Brielle Biermann is the 21-year-old daughter of RHOA alumnus, Kim Zolciack-Biermann. Brielle appears in Kim’s current reality show Don’t Be Tardy. She’s basically grown up in front of the camera, thanks to her mother’s obsession with reality shows. Because of that, many remember when she looked like this:
I can relate to this picture on a spiritual level😂😂 @BrielleZolciak pic.twitter.com/Ls6tda14An
— Mollie (@Mollie_Sinclair) January 16, 2019
And noticed when she started looking like this:
As you can see, Brielle shares her mother’s devotion to pillowy lips. Kim encourages Brielle to get injections in her lips because, “it makes her (Brielle) happy.” I have no problem with that, she’s an adult – her body, her choice. But regardless of her motivation, her lips are quite noticeably large and not everyone is a fan. Many tell Brielle some version of, “you looked better before the injections.” Tuesday, Brielle felt compelled to set the record straight with a series of throwback photos on her Instagram stories, calling anyone who her spoke ill of her new lips, “liars.”
Harvard Law School’s Spring Course Catalogue: Evidence 101: PROOOOOOF and How to Own All the Liars”. Since I have sad, little rubber band lips that look fine to me, I can’t confirm that those who are against Brielle’s bee stung beauties are liars. Nor can I conceive of why someone would lie about their opinion. Regardless, this is a hot button for Brielle. She’s constantly defending her decision to get her lips done. As she once responded to an Instagram comment telling her to leave her lips alone, she thinks she looks better and doesn’t care that other people don’t. But she obviously does care. It makes me a little sad because Brielle said her lips are her biggest insecurity. I’m all for plastic surgery if it makes you feel good, whether it improves your look or not. But by the amount of time Brielle spends convincing us we’re wrong and she’s right, I worry the insecurity is more than skin deep.

It’s so sad that she sees that “before” photo as ugly – she looks like a pretty young woman! How many girls who follow her look like that before picture and have just learned that they are ugly ?
THIS
Right? She looked like a classic pretty girl-next-door type whose looks would be rewarded in a normal social environment. Now she looks like gross blowup doll and significantly older than her age…
someone came into my work yesterday that had a similar amount of injectibles and probably Botox and obviously Barbie hair extensions, and I was shocked at how unnatural this cosmetic intervention looks in person. People did not want to stare but we couldn’t take our eyes off her surreptitiously.
ITA. At my workplace we regularly have local celebrities and – while they look good on TV – they look incredibly unnatural in person. Some of my (male) colleagues are openly making fun of them and it’s all kind of sad because IMO they are verging on body dysmorphia / addiction with all the stuff they are injecting into their face.
Anyways, I have no clue who Biermann is but she – just like Kyle Jenner – is overdoing it. To a certain extend I understand why she didn’t like her thinner lips but why do they always go for this blow-up doll look?
I find it so jarring to see in real life. I feel like the human eye can’t help but do a double take because the blown up lips, puffed up face, wrinkle free skin is so unnatural that when someone turns around and has a face like that- it takes a second to process what is going on. I wonder if instinctually my brain is searching for a bee sting or some injury that would explain it before I realize its just plastic surgery. Or like the family photo Christmas cards – When its someone you know and their face is ‘off.’ I don’t mean any of that to be judgmental or mean spirited, I just always find myself responding differently to people IRL than celebs. And while being freaked out by it in real life on other people, I look at myself in the mirror and wish for botox on my forehead. Strange times we’re living in…
Sexualized and hyper procedured selfies get the “likes”. I told my son how young women are vulnerable to. Body Dysmorphia, intellectual neglect, opiate addiction from surgeries etc.
She learned it from her mom. Kim was something like 26 when real housewives started and looked 45. I always thought she was lying about her age until her daughter grew up and started getting procedures but now I believe it because Brielle looks 40 herself.
I can’t ever imagine getting plastic surgery myself but in general if someone wants to, their body. But it should be about moderation. No 20 year old needs to look like a completely different person. And as a side note, I’ve always wondered when someone gets that many injections into their lips, does it hurt to be kissed? It looks painful just as is.
She would have looked better somewhere in between the natural and what she’s sporting now. God, those girls are such a mess it’s sad. If someone really wants lip injections – whatever. I don’t care, it doesn’t affect me. But those are just TOO much for her face.
