The other night, my husband told me he was thinking about shaving his head. He’s done this once before. When he changed careers, he asked me to give him the mohawk he’d always wanted, which he wore during his work gap. He shaved the ‘hawk when the new job started. He looked absurd but *shrugs* that’s what he wanted. However, I may have jumped into the conversation a little too aggressively when he brought it up again. His motivation was that he’s worried about not getting a haircut for the next several weeks and this was his solution. Men are so weird. Among the other ideas that got tossed out were one of us attempting to cut each other’s hair. It turns out, we aren’t the only amateur beauty technicians out there, plenty of folks are giving it a go. Scott Evans, brother to Captain America Chris Evans, also decided to shave his head. After calling for his mother to save him, he took the first swipe with his razor so there’d be no turning back.

He followed that up with a photo of the final outcome, which, honestly, wasn’t bad:

A few moments later, Scott let us in on the secret to get it just right: ask your big brother to finish what you started:
Don’t worry @itskatelambert, my brother helped me even it out. 😜 pic.twitter.com/a2s2vaEQ9a

In that video, Scott said, “I can’t believe I did it.” I’m sure he was talking about shaving his head, but I can’t believe he gave Chris a razor and access to his head after forcing him to watch his old films during lockdown:
Remembering old movies with @ChrisEvans – “Fast Forward” definitely made an impact. Here’s something to make everyone smile. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/2C4zkcrceH

Pink also tried her hand at haircutting, but she tried it on herself… while drunk. As she points out in her video, rarely are good decision made when drunk. Add to that no one should handle scissors while drunk so really, this should serve as a cautionary tale:
I don’t think it looks that bad. I get that she missed a spot, but it adds some nice texture to the cut, like a side version of the famous Kate Gosselin hairstyle. Plus it looks fine in a beanie so just cap it until it grows out enough to work with. But I certainly hope she makes her next hair choice in the morning. Several times I’ve tried to give myself a trim, mainly my bangs. At one point they look decent, but there’s just that one bit for me to correct and SNIP, I’ve mucked it all up. Then I have to wait until they grow out so that a professional can fix them. Bobby pins and hair ties are your friends, folks. Step away from the scissors. In case you were wondering where Pink’s inspiration came from, her husband Carey Hart, shaved his head just a week prior:
In all honestly, I actually advocate in favor of trying something you’ve always wanted to during self-isolation. Change your hair color, try a perm, explore a smoky eye – it’s the best time to see if you like it. And if it goes t*ts up, you have a little wiggle room to let it grow out. Or try a new look, like leather pants or caftans – create your own isolation version of you – when else are you going to have the opportunity? But again, please, don’t do any of that while you are drunk or stoned. I don’t want to be responsible for those clumps of singed hair on your bathroom floor.
Last bit, since we mentioned Chris above, do you know who is absolutely loving this self-isolation period? Dodger!

Mmm Chris Evans. I hope he shaved his head too because it looks better on him. When I moved to Vienna, Austria to do my Master’s, I wasn’t too confident in my German and I didn’t know where to go, so I used a razor to trim my bangs and layers for like six months. All I can say is…thank gosh I was 22 and had a pretty face.
As for Chris, on a side note, “Defending Jacob” trailer looks really good!
That’s one of my favorite books so I’m very nervous about this! I hope it’s excellent…
I bought One of those face vacuums! I’ve been dying to try it and quarantine has me aware of every. Single. Pore. The reviews always said you could bruise your face so I never Tried. Now I figured who cares! I can Jack my entire face clean up!
Best news: it works, and I didnt Bruise my face. Take chances this quarantine, as long as you ARENT taking chances with your health or the health of others ❤️
I was watching those ads the other day too!
I actually started cutting my own hair this year, so I will just continue to do that. I have curly hair and was getting terrible $70 haircuts anyway. I’m probably going to help my quarantine mates with their hair, maybe buy a shaver to help with the trimming. Chris and his brother are so cute, love their quarantine vibes! Pink is hilarious, I love her fuck-it attitude. So funny to see how celebrities are dealing with this like normal people.
Look how sweet Dodger looks cuddling his Evans bro!
I’m still going into the office every day but have started experimenting with different eye makeup looks, just to relieve some stress. Also, I have a pixie cut and am worried about what it’s going to look like by the time I get in to see my stylist 😬. I’m not at all creative with my hair, hence the pixie cut, so that’s adding another bit of stress 😬😬
I also have a pixie but I have a FABULOUS stylist whose cuts grow out really well, so I’m not too worried about it yet. I did trim the back and buzzed the edges on my neck this morning. And if it gets bonkers? I’ll shave my head. Always wanted to try that.
I will not be cutting my own hair – tried that in high school and my mom nearly killed me. I definitely won’t be coloring my own hair. I own hats.
I cut my own hair my junior year, Spring of ‘61. I ended up with a Jean Seberg in St. Joan style. It looked pretty good, but after that I let it grow wild till it reached my ankles.

