This is not the first, second or third time that Kim Kardashian has leaked stuff about her marriage woes to the gossip media. She’s been doing it for years, basically since Kanye first big bipolar swing, back in 2016. In the months that followed his hospitalization that year, Kim was constantly floating the idea that she was considering divorce. She did something similar earlier this year, when Kanye was in the throes of another manic episode – it got to the point where every People Magazine exclusive sounded like another entry from Kim’s diary. Well, it’s starting up again. Last week, Entertainment Tonight had a curious exclusive about Kim’s exhaustion with having to deal with Kanye’s mental and physical absence when she’s going through something or making decisions about the kids. Sources said Kim feels like Ye “needs to work on himself before he can work on the well-being of anyone else.”
What was weird about that ET exclusive is that nothing immediately preceded it. Usually, that’s the kind of story Kim plants after Kanye says or does something awful. This time, it just came out of nowhere, like Kim is taking inventory of her marriage at the end of a tumultuous year. Speaking of… People Mag has got another exclusive:
After weathering a tumultuous summer, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are still together — though a source says they “very much live separate lives” currently.
“Kim has work and projects that are important to her, and Kanye has his,” the source tells PEOPLE. “Their lives don’t overlap much.” (A rep for Kardashian West, 40, had no comment when reached by PEOPLE, and a rep for West, 43, did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.)
Still, the source says “Kim seems happy” and is “very focused on work and causes.”
“She strongly believes she can make a change when it comes to prison reform,” the source says of the star, who is studying to become a lawyer and this week publicly pushed for President Donald Trump to commute the sentence of Brandon Bernard. Bernard, who was convicted of murder as a teenager in 2000, was executed by the federal government on Thursday.
“This is her passion,” the source says of Kardashian West’s justice reform advocacy. “Her family is very proud of her.”
This was true nine months ago – Kim was over Kanye, they were fighting, he lived full-time in Wyoming, and she wanted to stay in LA. Separate lives, separate interests, with Kim acting like a single mom most of the time. Then Kanye had a bad, months-long manic episode and Kim was pulled back into his drama. I guess she wants us to know that she’s in LA, he’s in Wyoming and she’s still thinking about leaving him. Thanks for the update, Kim.

This smells more of a person getting ahead of the question “where is Kanye” when he’s not at Christmas etc. I’m guessing if he’s in Wyoming doing god knows what she’s not going to be like “hey come over and infect our kids with covid!”

What a horrible thing to say. Kim has way more money than Kanye. She doesn’t need anything that’s his. I’m very truly believe that she doesn’t give a fuck about him and she’s willing to stay together but live apart until she either meet someone new or the kids are a bit older and can function a little better with the unavoidable drama Kanye will drag out. Kim will want an quick close divorce And she can’t get it right now with the way that Kanye has been functioning.

Actually Kanye has more money than Kim…he’s estimated to be worth a billion dollars.
I think you’re right Robin. She and her family are SO wealthy and clearly don’t have issues with getting a divorce. I think she doesn’t want her very young children to be in his sole custody 50% of the time (or any % of the time). She has more control over them now than she would if they divorced.
But by all means keeping have kids with the dude. Their marriage was like this since day one. Kim always wanted a wedding never a marriage. Kris Humphries wasn’t even allowed to move his stuff in to the house lol. Oh and of course the narrative always has to be the women leave the men, never the other way around right? I hope he files for divorce first (if this story is even true, we all know the Kardashians are desperate for attention).
So what has changed besides the frequency/intensity of his manic episodes? Wasn’t he living in France while she was still living with Kris at the beginning of their marriage? I don’t get the need for her to set the public up for this eventual divorce. We all know it’s coming and has been for a while. Just do it already.
She knows that she needs to build a case against him to get full custody. Dragging it out will make it easier in court. He’s had multiple manic episodes. She is giving him time to get it together. If he isn’t willing, she can claim that he should get visitation, but not legal custody due to not working to control his mental illness.
Remember, chick is wired in the legal community. It’s her kids, so she’s not trying to lose in court. Like her or not, she plans with professionals. She knows what he will be in a divorce. He’s clever, and he is a slash-and-burn person who doesn’t care what people think, a la Trump.
IMO they’ve never had much to do with each other. There’s zero chemistry between these two.
Yeah, I with you on that. At the very least she married him just to have a big beautiful wedding and have children. Everything with this family is so staged.

I was thinking about their house. Once he’s gone, will she tear down the “monastery-looking” part? I certainly would.
