One of the themes of summer social media posts tends to be stunning professional wedding photos, whether because couples have just gotten married, or because they are celebrating their anniversaries. On Sunday, The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco posted three wedding photos to celebrate her first anniversary with her husband, Karl Cook. The photos show them during and after their ceremony, during their first dance, and at the ceremony. They are beaming at each other and looking gorgeous. Cook also shared photos, however, he had other ideas about which photos were the best ones to mark the occasion:
Cook decided to mix things up, and posted some not-so-glamorous shots of the coupleās year together.
āEveryone posts wedding pictures amongst other idealized images on their anniversary, not me, these are images of my gorgeous wife I remember,ā he wrote, with two heart-eye emojis. āI love you @kaleycuoco.ā
The collection started off with a video about an eyelash incident, and the second picture featured Cuoco smiling with a large green chunk of something in her teeth.
The third picture was a sweet shot of Cuoco and a dog, and the final image showed her sleeping.
The coupleās celebrity friends clearly loved the moments Cook captured (and hopefully, Cuoco liked them as well).
Iām always terrified that I have food stuck in my teeth and that no one is going to tell me, so whenever someone does, they automatically become my new favorite person. (I also donāt hesitate to tell people when I notice that somethingās in their teeth.) Iāve discovered that if I take a photo of myself, the odds are pretty good that itās going to be unflattering. If someone else takes it, then the chances are better that I wonāt look like I just finally got out of bed after being ill for a few days.
Iām guessing that Kaley was in on the joke; Celebitchy pointed out that she regularly makes fun of herself. Even if she didnāt know which photos her husband was going to post, she probably found them amusing. I donāt think she looks terrible in them; theyāre candid shots (and a video) in which she wasnāt worried about being made up or looking perfect for the camera. Celebitchy also said that they reminded her of the no-makeup photo that Russell Brand posted of Katy Perry while they were married. (It was quickly deleted.) Since the photos and video of Kaley are still on Cookās Instagram, Iād say Kaleyās fine with them. Her husband had better watch out, though; she may change up her game next year.

I really am no fan of Kaley – but that video/photo set actually made me sort of like her. They seem like a really well suited couple – and I really don’t doubt that she was at least partially in on it.
I follow their rabbit on Instagram (yes,really…) and the account is very cute and witty.
I have a soft spot for Kaley and I like her husband he seems good for her.

I’m not a fan of any acting she’s done, but she seems like a really sweet lady, and they seem like a fun couple. Happy anniversary to them.
His posts about Kaley are *always* the same. It’s always a picture of her when she’s tired or grubby or sick with a sarcastic caption like “I’m so lucky to be married to THIS”. That would be ok if he did it once in a while, but he does it constantly.
She seems a lot happier with this husband than the last husband, but I wonder if this one is a low-key jerk as well.
They always look happy on instagram, but I saw paparazzi footage of them at their horse stables in the midst of a fight. She looked really glum and he looked like he was refusing to speak to her. I see paparazzi footage of them so rarely, and for the paparazzi to happen to catch them in the middle of a fight tells me it’s probably not that rare of an occurrence.
I’m with you. I get crazy vibes from both but – for what it’s worth and it isn’t a lot – I have a bad feeling about the man.
Something about his eyes creep me out. And the flesh colored beard gives me Spencer Pratt vibes.

This! I follow him on Insta and watch all his stories (I’m a rider too) and I get the feeling he posts these ‘candid’ and unflattering photos of Kaley to make himself seem more ‘worthy’ of her? Like downplaying her celebrity status to the max because he feels like such a normal dude in comparison? I’ve seen stories where he walks in on her having her hair and makeup done before an event and he’s like ‘look at these idiots. Idiots everywhere. Such idiots’… it seems to come from a place of insecurity from his side. I don’t know if I’m expressing it clearly but I definitely get a weird vibe from him on this stuff.

I agree with you completely, Stormsmama. The red flags are waving and the alarm bells in my head are ringing. Itās one thing to post a bit of a goof with a really sweet caption, and another to one-up her three pics of you guys looking gorgeous together with three pics and a video of your wifeās gross/unattractive moments, while also low-key calling her out for doing what āeveryone elseā does (oh, so gauche!) by posting the āidealizedā professional photos. She is wealthier and has more social/professional clout than he does, and it really seems like heās trying to forcefully remind *her* that theyāre not on different levels. Itās one thing to have grounding private moments with an ambitious, successful spouse who gets a lot of attention (earned and unearned) from strangers, and another to knock them down a few pegs in public. Also, the jokey aspect of it feels like gaslighting ā like, even if he got her input and āpermission,ā she didnāt have any true option to say no that wouldnāt make her look bad.
