Didn’t you think that the Prince and Princess of Wales would need a month-long holiday to recover from their exhausting coronation schedule? They had to work five days in a row! Well, make that SIX days in a row. Seriously, Peg and Buttons are working themselves to the bone this month. I can only imagine how many separate “events” will be counted in this work blitz. In any case, on the sixth day of keenery, my keen love gave to me: a pussybow at a palace garden party! On Tuesday, William, Kate and the Edinburghs hosted a garden party in sunny weather at Buckingham Palace.
Kate and Sophie both repeated blue dresses which they had previously worn at Royal Ascot (on different years). I remember Kate’s Elie Saab look from 2019 – I called it Edwardian cosplay at the time, and I can’t say that I like it more after four years. It is just so fussy, the combination of the high neckline with the bow, plus the lace and the tea-length skirt. It’s too pinched – one of those details needed to be edited out, probably the bow. Of course, Kate looks positively modern (for the early 20th century) compared to Sophie’s deeply unflattering ruffled catastrophe. I remember this look too – she just wore it at Ascot last year, and I still haven’t found a designer ID for it. No designer wants to claim it.
Since there’s nothing else to talk about, let’s keep talking about Kate’s style. She didn’t even bother styling the Elie Saab differently this time around – she literally pulled out the same pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps in silver, with the same Philip Treacy hat from her 2019 Ascot appearance too. I double-checked the 2019 photos – she’s even carrying the same Elie Saab clutch!! The only difference: the earrings. In 2019, she wore aquamarine-and-diamond drop earrings (which looked much better with the dress). On Tuesday, she wore blue topaz hoop earrings by Kiki McDonough. Who convinced her that a pale blue dress (with sparkles) needed matching silver accessories?
Also, why is Kate repeating an Elie Saab dress at the palace? I thought royals were only supposed to wear BRITISH LABELS. What’s that? Oh, I’m being told that rule only applies to Prince Harry.

They look so stuffy and stupid. The lot of them.
And those shoes look like they belong on someone from The Wizard of Oz.
I was coming to say the same thing. How stupid everyone looks. They look like bad costumes to a musical I never want to sit through. Kate looks like a villainous school marm.
“Kate and Sophie both repeated blue dresses”
Costumes previously worn as non-speaking walk-on extras from a bad episode of Little House on the Prairie???
@BayTampaBay That’s exactly what I thought too: They’re both serving Nellie Olson realness!
It really emphasizes how out of touch they are. They don’t live in a real world when the rest of the country is suffering badly.
It really looks like a costume. I always assume she dresses this way to differentiate herself from normal people. Meanwhile sofiesta is giving Laura Ingalls vibes. Ghastly.
Is Sophie trolling Kate? She is dressed in the worst Kate cosplay.
Who makes them take photos where they stand like nutcrackers at attention with social distancing space between them?! The warmest person on earth would look cold in this pose. It does them 0 favours given their actual demeanours
It’s the arms dangling at their sides and the spacing, but I agree with the Nutcracker description. Kate probably chose this (non-British!!) designer because the hat has a huge flower and it’s a garden party: theme dressing. Sophie’s dress (prairie) is theme-adjacent, but both the theme and the fit are off.
I think those “nutcracker” photos are when they first come out and they stand for “God save the King”.
@Ceej- I was thinking the same thing! It’s bizarre! They look like robots waiting for someone to flip a switch so they can come to life.
They’re standing at attention for the national anthem
I actually like Kate’s dress – it’s pretty for the occasion (fancy garden party). What kills the look to me are the shoes. She could have pretty blue slingbacks or pumps or even patterned for some flash. With that said, Sophie’s dress is just downright ugly and again with the ugly shoes.
@EM I agree with all of this. I actually do like Kate’s dress for this occasion (plus Ascot). Different shoes and earrings would make a big difference here. Sophie just looks awful. I can see wearing a dress you thought you liked but ended up looking hideous once. To repeat this monstrosity is just dumb. As good as Kate looks, I saw a photo of the two ladies (gentlemen cropped out) and they looked like Sister Wives.
