Terry Crews and his wife Rebecca King-Crews attended the GQ Men of the Year party last Thursday. They both looked amazing, especially Terry who wore this divine petal pink tuxedo jacket. Terry has just sued his abuser, agent Adam Venit, and the agency that employs him, William Morris Endeavor, for sexual harassment. Many people asked Terry about his lawsuit while walking the red carpet for the GQ party. To put his responses in context, Terry is still receiving these kinds of ridiculous comments on Twitter:
When you actually think that Terry Crews suing the man who sexually assaulted him is just a bit excessive… pic.twitter.com/ihXJpYt6RM

At the GQ function, Terry told reporters he is not pursing this lawsuit for revenge, he wants justice. He emphasized that if Venit or WME had done the right thing to begin with, he wouldn’t be suing them now. We all know Terry doesn’t need the money or fame, but he believes he needs to do this for those who don’t have the money to get justice for themselves.
Crews and his wife, Rebecca King-Crews, attended the GQ Men of the Year party on Thursday evening in Los Angeles and talked about the lawsuit in an exclusive interview with E! News.
“This is not about revenge, this is not about get back, but it’s just the fact that…I’m sorry and an apology is when you step on somebody’s toe by mistake,” Crews said. “But when you stab them, when you intentionally hurt them, when you run them over, apologies just don’t do. ‘I’m sorry, my bad’ does not work…people need to be held accountable.”
He continued, “And what’s happened is is people tend to hide behind the gigantic structures and powers that be and principalities and you’re standing behind their leg and hoping they protect you from your evil deeds.”
Crews went on to say that his lawsuit is really about saying “hey you cannot treat people like this.”
Terry told the LA Times that he told Ari Emmanuel that he was coming for WME if they didn’t do something commensurate with the crime. Terry told E! he was moved to action when he realized, “these guys don’t get it, they just don’t get it.” One interviewer wondered if some companies took action solely so they did not look bad and not because it was the right thing to do. Not only is this a valid observation, it supports Terry’s point that Venit’s month’s suspension was a token punishment to make WME seem like it was acting on the matter. But they haven’t been and if Terry Crews had not gone public, nothing would have happened at all. And it’s not just WME that needs to be sent a message, many agencies have been protecting their abusive agents for years.
Among the many great quotes Terry gave on the red-carpet, perhaps my favorite was, “I’m at the party because I know I didn’t do anything wrong.” I’m pretty sure I don’t need to say this but:

Love him so much
I loved Terry before, I love him more now for what he’s doing. Not because of exposure, because he’s doing the right thing.
It’s just such a foreign concept to these guys, apparently. That someone could be focused on justice instead of $$$.
I know that the interviewer on the red carpet is supposed to ask provacotive questions but I hate that he has to explain why he’s doing this. What his motivation and reasoning are. Are you effing kidding me?!?! He was sexually assaulted and humiliated for crying out loud. Maybe I’m the one being too sensitive. I don’t know. It just makes me feel defensive and icky.
He’s so well spoken. It’s so admirable how well he’s handling all of this. I really like him.
Kudos to Crews! Seriously, for no other crime are perpetrators allowed to just “feel bad about it”. If the guy didn’t want to be sued, he shouldn’t have assaulted anyone. The laws exist and following them is not vengeance, exploitation, or attention-seeking.
Go get em Terry…
Go, Terry!

Support for Terry and his family. His wife is gorgeous.

If Venit had grabbed a woman like this, well… never mind, the comments about wanting the PR would still be the same, wouldn’t they? But there would be less doubt that the victim can and should sue. So the double standard here is ridiculous.
NOBODY messes with President Camacho. Nobody.
I’m really appalled at how this has been handled. Good for him for not shutting up.
I think initially Adam Venit thought he could get away with it. I’m sure he’s done this before to other men but it’s difficult for any victims to come forward and more so for men. Crews is being dragged on social media for this. I’m appalled at WME’s response. A thirty day suspension? Really? That’s ridiculous. Venit should have been fired. There are others.
Good Crews should burn the whole place down with everyone complicit person in it (figuratively of course).
You go Terry. We got you
YES!!! (Figuratively)
Standing for Terry and his awesome bravery in the face of evil and idiocy.
This is a perfect example of why the Patriarchy is bad for both women and men – time to burn it to the ground!! (sorry I’m in a revolutionary mood these days)
I am too. Traditional avenues and structures to be crushed to the ground so we can start over. This whole year has been ridiculous, and nothing is being to change it on a significant level, so it is time to come up with a color scheme and outfits French Revolutionary style. As long as boots and a hat are involved, I am down with being fashionably radical. Lol
Jokes aside I understand your feelings.
Even if it were for revenge, what would be the problem with that?
Exactly. Regardless of the victim’s intentions, they’re still the victim, and the offender must be held accountable for their actions.
Because the victim can only want recompense for greed and they need to get over it. Terry made his statement, and Venit admitted to guilt. Unfortunately, WME doesn’t take this as seriously as they should so he has to do this. This situation is the male version of what 45 did to women. Terry isn’t even gay. Why I bring this up is because the Venit sexually harassed him knowing full well he isn’t attracted to men. It would be the same if a woman grabbed a woman who is heterosexual. Or if a woman did that to Tom Ford or a man did that Ellen D. It is another layer of disrespecting who someone is and not giving a crap.
I support Terry, he’s doing what is right and I hope Venit will have what he deserves coming.
I’m glad he’s suing and F*** Russell Simmons… for sending him that email telling Terry to give that perv a pass for sexual abuse.
Terry is right. “If Venit or WME had done the right thing to begin with, he wouldn’t be suing them now.”
Yes i agree wirh everything you said and F*ck Russell Simmons
I support you Terry!! Stay strong ❤
I believe you, Terry. Thank you for marshaling your strength and courage and for blazing a trail for other victims of assault to advocate for themselves, to do what it takes to heal, and to focus the attention where it belongs, on the scummy perpetrators.
Good for him. And I hope he wins.
His actions have made me feel more confident and secure in my own stance that anything else could. I can NOT believe he wasn’t included on that People of the Year nonsense. Asia Argento’s writing was profound, but when I saw Terry state publicly that he himself had been the victim of sexual assault, I just bawled. He is the definition of strong. He is the definition of “manly.” And even he was abused. He is reading these stories from women who keep saying “I felt powerless” and he is saying “Yeah, I absolutely know what that feels like – and it’s 100% NOT okay!” He is an absolute hero, just like Rose McGowan, just like Asia Argento, just like every other woman who stood up and said “DON’T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!” and I hope that he completely destroys this jackass who thinks it’s okay to walk around fondling people. I used to be the kind of person who would – out of fear – do nothing when confronted with this. Not anymore. If a person who commits assault is willing to bring violation to my door, I will escalate the fuck out of that in retribution. If you touch me, I will break your hands. If you rape me, I will dismember you. You do not matter anymore. You forfeited your rights to exist in peace if you commit such offenses against others. Terry Crews is rich, but I am not. I will use what weapons I have.
FYI he was included on Time’s Person of the Year, he is in the video.
Get’em Terry!
I support Terry completely and I hope WME gets what’s coming to them.
I am rooting for Terry and pray the lawsuit ends in his favor. Screw everybody saying suing is taking things too far, f*cking idiots have no idea what they’re talking about.
Love Terry! Nobody has the right to grope a female, or a male’s genitalia….not even stupid ass disgusting predator Trump. “Keep on making it do what it do”, Terry.
Before I magged the image, I thought the woman was Pink, lol!!!
Where are those glasses, now?
Go, Terry!!!
