. Child abuse is too serious to assign the label of “child abuser” lightly.
On the other hand, Clinton–a married man– clearly abused the power of his political offices (governor and later president) to acquire women for sex as Lewinsky was not the first. He is hardly the only man to do that. People can argue whether that made him unfit for office but most agree it was despicable personal behavior. Yet you seem to deny Bill engaged in any sort of abuse.
It’s ok Apple and it’s normal to be mad at them 🙂 I went through it, it wasn’t easy, even if you’re an adult child.
Kate’s sartorial escapades aside, I love Queen Mathilde’s shoes.
She defiantly dresses to stand out. In all the group pics you can spot her straight away. Everyone else is in dark muted colours while she’s in white.
I have to say I like this ensemble, and at least the shoes are grey rather than the nude heels. I love the hat. I think Queen Mathilde looks a bit overdressed, that looks more like a cocktail dress than a battle memorial outfit. She is very lovely, I think, and they look quite happily married.
The coat dress is way too bright and attention-grabbing for the occasion. Is that a brooch she’s got pinned on or part of the coat dress? In any case, it’s way too bright and trendy looking for the occasion.
It’s just kind of inexplicable to be so focused on grabbing the spotlight when you’re in her position. It would come to her anyway, no need to scream for it.
His expression is so resting bitch face, kind of funny.
She shouldn’t be wearing a brooch at all with the poppy. It is hugely disrespectful. This is basic etiquette that BRF members should know by now.
The poppy and what it stands for is enough. It doesn’t need “bling” added.
I like that she added the poppy to a broach. HM does it often, but the broach is of real diamonds rather than faux pearls.
That’s really reaching! Lol
Here is an article about it sourced from the Royal Canadian Legion, you know the men and women who died for us and actually know the etiquette.
http://globalnews.ca/news/1662538/the-dos-and-donts-of-wearing-a-remembrance-day-poppy/
It says not to wear anything in front of the poppy, even a Canadian flag. I guess Kate thinks she is above that then?
Wait, our PM came out of hiding and decided to some work? Your party is still plotting against you, May.
Surprisingly I think Kate actually looks appropriate while Mathilde looks a bit slinky and evening-y in satin and lace.
I agree with this. There is nothing wrong with the pale color Kate is wearing (for once) but Mathilde looks like she’s going to a cocktail party.
I’m so over the British royal family except for the queen who actually served the country in WWII in a way her grandkids could never understand or replicate because they’re too busy pretending to be middle class normals. Actually, all the royal families everywhere should go away. Anachronistic pablum.
But look how much fun we have talking about their clothes, BFs/GFs, etc. We’ll be reduced to entertainment stars and Trump.
What struck me is how Rebecca Deacon and Miguel Head are standing directly behind Kate and Will respectively – far in front of most of the other military high-ups and personnel. It’s as though these two can’t do anything without their support system alongside them, it makes them look so childish and self-protective. I can’t bear the way they talk to each other on these trips, it happens so often and seems a technique to keep to themselves, not to let anyone in. Compare to Harry who is so open, and other royals who couple up or who have staff in the background, not so front and centre. I suppose it’s all part of being “very well taken cared of”?
I don’t know that I like this outfit, but I do like that every element — hat, earrings, broach, dress, clutch, and shoes — is a repeat.
I read on another site that Kate should just shop her closet for a year. I agree.
Shoes are new.
While she does stand out (which is tacky IMO-one shouldn’t be drawing attention to themselves), I saw it as wearing white as representing the color of peace. White doves. White flag etc. I don’t think it’s a inappropriate color for the event on its face, but she had to have known no one else was going to be wearing a similar color.
I don’t like Mathilde’s outfit either. While the color seems okay-it’s to slinky and evening wear for this occasion.
Someone else was
Once asked what her fave colour was, Kate said, ‘white’. She didn’t say it’s because it’s a symbol, and she’s not that deep. She wears white because she loves it and because it makes her stand out at sombre occasions.
I can’t help but feel as though the fact that white is her favorite color is a fitting reflection of her personality. 😐
She looks beautiful! Stands out from others that’s for sure.
She was there to honour British and Commonwealth war dead, not to stand out in a crowd.
She can’t help it if she stands out. It’s not like she’s trying. The others pale in comparison.
I get what you’re saying, but the Queen dresses to stand out in a crowd too and no one complains about that. Kate’s the draw here, whether we like it or not.
She wasn’t the only one wearing a very light outfit. And it was certainly more appropriate than that lacy outfit worn by Matilde which looked as if it belonged at a cocktail party.
At last year’s Somme event, she wore a black and beige dress that made her blend into the background so she has clearly decided to be more visible this year. Although I’m not mad about the outfit it is more appropriate than the bright pink coat at the twin towers memorial and the flowery dress at the concentration camp.
It takes a lot to be more frumpy than Kate but Mathilde managed it with her satin and lace combination. Yuk.
Any and everything the Duchess wears on official business is first approved by royal advisors and adheres to royal protocol. If they gave it a pass then it’s appropriate. And she looks great with the extra 5 pounds.
.
Do you have a link for that contention Bitsy? Other people have posted that idea but it’s hard to believe a full team of royal advisors said “go for it” when it came to sandals and red toenails at a concentration camp, a red coat in Canada with large buttons placed right on the nipple areas, skin-tight jeggings on various trips, full skirts on too many windy tarmacs, gaudy brooches worn with a memorial poppy, a heart shaped motif on the crotch area of a memorial event dress, and so on. If there is a team, is it the same team of advisors who wanted the expensive scaffolding needed for repairs at the Taj Mahal removed at India’s expense before Will and Kate were photographed there? Or is it the same team that approved Will’s speech from yesterday with its “Commonwealth” reference?
I love the ensemble on her.
That’s one hell of a grand look in the poppy pic!!!! And the guy with the long grey hair mm! What’s he thinking “that’s one grand look’,
I don’t mind the colour. The war was 100 years ago, the relatives that were present probably never even met the dead soldiers.
But I dislike the earrings – this size is meant for women who are considerably older. What does she intend to wear when she is 60? “Grandmother of the Bride”?
Kate shows her tacky classlessnes by wearing an all-white for a commemoration of death and war.
I am so disguested. Just look at the pic. Kate knows that she is the center of attention.
The drooping bun in its hair net is just tragic.
Someone has given her more of a lip line, has anyone noticed this other than me?
The hat is a nope. The cut of the dress is flattering but the color is just ok for the event. Not the worst but it could have been better. Kate should not take bold chances because she is not stylish or chic. For public occasions, she should simply wear tones that are safe. Very pale blue or gray would have been safe but also pale enough not to be drab.
