It is beyond appalling to watch the Susan Hussey debacle unfold in real time, with Buckingham Palace completely bungling their reaction to the incident from November 29th. To recap, that Tuesday, there was a daytime reception at BP, hosted by Queen Camilla. The whole point of the reception was to bring together activists and advocates attached to work about domestic violence and violence against women. Ngozi Fulani was there representing Sistah Space, a non-profit dealing with violence against Black women specifically. Within minutes of Fulani’s entrance at the reception, Susan Hussey – a long time lady-in-waiting to QEII and an emeritus LIW to Camilla – began her racist interrogation of Fulani.
When Fulani reported Hussey’s comments and behavior the next day, the palace went into ass-covering mode rather than accountability mode. Instead of calling Fulani, apologizing to her and giving her a platform for Sistah Space and her own experiences, the Palace lied about contacting her. They pushed out Hussey and issued a statement about her unacceptable behavior. And that’s it. That’s all that was done. Since then, Hussey has been protected and coddled by the media and the palace while Fulani had to fend for herself as a wave of online and print-media attacks were launched against her. The palace could have and should have stepped in within a day or two and issued a public statement to at least make a pretense of shielding Fulani. They did not. So the attacks and smears continued, and now Sistah Space is temporarily shutting down.
A charity led by a black woman who was repeatedly asked where she was “really” from at a royal event has temporarily stopped its work over safety. Sistah Space was thrown into the spotlight when its founder, Ngozi Fulani, said she felt she was “interrogated” by Lady Susan Hussey at Buckingham Palace last month. It says it has now “ceased many” of its operations over safety.
Ms Fulani has said she suffered online abuse after speaking out. Lady Hussey – Prince William’s godmother and the late Queen’s lady-in-waiting – has since left her honorary role within the Royal Household.
In a statement on its Instagram page, domestic violence charity Sistah Space said: “Thank you for the continued support and messages. Unfortunately recent events meant that we were forced to temporarily cease many of our operations to ensure the safety of our service users and our team. We are overwhelmed by the amount of support and encouragement and look forward to fully reinstating our services as soon as safely possible.”
Ms Fulani said earlier this week that she, her family and team had been put under “immense pressure” and received “horrific abuse” on social media.
[From BBC]
As Fulani said last week, this is what happens when Black women report their abuse, this is what happens when Black women stand up for themselves against racist pigs. It’s completely disgusting that Buckingham Palace still hasn’t done one f–king thing to help or protect Fulani or Sistah Space. I’m not saying that a personal statement from Queen Camilla would stop the harassment of Fulani, but I do think it would minimize the nature of the harassment and abuse. Besides that, it would just be good optics and these people only give a f–k about the optics. Instead, the palace’s silence is their complicity, once again. Over and over. They’re telling us who they are: they fundamentally do not believe that Black women should be protected. Queen Camilla was so eager to take credit for all of this work against domestic violence, then Camilla stands idly by as one of the activists invited to the palace is inundated with abuse over reporting the racism she suffered AT THE PALACE.

I am hoping the Commonwealth Nations are taking note of this and it will cause them to accelerate them dumping KC3 as King and that whole Monarchy system.
I really do think HM are going to give us a big shock and surprise at the ending of their Netflix docuseries.
What’s happening to Ngozi enrages me. I don’t like this family at all!
I wish I had hope for this but I don’t! There were countries joining the commonwealth or asking to just a few months ago. For trade/business purposes nothing is going to change.
The reality is black and brown voices are being silenced in the UK and besides Harry and Meghan who are using their HUGE platform to try and bring change. Most other high profile black/brown Brit’s are silent. Where are the actors/actresses/businessman…they all have products/movies to selll so they somewhat stay neutral.
Harry and Meghan are in the frontlines but at a HUGE cost especially to Meghan.
All the other celebs still care about their image or can’t be bothered.
Harry and Meghan already said they’ve lost a lot so they are willing to be in front for the fight. I wish more people would join them…
As far as surprises at the end I think it will be more about where they are now and finding joy like Meghan said in her previous interviews. I think Harry’s book might be more specific.