Yes Sophie’s is horrific, and Khates…. at first glance I was all “hell no”, but looking at it up close it’s not so bad, however she does wayyyyyy too much Little House on the Prairie cosplay. Those silver shoes though?!
And why does William’s pants look so much more wrinkled and ill fitting than Edwards.
Sisterwives, is what I get.
It’s inappropriately sparkly for a garden tea party. The woman has no class or sense of occasion so consistently steps on the wrong foot.
@ [insert_catchy_name], yes, why is Bullyiam incapable of ironing his f@#king pants?? Such a “statesman” he is showing up looking like the slob that he is. Ghastly!! I guess you can grow up with all of the money, castles, and ponies to your hearts content and still be a slob!! The only difference is that his father is king, otherwise he would be living in his fathers basement still.
Agree, and Sophie needs a much more supportive bra than she has.
Amish evening wear.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just snorted my water! Thank goodness I am done with my coffee! I wonder if Peg is asking to switch wives tonight?? At least Sophiesta would chatter him to a deep sleep…..though Edward is smarter than wanting THAT in his house. He’s seen her claws up close.
It’s better than what Camilla wore to the last one. By the way, where is she? Queen Elizabeth attended every one of these things until she became too ill to do so.
Probably hiding out at Ray Mill with her dogs and a year’s supply of gin.
Best comment on twitter “Thank god Meghan doesn’t have to wear this sh*t”
The dresses are so so bad and those hats? Sophie the flowers in your hat are as big as your head! For why?
Thank you @Scooby Gang, I needed the laughs. Auntie Em wants her outfit back from Sofe.
Does it ever occur to you that you are criticizing an entire culture? People who dress and celebrate events differently than those to which you are familiar? It is not cool.
@Freida You’re referring to English Imperial culture? I think they’ll be ok. 😅
If these garden parties were in the US, 75% of the ladies would be wearing a cute shift or fit&flare dress (ala Lilly Pulitzer or Kate Spade) and if the weather was cool a cute cardigan with it. I think that is what is throwing me off. Kate and Sophie’s dresses seem decades out of fashion to me, but I guess they are right in fashion in London. Ladies’ hats are an art unto themselves. I usually think Kate benefits from wearing a hat but this one is doing her no favors.
Ghastly. That’s about all I can say.
They look like weather vane puppets!
Oh dear Lord. Frump and Frumpier! Those looks should come with warning labels…
K&W look soooo much bigger than E&S in that first photo, it’s comical. Kates head looks enormous compared to Sophie.
When I first saw the photos, I thought they had Kate standing on a higher step or podium, because, you know, she’s ‘higher’ than Sophie, but no. It’s just those ridiculous shoes. I also thought Kate would be really p*ssed at seeing Sophie’s outfit, because let’s face it, it’s pretty much the same, down to the hat.
It appears to me that Edward and Sophie have been positioned further back on the balcony from William and Kate. That could explain the perspective.
I had the same question @BeanieBean and @QwietStorm but when you look at their feet all four are lined up right to the edge of the step. Sophie and Edwards are small!
I remember the first time around my calling Kate’s dress the “Gatsby” dress, not because it resembles The Great Gatsby fashion, but because it looks like something from a period piece play. It still does. It’s pretty, but she looks like she’s wearing a costume. My feelings on Sophie’s dress haven’t changed either. She still looks like she’s wearing a sewing bag from 1983. But sure, this is a modern monarchy!…okay 😀
Shorter hemlines (around the kee) would have helped them both. That said, both dresses are terrible. (American Terrible, not “very”)
Sophie’s dress takes me right back to a wedding my sister and I attended. I wore a red dress with black piping; very simple is what suits me and what I like. But my sister wore an almost identical tress to Sophie, right down to the color, the frills, and the placement of those ruffles. I didn’t like it then and I don’t like it now.
