Josh Duhamel kind of fell off my radar after he and Fergie announced their divorce 2017. I guess he’s been doing his rom-com and action movie thing and he dated Eiza Gonzalez for a little while in 2018. According to earlier coverage, Josh met and began dating a 28-year-old former Miss World America named Audra Mari, then he and Fergie finalized their divorce in 2019, and then he proposed to Audra. They got married a couple of weeks ago in North Dakota and made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Josh’s new movie, Bandit.
Josh Duhamel is in marital bliss!
The actor and his wife Audra Mari made their first red carpet appearance since getting married in Fargo, North Dakota earlier this month, attending the premiere of the actor’s new movie Bandit on Wednesday at Harmony Gold Theatre in Los Angeles.
On the carpet, Duhamel looked dapper in an all-black suit. Mari, a model and 2016’s Miss World America, was equally fashionable in a black dress with a high-low hemline and exaggerated shoulders.
The newlyweds, who tied the knot on Sept. 10, got cosy as they stood arm-in-arm while posing for photographers.
When asked about married life with Mari, 28, Duhamel, 49, told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m lucky. I’m very, very lucky.”
In regards to their wedding day, he added the “most memorable moment was seeing her [in her wedding gown.]”
Bandit — which is based on a true story — stars Duhamel as Gilbert Galvan Jr., who escaped a Michigan prison and went on the run to Canada where he robbed 50 banks in three years. The film will be released in theaters on Friday.
Following their wedding, in an interview with Vogue Australia, Mari shared that their special day almost did not happen.
The morning of their nuptials, the actor ended up in the emergency room after injuring his back the night before. She told the magazine he had been “pulling some wild dance moves on the party bus,” which caused a slipped disc.
“Cue the cortisone shot and let’s get married!” she said, remembering her reaction to the unanticipated ordeal.
She and Duhamel did go on to get married on schedule, tying the knot in North Dakota on the rooftop of the area’s Jasper Hotel.
After their wedding, they rode in the back of a cool, vintage, red convertible. Fun! So, unsurprisingly, Audra is 28 and Josh is 49. Um, they look better matched than, say, Dane Cook and his young fiancee. Josh definitely looks older than Audra, but it looks more like a normal large age gap and not like he started dating one of his friend’s daughters. It seems like they met when Audra was already in her mid-20s (Leo would never) so that’s a plus. But, um, if your groom slips a disc just from dancing the night before the wedding, maybe he’s a little old for you? Anyway, it’s good he’s okay and they were still able to go ahead with their wedding. I’ve never been to North Dakota, but I’m sure they had a beautiful wedding there. They look happy in their red carpet photos. They’re quite a tall couple.

Welcome to the joys of having an older husband 🙄.
He looks younger than his age, she appears older than hers. Isn’t it hard enough to find love that one has to worry about what others think of the age gap? So judgmental. They are well matched, to me. I wish them the best marriage can offer.
I love that he got an old man injury right before marrying his significantly younger bride (who shares the story with a laugh).
Aging is not for the faint of heart.
I never understood that saying until I entered my late 40s. Just like I never understood my parents’ saying until I had kids. And yes, aging is definitely not for the faint of heart.
Congrats to them. Hope she enjoys life with an older man. Taking care of an older spouse is not for the faint of heart either.
Eh, he’s 49. I’m in my mid 50s and don’t find aging too terrible yet. But my parents who are in their 80s, THAT is not for the faint of heart. They were mostly fine until recently. Getting good sleep, exercise and watching your nutrition can go a long way.
I had a ‘slipped disc’ (actually, bulging disc) injury hit me while out on a run in my mid-30s. That can happen at any age; although I admit, this makes an amusing story for them.
No. The only large age gap I will not side eye, is an age gap when both parties are over 30. Because you’ve both lived some sh*t and you’re both aware of the imbalance and transactions.
But when these two met, she would’ve been 25 and him 46 and famous. There’s way too many elements of imbalance.
It just looks more acceptable because Josh is super hot. Picture anyone else and it would be obviously gross.
He looks like your friend in college with a hot dad who still works out.
You say, “I bet he was REAL hot back in the day” because, while good looking, he 100% still looks like the dad of a girl in her 20s.
They are quite a tall couple aren’t they? I hope he’s good to her and she to him but especially him to her.