Friendly reminder that it’s not the job of black/brown Brits to speak up against racism, the responsibility should be on white people to speak up.
The “high profile black/brown Brits” you mention as being silent may be doing so because they know that what is happening to Fulani may well happen to them: that they risk their livelihoods and their safety, as well as those of their loved ones, if they speak up.
The onus of stopping racism is not on the victims of racism, but the perpetrators and on those who benefit from it.
Every single high profile white Brit who is staying silent is complicit. Every single white Brit who has received an OBE or any of those other high profile awards from the BRF has a responsibility right now to speak up against this racist abuse.
I was gonna say where is Idris , John Boyega, Cynthia Eviro, Naomi Harris, Thandie Newton and Ruth Negga on all this. I mean black American actresses in the 50s-60s and beyond marched and lent their fame to Civil Rights and racial progress even though Black people are a minority community in America a country much larger than the Whole of the United kingdom. The black community in the UK seems to be lacking
Australian here, and have been frothing at the mouth to abolish the monarchy for decades!
@DK- Beautifully stated!
@ Cait C – I urge you to read, and even reread DK’s comments.
Expecting others to take risks — including the possibility of extreme violence — to ameliorate systemic problems that they, themselves, had no role in creating, is an enormous ask and one that shifts responsibilities from the perpetrators to the aggrieved.
I kinda agree with minty…
Then nothings going to change because right now white men are dominating from government to media in the UK unchallenged.
All these celebs have a large fan bases. People like Femi. Lorraine k etc just don’t have enough of a platform…
I feel like TOGETHER these major celebs can see movement same as what happens in the US..
It just feels like people in the Uk have accepted welp it will always be like this so whatever..
something has to change.
I mean you just had Lewis accept a OBE whatever. Many more have been to the palaces recently…No major black celeb/politician etc supported ngozi..she was left out to dry.
Blythe and DK – I 100% agree. Want to know the role of an ally? It’s speaking out about racism and educating others so that the victims don’t have to.
How despicable are these people? Their fans on DM would defend them until the end, no matter what they do, or don’t do.
Our Prime Minister definitely wants a republic but politically-speaking, requirs good timing. We have only had this government for just over six months. Then we’ll need to ha referendum, and that will take years, I can’t wait to be rid of this family.
The RF is gonna be livid when they stay silent then watch and listen as Meghan hosts a thoughtful podcast with Ngozi as the featured guest.
Yes, if they are not a racist family to use Peggington’s own words, then both BP and KP should be issuing statements condemning any and all abuse against Sistah Space. Instead they’re spending time promoting Kate’s ridiculous Christmas concert. Such vindication, for what it’s worth, for Harry and Meghan.
You think that “both BP and KP should be issuing statements condemning any and all abuse against Sistah Space”? What are you, crazy? That sort of defense is only reserved for Kate’s wiglets and Botox, and Camilla’s reputation as a mistress. Do you really think that a woman who founded an agency to work with victims of domestic abuse deserves similar advocacy? Come on now. The value of such agencies is only to indirectly reflect the glory (of their own hard work) onto Camilla. And if, by reporting the harassment she received at the hands of Susan Racist, Ms. Fulani has to look over her shoulder for safety and Sistah Space has to go underground for a while, well then that will serve as a warning to others to not even think about reporting discrimination or bias against the royal family. See how well that works?
Debbie, you are, unfortunately, 100% correct. If that event were about supporting the women who help other women and not about making Camzilla look “good” (which is impossible), both Chuckie and Camzilla would’ve immediately issued statements supporting Sistah Space and its founder. They would’ve visited the place with cameras rolling, they would’ve made a public speech, and they would’ve made a personal donation. Instead, silence of the loudest kind. H&M may make a quiet donation but we’ll never hear about it because it would only make things worse for Sistah Space.
They didn’t do it to protect Meghan, what makes anyone think they’d do it for this lovely woman either? Do you think these people who are racist arse-coverers to their hollow core are ever going to learn or change? And head of the Church of England, no less. They are probably still so miffed that this even happened during Earthshit and they had to tell Hussey (one of their nearest and dearest) to stand down.
