At the beginning of the Cannes Film Festival in mid-March, Page Six reported that people in Cannes were “buzzing” with the gossip that Diane Kruger was carefully hiding a baby bump underneath her glamorous sack dresses. Looking back at all of the photos of Diane throughout May, it did seem like she was deliberately choosing dresses with empire waists or dresses that were sacky or structured away from her midsection. Well, now Us Weekly confirms the news: Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus are expecting their first child together.

The happy news comes shortly after after Kruger, 41, appeared to be hiding her baby bump in oversized gowns at the Cannes Film Festival. According to Page Six, the German actress had also been seen abstaining from alcohol at events earlier this year.
Norman is actually already a father, to son Mingus Lucien Reedus, with Helena Christensen. Mingus is already 18 years old, OMG. So Norman is going to do all of this again with Diane. Norman is 49 years old, by the way, and Diane is 41. I mean… I don’t have a problem with Norman and Diane having a baby. My problem was when she cheated on Joshua Jackson with Norman, then she left Joshua for Norman and… whatever. Joshua seems to be fine, so I’m not going to fight the good fight on his behalf. I hope Norman and Diane are very happy and I hope Diane convinces Norman to wash his hair at some point before the baby is born.

It’s always strange to me when people leave ten-year long relationships, immediately hop into a new relationship, and get pregnant right away. Like, what about the Joshua Jackson relationship wasn’t working? It just makes me wonder.
I met Norman Reedus this weekend at a Sci-Fi convention. I didn’t go to meet him, I drove a friend there who loves The Walking Dead. As I stood next to her in line watching Norman sign an autograph, all I kept thinking was does this guy ever take a bath?!? I didn’t find him attractive at all. More power to Diane.
This! Norman was beyond hot and he was totally my type, I bet I would take a few seconds to stare at him if I meet his younger self, his face was beautiful. Unfortunately, his alcoholism ruined his appearance, still was attracted to him in Walking Dead season 1 and 2 (stopped watching after few episodes of season 3), Daryl and Michonne characters were the only reason I kept watching for so long, season 2 too much drama and not enough zombies.

Do you know that bit of romantic advice, “when he says he doesn’t want to get married, he just means not to you”? I think it’s the same with all genders, and it’s also the same with babies.
I’m not pro-marriage, or even pro-baby, but I did get married to a guy. And I got married to him FAST, soon after a veeeeery long relationship, and he married me after an equally long relationship of his own. It was just one of those things. We were both unhappy in our previous long-term relationships, and something about our new relationship was “right” enough that it caused us to make super-traditional decisions we maybe wouldn’t’ve otherwise, with other people.
So although I can’t read Ms Kruger’s mind, it sounds like it might be that thing. When you get out of a long bad thing and then someone just ~enchants you~, sometimes you decide to try out other new things also. (I’ve now been with my husband almost as long as I was in my awful dragged-out relationship, and this relationship is way, way better—so there’s something to be said for making *good* snap decisions!)
I don’t know, I feel like it makes more sense. Diane Kruger strikes me as more . . . adventurous than Joshua Jackson? She always seems a little quirky in interviews and Norman Reedus is a bit unconventional. Whatever works.
Maybe Joshua didn’t want to be a father. That would be a very big deal breaker for a woman who wants a baby and is approaching 40+
Although I agree, isn’t the topic of kids something that should have come up at some point in their relationship? Whether or not a couple plans to eventually get married, I would think they would have some sort of talk about the future after a while.
You would think. But no lie: I just met a woman who found out AFTER she got married that her husband expected her to immediately quit her job, stay home and have babies. This was news to her. She had a higher-paying, more powerful position than him in the same large corporation and she was like, nope.
You’d think he would bring up those expectations before the wedding. Or that they would have discussed when – and if – they planned to have kids. Their marriage didn’t last a full year.
Sometimes people don’t bring this stuff up because they’re young and it feels like they have all the time in the world to figure it out. And suddenly the clock is ticking. Or maybe they wanted kids and change their minds.
People are complicated. Relationships can be hard… But do talk about whether you want kids and your spouse to quit working BEFORE the wedding. Oy vey.
Maybe she wasn’t sure she wanted kids either, then realized she did as she got older. Or maybe she changed her mind. Or maybe they agreed they wanted kids, but Joshua didn’t feel ready yet. Who knows.
IDK I remember an interview with Josh where he said he really wanted to be a father. He also said breaking up with Diane would be like amputating a limb. I can’t believe she went from Pacey to THAT.
I wouldn’t say it was a downgrade, both are very different men. Reedus was a babe when he was younger and can still look good when cleaned up and styled.
He’s a partier and that lifestyle is showing in his appearance. Look at Sean Bean, he’s a well known drinker who was hot back in the day.