*Kate and Sophie Frumo*
Off topic. How long will it be before Kate turns on Sophie for taking the light off her for a second and getting above her statin?
@AnnaKist, I believe it could be a while, as Sophie seems prepared and more than happy to grovel and be Kate’s lapdog if it means staying in good grace’s of the royal purse.
Kate’s dress is way too sparkly for an afternoon tea party and even more so, a garden one. The woman has no idea gow to dress properly for occasions and her lack of belonging where she’s trying to put herself is pathetic. A veritable parvenu.
And the two of them with Sophie with almost identical silhouettes and same hats tilted to the same side are nothing short of comical. Complete lack of style and sense.
They don’t pay attention to anything the Duke and Duchess of Sussex say or do, but they look so stupid trying too hard to coordinate wearing the same colors all the time now. Grow up.
These looks are so dowdy and aging. Like these are attractive women but these outfits make them look terrible. I don’t get British royal style’s commitment to looking terrible.
Even Little House on the Prairie looked modern in comparison.
It’s a nice color, but the dress itself is just awful, and so is the hat, which looks like an upturned plate anchored in place with an oversized flower. Particularly unflattering.
Gah. Those bloody hats. Useless and stupid.
They were about to go to a party and none of them could summon up a smile? Even Ed, who usually looks cheerful, isn’t smiling while posing with W&K.
They always have those serious faces when the anthem is played.
If that’s when it was the photographer should have been standing at attention instead of snapping photos. Seems rather rude to choose that moment.
Haha that top picture of the Waleses and the Edinburghs looks like something out of an Old West reenactment – like right out of Oregon Trail.
Very “Little House on the Prairie”.
I said that to my friend yesterday— that the Sophie’s neckline was giving off “teacher on Little House on the Prairie” vibes. Although I don’t even think they were quite so prim.
(Also I actually liked the teachers on LHOTP and don’t want to insult them)
Come play with us. Come play with us, Peggy. Forever… and ever… and ever.
@SCOOBY GANG
OMG! I LOL It is so perfect!
It’s not my style but I think Kate’s dress is quite appropriate for a palace garden party, and very much her style. I also wish she had styled her accessories differently to freshen it up.
Why on earth is Sofiesta dressed like a sister wife? If I were Kate, I’d be furious at the color match because it makes her dress look worse and the two couples look ridiculous. If there were ever a time to coordinate outfit planning, this was it.
Yeah, I thought that they (allegedly) always color-coordinated in advance? I guess not, or maybe Kate and Sophie think that this IS a flattering combo!
I wondered if they were still doing the matching color thing. Like they did with the burgundy brigade to counter what Meghan said in spare about thinking she couldn’t show up in the same color.
I wondered this too. I saw the pic at first and went “Oh, I guess The Duchess of Edinburgh had to call up Princess KKKhate and make sure they were on the same tacky page”
Kate’s dress does suit her though- it looks closer to “her” style VS the cosplay she’s been doing from her sister-in-law lately.
They just all look so STIFF. It’s a GARDEN PARTY. Yikes.
Sophie needs to stay away from high necks. V necks would flatter her a lot more. And someone needs to make Kate a generous plate so that woman can have a decent meal FINALLY. Hope she’s okay, I’m sorry, I don’t want to encourage body shaming. Sis has just been looking angry and HUNGRY and I want better for her.
I mean I don’t hate that blue outfit on Kate. It’s kind of old fashioned but overall it works for her. She is pulling it off.
Overall I find British fashion among the ‘elite’ to be either one or the other extreme – be kinda fussy and unflattering or actually stylish and of the moment. I think it depends on who is wearing it.