It’s so upsetting and wrong
☆100% Correct!!!♡
This is unfair and wrong. And this is all the that horrible royal families fault. Solely at the feet of Camilla and Charles. They are the reason that horrible racist godmother of Will was employed and the reason why their racist fans have hounded Ms. Fulani into closing their doors.
The monarchy must be abolished. And everywhere the royals go. Every bullshit visit ANY of them go must be met with boos and eggs being thrown. It’s time to protest them all.
We should also find out the best way to donate to Sistah Space.
You can donate at their website, just use an online converter to figure out dollars to pounds if you are using a U.S. credit card.
I donated to them the day the story came out/ and I kept (naively) waiting for a story to come out about how they were flooded with donations and support. Imagine what the “queen” could have done – visited the charity, met and done a photo op, and DONATED a pittance of their obscene wealth. I mean isn’t this camillla’s pet cause?
Worthless racist “queen”.
Showing their asses constantly.
They are disgusting.
Ariel: same. When I donated I saw their goal & how close to it they had gotten; which is to say, not very. I felt very disheartened, because I thought for sure there would be such a feeling of empathy for Ms Fulani & the work she does that donations would just pour in. And now to learn they have to close some of their services for safety? That’s just heartbreaking. I feel so bad for her, and for all the women who need the help of Sistah Space.
I would like to see them swap the eggs for water balloons 😜
We all need to find ways to support Ngozi Fulani and Sistah Space, she is a very brave and courageous woman . I will be donating to her charity.
Meanwhile, very much not a racist Susan Hussey, who allegedly “goes to church with a lot of Black people”, hasn’t made a statement demanding people back off and leave Fulani and Sistah Space alone.
Literally no one attached to the royals (or formerly attached in Hussey’s case) has defended or protected Fulani and Sistah Space. They created an abusive problem and then just walked away as the Black woman futilely tried to fend off the ravenous hordes of white abusers.
If I didn’t already loathe the royals, *this* would have done the trick.
This is sickening. Sadly and tragically, it also feels to me like Same Old – Same Old. Here they go again, exploiting people, primarily POC, to support their obliviously insular sense of superiority. This has been one of their primary economic and cultural exports. For centuries.
I’ve long understood that intellectually — sort of, but the very public persecutions of Meghan and now Ngozi Fulani have made this feel so deeply personal.
I’m thinking, now of the old song-poem by Gil Scott-Heron: The Revolution Will Not Be Televised. Decades later, it might turn out that what’s now being televised— worldwide— eventually becomes the catalyst that chips away and ultimately crushes the influence of the monarchy and all that goes with it.
I came here for the pretty clothes. It’s wild to me how much pain and disaster this one small family and their minions has roiled in the short time that really COULD have been about simply welcoming a lovely, educated, warm-hearted woman into their family with just a modicum of politeness.
I am right there with you. I cannot believe there is not a single person around the *brand new* king who can see what a horrible light they are casting on the royal family and England with their utter silence.
Good.
Everything you just said @Blue Nails Betty! This is all so infuriating.
I’ve always said that Camilla doesn’t really care about domestic violence. The Palace gave her that platform to improve her image especially amongst women. Camilla should have invited Ngozi for tea and visited Sistah Space already. Charles should have issued a statement that BP is going to adhere to the equality and discrimination laws and undergo diversity training. The Palace’s action is proof that the neglect and abuse that Meghan suffered was real.
Yes, exactly. Here’s violence against a woman happening in a blatantly public way, and Camilla sits by, silent. And it’s all because a woman of color dared tell her story about the royals. Hmmm, sounds familiar.
Yep. Camilla is a perpetrator of domestic violence against Diana. She helped Charles gaslight and emotionally abuse Diana, and did it with glee. Imo Camilla’s the kind of woman who enjoys tearing other women to pieces.
Emily C yep 🐴 👸 consort
I never believed she cared about domestic violence either. 💯 It’s trying to get women on side. She’s a known gaslighter and emotional abuser. She mocks women in public (Meghan). She seems to have the sense of humour of a toddler. She has never appeared to care about anyone except her own family and Tampon and getting and keeping her position. An abuser taking on dv is the ultimate gaslighting..
