In 2020, Netflix seemed to be a corporation on a mission: to take down Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales. It was pretty funny. Netflix produced The Crown Season 4, which showed (in one season) the introduction of a teenaged Lady Diana Spencer and Charles’ emotional and psychological abuse of Diana starting from the early days of their courtship. Clarence House did the most to combat the wholly truthful representation of the Wales’ marriage, and they ended up Streisand Effect-ing themselves and drawing more interest to the series. Not only that, they pissed off Netflix to the point where Netflix hyped the hell out of their reissue of the 2017 documentary Diana: In Her Own Words. That documentary merely used Diana’s own tapes to Andrew Morton, where she describes intimate details of her suffering, her marriage, her eating disorder, and a lot more. Clarence House even got pissed about this TWEET:
The documentary DIANA: IN HER OWN WORDS answers much of what you’re asking pic.twitter.com/85gFfVir7h
— NetflixFilm (@NetflixFilm) December 1, 2020
If a future king’s status is so endangered by a popular Netflix soap opera and a TWEET, then guess what? Charles has bigger problems than Netflix. Still, Netflix smelled blood in the water, bless their hearts. Netflix is apparently greenlighting another documentary about Diana using even more audio from the Morton tapes.
Netflix was accused of trolling the Royal Family after a ‘sinister’ post on its official social media account prompted a wave of online hate for Prince Charles and Camilla. Senior palace sources reacted with anger to the tweet, which invited viewers to watch a documentary on Princess Diana which they claimed would provide ‘answers’ to criticism of its flagship drama The Crown.
Now, the heir to the throne and his wife should prepare to don tin hats again because, I can reveal, the documentary makers are planning to release a new film with more damaging revelations, based on unheard audio recordings made by Diana.
The sequel to the worldwide hit Diana: In Her Own Words will be released to mark the 25th anniversary of the Princess’s death next year. American film maker Tom Jennings says he has six more hours of unheard recordings. They were made for use by Diana’s biographer Andrew Morton in his 1992 book Diana: Her True Story.
‘There are seven hours of tapes that Diana made for Morton,’ Jennings says. ‘We wound up in our two-hour film only using about one hour of them.
‘We’re talking quite a bit about doing something for next year, which is the 25th anniversary of Diana’s passing and also coincidentally it’s the 30th anniversary of Andrew Morton’s book. There will be renewed interest, and season five of The Crown will be coming out.’
Diana: In Her Own Words was first screened amid much controversy in 2017. It was re-released last year by Netflix, which used it to justify controversial scenes in The Crown. Viewers of the haunting documentary watched archive royal footage as Diana’s voice was heard making stark revelations such as how she tried to bring on a miscarriage by throwing herself down stairs while pregnant with Prince William, and how Charles allegedly wished that Prince Harry had been a girl.
Jennings admits the sequel will cause similar upset at the palace. ‘There are about 140 story points that Diana talks about over the seven hours,’ he says. ‘We called it the seven pillars of Diana’s life.’
Lolz. There are a lot of tapes! Andrew Morton parcelled them out every so often to outlets like Entertainment Tonight and such, but I don’t hate the fact that he’s apparently giving documentary filmmakers a chance to use them in a more comprehensive fashion. And yes, it will absolutely send Charles into yet another tailspin. He’ll be authorizing “sources” to “fact check” everything in the documentary, thus giving it more attention and more people will watch it. And Diana’s ghost will laugh and laugh and laugh.

Netflix ain’t no fool. They probably saw the traffic. It probably drew a lot of new subscribers. Charles throwing a fit was just the icing on the cake. Now they have Harry and Meghan and their Invictus Documentary will probably air next summer as well.
It’s all win win on their end.
The Brits and their arrogance in thinking that they could strong-arm Americans. Perhaps a History is in order for the UK about the American Revolution which lasted for 8 years. 1775-1783.
Netflix: trolling the BRF by telling the truth. Again. Classic!
Once again, younger millennials and Gen Z will learn just how putrid that family is. I was shocked by the number of people my age that really didn’t know the way Charles treated Diana.