The kind of lip injections that look ‘right’ are the kind where you’d never guess someone got them.
Exactly. She could have gone for the natural look. Not blow up doll mouth
I agree. I think she could easily have had half the amount of injectable and gained an excellent result.
I can see why she wanted to increase the volume of her lips. It is not my business to comment on things which might have genuinely upset her.
I wish we started less and built up to more.
She was definetely prettierbefore the lip injections. But if she feels food about them, then it’s fine.
She was very pretty.
You know it’s really interesting for me to see how the world turns.
I’m mixed – Brit/Nigerian and have always had full lips.
I was called ‘pomo-shaki’ in Secondary school and felt self conscious about them right up to my A levels.😶
There’s something so odd to me now to see how far people are now going for bigger lips.
I actually wish this ‘popularity’, or something, existed when I was in HS and I felt less awkward and was not as teased. (Funny how so many of my former classmates get injections now!😏😉 )
Agree! I’m a white girl who was in high school in the 90’s, when flat butts were the thing. I have full thighs and a bubble butt and was constantly teased, or asked by black guys if I was biracial(I am not🤷🏻♀️). And then all of a sudden in the 2000’s, bubble butts were the thing. It didn’t matter to me, except I was finally able to find pants to fit me!
Same! Mixed girl (look more white) with big lips and was teased a lot about them. I was called puff-puff because of them. My face would do much better now in HS versus when I attended. I was in HS when thin waif flat girls, blond hair, were in style and desired.
I bet we went to high school at the same time. The women who were deemed to be beautiful in my teens were Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, Mischa Barton, Jennifer Love Hewitt (who in the late 90s was waif thin), Sarah Michelle Geller. The common denominator with all of these women were that they were so thin, thin, thin. It deeply and negatively affected how I viewed my own body from middle school until my early college era. The magazine/entertainment industry wants to take zero responsibility for what they put out there, while nonetheless serving as the arbiters of what is “beautiful” or “normal”.
I’m so glad there’s more diversity now, thanks largely to the inroads POC have made via changing the conversation and putting their own style and beauty on display. Instagram, youtube and the rise of independent film distribution have given people a voice. Vogue continues to ignore them. Has anyone clocked the article on journalist/activist Noor and her Vogue experience? I nearly cried reading the fashionista article. Celebitchy, PLEASE write about this! Anna Wintour needs to be fired! The article is:
fashionista . com/2019/01/noor-tagouri-vogue-misidentified
Jegede, I was thinking the same thing. As a mixed race WOC, I was horrified when Micharl Jackson went for the tiny nose and thin lips and imo he was trying to deny his black features. The Wall album was the last time he looked like himself and I thought it was sad. Lots of POC hated their lips, noses, butts. I loved those things about me and didn’t get it.
Now the world has turned and white people have just gone crazy. Lip and butt injections, corn rows, and deep tanning. I’m just as baffled by this swing of the pendulum. But truth to tell, I’m happy that traits that POC have are being celebrated. My big butt and my full lips are suddenly aspirational. Now if only the pendulum can swing to the middle where every ethnicity is celebrated for what they bring to the table.
My family and I were called N word lips all through the 80s. We are mixed islander in that “good” (read -white) school…now my son has inherited The Lips and I show him photos of handsome famous men w the same. He knows people pay good money to emulate. Yes. Things have turned.
I try so hard not to judge anyone for their enhancements/injections/surgeries. It’s their body and if they are happy with it, who am I to judge. My concern is, what about her education? Her future financial stability? Kim is not a great example for her kids in that regard. Kim’s past is not good. She got pregnant by a married cop when she was a teenager and got paid a ton of hush money then she had Big Poppa paying her bills then she married Kroy when he was making hella money in the NFL but he hasn’t played in years. Kim and Kroy need to teach their kids the value of a dollar and hard work. Kim even photo shops her youngest daughter, Kaia’s photos to make her appear thinner and her butt bigger! Kaia is around 5 years old! That resonates with me b/c my daughter’s name is Kaia. I would sooner die than try to make my daughter look more appealing to men in social media. I truly think that Kim is pimping out Brielle in one way or another just like Kim pimped herself out. Man, I worry for all their children. And if anyone calls her out for photoshopping her children’s pics, Kim immediately blocks you. If that doesn’t exhibit lies and deception then I don’t know what does. Those poor kids.
