While I was actively rooting against Austin Butler at the Oscars, I have to admit, I admire the fact that he took the loss standing up. He was gracious to all of the winners, especially Brendan Fraser. He dealt with everyone on the red carpet asking him where his girlfriend was too, even though he clearly said in multiple interviews that he wasn’t bringing Kaia Gerber to the Oscars. Austin and Kaia met up after the Oscars when they attended the VF Oscar party. She wore a sparkly Celine slipdress, he wore Saint Laurent (he also wore the same label at the Oscars). His pants are too high, but I enjoy his blouse. Kaia looks great. I’m glad that he wasn’t sulking – I hope he networked his ass off during this awards szn.
Riley Keough in Celine. This sparkly, patterned slipdresses were definitely the trend for the post-Oscar parties. She looks fine – I’m glad she’s out and about too.
Michelle Yeoh in Armani. I normally would have given her a solo post but I really disliked her party dress! I’m glad she won and everything, but this is meh.
Ke Huy Quan looked like he came straight from the Oscars, didn’t even change his tux. Everyone wanted to pose with him too!
Stephanie Hsu in a very strange quilted minidress. Like Austin Butler, I hope Hsu networked her ass off.
After wearing one of my favorite Oscar dresses, I was disappointed with Cara Delevingne’s Del Core party look. It seemed too tight and uncomfortable.

His entire face annoys me. And that fake Elvis accent that hopefully now that it didn’t win him an Oscar he will drop. He honestly reminds me of every try-hard, vapid, white young male actor I knew when I acted. They are all the same.
I like Kaia’s dress, although she seems to really have to do some exaggerated poses to do it justice. Michelle looks lovely and her dress is lovely too- very traditional and flattering. Cara’s dress is very nice in a muted kind of way, but standing over the vanity fair lettering makes her look like she has chicken feet peeping out from underneath the dress.
I liked Michelle’s dress, too, especially close up. She’s so gorgeous and I think the dress suits her.

despite being handed a career I feel for Kaia. she has none of the presence or grace or style or confidence of her mother and that has to suck. she certainly is pretty but it would be great for her to go her own way because i don’t think modeling is it for her. she always looks a little terrified behind the eyes.

Being a model and having Cindy Crawford as your mom is a lot to live up to. I have never believed that being a model was Kaia’s idea. Poor thing is posing so dang hard.
She looks exactly like her mom. She’s beautiful. I lover her dress.
Kaia’s great. Super nice. But she does resemble her dad Randy in his early modeling photos, same facial features, bone structure, and even the same shoulders. But I guess they have to bush up her brows like Cindy’s and put a pound of dark brown eye makeup on her in EVERY single photo and say “looks just like her supermodel mom!”. Which forces me to think, ‘nope, different nose, facial bone structure, different body structure’ ….when I don’t even like to criticize that way.
Kaia is gorgeous enough to be a model but she doesn’t have her mother’s charisma.
She’s tall, skinny and pretty. Her mother is stunning, has a figure and captivating presence. Kaia will marry and disappear.
I’m actually a fan of Cara’s dress, though the boning must be doing wonders for her cleavage. That definitely looks like it hurts, but I get the vision.
All I can say is Kaia is lucky with who her parents are, cuz whatever “it” is that makes a person a star, she doesn’t have it. She always looks like a child playing dress up way out of her league.
Cindy Crawford’s daughter’s dress does her chest no favors. It gets a thumbs down from me.
And Cara’s dress looks like her chest is about to pop out of it. I agree it’s a miss after the glamour she brought to the show.

Kaia’s Cindy resemblance is stronger than usual in these pics (without the IT factor). Her extensions at the back are way too bulky, they’re too high above her head. She looks like she’s gained weight, meaning she looks healthy vs looking like she’s starving and about to fall over in other pictures. Overall she looks nice, but interesting.

Kaia can put and pose like her mother all she wants but she will never be her or have the career she had. As for him – he has a vibe that grates on my last nerve. His career will be fine after this and am sure he will get another chance but lets face it he only got nominated as it was Elvis and Baz Luberman.
Kaia looks beautiful. She’s not a supermodel like her mother, but she seems like a decent, gorgeous girl in her own right. Nothing I’ve read about her has given me anything but a positive impression. So go, Kaia. Look gorgeous with that handsome boy.

Kaia looks beautiful, but some of the photos I see of her make me wonder if modeling is rewarding for her beyond the monetary aspect. Despite the advantages, I’d hate to have to grow up and navigate my 20s and early 30s in the spotlight as one of Cindy Crawford’s kids and end up modeling as a path of lesser resistance. I remember reading that Kaia did quite well academically in high school, like her mother before her, and I wonder if another line of work might ultimately fulfill her more.
Totally agree…the resemblance is jarring because on one hand they look almost identical and yet there’s something very, very different – the lack of joy perhaps? How thrilling would it be to see someone like her just nope out of the business and say “you know what, I’m going to medical school to become a pediatric oncologist”.

I actually like Cara’s dress. She just looks awkward wearing it, like it’s too tight or something? The problem isn’t the dress, it’s the fit. Cara is another one of the those women whose face (mainly her eyes) I just find mesmerizing.
I’ll be curious to see Austin Butler in future roles, not as Elvis. I just don’t have a huge opinion on him one way or another yet.

I love the after party photos because everyone looks so much more relaxed than on the red carpet! I like Cara’s dress, but it’s way too much for a party. Stephanie looks comfortable and laid back. I really like Michelle’s dress! It has the color that her ceremony dress didn’t.

Kaia and Austin look so uncomfortable together. Not like lovers. She’s leaning away from him in several shots and even when she leans in, he doesn’t smile or have any reaction. Maybe he was just exhausted from the long run of awards shows and she felt the need to pretend model and it didn’t feel right. Contrast this with Tom and Zendaya, who are adorable together.
Michelle looks great! I like her dress but I don’t think the neckline needs the necklace. The necklace she’s wearing in this photo was worn in her hair during the ceremony when she wore the white Dior dress!
She and her stylist figured out a way to get that necklace on her one way or another. I wonder if it’s a piece from her personal collection.