Agreed. Many younger generations are unaware of the backstory (e.g., Charles dating Camilla, wanting to marry her but Camilla was not approved by Queen Mum) and the whole saga of Camilla marrying Parker-Bowles and Charles marrying Di….and they kept their affair going. Diana was plucked very young to be his bride – I think it suited BRF that she was naive. She obviously grew up and grew more aware – but I think her self-confidence was shredded by Charles’ behavior and infidelities….hence her own affairs. I think the story that Bashir falsified information to get her to do the interview is true; a lot of people are saying it’s a “whiny doe-eyed white woman narrative,” – I think it was a woman chewed up & spit out by the BRF and she was not thinking straight. I will bet Charles slept with more women outside of his marriage – not just Camilla, and Di had her suspicions.
However, Charles did not want to get married when he met Camilla. This is right from Charles own account to his authorized biographer, Jonathan Dimbleby. He and Camilla had a “fling”, some sources say it was for her to get revenge on Andrew Parker Bowles (she was involved with him since 1966 and wanted him to marry her) for his affair with Princess Anne. She then got involved with Charles. If Charles had really wanted her, like his great Uncle Edward would have moved heaven and earth to marry her. Charles did not. And did not tell her they had a future together and up and left on a tour with the navy. Charles was involved with many other women besides Diana. He had another married mistress in Dale Tryon and had serious girlfriends including Davina Sheffield and Amanda Knatchbull, as well as ANna Wallace. If he loved Camilla, he would not have been with all those women nor proposed to at least two of them including Diana. Janet Jenkins (Charles and Janet’s love letters went public and were sold at auction) was another girlfriend and they had an on again off again affair for years. Nobody stopped Charles from marrying Camilla Shand, except himself. If it had not been Diana, it would have been some other much younger aristo.
I think the ‘seven pillars of Diana’s life’ should be made into a series – one a year released with great fanfare for the next seven years. Haha. Take that RF.
With all the Dianalooney out there! LOL
Netflix loves keeping that foot on Chuck’s neck. And next season of the Crown will have the famous Panorama interview. Sucks to be him.
I hope that the next season of the crown does diana justice tbh. I kind of have my doubts. I just hope they don’t portray her as some crazed woman.
If what The Crown has shown so far is any indication, their depiction of that family will be very Diana-positive, and not too friendly to Charles.
One thing I positively adore about Josh O’Connor’s portrayal of Charles is how he manages to make the man look hangdog even when he’s standing up straight. Much is made of Diana’s habit of keeping her head down while looking up, but Charles does something similar, keeping his chin down and bending his neck slightly while looking straight ahead. On Diana, the look is shy and flirtatious; on Charles, it looks like he’s bracing himself for a blow. I used to feel a bit sorry for him because of that look. Not anymore.
I think overall, thus far, the Crown has been surprisingly sympathetic to Charles. to me there’s been an element of “yes yes he treated Diana this way but remember when his father packed him off to Gordonstoun??” So that’s why I dont think Charles should have complained so much….yes it reminded the world that you cheated on Diana with Camilla, but it really could have been so much worse.
I dont know how they will handle the 90s, but I think the biggest risk for the royals is going to be a comparison of Diana to Harry and Meghan.
I don’t trust Peter Morgan to tell Diana’s story. This show has been a whitewash of the queen AND of Charles – honestly both were handled with such kid gloves, the fact that they royals threw such a fit over it is telling – that I don’t have high hopes. My concern is that they’re going to do with Diana what they did to Charles, but worse. Meaning, one season where you sympathize with her and see where she’s coming from (with Charles, the season where he was sent to the torture school) and then gunning for her in the next (with Charles, his cruelty to and jealousy of Diana.) I bet the queen remains largely unblemished through most of it, which should tell you where Morgan’s loyalties lie.
Netflix is milking this for all its worth. And Andrew Morton is cashing in big time. The BM will get a lot of garbage stories out of this new documentary and I’m sure they’ll try to tie Haz and Meg into it somehow. Wonder when this new documentary be released?
Im thinking at the same time as season 5 of the crown. I think that is set to be released in 2022.
