This will hopefully be a new end-of-the-year tradition: my gossip predictions for the upcoming year. It’s not like gossip stories cycle out on December 31st, so obviously some of my predictions are about stories and celebrities we’ve been obsessing over throughout 2018. I’m not pretending to be a psychic or anything, but I do seem to have gotten a little bit of my gossip-predicting mojo back in the past few years (after it left me for a while). So here are some of my predictions for 2019:
Political predictions. I hate to say it, but I don’t think Donald Trump will be impeached in 2019. I think Republicans in the Senate will continue to have his back, even as everything descends into chaos. But! I do think 2019 will be an awful year for Trump, his family and the GOP in general. I truly believe that several Trumps will be indicted in the first three months of the year. I also would not completely disregard the whole “Trump will end up resigning” theory.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will welcome a girl. I mean, I have a 50% chance of being right? Unless it’s twins, but I don’t think she’s expecting twins. My gut says she’s pregnant with a girl.
The Duchess of Cambridge will get pregnant with her fourth. My prediction is that Kate will wait until the late summer or into the fall of 2019 to get pregnant again. She will have announced the pregnancy by Christmas 2019.
Pippa Middleton will get pregnant again too. She’ll go twinsies with her sister, likely on the same schedule.
The Queen will survive another year. Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate her 93th birthday in 2019. I believe she’s got several more years.
Justin & Hailey Bieber will get pregnant. I think Hailey Bieber (formerly Hailey Baldwin) will pop out one kid before they eventually split.
Brangelina In 2019. I think Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce will finally be settled in the coming year – financially, custodially, legally, everything. The biggest hump was the custody arrangement, and that seems pretty much settled. It’s going to take months for them to work out the financial stuff, but I think they’ll manage to do it by the end of the summer. I also think Brad will do another big Girlfriend Rollout in 2019, and hopefully this one will feel more authentic than the Neri Oxman nonsense.
The final episodes of Game of Thrones will be disappointing AND traumatizing. Not only with the finale of GoT be traumatizing, I just think that everybody will be really disappointed by who dies and who lives and how everything plays out.
Will & Jada Smith will finally get divorced. It feels like they’ve already split up and consciously uncoupled and processed everything, so it’s weird to realize that they’re actually still “together.” I’d like to see them stop with the overselling of their marriage and just call it a day.
Cardi B & Offset. I think their split was legitimate, and she thinks she’s truly over it. But I predict they’ll sort of get back together and she’ll get pregnant again.
Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux. I think Jennifer will lean into her “I don’t need a man” image and she’ll casually date some dudes, but I don’t see a huge romance for her in 2019. But I think Justin will get someone pregnant in the next year.
Kim Kardashian & Kanye West. I honestly think that we’re going to get another round of serious rumors that Kim wants to divorce Kanye. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s filed for divorce by Christmas 2019.
One or more of the Kardashian-Jenners will get pregnant again. My money is on Kylie and Khloe.
There will be at least one major surprise pregnancy. We aren’t surprised by a lot these days, but there are some celebrity women who still have the skills to really come out of nowhere and drop a pregnancy announcement and surprise the world. Maybe Beyonce. Maybe Taylor Swift. Maybe Selena Gomez.
Serena Williams will win her 24th Slam in Singles. My vibe is that she’s going to do well throughout the year, and my gut says she’ll win #24 at the French Open or Wimbledon. I also think that Serena and Venus are both going to wait to announce their retirement – neither will retire in 2019.
Other tennis predictions. I’m saying that Roger Federer will not win his 21st Slam in 2019. Novak Djokovic will win #15, and my heart desperately wants Juan Martin del Potro to win another one. 2019 is Delpo’s year.

Those two have been hella quiet the tail end of this year.
Trump will get elected another term 100%. Weve got a lot further to fall before we right ourselves unfortunately.

My fear too, there’s still a lot of racists out there & people who will stick with the Republicans no matter what. I don’t know anyone who voted for Trump that has changed their mind about him or the Republican party in FL. My family in CA hasn’t changed their minds either, and while their conservative votes don’t really count in CA, some of them donate money to the Republican party 😝.

