Eva Green wore Alexandre Vauthier to the London premiere of Dumbo. I love the color and design, minus the shoulder pads. [Red Carpet Fashion Awards]

Eva looks amazing. Green is my favorite color. And I love how she still manages to look edgy and goth while wearing a bright green dress!

    • Becks1 says:

Yes, I think she looks great. the shoulder pads get a meh from me, but I love everything else about it so I’m willing to overlook those, ha.

    • Sojaschnitzel says:

Amazing, right? I love green aswell. Both the actress and the colour. Just wow.

  2. Yellowrocket says:

I know 2 Ursulas, both are in their 30s. I think it’s considered a regular enough name, in Ireland anyway

    • Sojaschnitzel says:

It’s very regular in good ole germany. I would not consider it a beautiful name though.

      • Nina says:

I agree, Ursula is not that pretty. The nickname Uschi does not help at all. Uschi Obermeyer rocks that name, though. She’s insanely attractive.

    • leskat says:

I lobbied for the name Ursula for one of my daughters but my husband was not on board at all. It’s so beautiful!! It’s a shame that Disney wrecked such a good name. They wreck a lot of names with the connections to specific characters.

    • Tigerlily says:

      I’m in Canada & while Ursula isn’t common, I’ve known a couple.

  3. Lightpurple says:

I have long believed that Nikki Haley was an idiot. Her attempt to own Bernie Sanders in issues of maternal healthcare backfired spectacularly and Finland now owns her.

    • BlueSky says:

She’s a moron and just embarrassed herself. As someone who works in the healthcare Industry the system is broken. People literally cannot afford to get sick. Don’t get me started on the cost of medications. Even with health insurance it still doesn’t guarantee you will get the best care.

    • BeanieBean says:

Loved the series of responses. Nikki is an eejit–some quick internet searches, or, I don’t know, regular newspaper reading, could have educated her. She had to do it the modern way, though, by getting schooled on Twitter. The WHO routinely ranks health care systems around the world and Finland + the Scandinavian countries always rank highest in almost all the categories. Many, many countries rank a whole lot higher than the US in pretty much everything.

  4. Fluffy Princess says:

Of course Finland thinks Nikki Haley is stupid–people in Finland are very pragmatic and not much for BS. Just like the orange menace and the leaf raking.

Also, Finland is a great place to visit! Helsinki is a marvelous city, full of great architecture, nice people and good food!

  5. hogtowngooner says:

She looks stunning in that green dress,

  6. lucy2 says:

That dress is gorgeous and she looks great!

  7. Amy Tennant says:

I have to admit, my first thought of Ursula was Phoebe’s twin on Friends. And then I thought of Women in Love. (I probably also would have thought of the Sea Witch). I think it’s a fabulous and unique name, and I don’t automatically think Disney villain when I hear it. I would nickname her Little Bear. (Ursula Andress, Ursula K Le Guin– there are enough other Ursulas out there in public knowledge).

  8. ElleKaye says:

I think this dress looks a size too large on Eva, but she looks beautiful, as always.

As far as Elton John…do kids even care about Elton John or a bio-pic? Is it that important to get a PG 13 rating that they can’t/won’t show two men together? It seems to me that if they cut the scene in question, it will turn away other segments of his audience looking for authenticity. It is 2019. It is OK to be gay.

    • Agirlandherdog says:

No. They really don’t. Anyone interested in seeing the movie isn’t going to hampered in doing so by an R rating. Cutting the scene to get a PG 13 rating is just stupidity. Anyone offended by the scene wouldn’t be going to see it anyway because everyone freaking knows Elton John is gay, and it’s not like a homophobe is going to hurry out to see an Elton John bio pic with or without a gay sex scene.

    • Lightpurple says:

The rating affects where the film can be distributed without further editing, like on airplanes. Cinema chains will make more screens available for a PG13 film and it is easier to distribute in foreign markets

    • SK says:

As an Aussie this is just bizarre to me. The USA has some weird lines! So blatant drug use and alcoholism is all good, but don’t you dare show some tame gay sex!!! 🙄 I just think your ratings system is also weird and outdated. Here we have:
      G—General
      PG—Parental Guidance
      M—Mature
      MA 15+—Mature Accompanied
      R 18+—Restricted
      X 18+—Restricted
      RC—Refused Classification

I think this is a much better system with more nuance.