I’m sorry but a Camilla visit to Sistah Space or invitation to tea would only further exploit them to provide RP for Camilla and BP. As was the reception in the first place.
Another in a long line of using people of color as human props. I would love to see BIPOC to go hard no-contact with the BRF. No participation, no photos, refuse royal requests to visit their organizations. Refuse to participate in any commonwealth-related events. Show the world they don’t need the RF who has done nothing for them.
I beg to differ. Camilla who is in her 70s and from a very upper crust background unlike Kate, has tackled more meaty issues. Camilla is less well educated than Kate but vastly more intelligent. Kate should be the one organising big events on important like Camilla did, but she makes no impact at all, her minders must be at a lost with what to do with her.
There is an interesting article in the Observer today saying that the important part of the Harry and Meghan Netflix special is how race and racism hasn’t been dealt with in any real way in Britain up to this point. That black people and their families largely do not speak of the racism they face because they know what they will receive for doing so will be too painful
The Susan, Lady Hussey, racial attack demonstrates the point the paper makes. Ngozi spoke of racial abuse she endured in a royal palace from a member of the royal household. No question it happened. No question she should have spoken about it. No question the royal family should intervene to protect her and the work she does directly. They caused this problem.
Since the initial abuse, she has been called everything under the sun, treated terribly, been threatened, faced awful further racism and misogynoir on a vast scale
We have a huge racial injustice and racism problem in the U.K. and to speak of it seems to be one of the worst things we can do.
It is unforgivable that the royal family have not made a direct statement in support of Ngozi and her work requesting this racial abuse end
Had it been Kate’s botox we’d have had a statement by now
I can see Archewell quietly stepping in to help Sistah Space and Ngozi. I don’t see them doing it publicly or announcing anything because they don’t play that way. But I could see them making an anonymous donation.
ITA, Heather. Archewell will do something. It’s incredibly damning behavior by the palaces. Kaiser is right. All they care about is their image and here’s a prime example of racism in their ranks and it’s been silence. This is how they dealt with the attacks on Meghan. Black women are not to be shielded and protected.
Right on all counts.
Yep. Dis to the mofo gust
So, it’s not like the Firm was unaware that Hussey has a history of judging women and WOC in particular, yet they gave her an emeritus role and coddled/coddle her while allowing the rats and social media to hound Fulani and Sistah Space into hiding. Their vile, racist, misogyny/misogynoir knows no limits. Shame *clang* shame *clang* shame.
Cue mass honors for British POC, because all the RF ever do when they’re accused of racism is basically say, “nuh-uh! See!” and trot out some tokens, rather than address the toxic culture. To address it would only further emphasize that they are part of an inherently racist institution based on a belief that their own bloodline is extraordinary. They can’t risk the public thinking too hard about that.
I know that not all Brits are racist. Obviously. But the fact that Ms. Fulani and her staff are being harassed while performing vital services for WOC, to the point that they need to suspend operations….it’s not a good look, for the entire country. I’m not even Black, but it would certainly put me off visiting. Considering that one of the monarchy’s supposed purposes is tourism, you’d think they’d at least give a shit on THAT level.
It is definitely a very bad look for the country, their monarchy, and the British media that they choose to focus so intently on Kate’s concert or how Netflix hurts Charles’ feelings rather than the very real damage their own people caused this woman and Sistah Space (and the people who need this resource).
Buckingham Palace hired the Daily Fail creepus Maximus, Tobyn Andreae, as their spokesperson. C-Rex and Camzilla could ABSOLUTELY stop a great deal of the harassment by voicing their support of Ngozi Fulani and abhorrence of Susan Hussey’s behavior at a minimum. They have a slew of “royal correspondents/ experts,” who we learned in Harry and Meghan are mouthpieces of the Royals. They should have been and be doing far more, and it’s clear that their racist, domestic abusive sympathies lie with their former servant and not Ngozi. In fact, at a minimum their lack of defense can be read as a passive attack on NF.
You’d think this would be an easy win for Camilla, in particular. A statement of support, a call, a visit with Ms. Fulani would not only give the media a new narrative, but it would show support for an organization that is doing good work in a space she claims to care about.