I’m wondering how much beer was involved in that video of Chris laughing his ass off at “Fast Forward.” Too funny!
There was this woman on Jeopardy last week who had this awesome half-shaved hair style that I’ve wanted to try for a long time, and I keep eyeing our clippers and thinking “It couldn’t be that hard, right?” Haven’t taken the plunge yet, though.
This is one time when I’m very glad I have a shaved head. No worries about trips to the salon or how it’s going to grow out. My youngest daughter (7yo) has a half-shaved do that’s really cute and she rocks it. It was her request out of all my Pinterest hairstyles I had saved for myself.
Chris Evans. *sigh* I love him.
Chris Evans. Top spot on my freebie 5!
Love love love him😍
Snort…just gave my husband a DIY cut with the clippers due to being stuck at home. Bit of a disaster. Too short on top. Botched the sides. OMG. *groan* What a sweetie. Looks like an unstable criminal who just got out of jail, but he forgave me. 🙂
have a very bad habit of impulse cutting. I learned in high school not to put it in a ponytail and cut. that gave me a big crooked line. because I have curly hair I think it doesn’t really show and people like my creativity lol. the biggest problem is the back. when I do get to a hair dresser they’re like oh it looks ok and then they just start shaking their heads when they get to the back….oh well. I relate to pink. it’s just hair!
I was due for a haircut and highlights 2 weeks ago, had to push it back for an event (that got cancelled) to Saturday (cancelled) so I will now have too-long hair with dark roots. Oh well! I had to hit up the dry shampoo yesterday because we did a work call on zoom, LOL.
I didn’t know or forgot that Chris’ brother is also an actor. I think he’s way cuter than Chris!
I couldn’t watch Pink’s video, I can’t stand people eating crunchy food and talking.
Any tips on cutting bangs? I’ve got a four-year-old and the idea of growing out her bangs fills me with dread. I mean in the scheme of things, it’s a small amount of dread, but it is still dread all the same. 😀
I use small handheld clippers. comb the bangs out flat and then press the razor against the forehead that way you are getting a very even line. my hairdresser does it on me and I have adopted. don’t know how your lil one will get down with a buzzing razor but maybe you could pretend it was a game 🙂
The suggestion I got was to trim with the scissors vertical, not horizontal. I have long, layered side bangs, though, not blunt across the forehead, so I can keep them messy. I found this from Refinery, it sounds solid:

I will take Chris Evans to quarantine with, okay thanks!
He’s always been my favourite Chris — though I will say i prefer the “Civil War” or even the “Red Sea Diving Resort” hair to the buzzcut. And the beard of course. Love the beard.
All dogs everywhere are being spoiled. Mine is running around, chasing kids, playing with toys, so many walks. They are the only winners, here.
My hair is a mess. I was due to go to the stylist, and had an appointment early last week that I had to cancel. Ugh, it looks AWFUL. My husband is already considering buying clippers for him (he’s still working and actually has to see people) and my son’s hair .
I know we are all very sensitive but I had this thing that irritated me about the celebrity home videos even before this corona mess hit the fan. Why talk with mouth full in a short video? Can’t you wait for two minutes to get your snack?
I used to cut my own hair, it’s loosely curly. A few years back, I spent four years without going to the hairdresser cutting it at home. When I decided to go, I asked the hairdresser to check if it was straight /ok, … She offered me a job.. 😀 Guess I’ll have to go back to doing it… 🙂