  9. h3Rh1GHN3SS says:

    eva is banging

  10. Um says:

I really like the dress. She should’ve worn a better bra.

    • Sojaschnitzel says:

Was thinking the same but I love her too much so I didn’t wanna say anything. Still looks mindblowing though.

    • josephine says:

also my reaction. I think the too-large shoulder pads aren’t helping b/c it makes her bust-line look too low.

    • TaniaOG says:

I agree. She needed a better bra. She looks beautiful though.

  11. Minx says:

I adore Eva, and she looks stunning here. I wish we could see more of her…in like everything. My world would be a happier place.

  12. lunchcoma says:

Do most kids even know who Elton John is? I considered him to be more an artist for my parents than me, and I’m almost 40.

I’m sure there are a few kids who are especially interested in music who like him, of course, but I’m guessing those kids also found out about his husband.

    • Agirlandherdog says:

*gasp* I’m 39, and I would consider myself more of an Elton John fan than anyone in my parents’ generation.

  13. Soni76 says:

My sister was at a work conference where Nikki Haley spoke. She said it was the most embarrassing thing ever- she couldn’t answer any questions with substance and skirted all serious questions. She came off knowing nothing. Ugh.

    • anon says:

Nkkii Haley is the Republican version of a smart person (meaning, she’s a functional idiot).

  14. Sojaschnitzel says:

I think I want this dress now. And then I will cut the shoulder pads out and enjoy life.

  15. Charfromdarock says:

That green looks amazing on Eva!

  16. manta says:

What would be the problem with Ursula?
Hello, the name of one of the iconic characters of one of the most prominent novels of the 20th century?(Cien años de soledad)
My first and only thought when I hear it is Garcia Marquez, the Buendia dynasty.
And maybe Ursula Andress as a distant second.
An amazing amount of people on this planet don’t care for Disney,or have never watched Friends.
A newborn with this name will be fine.

  17. Erinn says:

    Mueller Friday!!

    • Incredulous says:

I look forward to a weekend of unhinged, smarmy tweets as I sip a single malt Islay and listen to every ’80s tune I can think of.

    • Tiffany :) says:

The Mueller Report has been delivered!

I’m feeling super bad about this right now. Barr is saying it recommends no further indictments. How can Jr. and others at the Trump campaign/org not be indicted?!?!

Where’s Eric to talk me off the ledge?

      • Incredulous says:

There are eleventy billion ways you can split that recommendation legally and we will hear them all from every source as journalists et al fall over themselves to provide their hot take. Personally, I’d wait a bit as I presume Barr is still reading and digesting the report even as I write these words and Mueller’s group famously do not leak.

That said, you cannot charge a sitting predisent with crimes despite, oh, I dunno, him admitting on camera to textbook obstruction of justice, and don’t forget Smoothbrains Jr releasing evidence of his crimes because he is a colossal idiot.

As regards the idiot offspring and his crimes, that one is a dunker and – just spitballing here – I imagine there’s at least one DA or ADA in New York with an eye on political office in the future who might just take on an easy dunker of a case against someone whose surname is Trump for the points.

      • lucy2 says:

        I can’t believe it’s finally done.

I don’t know how much will come of it, but I think we’re in a much better position with the Democrats in control of the House, they won’t sweep it under the rug like the GOP would have.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Lucy2, that is a great point. I am going to hold that in my heart to comfort myself. At least the dems will fight tooth and nail to get important information out, and take action where they can.

  18. Mrs. Peel says:

Shoulder pads and all, Eva looks incredible. Very unique and incredibly attractive woman – no other actresses resemble her in the least.

  19. clairej says:

I just love Eva. She is beautiful.

  20. TaniaOG says:

It’s Mueller time guys!! The report just dropped.

  21. Morrissey says:

I wanted to name my daughter Ursula, but my son already had a male equivalent of the name, so I refrained.

  22. Naddie says:

I think this woman did something really good to me in another life, because I adore her. Just seeing her makes me feel good. She’s everything: talented, magnetic, humble, beautiful.

  23. Beach Dreams says:

I think this dress would’ve looked even better on her in a darker green.