Seems like a sweet, chill wedding.
I honestly didn’t realize Josh Duhamel was still around and working in any high profile stuff. I don’t think I’m the demographic for whatever it is he’s been doing, though I will always have a soft spot for him for being one half of my favorite soap super couple that got me through junior high.
Aaaaannnnnnd, I just googled this movie and Mel Gibson was the first person listed on the cast. Hard pass.
Whew, their kids are gonna be some tall amazons if they have any. But yeah, age gaps (of 21 years) is always suspect when one party is still in their 20s🥴!
Yep. Age gaps when one person is their 20’s is no bueno.
Huge age gap, but ok, girl is 28 and not 19. I wish them luck and happiness
Sorry they look like father and daughter to me. Even though he’s easy on the eyes and has probably had some good work done, I still think he looks his age while she looks younger than hers. It’s still 20 years and doesn’t pass the 1/2 + 7 test.
Nailed it. Their wedding pics 100% look like father/daughter.
Dude’s hot, but I for sure think less of him now.
Totally agree about them looking like father and daughter.
He was 21 when she was born. He’s a creep. Sorry, not sorry.
He wants more children. He said very clearly that he wanted to marry a young woman in order to breed more kids. He didn’t even want to marry or date a woman in her 30s. He will get her pregnant ASAP.
That’s gross. Women closer to his own age can still have children.
Oh look, just 21 years between them, how fun and surprising!
If I had married a hot 49-year-old at 28, my husband would be 59 now. That thought makes me very happy to realize I did not marry a dude who could be my father. I continue to live a happily single life. Cheers to them!
Fully agree Emmi. My mom is 12 years older than her boyfriend (started dating at 52 and 40) and even that is hard, she’s retired, he isn’t… they can’t share their life the way she’d like.
I dated 10-20 years older in my twenties and I am SO grateful I had kids with a guy who was 30 (to my 34) and not 50.
My friend married a man 20 years older. She’s now 65 and super fit, enjoying hiking, traveling, eating out, etc. Her husband is 85, and very infirm. She does a lot of stuff alone, and then has to go home to take care of him. It’s tough, and she almost never travels now.

My cousin who is a month older than I am married a much older man. I think it was a little smaller of an age gap than this, maybe 18 years. Still, when they married she was in her 20s and he was over 40. He looked VERY young for his age and always did until he died suddenly about a year ago.
It was a good marriage. Her parents, my aunt and uncle, were not happy about the relationship at first but they grew to like him. But still, I remember just not being able to relate at all. Here was someone my age, a cousin, with a man basically old enough to be her father. Her kids grew up knowing their Dad but I do think it’s sad that they lost him so young. I think the oldest is about 24 and the youngest just finished high school.
Anyway, yeah, this is not surprising. Josh is still really good-looking and who knows, maybe he’ll be like Tom Selleck or something and stay that way for a lot longer. But he needs to remember his age or he’ll keep injuring himself.
She looks a bit like Mandy Moore in the header pic
Josh has said he wanted more children, ever since he and Fergie divorced.
I hope they are happy and have a good life together.
Hahaha, he wanted children so he married one?
Hmmm, last I checked you can have children with a woman in her 30s, 40s, 50s even, depending on certain methods.
He had a gigantic pool to choose from yet he chose to date a 25 year old despite being 46.
Yeah. I see him differently now.
I’m not defending marriage to someone 20 years your junior, but it is disingenuous at best to state that you can have children in your 40’s/50’s without significant interventions that can have devastating effects on the mother’s future health. It’s notable when people get pregnant naturally/easily past the early 40’s, and by their 50’s, all but a very few women are in perimenopause at least.
Also, as a 45 year-old mom, you couldn’t pay me any amount to have another baby. I’d wager that most women in their 40’s/50’s have older kids like I do and no desire to do diapers and night-time feedings again, or they have chosen not to have children. There may be a few unicorns out there who want babies at that age and are able to have them, but I’d imagine it a vanishingly small pool.
You can screw your back up at any age. My husband injured his back so badly when we were in our late 20’s just playing softball…
28 is definitely not a child, and neither is 25. It’s interesting that sex is the only area in life where infantilization is seen as a good thing for adults under 30. Not so much when it comes to taxes, fines, child support, jail time, of full-time work.