If I were a comms professional working for KC3, you’d have to duct tape me to a chair to stop me from calling up sistah space and trying to arrange a visit. Charles has spent more than a decade trying to rehabilitate his spouse in the public eye – why wouldn’t his people jump at this? It truly boggles the mind.
I can only conclude that the palace is not only fine with what’s happening to Ngozi Fulani for speaking out, but that they see it as a fitting punishment and hope her example will discourage other POC from doing the same.
“I can only conclude that the palace is not only fine with what’s happening to Ngozi Fulani for speaking out, but that they see it as a fitting punishment and hope her example will discourage other POC from doing the same.”
Same, Jay, same. Firing SH was not necessarily a bad *first* step, however, everything that has happened since then has not only undone any point to firing a racist incompetent, but also emphasized where the royals beliefs and sympathies lie.
@ml; UK papers are saying she resigned, was not fired, so really no punishment.
Julia K, I had understood that SH’s was a “forced resignation” or that SH was “forced to resign”. And that SH resigned -after- Ngozi not only spoke up on social media (not mentioning SH’s name), but also had witnesses who defended her.
Yeah, at this point, it’s deliberate. They want the abuse of Ngozi to serve as an example of what happens when you speak out. Unless they all of the sudden show support, it’s tacit approval.
Agreed. How can they be this bad at their only job? Answer: Racism.
Oh they’re bad at their job for sure. But deep down, or likely not so deep, they want the press to take down Ngozi. That way, if any other person faces similar racism at a palace event, they will think v carefully before making it public. They might not want to face the type of abuse Ngozi is facing and thus say nothing. Which benefits, who? The palace. It’s deliberate.
Camilla is the most shocking, to me, because you are right, Jay, this is an easy win for her. She’s doing less than Cannot and Willnot’s generic “listening and learning”, and I didn’t think it was possible to do less than those two.
The bullying and threats just reinforce how entrenched racism is and how necessary for it to be called out publicly. I’m worried for Sistah Space and the women it serves. But the palace doesn’t have a problem with people being silenced through fear and intimidation. Why would that change now?
I’ve come to realize because of this that the royals LIKE these optics. This is exactly what they want. Hear me out. They know that most of the people who still support them are pretty damn racist themselves. It’s part of the monarchy’s attraction to these people that this is a hierarchical institution composed of all white people who, no matter what they say from time to time, have no interest in tolerating, much less supporting, Black and brown people. If the palace did more to show explicit support for Ngozi Fulani THAT would be bad optics and would undercut their appeal to the racists who love the royal family. I really think this is where we’re at here. It’s disgusting. But we see it also in the treatment of Meghan. Looked at in this way, everything makes more sense.
The British royals in 2022: The racists are us!
Yeah you’re right! Camilla t practically threatened them in a column for today saying the family should not go woke. There was also the bill introduced to the and remove Andrews title though they conveniently put Harry and Meghan in the article as clickbait when it had nothing to do with them. The PM or palace doesn’t support it so it went nowhere but….warning shots are everywhere.
I think Charles does want some progress but how much? Not enough…
Charles wants to be seen as making progress toward inclusivity, he doesn’t really want to live in an inclusive world.
In the US the republicans have basically taken on that same tactic to appeal to a diminishing but loud and violent demographic.
The American racists and Republicans have now decided they love the British royal family too! Apparently, it was a big mistake for us to get rid of them. In fact, the royals may be secretly hoping H&M double down in calling out their racism. It’s such a winner for them!
I’m guessing because they figure if the giant orange one can’t be elected due to improprieties he can always be made king…
You’re probably right. That says a lot about how little they really care about violence against women- or violence against black women specifically.
^yes that “lady” Hussey does look like a Komodo dragon. Racists shouldn’t be invited anywhere!
That’s who you meant right?
I feel awful for Ngozi but also for the people who she helps/helped through her organisation. What a loss for everyone. I truly hope she’s able to restart operations as soon as she can. And the fact that the palace have done nothing to tell their attack dogs to back off.
