Here are some photos from last night’s premiere of Bad Moms Christmas, the sequel movie to the hit film (?) Bad Moms. As I said in a previous post, I recently watched Bad Moms and I wasn’t really into it, but whatever, at least women are getting some work in Hollywood. Anyway, here are some photos from last night’s LA premiere. The fact that the two stars – Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell – didn’t even bother to bring their husbands for the premiere probably doesn’t bode well. But, again, at least somebody is getting paid.
Mila Kunis wore this sparkly Cushnie et Ochs dress with Louboutin heels. I’m glad that no one on the red carpet did a Christmas theme with their outfits, and yet I feel like Mila is totally giving us a Christmas-party look here. It’s kind of cool – Christmas-y yet not, perfect for a holiday party but since it’s only late October, no one wants to think about Christmas yet.
Kristen Bell actually had my favorite look on the carpet – I love this Michael Kors dress on her specifically. It’s a very clean, simple and flattering look for her. She’s a small woman, and a big, flouncy dress would just overwhelm her. Much like Mila’s look, this feels like a great holiday-party dress too. Also: both Mila and Kristen are rocking the sh-t out of their blunt-cuts these days. I sort of wish I could get this haircut and it would look like this (spoiler: my hair would not do this).
I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t really get why Kathryn Hahn gets so much work. How???
Susan Sarandon is in the movie too. No comment on that, but WTF is this outfit? Of all Sarandon’s faults, we never discuss how she has terrible taste in blouses.

Kathryn Hahn is one of the best comedic actresses in the game right now. She elevates crappy material on the regular.
Agreed
Totally. I love her’!
Yeah, how you gonna say at least women are getting work and then say you don’t get why one specific women is getting ‘so much’ work?
THIS!!!!
#hypocrite
She’s hilarious, and can pull off drama as well. Not easy to do.
Yes 100% she gets so much work because she is at the top of her game in every single role she takes on. And even when the she’s the side kick with a small role / barely any lines she steals the scene from the lead. All she needs is more recognition.
This sums it up perfectly. She gets into character in the same way Melissa McCarthy does. She is amazing.
Came here to say the same thing, she’s in Judy Greer category: never the leading lady, but amazing and always a scene stealer!
Yes, I agree all around on your comment!
Agreed! Kathryn Hahn is INCREDIBLE!
Kathryn Hahn is awesome in everything! Someone’s gotta be the scene stealer, the sidekick, the comedic relief and she’s incredible at all that. Kinda weird for Kaiser to be knocking a woman for “getting so much work”, why shouldn’t she be? She’s found her perfect niche, let her play in it! This is why we can’t have nice things.
I honestly think Hahn is a total nothingburger. It wasn’t shade so much as confusion as to why people hire her when someone like Judy Greer exists.

If I see Hahn in something it makes me want to see it more. There is room for her and Greer. Why would it need to be one or the other?
@OG Cleo,
Perfect.
HONK for Kathryn Hahn. One of my favorites without question.
Kathryn is amazing and definitely an incentive to watch any project.
Poncho! (Parks & Rec fans know what I’m talking about)
@ Lucy And the turn when she says it. Without fail, gold standard.
So true. She’s amazing.
She is a perfect (and perfectly hilarious) character actress. One of the bet.
Susan Sarandon looks like she is auditioning for the role of The Penguin. :: sigh ::
I was going to say she’s rocking some Charlie Chaplin chic.
Those shoes are the shit, though. I would wear the hell out of them with a more fitted trouser and a fly, well tailored jacket with better fitting top (maybe a taupe or cream colored tank) and some super subtle jewelry so people would see me and be like, huh, her outfit is ni- THOSE SHOES!
Mila has really become a beautiful woman. I forget she was so young on That 70’s Show, but that’s always how I think she looks, like a kid. I love her dress.
They all look nice except Sarandon, too baggy.
I am not ashamed to admit I love the first one and looking forward to the second one
They keep playing it on cable and I watch it all the time.
