Frozen eggs. Lots of think pieces about there’s a trend among wealthy women who look, feel and literally are healthier and physically younger than our ancestors at the same age, to have their eggs frozen. Women with careers who feel their motherhood possibilities can’t and shouldn’t be any lesser than their male counterparts…sometimes nature and biology really gets it wrong, or at least unfair, specially considering the life expectancy differences, is actually the male population who shouldn’t be allowed to keep procreating in older age

Initially I thought no, just a weird blocky dress, but there are pics of her a few weeks ago wearing a giant blocky coat as well. So now I’m wondering.
I sort of figured they’d have a baby years ago when they first got together and her son was young. But maybe it’s taken a while? Or she’s just gained some weight or is having health issues.
Yeah there were rumors that they wanted/were trying for a baby after they first got married but had no luck. Maybe it’s just taken awhile, as you said, or maybe since Daniel isn’t constantly away doing JB they’ve decided now’s the best time to have a baby.

It is the proportions of Weisz in those clothes due to the A-line cut of her coat. People aren’t used to such fashion proportions any more which is why it looks “odd” in our eyes. As well as people are used to seeing slim waistlines on the red carpet and they can’t deal with a woman like Weisz who doesn’t deliver her slim waistline for inspection by the common audience.
I have such a girl crush on Rachel Weisz and have had ever since that thriller she did with Keanu Reeves centuries ago (Chain Reaction?). Not a good movie but a mesmerizing Rachel. (And yes I’m that old). If she’s pregnant I’m thrilled for them but at her age probably not very likely. Still a midwife I had once told me her oldest patient was 47 and pregnant for the first time. Without help.
LOL! Yeah I had a doctor tell me a similar story. She always reminds patients over 40 that yes natural pregnancy is very difficult at that age…but “very difficult” does not equal “impossible”. As long as you still have a period you have to take precautions or risk an “oops”.
I agree unlikely, but at the same time they are more than wealthy enough to afford every kind of assistance/intervention if they wanted to try. I guess we will see.
Yep – my doctor said about 1/2 of her patients are “oops” pregnancies of women in their 40s.

(Her birth was well recorded, so there is no chance of a counting mistake.)

How many pregnancies get to full term at that age whether planned or not? I know from U.K. figures that age group has a higher number of terminations, more than teenagers (because women think they can’t get pregnant and stop taking birth control), a lot for health reasons.
She could be pregnant, but considering both hers and her husband’s age, it’s more likely that it’s the dress or weight gain.
Just because you concieve at 48 doesn’t mean you can take the pregnancy to term.

I would so hate to be in the public eye, and have people screaming pregnant! every time I wore a non-formfitting dress. Maybe she is, maybe she isn’t, not our business until she says so.
She’s 48 and possibly going through hormonal changes, so the pregnant talks might seem almost insulting. But not impossible. And if that’s the case anyway of course there must be some IVF/frozen eggs thingy involved.
Years ago (like 2996-2007) I was at a bar at the Oscars or something like that came on, and my friends and I were drunkenly watching the red carpet. Rachel came out and I was going on and on about how beautiful her body was, and how she wasn’t “model skinny” and she was an inspiration…and then the announcer mentioned that she was 8 months pregnant. 😂