Those girls don’t stand a chance and it’s really sad. I can’t imagine being so vapid and self absorbed.
Yes this and it’s quite sad.
Pimping her out – yes, Kim actually offered on social media that her daughter would give blow jobs for favors. They are just going beyond the Kardashians to the next level.
Search for ‘Angelyne’ to see a pioneer of this aesthetic and ‘famous for being sexy’ logic.
I think the issue is that she has clearly been raised to believe that appearance is the most important thing in life. Hence why at 21 years old this girl has no job or passions and interests outside of being on her mothers show and posting selfies. I remember when she was younger it was often a joke between her mother and Kroy about how “dumb” Brielle was and how she did terribly in school. I would assume that might breed some insecurity.
It’s a shame with aallll that money they couldn’t have helped her out with school, isn’t it? God these people suck. When you have so many resources, there’s no reason for your daughter to be a ‘joke’ about how poorly she’s doing in school.
I’ve told my husband that assuming we have kids, I expect them to work their butts off through high school. They don’t HAVE to go to a University if that’s really not what they want. But I want them to work their butts off and have as many open doors as possible to go do what they want to do. If that’s a trade, cool. If it’s to be a hairdresser, that’s cool. If it’s to be a pharmacist, cool. I just would expect them to be doing the best job they can regardless of whatever chosen career they have. And that’s clearly not how these kids were raised. Looks looks looks – and it’s clearly done damage.
Erinn, you are soooo right!! I feel the same about (i do have a 7 y.o daughter) education, effort and hard work.
My grandfather had to flee Spain after our civil dar, and he always said to invest in only thing that cannot be stripped from you: your education. It became a family mantra.
And it still baffles me when parents that can afford tutors, clases, good schools for their children, choose to make them virtual illiterates who rely on something fleeting: their looks. Even sadder is the fact that mother do this to their daughters.
I feel bad or kids that are raised by parents who seem to care more about looks than character.
That old photo she posted as an example is pretty. She looked a bit like that alt-right Barbie Lauren Southern before and Southern gets most of her clicks by being pretty rather than parroting whatever wack hackneyed nonsense she gets from the uglier alt-righters, so to she’s being too harsh on herself to say she wasn’t pretty beforehand. Now she looks just like her Mama, for good or bad.
And people worried about posh having a daughter.
Kim literally is photoshopping her children and passed on her body disorders to her daughter.
Great idea for a reality show. Have all these “reality stars” ( Kim Z, Brielle, Kardashian/Jenners etc) who like to constantly post selfies, spackle on the makeup all together on an island. No access to social media, smart phones, make up or mirrors. See who lasts the longest before they start screaming for a chance to pay respects to their god “Instagram” or put on some makeup
It would be like “Lord of the Flies meet Survivor “
Now *that* is a reality show I’d actually watch
She was very pretty before, now when I look at her, the first and only thing I notice is how fake looking her lips are
She has always been a pretty girl. She’s still beautiful, although the lips are a little over the top to me. My irritation are reality stars who get testy when people have an opinion about them. People being invested in your life is literally the only reason you have an income.
I blame her mother for this. She is a total mess.
She was a beautiful girl in that picture that she posted and she looked her age. But now she looks 10 years older. Her face is going to be so jacked up in a few years. And there is no one in her life that will help her realize this.
Given who her mother is, and all the work she’s already had done, I would imagine Brielle’s self-esteem is low. Really sad.
If she’s going to be so dang snarky to anyone who thinks she’s prettier untouched, which of course she does, then I’ll be snarky too. Pay more attention to your cankles.
I’m not a fan of policing women’s bodies, but man does it speak to their effed up cultural standards that she thinks her older picture is unattractive. She was always a cute girl.
Did you see Kim K’s picture of baby Chicago with makeup filter on it…sexualizing a 1 yr old and putting it on the web for sickos to drool over. Aren’t mothers supposed to protect their children : these kids see from a very young age that your natural face isnt desirable. So sad 😥
She’s a mini-me of mom
I mean, the look trending now isnt “bad”, its not like sharpie eyebrows – its an exaggerated natural features look (that takes an hour to achieve…) but I mean, the way they do it they ALL LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME- they all get their noses done they all do the huge lashes tehy all do teh same contouring they all do the same matte lips and the same injections here and there….. and to top it all off they all bleach the same highlights into their hair /extensions.