I think people more and more are making the connection between Diana’s experience and Harry’s, so it makes sense for Netflix to double down on it–interest in one feeds interest in the other in a kind of symbiotic symbol of the damage created by the monarchy.
I agree, this makes total sense. We need to talk loudly about what was done to Diana and hopefully it will help some of those on the fence or casually picking up the ‘evil H&M’ vibes from the BM will start to see the light.
I have always been torn about Diana. I can’t help but feel she chose to enter a marriage with a man who was in love with another woman. She seemed to have poor taste in men across the board. She also had a number of lovers too, but it is overlooked. I am skeptical that after all these years after the interview, all this subterfuge surrounding it comes to light. I hope this does not turn into unsavory revelations about Diana, or Prince Harry. The royal family is on shaky ground and I think they would have no problem throwing a dead woman under the bus- with the bonus of taking Harry with her. The whole timing of this is suspect to me.
I LOVE this. Will definitely be watching.
In some sense, I do feel kind of bad for him. He spent SO much time and effort rehabilitating his and Camilla’s image so that the public would support, or at least wouldn’t mind if they got married. To have that all undone by one season of a television drama is probably super frustrating, lol. And the coinciding very public falling out with Harry really didn’t help matters either.
But I remember hearing during the Diana episodes of You’re Wrong About that Charles and Diana had come to a better, more amicable place as exes in the short period of time she was alive post-divorce, so I do sympathize with him somewhat on the unfairness of the drama of their awful marriage getting dredged up and relitigated after so much time.
I mean, he wouldn’t have had to spend so much time and effort rehabilitating their image if they both hadn’t been so completely awful.
This wasn’t a situation where the married couple grew apart and he fell in love with someone else, that would be understandable at least. Even the false narrative that she was his true love all along is better than the truth.
This was abuse and manipulation and they both took part in it.
And he has capitalized on her death to continue the gaslighting narrative that Diana was spiteful and mentally ill and that’s why she did everything she did.
And even despite all this I may have felt a bit of sympathy for him because yes, it was long ago and maybe he’s changed, but his endangering of his own son and enabling the abuse of his pregnant daughter-in-law has erased any sympathy I had for him, honestly.
Youre exactly right, @Maria. Theres a world of diff between “spending years rehabing one’s image” and paying penance for wrongs committed.
Affluenzers dont hv to pay for their wrongdoings and Charles is the ultimate affluenzer.
Both he and his mistress-wife did Di dirty. And no justice came of it. In fact, the opposite. They benefited immensely by Di’s death (way to get rid of a problem!) and the fickle memories of humans.: “okay it was a long time ago lets forgive and forget.”
Um…no! Not for those who seek justice.
Altho, hvng thought abt it, it wd not be far-fetched to say that C&C are indeed paying somewhat of a price for wht they did to Di. Consider: he might never sit on the throne (as Di predicted, btw); and even tho theyve spent years and a fortune rehabing their image, theres never a day tht they dont receive public reminder & opprobrium in some way shape or form, for wht they did to Di.
Maria
I’m between William and Harry in age so I never saw the whole Diana saga really unfold.
You have to see it visually to understand and thank you Netflix for that 🙏.
I was actually ok with Camilla. I was told and read things, but you never get the full picture. Then with How they treated Meghan and Harry’s revelations you really see how twisted the truth that’s told to you becomes.
Charles also made it sound that she was the Great Love which seems absurd to me because he saw a lot of other women, some he was serious about, another rejected his proposal. He was involved with Dale Tryon who was his other married mistress. It was not as if Camilla was a childhood sweetheart of Charles and they reconnected after both divorced. She was involved with Charles through his marriage to Diana, one way or another.
To the extent that I can feel bad for Charles, it’s because it was clear he wanted to marry Camilla but that wasn’t acceptable to his family so he felt he had to marry Diana. That sucks no matter who you are. After that, though, it seems his ego and general entitlement made the situation even worse than it needed to be.
He never wanted to marry Camilla and she never wanted to marry him. She didn’t even want to divorce Andrew Parker Bowles until he insisted.
He rotated several women as mistresses through his marriage. Not just Camilla.