I think part of it is that, yes, the racists are further emboldened and they either believe his ignorant spin on things (deliberate falsifications) or are wealthy white people who stand to gain tremendously from his alliances and decisions so will support him regardless of the fact that he’s a raving fool.
But the other part is that our elections have been completely and totally compromised by voter disenfranchisement and rigging. The elections themselves are deeply corrupt with the Russian interference, Facebook’s involvement in swinging the election, voter purging, etc. There is such a deep level of corruption that I believe it is impossible to identify that Democrats have won because the Republicans have been so successful–with their Russian and U.S.-based Nazi coalition–in repressing the vote and tampering with results. So we could very well oust It (i.e. #45) but It will still be elected President again because the whole system is so corrupted.
Hilary Clinton will run against Trump.
Well if these are 2019 predictions Trump won’t get re-elected. I’m going with he will resign with the caveat all his kids and friends get pardoned even in NY state court which will be hard since NY state has wanted him forever. I’ll go with a Jan 2020 prediction on that.

*Of course a Kartrashian and a Duggar will be pregnant…is water wet?

Yeah it would surprise me if Republicans hauled their heads out of their asses, but resignation? Possible. Either one leads to President Pence though *shudder*, which is horrid but less likely to continue to make the USA a laughing stock on the world stage.

My friend just ran into Keanu a couple of weeks ago here in LA. He said he was with what seemed to be his girlfriend. Someone unknown.

President Pence during an election season might be intersting. Does he attempt to run and humiliate himself? Do the republicans start grooming other candidates despite having an incumbent? Some slapstick hilarity might ensue.
I wonder how Trump supporters- especially the most rabid ones- would react to him resigning?

Venus won’t retire until 2020 at least,even than I can see her playing more doubles. I see a new grand slam winner on the men’s side this year though! Maybe Karen,Stefanos, or even Nick.
I want to add to the prediction that Serena will not only win #24, she will also be pregnant while doing so.

I can endorse all of these.
I’m not so certain about Gosling and Mendes, Will and Jada, or Harvey – at least the first part, the second will happen, no doubt – but that’s because I am a deeply skeptical person. But there’s no chance Brad Pitt doesn’t continue to be terrible or that I will ever care about the Kardashians.
I know nothing about you, but on this you seem like good people to me. Thumbs up.
My biggest prediction? More women will come out about Donald Trump. I’m surprised they haven’t just continued pouring out since the campaign.
I think he’ll need to be out before more women come forward. His true support base is SCARY. I would be terrified to come forward. But I do think there are plenty more, and they will eventually come forward. I wouldn’t be surprised if many were underage models at the time.

My view on Gosling/Mendes is it may be like Momoa/Bonet in that it is such a non-story because everyone has assumed they already were (and I can see them slipping it in after 5pm on a Friday during a holiday weekend lol)

@Original Jenns – I take your point, but I think there will be at least a few who are brave enough. And I thank them in advance because his base really *is* scary, but it’s so, so needed. My fellow democrats are like my kitten who can chase his own tail for a quarter of an hour – the best, most adorable intentions, but absolutely no coherent strategy nor the attention span to accomplish their goals. Something will need to happen to energize and focus the left or we’re screwed in 2020.

It’s an Oscar tradition! I’m not joking, it’s why I find it funny when people like Cooper are so thirsty for Oscars. It’s so often a curse, or at best a neutral.
I actually think there’s almost no chance that won’t happen for BCoop whether he wins the Oscar or not. Well, not so much the relationship thing, I have no idea what will happen there (except I THINK male winners have fared better with their relationships surviving after a win? I COULD be wrong there though.), but the next project not matching A Star is Born’s success.
First of all, it would have been hard to match that ANYWAY. It’s done really, really well. But second, the next movie he’s signed on to star and direct is about the conductor Leonard Bernstein. It may end up being good- he’s secured the rights to his music from the family, and Spielberg is also involved with the project- but there is NO WAY that movie is going to appeal to the masses the way ASIB did, and I imagine it won’t be the same kind of emotional, crowd-pleaser type story. He’s chosen a much harder sell for his next time out, and I just can’t see it matching up to the success of his debut even if it ends up being a good movie.