All the ladies look lovely except Sarandon. I just watched the last RD episode and was amazed at how gorgeous she looks and then I see this picture
No shame here, I loved the first one and will watch this happily.
Love Mila Kunis’ dress! And Kathryn gets work because she is actually talented? Her like Judy Green have been working on the regular and are way underrated in my opinion.
Bahaha. You and I think alike. I wrote the same thing above before I saw this post! Great minds!
Everyone looks like they don’t want to be there but the younger women all look great.
I can’t with Susan but she still has a great figure so I don’t get why she’s wearing such an ill fitting outfit.
Why the Kathryn Hahn shade!? I think she’s great. I’m always happy when she shows up on screen.
LOVE Bell’s look.
Susan, don’t you have a secret society for destroying the Democratic Party meeting to attend?
The Fug Girls have a pic of Dax Shepherd with Bell at the premier…
Kathryn Hahn is amazing in the TV show Transparent. I think she’s hilarious and so talented.
Didn’t think the first movie was funny. I watched it because everyone I passed on airplanes seemed to be watching it on their laptops, so I figured it must be funny. I was so wrong. Why is there an embargo on reviews for their movie that starts tomorrow? That can’t be good news. The stars are doing lots of press. Why doesn’t anyone ask them why did 2 guys write and direct a film about moms? No wonder they are so bad. The films aren’t about moms. They are about how men think moms feel. Poor Kristen Bell has been in Chips, How to be a Latin Lover, and now this stinker this year. It’s a wonder she gets any work with those duds on her resume.
Agreed. I did not love the first Moms movie. Unfortunately, I did not found it barely funny. I do Love Kunis, Bell & Hahn. I love that all of these women get to work together. More great female driven movies. Hopefully, with better scripts next time.
They all look great except Susan. Good.
I am a Veronica Mars die hard fan. But the more I read about Kirsten Bell, her personality and marriage, the harder it is to like her. And it’s diminishing my Veronica Mars love. Le sigh!
Even if it’s not a popular opinion, I don’t like Hahn’ s acting. I agree with Kaiser on this one.
Love Mila’s look here, hate her husband.
Susan Sarandon should have borrowed one of the suits she wore on Ray Donovan this season.
~ Couldn’t agree more. I, too, love Veronica Mars, but Kristen Bell does too much press. She contradicts herself. (Did you see the interview where she said nothing about her husband annoys her? Yeah, that makes no sense since she said in another interview that they’ve been going to couple’s therapy since 3-months into their relationship.) Her relationship with her husband is (at best) weird and creepy. She also seems like a people collector. (Don’t know if you read Lainey, but she has talked about how awful KB is in person.) It (almost) diminishes my devotion to Veronica Mars.
~ I want to love Kathryn Hahn, but “I Love Dick” on Amazon is such a bore. If that’s what a production is like with her in the lead, she’ll never be more than a supporting player.
~ I dislike Mila’s husband so much there’s no way Mila can be a decent person. No one could be married to that guy and be normal.
You said everything I wanted to say, only more articulated :))
Right now there is a new E! story with quotes about her marriage to Dax Shepard. I can’t, I just can’t anymore!
Thanks for the heads-up on the E! story. Yeah, I’m with you. That was so awful. And KB’s newest instagram photo is about how rich and hot her husband is. She is just too try-hard and just all-around too much. Give it a rest, please.
Did you catch her on Kimmel last night? She will do anything to be the spotlight. I almost feel sorry for her unending need to be liked. Does she ever do an interview when she doesn’t talk about at least one of her “famous” friends? Name dropper and friend collector. Ugh.
She really is going to ruin the love I have for Veronica Mars. And I’ll hate her for that. (Is there a Veronica Mars fan club with a subsection for Kristen Bell haters?)
I loved the first film, thought it was hilarious! maybe it’s cause I’m a mom & related so much, and totally don’t get the Kathryn Hahn shade?? she is super funny!