Camilla actually went after Parker-Bowles like a heat-seeking missile. Charles was more of a fling and she certainly wasn’t the only woman he was seeing. They’re aristos and even today their somewhat lax style of sleeping around continues without too many raised eyebrows.
Let’s also not forget Camilla was not his number 1 mistress. Kanga was one that made Camilla extremely jealous.
Revisionist like to say Charles and Camilla were a forbidden or not approved of love, but Charles had and has others. Camilla fulfills her role and they have separate residences.
APB turned a blind eye to the C and C affair. He was involved with other women including the one he eventually married. But he could not tolerate being called out as the “betrayed husband” with Charles publicly confessing to all and sundry he was involved with Camilla. ANd promptly wanted to divorce Camilla.
How they were as exes in the weeks/months before her death mean nothing when you look what happened in the days, months, and years since Diana’s death. Charles’ activated his preferred biographers and royal reporters to drag Diana through the mud. Penny Junor made loads of money off her numerous biographies about Charles where she stated numerous times that Diana was “damaged”, needy, and prone to tantrums. Robert Johnson did the same as well.
So, don’t ignore what has happened SINCE her death because for the LONGEST time, Charles has been allowed to rehabilitate his image, all the while desperately trying (and failing) to do the same to Diana’s legacy.
There’s a documentary about how Charles’ PR guy, Mark Bolland did his job to rehabilitate them.
Bex, and now we’re hearing how “damaged” H is. I would think they would realize that this will not stand today. The BM doesn’t frame their narrative now, and we have SM and global news organizations to report facts. I would hope that PC will figure out he needs to keep quiet when the documentary, etc., are aired. It would probably even help his imagine if he verbalized that he can’t change the past, but can only forward from now. It’s not going to happen, but he can’t keep ignoring the elephant in the room.
@PLUMS To me, all it shows is that Tampon thought he got away with what he did. And he perhaps would have, had he learned from the past and protected his son grandson and his wife. He did not do that. He went out of his way to allow them to suffer the abuse he used against Diana and his chickens came home to roost. All his PR work down the drain bc he didn’t learn the lesson. He keeps making the same mistakes and this is hat those mistakes cost him. He could have definitely won the PR game he fought hard for had he simply protected his son. But he didn’t do that, and the universe says we will all reap what we sow.
I don’t feel the least bit sorry for Charles.
I can’t wait for this new documentary. The press is going to attack Harry for this because he has a Netflix deal.
If the trolls even try to go there i will be ready with the clapbacks. William is working hand in hand with the people that made his own mothers life a living hell (the UK tabloids) so they need to shut it.
Go Netflix! Now, do an in-depth doc on Andrew.
Oooh, I could get behind a behind the scenes look at ALL of the “lesser” royals. Let’s dig into Andrew, Edward, Anne, the Kents, the York Princesses, and the Phillips Kids, etc. Also spin off to include the German and Greek connections to both sides of the Mountbatten – Windsor Family.
Time for Charles to mend his fences with Harry and Megan. That would be the only story that mattered. If he decided to be a loving, understanding and caring father rather than jealous and petty he could rehabilitate his life and show that being a father to Diana’s son is what matters.
This 100% – reconciling with H&M would solve so many issues for the RF. I don’t know that, at age 72, Charles can suddenly become a loving, understanding and caring father, but he could say a couple of kind words when his new granddaughter is born.
this won’t happen charles is so sett in his ways ,nothing will change that . instead of having emotional support from his wife. he ran away to be alone. which makes me question what kind of marriage does he have .
I think its more William and Kate than Charles. They don’t want H & M back. Maybe they want Harry back without his wife and children, a broken man, so they can put him under their wing again and get him being their 3rd wheel again but they don’t want anyone to make peace with both of them.
It seems the traits of being loving, caring and empathetic have been surgically removed from the Windsor DNA. They wished Archie a happy birthday earlier this month, but it had to have only been under duress. Not one royal house, CH, CP or BP wished H&M a happy anniversary. Instead, they TRIED to hijack their big day by releasing a barrage of UNINTERESTING news about other members of that klan. Bea’s pregnancy trended for a hot minute – a nano second. They announced a new THANK YOU tour of Scotland for the Bully and his consort, and I think Bulliam got a covid shot.
