Here’s Jenna Dewan at the Academy of Motion Pictures Museum Gala Saturday night. She’s in a Self Portrait outfit that looks like a jacket/bodysuit paired with floral print tights and platform shoes. This is really bad! Did she get talked into wearing this, or does she think it looks good? The Chanel perfume bottle purse is kind of cool. Does it open down the middle, like you screw off the top and then the sides open up? I’m really wondering about the logistics of that.
Cher was also wearing a bizarre look. She was in a Dolce & Gabbana suit with leopard print bell bottoms and a black and white jacket, corset and hat. I feel like Cher should trade Jenna her pants for Jenna’s purse. If anyone can go pantsless it’s Cher.
Sarah Paulson was in a sparkly kind of shapeless Armani gown that did nothing for her. Holland Taylor’s Armani suit is so much sharper. She definitely got the better look.
Laverne Cox was fit for the Oscars in this flowy pleated deep v-neck Johanna Johnson complete with a capelet. She looks so glam and gorgeous and I love her hair.
Adriana Lima was another one of my favorites in a gold metallic strapless Nicolas Jebran with a high leg slit. This looks like a dress for Cannes and I love her sleek styling.
Regina Hall in a seafoam green Edmond Alison with cutouts and fringe. I love her but this is ice skater fug!

Lily Rabe was in a dippy polka dot empire waist Carolina Herrera with a bunch of big bows on the neckline. She’s pregnant with her fourth child, they just made the announcement the day of this gala. Her partner is actor Hamish Linklater, they have a four-year-old daughter and a one and a half-year-old child together. Lily also has a 14-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

And Regina may have been more appropriate at the Met Gala with that ensemble.
As I pick apart ladies who look fit and I need to lose COVID weight and get in shape. The irony is not lost on me.
It’s A-Okay. You aren’t critiquing their bodies, you are critiquing their clothes. Which are definitely VERY BAD, except for Laverne’s and Ariana’s and (maybe) Holland’s (the bottom of those pants is pretty horrible).
Jenna’s romper outfit looks exactly like the one that Kristen Stewart wore at the Venice Film Festival. Guess Kristen was done with it; I like it styled better w/out the lacy leggings.

I know you’re trying but that outfit Regina is wearing wouldn’t be appropriate anywhere, not even at the rodeo where she obviously picked it up. She deserved better.
Cher, God bless her, almost makes me want to believe in her get-up, but no.
And Laverne Cox should have walked away the minute someone mentioned “complete with a capelet.”
Here’s my scenario.
It’s a busy hotel and those gold trolley things are everywhere with cases stacked and garment bags hanging. Somehow the bag with Jenna’s pants ended up being taken to another room and she had to improvise. Meanwhile elsewhere in the hotel someone else was left wondering where the knock-off Chanel style tweed pants had come from.
Jenna’s outfit looks more like a Cher outfit tbh. I don’t think I would ever put all of these pictures together as the same event, unless you told me it was a Grand Ole Opry meets Love Boat tribute or something. Lots of wacky stuff going on.
Lily Rabe is married to Hamish Linklater? He is brilliant in Midnight Mass. They are both talented actors. Having said that… I’m not a fan of her dress, but she looks happy in it and, really, that’s all that counts.
Her dress wouldn’t be so bad if they took the ribbons off the neckline.

The self portrait is a straight knock off of Chanel. I actually have that Chanel in my closet. Which makes the little bag ironic (but cute).
My kid has been watching old scooby doo cartoons and it made me miss Sonny and Cher, so I’m happy to see Cher however kooky she wants to look.
Chers outfit, it’s called “power clashing” (as coined by Jack Donaghy in 30 Rock), and she’s doing it because she can!
Yeah, but somehow the clashing has to work. It can’t just be random. Even Cher looks sad in this.
I was thinking all of these looks were nuts, until I got to Laverne, who looks like a glorious angel. She is stunning and has such a great red carpet presence! Lily’s dress is kind of cute, but the rest of them are just terrible.

Yea, Cher is Cher. She can show up in anything and still be THE QUEEN. Jenna is a beautiful woman but this looks just terrible on her.
I think the less said about Jenna’s outfit, the better. I honestly thought it was a Channel reincarnation.

What happened to Adriana Lima’s face?
Jenna’s outfit is a no for so many reasons which is a shame because she once wore a beautiful soft yellow Carolina Herrera dress to the Oscars when she was married to Tatum that I still remember because she looked stunning in it. Adriana Lima looks incredible but why is she there? I don’t understand when events like this and Cannes Film Festival has all these models who aren’t part of film projects? It kind of takes away the attention from what you are there celebrating.