I don’t understand having a baby with someone like Norman period. He isn’t just a drinker but a raging alcoholic who even makes Ben Affleck pause. I can’t stand either of them. He was cutish in the 90s but he always had coke puff beady eyes and never looked or smelled sober.

Funny people bringing up Sean Bean. I just finished watching the Frankenstein Chronicles on Netflix and couldn’t help thinking how much Sean reminded me of Norman. I guess it was the same grizzled, alcoholic appearance. 🙂

I agree with Babs. I watched a pretty long TV interview with Joshua Jackson and he seemed like a total bore. It was like watching paint dry. I didn’t find him charming or interesting AT ALL. Zero charisma. (IMO) And he didn’t come across as a particularly warm, kind person either. And I don’t think he’s physically attractive at all. After being with him for 10 years, I can kind of imagine how being with a somewhat wild, adventurous, free spirit like Norman would be appealing to Diane. And, Norman is also known to be a very nice, good person and a lot of fun to be around.
Well I think Joshua Jackson is very funny, smart and sweet. In all the interviews I’ve seen, he always comes across very well.
And I loved him in Fringe, where all the reports were that he is always very sweet and friendly with all the crew. No need to put him down just because you like Norman

Joshua is like a lot of former child stars (especially the ones that managed to turn into reasonably well adjusted adults) in that he doesn’t give a ton of personal detail and is pretty guarded in interviews. Funny enough, both Michelle Williams and Katie Holmes are like that too. Some people just prefer to keep a firm boundary. While he always comes across as nice, I’ve never seen an interview with him where he’s gotten particularly personal.
Same. Reedus has great guns but off-screen he looks silly. But I have never seen the appeal of mayo JJ. Bland, everyday dude. Never fathomed what DK saw in him.
Boondock Saints Reedus was a lot hotter. Even now – cleaned up he’s not bad. But he just looks so dirty and unwashed for the last forever. I get that during filming he kind of has to – but the rest of the time, I just don’t get it.

A lot of people are feeling sorry for Joshua Jackson because supposedly Diane never wanted to start a family with him in those ten years they spent together (lots of comments on the DF). I just don’t get that. It’s not like women owe men babies. You have babies when it feels right and you’re in the right relationship, whether that’s with a husband of 10 years or with a new boyfriend you met a year ago. Sometimes you think you don’t want kids and then you meet someone new and boom, it feels right. Besides, if Joshua really wanted a family, he was free to leave at any point.

She was with Joshua in her 30s while she was working on her career. Maybe she didn’t want kids then and now that she’s in her 40s, she wants kids now. She just happens to be with Norman. Perhaps if the relationship had lasted with Joshua, they would be having a baby.
I feel bad for Joshua because I feel like he’s the good guy here, and Norman is the “dangerous bad guy” type who she cheated with, but she gets knocked up by him instead. I think Diane will get heartbroken in the end, if I remember correctly Norman likes his women a lot younger and I don’t see this lasting.
Yeah, but Diane and Norman have already been going out for two years at this point and have been spotted house hunting, so it’s hardly a fling. And staying with the good guy just because he’s good doesn’t make any sense either. The heart wants what it wants. Besides, Diane has got enough money and resources to take care of a child on her own. Even if the relationship only lasts a few years, she will still have a beautiful baby in her life.

