We’ve been inundated with gossip about Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson since Halloween. Just in the past week, Kim and Pete practically got wall-to-wall coverage when she visited him in Staten Island over the weekend, and there were widespread reports that Pete and Kim would spend some of the Christmas holiday together. Kris Jenner’s Christmas party is still happening – I guess? – and Kris invited Pete. But someone would like us to know that Kim isn’t actually going to spend Christmas with Pete.
Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson will celebrate Christmas apart amid their burgeoning romance.
A source tells PEOPLE that after enjoying some time with Davidson, 28, in his native New York, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum, 41, will be spending the holidays with her kids.
“She had a good trip to New York,” the insider says. “Pete took Kim to some of his favorite places. She had fun. Kim is celebrating Christmas with the kids and won’t see Pete.”
But while they won’t spend the holiday together, Davidson is currently in Los Angles with Kardashian and a second source tells PEOPLE he plans to stay there until Christmas.
My first guess is not that Kim and Pete are cooling off, but that Kim is making some kind of concession to Kanye West. This is their first post-divorce Christmas (the divorce isn’t finished, but you know what I mean) and Kim is probably balancing Kanye’s feelings, the kids and her family, while Pete is getting pushed aside in the drama. Speaking of Kanye’s feelings, Page Six had this interesting story:
Kim Kardashian and new flame Pete Davidson have been sticking to group dates in hopes of keeping Kanye West from spiraling, a source tells Page Six.
“The group outings are to spare Kanye’s feelings,” says an insider. “Kim doesn’t want to do what her sister [Kourtney Kardashian] does with Travis [Barker], the non stop PDA photos.”
The source continued: “[Kim] thinks hanging out in a group makes it seem more casual. She wants to keep Kanye from being hurt and devastated.” West has been open about his mental health struggles, including bipolar disorder which he says causes him to be “hyper-paranoid.”
Kim and Pete haven’t been doing group outings entirely – they’ve done one-on-one dates, but yeah, they do double dates and Scott Disick has tagged along a lot. Speaking of, Kanye just “broke up” with Vinetria, that model he was seeing. Only I don’t really believe that they were actually serious about each other or anything. Anyway, it sounds like the Kardashian-West clan will have a chaotic Christmas.

I understand that sometimes as you get older your type may change,especially since it hasnt been working for you. But im not buying this ,i seriously dont even think Kim likes to be in relationships unless their is omething for her (Ray J,Reggie Bush, Kris Hump to raise her profile, Kanye: even higher profile and kids) now she is set and too asexual and self involved to have a meaningful partner.

Interesting! My reaction to this article was damn she has a type, but now it’s an emotional type rather than physical one. Kanye had bipolar, Pete has borderline (the two conditions are often comorbid and share characteristics)

Generally Chritsmas is about the kids and being with your family at Christmas. No surprise that Pete won’t be involved, doubt she’s introduced the kids to him, they just look like they are fooling around and having some fun, doesn’t seem serious.

I dont follow the Kardashians but I feel like she would be a mom who wouldn’t bring a lot of random guys around her kids? And this has a lot less to do with keeping Kanye calm and more with not confusing the kids. (And maybe partially about Kanye not spiraling, which isn’t her job to handle)
Huh, it seems sweet that Kim doesn’t want Kanye to spiral, but it sounds more like emotional manipulation to me – like a way for him to be constantly intruding in her life and having her think about him.
Actually, it’s worrisome that a source mentioned that KK is double dating so as not to cause Ye to spiral.
Why openly allow talk about the mental health of your ex/ father of your kids on a gossip site?? That’s awful.
Also, taken at face value: if you feel constrained in current/ future relationships because you think your behavior might cause your ex to mentally break down, that isn’t healthy! Get counseling, because you’re only in control of your own behavior.
Yeah, that’s my point. Not healthy. It’s a manipulation on his part (like how Mom might have a “heart attack” if people don’t do what she wants) and it’s a fixation on her part, to be worrying about his reactions when she should be getting on with her life. Plus, leaking her “concern” to the press is kind of nasty. To me, it’s dueling narcissists vying for attention and I don’t know that therapy can cure narcissism.

I don’t understand. They were just together in NYC. Pete was spotted yesterday driving Kim’s car and shopping at a jewelry store in LA. He was outside the store smoking a cigarette (didn’t know he smoked?). Why fly to LA if you aren’t spending Christmas together? Why fly across the country for just a day or two. I can’t imagine being as insecure as she is. Her life must be exhausting. I hate playing games and refuse to participate in them in my relationship. There’s no way I’d be able to play games with my ex, my current “boyfriend” (I don’t believe for a second this is anything more than a publicity stunt), and the public at large.

Sounds like someone heard that the PR rollout for this fauxmance wasn’t completely going to plan, so they pivoted back her devoted single mom who still wants to be thoughtful about her ex’s feelings story line. I do enjoy seeing how deep her competition with her sister goes with that dig about her not having the kind of PDA Kourtney does, however. It’s even funnier when you think about how sexless Kim really is. She cosplays emotion.

If Kim really cared about Kayne’s fragile mental state, she and her mother wouldn’t keep leaking stories about him wanting to get back with Kim; sabotaging his relationships with his new muses by leaking stories about Kayne and the women, and exploiting him during his manic episodes for headlines, storylines, and access to the fashion world and White House(Kim was willing to overlook Trump’s bad behaviors in exchange for a photo-op in the White House).
Kanye in concert called out how he wanted Kim to run back to him. Unless kris and Kim forced him at him point to say that then it is Kanye who is putting it out there that he wants to get back with Kim. Also, the people that buy the Kardashian products could care less if Kim has liberal or conservative views. Everyone already knows Tristan is going to have many more paternity lawsuits do nothing new there and they are not being sued in the astroworld disaster so I doubt they care what happens to Travis. People will stop blaming Kim and Kris for exploiting men with mental illnesses when they stop leaking stories about how Kim keeps her relationships with Pete/other men lowkey because she is “concerned” about Kayne’s mental state. When Kris and Kim do things like this, they are 100% responsible.
It’s Kris and Kim who are orchestrating the “Kayne wants Kim back” narrative. What the press fails to address is what Kim is saying to Kayne behind the scenes and how she and her mother keep trying to sabotage his new relationships. Notice that these “Kayne wants Kim back” stories never appear when Kayne isn’t having a manic episode?
If the people who buy the products that Kris has in Kim’s name don’t care if Kim is liberal or conservative, Kris wouldn’t have arranged the interview with a conservative journalist and Kim wouldn’t have stopped criticizing Trump after she was allowed to set up a staged photo-op in the White House.
If Tristan’s paternity lawsuit wasn’t a major issue for the Kardashians, then Kris and Khloe wouldn’t have spent all those weeks leaking stories about how Khloe was hurt by Tristan’s cheating, spinning that Khloe was more than just one of Tristan’s sidepiece, and creating fake accounts about the baby and in Nichol’s name. Notice that Kris stopped leaking stories about Khloe and Tristan after Texas dismissed his case?
Travis has 2 children with Kris’ daughter and Kylie and Kendall were at the concert(Kylie posted a photo of an ambulance in the crowd and many eyewitnesses talked about how Kylie was surrounded by a lot of body guards so there was no way she wouldn’t have known what was going on), so Kris does care about how the Astroworld lawsuits will impact the brands that she has in her daughters’ names. It was never leaked that Kylie was cheating on Travis with Drake, that statement came from one of the fake accounts that Kris and Khloe made in Nichol’s name because contrary to your statement, they really do care what happens with Tristan’s paternity lawsuit.