They are the same petty, malicious band of grifters they have always been. Charles is hopeless.
@Chill
While every thinking person wd recommend this as the direction in which to go, it wd require getting rid of the habits of literally 10 generations for Charles to do wht u suggest. Aint gonna happen.
The heirs NEVAH! admit to wrongdoing or apologize to anyone. Forget apologies….they NEVAH! evah! initiate any conciliatory overtures to those they consider to be beneath them or not as important as them.
Which is why, for example, we never hear of the Cambs sending holiday or birthday greetings or gifts to H&M or anyone else in the family. But bet ur life theres always talk of the opposite and outrage if theres no indication of it happening; in the wet dreams from the RotaRats abt H and Bullyiam reconciling, the overture NEVAH! originates from Bullyiam, always Harry.
So….mending fences wth H&M? The initiative is gonna hv to come from Harry, not Charles. And being a loving father? Charles doesnt know wht love is.
I would never trust Charles again if I were Meghan. I guess Harry grew up in that swamp and there’s probably some residual brain washing he would have to overcome, but Meghan saw and bore the brunt of the choices Charles, William, and Elizabeth made without the longstanding family love to cushion those blows. I’m glad she and her babies are out of their reach now. I hope Harry is strong enough to resist any of the major guilt tripping the white media will lay on him if Charles or William ever decide to publicly attempt reconciliation.
the thing is charles stop paying for security for Harry and his family. the same way he stopped paying for Diana. he had to know by taking away that security he will cause their deaths. but still did it . he was raging. and his 2nd wife to be had no care in the world .if she is in his ear , she would have said you can’t do that to Diana, and later his son Harry. so i guess Camilla doesn’t have much input in what charles do ,
Now we can obviously argue the morality over making another Diana documentary but from a corporate perspective it makes sense why Netflix wants to cash in. 60th birthday this year and next year is the 25th anniversary. Both major milestones so I would expect more documentaries – not just from Netflix
I’m loving this. And I’m loving that it’s all coming up again at the tail-end of the Queen’s reign right before he succeeds.
Those tapes…….whew. 6 more hours! They could do a documentary every few years about this! And I’m sure Andrew Morton is pleased bc this will drive more people to his book.
So my husband who doesn’t give a crap about the royals watched the Netflix doc. He was left feeling utterly depressed at Diana’s life. And he compared it to “that other new princess (Meghan)” and now thinks royalty is a a sham. Lolol.
Charles should be worried cause if a doc can sway my husband into caring about the royals he’s got a problem.
Excellent, this is the sort of PR we need to finally get rid of them and spend our taxes where they will do far more good (or even any good at all).
It’s surprising and not that he wanted a girl. Surprising because there’s ample evidence of fathers over the decades openly expressing their wish that they’d had a son instead. And not, because I imagine he thought a girl would feel less “spare” to William than a second son would, maybe from something he saw as a child with a younger sister and younger brothers.
Charles isn’t great but having a wish for a baby’s gender isn’t even on the list on bad parenting things he’s done.
It it makes it all the more apparent that Charles wanted out after the heir and spare. He could have tried for a daughter with Diana. She talked of having a daughter. Apparently he was done with Diana and did not want to try for a girl with her. She was still in her early twenties.
This is Netflix support to Harry and Megs for the attacks they received this week over Dax podcast. Lolololol. I am loving Netflix.lolol
Lol they got so mad over Harry’s one hour podcast interview and there were how many hours of Diana revealing way more than Harry ever has. We’re all of these tapes released after Diana’s death?
THose tapes were never meant to see the light of day. They were meant for Diana to practice her speech but she got to talking to settelen…Since he had the tapes after she died, he aired them.
Just saw pictures of Camilla and Charles in Northern Ireland and it’s disgusting. The way C&C treated Diana was horrible. And it’s their own fault. I don’t pitty them at all. Diana will alwaaays be there, her life, her death, her legacy and sons and the aftermaths of it all.