Adding onto the divorce/split predictions, I’m going to add Will & Jada to that list, as well as Adam Driver.
Will & Jada look like the straw is going to break the camel’s back at any second, and Adam Driver is probably waiting until after Star Wars Ep IX has been released.

A pregnant woman is not going to get cast in a big blockbuster, she’s nowhere near big enough a name for them to spend a bunch of money hiding it with CGI. My guess is she will try to make some moves first and if that fails? Well who gets the baby photos, People or US Weekly?

He’ll strike a plea deal to keep his ass and those of his kids out of jail. Of course, it would be so sweet to see Don Jr and Jared serve some time in the pokey. So far no celebrity has accused Dan Schneider of sexually abusing them though. Noah Munck (the kid who played Gibby and has worked with a lot of the nickelodeon girls over the years) was asked about it and said that he never witnessed that kind of behavior toward or heard about it from the others he worked with, but also admitted that he’s afraid to even say that because if it later turns out that Dan Schneider DID victimize anybody, it’ll be like he’s discrediting their story. That’s kind of the situation all nickelodeon stars are in with the Schneider thing. It’s even worse for all the female celebrities who have worked with him. If they just flat out reveal that nothing like that happened, they have the added risk being called Lying VictimWhores by both sides, AND possibly discrediting somebody else’s story if Schneider really does have victims.
It’s possible that he has victims somewhere out there- they may not turn out to be as famous as people suspected, hoped, or insisted. It’s also possible that it’s a rumor mill hoax. Either situation will reveal some ugliness and misogyny about us as a culture.
This is truth for a lot. I hope this year we all learn a sexual abuser, harasser or whatever can abuse one person, two, or 50 and it all sucks and can be the truth. They don’t have to abuse 50 to make it true. Stop asking every celebrity what was their experience, cause for all you know if they weren’t abused they are telling their truth and if they were maybe they aren’t ready to tell it yet.
-A girl for Meghan and Harry
-A fourth for Kate and William(the only way he will consent to another kid is to take the limelight back from his brother)
-No impeachment (wish it would happen but don’t think it will)
-At least 2 more Kardashian babies
-Chris Pratt knocks up what’s her name(too lazy you look up the spelling)
-Angelina gets serious with a philanthropist/politician/social crusader while Brad desperately tries to latch on to anyone he thinks will make him look cool
And the Obama’s get off the high road and get down and dirty and start slinging mud.
I predict that either Lady Gaga or Katy Perry will get pregnant this year. Possibly Miley Cyrus, but not now- maybe closer to the end of 2019, possibly Priyanka Chopra later in the year, or possibly Nicki Minaj. I also think Meghan Markle’s baby is a boy, and that Angelina Jolie will be dating someone new this year.
Melania finally flies for divorce, when it is found out 45 got a recent hookup pregnant. The woman will belong to a prominent political family and the shockwaves will also turn the Republican Party against him.

– Tom Hiddleston will get married and have a baby with someone really great
– Priyanka will get pregnant

Those with the Beckham predictions are spot on! I think he’ll stay further and further away from her while she juggles kids and business. He will live like a single man in Miami. All this split will go down in 2019 while spice girls are touring so it can either be hush hush or boost publicity for them, the VB business, and the Miami club. Brooklyn will still remain a mess and join his dad but eventually stick with his mum and siblings.
Or who knows…maybe David will get some sense knocked into him and he’ll treat Victoria better than ever.

I hope they don’t, I never want that for a family. However, I think that if they do, all of their traveling this year was to reassure the kids that even though mom and dad aren’t together, they would always be around and always love them. That’s what it felt like to me, not a “we’re solid” vacation, but a “time to give the kids reassurance” vacation. It’s kind of what happened with my parents. Lots of time out and about together after they announced their split.