“Allies” keep substituting WOC for Black. Sistah Space was created because Black women face a very specific type of anti-Black racism, sexism and gaslighting when we speak up about our experiences of emotional and financial abuse, sexual and physical assault, trafficking, and domestic violence. Ngozi Fulani is being targeted because she is an unapologetic Black woman truth teller, who also created a sanctuary for victimized Black women, not because she is a woman of colour. This racist targeting means her organization may be prevented from assisting Black women and children in crisis this holiday season. It’s heartbreaking.
Thank you for calling this out. This is a very important point that needs to be made explicit- much of this push back, and certainly the degree of it, is anti-Blackness at work. I am especially devastated that the Black women and children her organization serves are being impacted.
It’s not a surprise that the RF are racist and insular, but where is the British government in all of this? Where are the police? They’re the ones that can actually do something about protecting Sistah Space.
I’d want the police to stay far, far away from me if I were them. Considering how misogynistic, racist, and violent cops so often are, and the Met police were found to be in particular. Cops have a huge rate of perpetrating domestic violence.
Just donated. Hoping that they keep getting tons of donations.
What’s happening to N’gozi is disgraceful. I hope in the future this really gives black people pause about interacting with the BRF at all. Nothing good will come of it, period. The RF as an institution has no upside and needs to go.
I hope what happened to Ngozi gets brought up every time Camilla pops up to “advocate” for abused women unless and until she addresses this. And not just what happened with the Hussey woman but this ongoing abuse of Ngozi through the trolls and the UK media. I also hope Sussex Squad makes Sistah Space a beneficiary of a future fundraiser.
Who’s gonna challenge her when they’re all falling all over themselves to be palace adjacent? Camilla will continue to do what’s she’s doing with no pushback….happily smug and arrogant. Ick
The people that keep them in power think just like them so Camilla and company would be dumb to make a statement since they would lose their support. The people that don’t like already don’t so they are working to keep in the good side of their supporters.
Accountability is not a word that exists in the Royal Family’s vocabulary nor a concept in their entitled inbred brains. They are the OG colonizers. They have abused, diminished and exploited persons of colour–especially Black people–for centuries and they continue to do so in present day by using Black organizations and persons as props in their bullshit photo ops to promote themselves. They will not do anything to apologize nor make reparations in any manner, no matter how small and empty a gesture it may be. The fact that they had no shame peddling the blatant lie about apologizing to Ms. Fulani is everything you need to know about their utter lack of respect for Black people. Thanks to Meghan and Harry, people around the world are taking note of the British Royals and media and their continuing racist abuse of Black people. Hopefully the Royals’ days are numbered and they will finally be held accountable in all the ways that matter most to them for the endless harms they have perpetrated and perpetuated against persons of colour.
Just donated.
So listen up Chuck and Camzilla and your palace comms people if you read this…this is NOT a good look. So far your reign has been one colossal misstep after another. You could do one simple, decent thing — make a big donation to Sistah Space — but it’s obvious you won’t. Why is it so hard for you to just be decent f*cking human beings for once instead of sticking your royal f*cking heads in the sand yet again? Your hypocrisy is disgusting and it makes me wish fervently that my country (Canada) wasn’t part of the Commonwealth.
Oh Jaded, that’s what’s on my heart too. They could show any break with their slavery colonizing a$$hole ancestors and they never do so meaningfully. It really is a huge machine to demonstrate to all those they hold beneath them what will happen if you dare speak the truth. I think the article referenced above, written by David Olusoga in The Guardian, shows the bravery of continuing to speak. He does note how the cesspool of twitter became worse, because of his truth-telling in Harry & Meghan. Thank you, Jaded, reading your post and not feeling alone is a salve. One I don’t always realize I need until I see is.
Clearly Never Complain only applies to anybody the Palace machine tramples on while their client tabs and so called royal experts whitewash everything they say and do.
Imagine being both SO rich and SO cowardly that you outsource your complaining!
I don’t know why anyone expects the Palace to stand up for or do anything here. They don’t for actual relatives.
The absolute ridiculousness of the people on the FB page was astounding. These people are entirely convinced that this was a set up – that it was recorded and entirely staged. The fact that no such recording exists is completely inconsequential to these people, as is the reality of racism. I’ve had many conversations with non-Americans about the strangeness that we discuss race here and while I’ve seen it academically, seeing these people just double and triple down on their racist beliefs AND the number of people who support those beliefs was an experience with its own gravity. I kept thinking “they know we can see them, right?”.