And now Meghan and Harry’s treatment will also chase the monarchy forever!
That clip was heartbreaking.
In every photo, Camilla’s posture looks like she is trying to wrap herself around Diana.
It is very sick and gross.
They were gaslighting her into oblivion. How awful to pretend to be this young girl’s friend while destroying the marriage before it even starts. They were in their 30s and knew what they were doing to her.
Camilla even helped choose Diana and played the married friend of Charles and she had a husband of her own and they had two small children. She would host C and D on weekends.
its ok. no one need to do anything. karma has a way of making people pay for their bad deeds. just sit and watch it unfold. evil people never wins.
Camilla knew Charles loved her, so she felt she can do as she wants , which she did. the queen ad her mother loved Camilla and her husband. Diana was nothing to them ,except to give birth to a heir. Charles never loved Diana. she was used. maybe Diana was not that smart as 14 yrs old are today . where one can smell deception. she had to know Charles didn’t love her when they was engaged, when he said whatever love is .. but she went on with it and married him. william /harry was not born out of love, they was born to secure the monarchy.
Diana told Morton she thought Charles loved her. And she confessed she loved him. She shared her thoughts with Morton on that tape, saying that she looked over at Camilla and thought well, that’s over. The Queen Mother even helped Charles and Camilla cheat on their spouses, she lent C and C Birkhall (there is a picture of them leaving the residence together while both were married to others. Then when the PBs divorced she saw Camilla as a threat and would not receive her. Diana said Harry was born out of love or so she thought, she told Morton they were the closest they’d ever been while she was pregnant with Harry. But Charles later confessed to his biographer he never loved her.
This is the danger the monarchy has created: their treatment of Diana is increasingly associated with their treatment of Harry. Diana was beloved in the U.S., and so is Harry. The monarchy has handled the entire situation so poorly, it is unlikely they will recover.
It doesn’t have to recover. They sort of own the BM and parliament would have to push a lot to the side and act as a single unit to abolish. Until then this trashy, racist, financial leech of a family will carry on.
Meanwhile, they’ve manipulated laws so their private wealth is secret and growing.
Bm will call for Harry to be stripped of his titles if he doesn’t break connections with Netflix over what they will call an attack on the rf. The same rf who couldn’t be bothered to say happy anniversary mind you.
Also I am old and remember Diana saying that Charles wanted a girl right around the time Harry was born. I don’t think that was a revaluation.
They cannot strip Harry of his titles without opening up a can of worms, no matter how much the BM wants it.
Also, Harry and Meghan have a contract.
And if they strip him of his ducal title ( They can’t unless he commits actual treason), they will revert to Prince Henry and Princess Henry (which will 100% be Princess Meghan in the US)
So they could try but it’s not going to work out for them. Media would forever refer to them as Prince Harry and Princess Meghan
LOL
I dont think Netflix care as much about Charles as they do about the Royals and the Culture Secretary throwing shade at a pretty well researched drama. Everyone who lived through the divorce and the aftermath knows it was pretty accurate, and as with the entire 4 seasons, was based pretty closely on things that were documented in biographies and the press at the time. If the Royals had just STFU and if Oliver Dowden had done something about the culture sector being 9n its knees instead of wasting time dissing Netflix when they had just invested £2bn into British programming, Netflix wouldnt have doubled down.
The most heartbreaking thing about that video is Diana in her red coat, crying at the airport. They thought it was because she was going to miss Charles while he was in Australia and NZ for five weeks, but really, as she tells us, it was because he took a call from Camilla right before he left and she understood what that was all about. The close up on her face, she was so YOUNG. She looks lost and devastated. She was a kid. What they did to her was appalling.
I didn’t watch when it was on recently but having seen the trailer above I really hope I can see it. It’s heartbreaking to hear her version of events on all these things we saw play out publicly (and those that were behind closed doors).
I’m so excited about this! I have pretty much run through the Windsors, Diana in her own words, even the Hulu documentary. So I need some new content. I always felt they could make more out of the Morton tapes.
Diana really is someone who grew more beautiful over time. Once she got out of that “button and bows with a hat to match” phase, I think she really was stunning.
