Love @Lightpurple’s comments and dislike Ivanka deeply (that’s putting it mildly) but a while ago, I commented…probably too late in the day to register…on the Nagini thing. It’s bad enough that JK Rowling culturally appropriates s**t, without us perpetuating the misuse. I explained at length in my original comment, and don’t have the time to search again for it, but in short, naginis are not evil beings (also so tired of the Christian mythology of making snakes rep evil). Just like the swastika has been co-opted by Nazis and white supremacists, now we have to deal with Indian mythology being overstamped by Potterverse idiocy.
Please think about it when perpetuating the use of it to characterize a terrible human being.

By perpetuating the name, it does have to do with dawnchild’s statement though. A better analogy would be enjoying the Brer Rabbit stories, but since they come from that horrible movie, Song of the South, they’re tainted.

I never thought I would be happy to hear what Bolton has to say.
The Senate GOP is so far behind on all things impeachment, stale tea just might work on them.
The Bolton story helps remind them that the truth will come out eventually (Trump surrounds himself with self-dealing grifters who will trade loyalty for cash). Even though the impeachment trial might end in the coming weeks, the information will continue to come out in the years to come. History will judge the GOP harshly for the crimes they enable.
