Rihanna welcomed her first child back in May. She’s been busy since then, preparing for the Super Bowl Half-time Show, working on new music in the studio, preparing new Fenty collections and shows featuring Johnny Depp (gross) and more. But over the past seven months, we still haven’t heard Rihanna’s baby’s name, nor have we seen any photos of him. A few days ago, a paparazzo apparently did get shots of Baby Boy Fenty, so Rihanna decided to ruin that paparazzo’s exclusive. She posted a TikTok of her very cute baby, plus she gave away free photos to Hollywood Unlocked.
People were upset about Hollywood Unlocked watermarking photos of Rihanna’s baby, but HU’s CEO Jason Lee tweeted: “Yesterday she FaceTimed me to tell me that paparazzi took unauthorized photos of their baby and planned to release them. So she said if anyone was going to put it out she wanted me to. She wanted BLACK MEDIA to be the one to do it since she wasn’t going to be given the choice. First, I’m honored they would trust me and kinda sad it had to be that way. I wish they were given the choice. Kids are off limits here at HU. I guess some folks don’t care.” That’s interesting – I think many of us expected Rihanna to post baby’s first photos on her Instagram, but I honestly thought people were respecting her privacy this year and that’s why there were no pap photos. It sucks that Rihanna had to do this, but I love seeing her baby. He looks so much like ASAP Rocky.

Saw his picture yesterday and he is the cutest, most adorable child!
She has annoyed and disappointed me of late but my goodness, that baby is SO cute.
When I saw the photos I just thought she released them to devalue any paparazzi photos that may come out like all celebrities do. I didn’t know that a paparazzi had already taken photos. Word probably got back to Rhianna that somebody was trying to sell the pictures.

Yeah, between her R Kelly shirts and Johnny Depp support, she sucks. Not to mention hanging out with Nicki and her rapist husband. Not to mention ASAP Rocky with several charges of assault against both men and women against him (don’t worry, Trump was very vocal in support of him). Dumpster fire all around. Sweet baby though.

Whatever you may think of any one particular celebrity, that feeling shouldn’t transfer to his/her child. They’ve nothing to do with anything, but as the HU guy said, they should be off limits. It’s a shame that Rhianna felt the need to do this to prevent a low life pap from profiting off her child.

It’s crazy how everyone is willing to give her a free pass for being a Depp supporter because she has a cute baby. A lot of people have cute babies. Does that mean they should not be held accountable for their shady actions? Internet can have short memory sometimes. Or maybe this is a classic case of pretty privilege. If that’s the case then it’s only matter of time before pxdo Zoe Kravitz regains her internet popularity. Yikes.
Anyway, I saw people suggesting that Jason Lee must have some serious dirt on Rihanna for her to allow him to post those pics. And I agree…I mean there much legit media outlets out there and she contacted this guy? That’s sus.
We can hold her accountable for her Depp-support in one post and fawn over her cute baby in another. Jason and Rihanna are friendly. Fits her pattern of being friends with somewhat shady folks, no? Everything is not a conspiracy.

This sucks. That adorable baby has a right to privacy, and apparently the paparazzi are gaining in power again. At one point it seemed as though Instagram devalued the pics enough so celebrities didn’t need to worry as much about the paparazzi’s power over their private lives.
I admit the first thing that flashed through my brain here was that RiRi might have something she wants to sell for Xmas and needs to rebound from the JD debacle, but vultures out for your kid is deplorable.