Its pretty but I am sick of seeing the same things. (aint no way in hell Id send more than 5 minutes or 10 dollars on makeup either, so, Im just sayin as a spectator)
One more thing: respect for the transformation. She really dont look like the same person. Thats some dedication (and money and time etc)
God their nose jobs… Both awful. And how sad for this dumb girl that she thinks her before picture is ugly. So much self loathing. I feel bad for her but not too bad because from what little I’ve seen of her she is a total brat and gleefully on her way to hooker status like her mother.
To me, the goal of plastic surgery, unless you are correcting a deformity, should be to look like you, but better. This new wave of KJ-reality show-type full face transplant plastic surgery is just body dysmorphia with money. She doesn’t look anything like her original version and that’s sad. I don’t think it’s enough to say “if it makes you happy, it’s okay” because how long will this make her happy if she is fundamentally unhappy with what is underneath? She’s talked her lips but not her obvious nose job. Maybe some sort of counseling should be required with major plastic surgery.
I’m also really uncomfortable with the “if it makes them happy and isn’t hurting anyone else,” laissez faire attitude to huge amounts of plastic surgery, especially in really young people—teens and young twenty somethings. There are a lot of unhealthy things that “make people happy.” What about someone who cuts? That makes them happy and isn’t hurting anyone else. What about anorexia and bulimia? That makes them happy and doesn’t hurt anyone else. What about gentlital mutilation? That’s something that’s passed on from mom to daughter, some would say it makes them happy or they’re happy it was done to them, and it’s not physically hurting anyone else. But the “happiness” derived from these things is pretty obviously not coming from a healthy, stable place. And considering that cosmetic enhancements and surgery seem to be addicting and we keep seeing people going back for more and getting further and further away from anything even remotely natural looking, I’d say that the happiness they get from what they’re doing is fleeting, at best. When Kylie and Brie has their lips done once, we all said “well it made them happy, so whatever.” But it obviously didn’t make them happy for long bc they went back for more, and it made them “happy” again, and then more, and more, and more. How happy are they really if the happiness is so short lasting?
And while none of these things, including plastic surgery, are technically physically harming anyone else, they are all adding to the emotional and mental hurt that other women and girls feel when they compare themselves to these wildly fake, absolutely unnatural, mostly unattainable standards. To be constantly bombarded by “beautiful,” “sexy” women who are only able to look that way because they have access to elite plastic surgeons and lots of money to spend on injectable cosmetic enhancements, is damaging. These women are changing the standard of beauty from something that is at least real (even if rare) or able to be achieved with makeup if one wanted to replicate the look, to something that literally no one is born with. We are getting to a point where so many people have surgically enhanced looks, that no one will be considered beautiful in their natural state anymore. In order to be beautiful or even just considered “normal,” one has to undergo plastic surgery and spend tons of money, possibly screwing their face up for life, possibly injuring themselves for life if they’re unable to afford the safe, highly trained, and highly expensive doctors that these women use. So I’d argue that they are hurting other people and that they’re not truly happy.
you’re totally right. I’m all for aesthetic surgery when you change a bit to look more harmonious, but it’s really scary that those women are starting to look like some non human creatures. no woman looks like that naturally. that look isn’t found in nature. it’s too much and people don’t find that beautiful. I really dislike the fact that that unnatural look is becoming the new norm and now normal people aren’t good enough and are compared to those brat dolls.
also, is she blind? she is obviously completely unaware of herself if she thinks she was not pretty before and is now. I really think people like her have a problem with their self image.
It’s just her age. They come out swinging at that age and I imagine if I had done 21 in the public eye I’d have swung left right and center 24/7. She was beautiful before and she’s beautiful now and that’s all the time I have to spend on this chick.
I was 21 not too long ago, and so were a lot of my girlfriends, our mothers raised us to have character and not to nitpick every little thing about our appearances and none of us acted the way this girl is. It’s way more than her age, it’s how she was raised, look at her mother…there ya go
Hopefully she’s not “stuck” with this look when she realizes her mistake.
Agree with an above post – this type of thing is really uncommon in my area (PNW) but when you do see someone surgically enhanced in person, it’s shocking. Heck, I can hardly carry on a conversation with a woman wearing eyelash extensions without simply staring at them the whole time!
This is harsh and judge of me but they both look like ridiculous.