-Meghan will give birth around Valentine’s day. (“Polo baby” is right – I think they were already pregnant and she told Harry. I knew she was pregnant at Together because Doria immediately looked at Meghan’s stomach when Meghan stepped out of the vehicle. I think they went for their scan to find out gender and took mama Doria. I am utterly confident that it is a girl. She’s hella empowered and feeling girl powery and like she is a khaleesi, rightly so, and I have never been more sure of anything.)
-Miley will announce her pregnancy.
-Eugenie will announce her pregnancy three days before Meghan surprises with a Valentine’s baby girl named Elizabeth Doria Rose.
I knew Meghan was pregnant during the WellChild event when he was gently rubbing her back whilst sitting down chatting with people. I think she was feeling groggy but went ahead with the engagement like a trooper.
– Baby Sussex will arrive at the end of Feb/beginning of March.
– The baby will be a girl.
– Taylor Swift will get engaged.
– David & Victoria Beckham will finally spilt.
– Something big and damaging will go down with Trump (maybe jail time).
– Kayne & Kim will split.
– Meghan’s baby will be a boy
– pregnancies for Miley, Priyanka, Eugenie.
– William and Kate will just stick with 3 kids
– engagement for Taylor?
– Brad and Angeline finally settle their divorce/custody, divorces possibly for David and Victoria or Will and Jada
– Kylie Jenner and Travis either break up or have another baby. Also another baby for Khloe.
Harry and Meghan will have a girl in February.
The Markles will continue to hog the spotlight.
The relationship (or lack thereof) between William and Harry will get frostier.
David Foster’s midlife crisis girlfriend will get pregnant.
No babies or pregnancy in 2019 for Hilaria Baldwin and Hailey Bieber
Madonna to adopt another orphan.
Donald Trump jr to be indicted.
The royal family will have another pregnancy (eugenie) and a funeral (duke of Edinburgh)
By the end of the year the sussexes will be expecting again.
Meghan and Harry will show they have the Midas touch. Whatever they touch turns to gold. Causing intense jealousy from Kensington and Clarence.
Ben Affleck does something to embarass himself.
Jennifer Gardner gets engaged.
Taylor Swift pregnant or engagement.
Angelina Jolie wins some big humanitarian award or starts dating someone amazing. Brad starts hanging out with Ben Affleck.
Hailey Baldwin pregnancy.
Kendall Jenner and KStew date.
Pete Davidson gets engaged again.
To be fair Emily, Ben Affleck is a straight up broken clock. You know it is gonna be right twice a day.
Am with the predictions that the Cambridge’s will have a fourth, Eugenie will also get pregnant and that maybe the DoE won’t make it. Things between Harry and William will get worse and the press against Meghan won’t improve until maybe the baby arrives.
As for celebs, yeah the Beckhams will finally split due to him having another cheating scandal in the US.
Uday, quasay, Tom riddle and daughter/wife will all get indicted, as will several high ranking GOP senators.
Agree 100% on Mr Beckham ,his reputation will soon be finished by a sex scandal.I think it will be bigger than Tiger woods.

I think Trump is gonna get re-elected. I’m sorry, I flat out do not trust the American people one bit on this. I’m not denying the extent of the Russian interference, but as with Brexit, it’s incredibly foolish if people think that the people who voted for Trump will be swayed by facts rather than their own racist prejudices. There are plenty of home grown racists who can do the trolling work on Twitter; they already do.
However, I do think there’s a chance Trump will be forced to resign at some point because of the financial improprieties he’s been involved in. My guess if this happens–he’ll resign sometime in 2020, we’ll get six months of Mike Pence, and the Republicans will lose the next election.
Brexit is gonna go forth with no deal and it will be absolute shambles, as everyone always predicted. But I also think that there’s going to be some real, major anger about the way it all shook out from the Tories’ electoral base. They’re going to lose the next election after Theresa May steps down, we’re probably going to have Jeremy Corbyn as PM by the summer.