As I’ve said here before, I’ve never understood Diana’s “beauty.” To me, she was always British horse-faced, pony faced as a girl, horsier as she got older. Maybe you had to be alive during her prime era? Or white?
Anyway, she was better-looking than the other royals, certainly. And she was clearly very kind and compassionate, which is always more important than beauty.
Well you are entitled to your opinion. And I stand by mine and I’m certainly not white, although what that has to do with anything, I’m not sure. I’m sure you were trying to make a point though.
I never got a horse imagery from Diana. I thought that she was absolutely stunning inside and out. Her inner light shone through.
Many people thought Diana was beautiful, it’s not a unique opinion.
The Windsors have that look Diana did not.
White? You have to be white to appreciate her beauty? I’m white and I think loads of black women – even those who aren’t “classic” beauties – are gorgeous. Furthermore I was an adult during her era and remember being mesmerized by her looks. Diana had very unique features, there was nothing generic or bland about her beauty but she was riveting. Add to that her natural charisma and inner goodness, she was the total package.
Part of it is simply that she was being compared to British aristocrats and the Windsors – it’s not hard to be a stunner in comparison. And I’m sure there was more than a little bit of stretching the truth for the sake of the fairy tale, I’m sure.
But I think a great deal of it was the charisma. Sort of like Bill Clinton, not really a looker but could charm entire auditoriums of otherwise very buttoned-up middle-aged middle-class women AND men.
nope. she wasn’t stunning. she is just a high class woman who married Charles. and the world was focus on her. the future queen. i seen so many beautiful women and handsome men. but its whats inside that person that counts. one can’t live with a dumb beautiful/handsome person. we need content . we need a working brain. not someone that thinks they are a painting we should admire. but its useless. when i saw that Diana in her own story , i said hold up. did she think of her children, same i thought about Charles. none of them thought about their sons. Diana do have a special face that no one can copy. she is not a grace kelly sort of beauty.Camilla is not a beauty, but she matched Charles brain wave. there is no devotion of love between them, they live different lives and meet up for couple events . the excitement of cheating with her died when they got married.
People magazine did a story on Parker-Bowles filing for divorce from Camila and for some reason, I remember it clearly, even the pictures. They had quotes from ppl who knew them and her kids were devastated and the whole article read that it was a such shock and Camilla didn’t want the divorce.
Diana was still with us at that point and I was like, huh? How can one marriage be expected to survive and not the other? I think I get it now. That arrangement works for some royals and not others (cough, cough)
Charles in his efforts to give “his side” messed things up. He thought it would be best to name Camilla. Which backfired and forced the PB divorce, it was an open secret among their set but Charles told the world about his involvement with Andrew Parker Bowles’ wife.
this story makes no sense. why will she keep on seeing Charles when her husband was living in London? he also had many other women, while he was married to Camilla. don’t know what benefits he got out of it , but he clearly didn’t love her. and Camilla was having sex Charles , so she didn’t love her husband. her children knew Charles, her son is Charles godson. i guess they saw more of Charles then their own father. also remember the 2 other married women Charles was seeing. he wrote them sweet letters of their devotion to him.
with all that stupid love, the man don’t even live with camilla. he couldn’t even lean on her when his father died. such a great love he has, and yet he decided to run away and be by himself. his wife is like a nobody.
I don’t think Charles sees much of the Parker Bowles children and grandchildren. I think APB spends a Lot more time with them than Charles. Camilla kept her own residence, Raymill and she sees her family via her first marriage there. The media said Charles did not want children around a lot. So she entertains them at Raymill. I would not say that APB and Camilla did not ‘love” each other. Camilla when her children were still young took up with Charles again. Her children did not know all until perhaps that tape of C and C was aired. Laura Parker Bowles allegedly disliked Charles and would scold him when she answered the phone and he was asking to speak to her mother.

harry didn’t understand adult lives at the age he was when his mother died. i doubt harry and william thinks its ok for their wives to step out on their husband , or Charles should step out on their mother with a married woman, but Charles was with 3 married women.. William is more like his father. he can’t stay with one woman. he was a cheating before he got married.