I have never heard of them before but in the last pic I had to look twice to figure out who is the mum and who the daughter. that’s what I don’t get about people over-doing fillers, injections: they age you.
overall they look like barbie dolls, so I share I sentiment a bit.
I find it incredibly sad. This is where SO many young girls are headed. I know people in their early-mid 20’s who are tweaking and injecting and getting fake this and fake that all over the place. It’s like the more you can actually look like a snapchat filter, the better. Some are already turning into unrecognizable versions of themselves – at 25 FFS. It’s awful to me that girls just look to a few nips, tucks, injections, extensions, fake eyelashes, fake nails, fake hair, as the only way to look pretty. And these are average people with average jobs doing this, it isn’t for just the rich anymore.
And to think our generation was making jokes about the Wonderbra…I hope these girls realize their children will inherit their original faces.
Yes!!!
Inherited body dysmorphia.
Where’s Kim’s next oldest daughter? She should be 2 or 3 years younger than Brielle. I never hear anything about her. But then again, I don’t watch Kim’s tv shows. I hope Brielle’s younger sister is doing ok. She was a chubby kid and I can’t even imagine what it must have been like, growing up around those famewhores and not being perfect.
She’s gone the way of her mother & sister, fake long blond hair, nose job, lip job, fake eyelashes, stupid open-mouthed poses. Shame. She was originally portrayed as ‘the smart one’ in that she did well in school. I guess higher education is no longer in the picture.
I am feeling ancient here but does anyone remember the original twilight zone tv show where a beautiful barbie type is going in for plastic surgery because she is shockingly ugly and then you see that everyone else has the head of a pig? Cue creepy music..
Pretty sure I saw that episode about a year ago!
Yes! I remember that episode. It was pretty interesting to me at the time.
I feel so bad for her – do you think she thinks all old pictures of her are ugly or she had to search for this one? I’m afraid it’s the former.
Aside from correcting burns/deformities, etc., I kind of wish plastic surgery wasn’t permitted anywhere. I don’t knock people for wanting it, but there’s now a culture out there of people who honest to god think they “need” it to be not only applauded, but even in some cases accepted. It’s so sad.
SHE may look better, but her lips look disgusting. If you’re gonna get work done, that’s your business, but I will absolutely criticize the actual work if it isn’t done well. Periodt. You are paying for a service, and that service is sub standard at best!
Their IG accounts are so depressing. Kim does such a disservice to her children by not encouraging them to do anything aside from focusing on their looks and plastic-izing themselves. Sad life.
Especially this girl, who can’t count to 12 with her shoes on…
I will never understand a woman’s desire for the blowfish lip. it never looks natural, but like they’re having an allergic reaction to shellfish. I’m sure it’s based on some sort of sexual stereotype, that is sure to look more and more ridiculous as they age.
It also looks like she’s had rhinoplasty.
I think she was ridiculously pretty before.
Now she looks Barbie-doll/Hollywood, like a caricature of herself.
How can you be born so beautiful and not see it? I don’t get it.
These poor girls are growing up having no idea what a normal, natural face looks like. I weep for North West in 10 yrs.
With mothers like this, who needs enemies?
That kid never had a chance.
Wonder how much self love can be taught in a house where your mom is fake fake fake?! I’m so sad for her. She looks a lot older than her age.
You also have to remember some young teens are going to see the Kylie Jenner impact and ‘WELL KYLIE IS A BILLIONAIRE BUSINESS WOMAN NOW’ argument. Ugh. Love yourself as you are. If you don’t think you’re good enough, who will? Self love and respect is something I think we need to be teaching and guiding from birth. I know I am with my two babies. Celebrate differences in humans. How boring if we all looked and acted exactly the same?
So, I clicked on the Instagram pic, and she’s got all these sponsors that she’s doing Instagram posts for (Brielle?). I was very unhappy to see that the younger sister is already sucked into it as well. She has a couple sponsorships. I bet the plastic surgery is ahead down the road. Some of the comments! My God – it feels like the commenters could definitely push someone into doing something rash.
All of these girls doing this stuff to themselves now, what are they going to look like when they’re 40?! 40 is YOUNG, these girls are super young, I couldn’t imagine injecting my lips for twenty years. It seems insane to me. They all want to look like these plastic, big chest, huge butt, no ribs, no waist, hair extension, heavy make up, fake lashes, injected dolls. What is happening? These girls are already beautiful. So sad.