I still enjoy TWD. It may not be the same excitement as the first few years but it is still better than much of what is on network television.
As far as the gossip about Lincoln and Cohan, they are my least favorite characters and if this season is their last, I won’t be terribly disappointed. I have wanted Rick dead for several seasons now.😀
WD has lost me with the ridiculous, juvenile and verbally diarrhetic Negan.
The fact that they have had him at gunpoint countless times over the past 2 seasons and he’s miraculously escaped unscathed (even his bloody bat, which has been doused in petrol and burnt. Trash Girl just gave it back to him???? WHY????).
Negan is a psychopath and should have been killed. The fact that his throat was slashed but that a medical student using god knows what non-sterile equipment was able to save him made it even more ridiculous.
Plot is all over the place- Rick goes hippy then psycho killer then hippy again (not killing Negan) with no logic whatsoever and the interesting characters (Carole, Michonne and Darryl) have been meandering around with no plot forwhat feels like forever.
I think the show lost it when they used Glenn’s death as a cliffhanger. That’s when I realised the writers were fanboying over Negan and their own cleverness and all pretense of logical plot went out of the window.
I did find the little Carl- last-day-alive montage quite touching though. He was an annoying little brat but grew on me over the seasons (one of the few character with realistic development- apart from his inexplicable fondness for Negan of course).
It used to be one of my favourites. I used to look forward to it. Now I watch while surfing the net and FFing some characters.
I don’t care if every baby in Denmark is named Mingus, that still doesn’t change the fact that it sounds terrible with Reedus as a surname. Mingus Christensen would have been fine.

It’s actually a Scottish name, and they named him after Charlie Mingus the legendary African American jazz bassist.
I think the name’s fine – like you said, different cultures and traditions. That being said – I don’t like it combined with Reedus. It’s almost too sing-songy or something.

Admittedly I have no knowledge of the guy”s acting skills. Just fascinated – based solely on his looks here – how he managed to get a date much less have children with two different stunning woman. Maybe he doesn’t smell as bad as he looks?
A friend of mine works in PR and meets some celebrities in the course of her work. She met him a few years ago and said that he looks exactly like he does in photos, was super polite and helpful and that he smells great. She’s a major fragrance geek and thinks he was wearing some Calvin Klein fragrance combined with some spritzes of something fancier that I can’t remember the name of. She was surprised because she expected him not to be so fresh smelling!
People who meet him at conventions always say he smells delicious. I would love a whiff of that man.

I bet he showers regularly like any sane person would (I’m pretty certain Diane Kruger or Helena Christensen would never date someone dirty and smelly). The ‘dirtiness’ is just a look he’s going for. His hair is probably just full of gel/wax, not actual grease. I used to date a guy like that back in the day. He had that scruffy, just-rolled-out-of-bed rocker look going, but it took him 45 minutes every morning 😉

All I can say is I am a huge TWD fan and had an opportunity to meet Norman Reedus at Comic Con once. He is very kind, charming and personable, he also smells glorious and obviously bathes. Not sure why everyone has something negative to say about him.
In relationships, people move on. People fall out of love. It isn’t always neat and tidy. That is life. Jackson has moved on and so has Kruger.

I’ve been a huge fan of The Walking Dead since the start, but the show is running on steam now and has for the last few seasons. When news about Andrew Lincoln leaving after Season 9 broke yesterday, I was not surprised.

For the sake of the baby I hope these two can make it work. They’re both a bit odd and unconventional so in a way they make sense. Say what you want about Norman’s looks, but he is a loving involved father.
I’m not excusing cheating (if she did cheat, since there were always rumors that she and JJ were in an open relationship), but the timing and her age makes it seem like she realized Josh didn’t want kids and so she made the right choice if she did.

I’m not convinced yet, because Diane has done all that before. Wearing cloth that suggest a pregnancy. I also always thought she was much more into him than the other way around. Not a fan of either, but I do believe Reedus is the more interesting man when compared to Jackson, although I wouldn’t be surprised that IF pregnant, she might be a single mother. I simply cannot see Reedus commit.

I left an ex and a terrible relationship for my husband and it was the best decision I ever made. She left Jackson anyway so what if there was some overlap?