I’d be interested to know if there was a spike in donations to Sistah Space through all of this. I know I donated after seeing that mess. (*There is no insinuation/dog whistle here that funds will be mishandled or were wasted because of the announced hiatus.*)
Completely agree. Someone I follow occasionally on Twitter in the U.K. is convinced this was a set up to make the RF look bad right before W and K visit to Boston. Ms Fulani should apologize, is what the gist of the tweet said.
WOW. It reminds me of that piece in the Netflix special where Meghan speaks onstage about MeToo. The royals don’t like to be “controversial” meaning, they don’t want to alienate their racist fan base. So glad this institution is dying. And mark my words. They are dying alright.
Thank you for sharing this information. I donated too.
I’m just like, how the F are they ‘very much not a racist family’???? Can anyone please explain not complain me into comprehending how they are not being totally assfaced racists. This is absolutely horrendous news but I absolutely understand the need for safety is paramount. This is disheartening af. I hope and pray Ms Fulani remains safe.
I think we’re all missing one of the important (awful) pieces of this whole debacle – Sistah Space was THE ONLY SPACE LIKE THIS IN THE UK!!
It was the *only* domestic violence charity focused specifically on British women with African and Carribean heritage.
ONLY!!!
I’m so so upset about this whole thing, I’m feeling really distressed about it! This is such an important charity and space, and in going to the palace to be honoured for their good works they now have to shut down??? Even if just temporarily, having to shut down at all is beyond horrible.
Really really shows you how much the so-called “charity” done by the Royals is just purely tokenism and not to actually “be of service.”
They’re pathetic, I’m so disgusted with this family.
Honestly!
Is The Firm so stupid that they do not realize they NEED to put a stop to the hatred and threats against this organization?
Release a statement showing support for the charity.
Find a way to call out idiots everywhere that kindness and support for everyone is required.
The Firm is just unreal sometimes, ffs!
I hope this organization can reopen and continue its’ work safely.
This is sad for Ms. Fulani and Sistah Space. The rags are now claiming there was mismanagement in the org and calls for and investigation. That’s why they can’t do too much to Meghan; she is tied to the BRF by marriage and her two children are in the line of succession. But mostly, she is fighting back.
Girl they already tried to claim that with Harry and Meghan’s charities and ties.
They did it with Sussex royal then also archewell claiming they were broke.
They also tried to do this to One Young World after Meghan spoke there a few months ago. They called for an investigation into the CEO and her daughter for mismanagement who were kind to Meghan.
Harry and Meghan are fine but it’s people with Ngozi and these smaller leaders of charities/organizations that won’t be able to fight back against such onslaught. I really pray for her.
Camilla Parker Bowles was complicit in the domestic abuse of the Princess of Wales. To name her as the Patron of charities that address domestic abuse and violence is hypocritical. I am confident that Lady Susan Hussey’s attitude towards people of color has a long history of negativity. Her role in that drama was clear whether you accept the Crown as fact or fiction. She’s a staunch monarchist and will go above and beyond to defend that order of white supremacy. The scenario about her relationship with a church having a predominantly black congregation is a farce until I read a statement from the clergy or at least see some photos showing interaction. Our only image of Lady Hussey en route to church is in the car with the Queen. What can we expect from a royal who chose Angela Levin to write her autobiography or has close relatives in managerial positions in British tabloids? I’m disappointed in Charles. I didn’t expect him to be overwhelming. Still, I didn’t anticipate he would stoop this low in his reign before the coronation. I know the senior royals are on Karma’s menu. I only hope they are well-fed.
I’m too angry to say what I think about c*nts as miserable as the Rottweiler and that hook-nosed hussey (lol).
I did see a comment the other day that made me smile. It stated that Camilla should have a pastry named after her. After all, Queen Victoria had the Victoria sandwich named after her. It could be called the Camilla Tart, because Camilla IS a tart. It should be stale, filled with dried up sour cream, and covered in prunes. ha ha
