Adele is a complicated woman. She seeks and finds a great deal of privacy, but then she also wants to be publicly demonstrative with the guy she loves. I think this is what’s happening at a fundamental level with Rich Paul. She wants to be in love and keep the relationship on lockdown but she also wants everyone to know about it and speculate about it. When she wore that huge pear-shaped diamond on her left hand at the BRIT Awards, she knew there would be engagement speculation and she did it anyway. Then she played too-coy about engagements and baby plans on Graham Norton’s show days later. Reportedly, Rich Paul was not happy about any of it (especially since they don’t actually seem to be engaged).
Then Adele and Rich didn’t even spend her birthday together – he was in Miami, she was seemingly in LA. A suspicious People Magazine story cropped up days later, with a source insisting that Adele and Rich are still together but that they spend a lot of time apart because of work. Adele knew that we were talking about how she and Rich are probably going to break up soon. So she decided to post a bunch of photos of him on her Instagram… which definitely makes it look like they’re moving in together, or that they’ve bought a house together? So… she wants us to think that, she wants us to believe they’ve moved in together. Or is this just another “engagement ring”? I don’t know. I really don’t.

There is something about Adele that I find so enduring about her, I watched her grow up from her debut album. All she wants is what any of us wants…to be happy and have a partner you connect with and love and respect. I hope that she has that with Rich but if not him I hope she finds that with a wonderful man. I hope that she doesn’t allow her clinginess to get in the way of her relationship. Speaking as a former clinger you gotta let go and let things unfold naturally.
After she paraded him around and made their relationship part of her album release promo, and then everything apparently melted down only months later…she has to control the narrative.
If they’re happy together, she should just relax and not try to overcompensate for rumors.
I love that Brit Awards dress on her.
My other theory is that all of this extra stuff with Rich is because her or her team have not come up with a justifiable answer as the why she canceled her sold out Vegas residency one day before showtime and still has not rescheduled.
Something is happening on the profession front because this is the 1st time there are been come cracks in the armor.
I feel like this relationship isn’t working and she needs to let go.
Well, they’re both posing with (supposedly) the house keys, so who knows.
Still, I still think about all those people out all that money for travel and lodging for her cancelled show(s), and yet, crickets from her.
If the relationship was not working they wouldn’t be buying property together. A lot of people just made assumptions based on nothing.
He literally did something for her birthday so I honestly don’t think there’s anything wrong, people got used to seeing them together and then suddenly there’s a silence because she’s fairly private and he seems to be as well. She just seems to be extremely happy and wanted to share that. Nothing more nothing less.

@Dizza I didn’t even understand the breakup speculation just because they were quiet? I think people forget he also works. He owns a sports management company, it’s been a very busy time for him with the NFL draft and whatnot. Not everything will be shared publicly.
@shai this is just bad gossip in my opinion, all because he wasnt seen at her party. He has a very important job that doesnt allow him to be in one state at all times. The reaching by some people is hilarious

It would be cute if it was just a pic of them in front of the house but the fact that the rest look like a Vanity Fair shoot is strange.

I think she’s just madly in love with her dream man and…a bit dramatic. You know that friend or friend of a friend whose highs are the highest of the highs and lows are the lowest of the lows? From these last months I get the sense that that is Adele. That personality is great gossip fodder among people who don’t know her (re: that rumor she dropped the show to save her relationship), but not at all a true reflection of what’s happening in her life.
This whole Adele/Rich Paul thing just reeks of desperation on her part. Did she buy Stallone’s house? Guess I’ll have to hit up Dirt.
VERY interesting that we are once again focused on the status of her relationship rather than whatever the hell is or isn’t happening with her Vegas shows non? The engagement ring stunting was an OBVIOUS attempt to change the narrative right after she’d cancelled her shows and I think that is exactly what is happening now. I wouldn’t be surprised is Adele herself was the source of the breakup rumours.