Brits love a good ol’ wallpaper design on their textiles that they wear on their bodies, a puffed sleeve, a fussy hemline, a pussybow tied at the neck, a crazy hat or ‘fascinator’, a high neckline to emphasize a matronly bosom. I don’t think this is something extremely reductive to say or what not – it’s just what I have observed over the years.
Maybe this is part of why they love to copy Meghan. She brought something new and fresh to the mix that they cannot pull off the same way. 😂
I actually like how Kate looks here – except for the boring and unimaginative accessories. But Sophie is just… awful. The jewellery is off, the dress – I like the fabric, but the design… it’s really not flattering, yikes.
I’m sorry, but both of these outfits are hideous. They look like sister wives. I was going to say they were a throwback to the 1950s, but no one back then would have worn something this ugly. Amazingly, the Princess of Wales, who has unlimited resources, still has such terrible taste sometimes. The earrings don’t even go with the outfit! I will say that the color of Kate’s dress is lovely.
Yes! Chloe Sevigne (#2 wife) wore a denim/chambray dress just like Sophie’s in Big Love!
Chloe carries it off, but she’s unique in that way. These remind me a bit of Vampire’s Wife frocks? DM’s story on this event was the most fawning thing
How did they not sink into the turf in their heels? I saw wedges on a lot of the regular folks. Remember when Kate used to always wear those–I think they were like black patent– wedges?
Little house on the prairie chique!
Honestly i don’t like her nor do I like Sophie’s dress.
Ya kates look is bad but Sophie’s is just horrible.
It’s like a Lanz flannel nightgown with a belt.
Minnie Pearl comes to mind. Only missing hat with price tag dangling.
Lol, I was going to say Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
Both blue dresses struck me as being out of the 1970s, looks for Stepford Wives. And those morning suits are not well tailored; don’t they use Savile Row tailors?
None of them seem to belong in 2023.
What the Little House On The Prairie hell are Sophie and Kate wearing
It reminds of the gatherings of the stepford wives in that film
Now you’ve got me imagining Kate walking around vacantly saying “I’ll just DIE if I don’t get this recipe” to everyone she comes across. Or better yet: “It’s nothing, it’s just my head”
Whatever she did was was likely equally as forced and banal. Katebot reporting for duty. Doesn’t matter what she wears at this point, so long as she shows up.
Ianne, yes exactly!!
https://www.tcm.com/video/930869/stepford-wives-the-1975-movie-clip-ill-just-die-if-i-dont-get-this-recipe
Kate’s forced open-mouthed mirthless jollity, and then these proper by style-less clothes always remind me of Stepford Wives. They’re playing roles, forcibly. They are a fantasy of present-day English royals. There is something so sick about the whole thing.
I feel like we need to distinguish between Little House on the Prairie and Stepford Wives. Prairie wives were badass. Even my midwestern farm wife of a mother-in-law (who sadly has some Stepford elements about her) can get her hands dirty in away I and my city folk could never. Not saying anyone should dress like a 19th century prairie maiden, though. Cuz, well, denim exists now and it’s cheap.
The looks are nice if you’re time-traveling in the 1930s, I guess. Which, come to think of it, they are.
Do they have a contract with the people who make the flower peekaboo hats? I’m sick of them. There are so many pretty and interesting hats in the world. I would think people who wear hats frequently for “work” would have a nicer collection.
I love the hat, but as an overall look I disliked this in 2019 and I dislike it still. I will never, ever understand the choice of shiny silver pumps for a daytime event…?!?! It makes me cringe!
I will never, ever understand this English thing of wearing high heels–particularly stilettos–on grass. They do it for the garden parties, Ascot, sometimes polo. It’s just weird! And for that matter, it never made sense to me for walking on those ancient paving stones such as at Westminster, or pretty. much any old church or castle in England. I’m surprise there aren’t more broken ankles or broken off heels.
Wee Willy’s pants are a wrinkled mess. I’m just relieved they’re not too tight.
They look like Dockers he just pulled out of the dryer.
With all their wealth, I find it strange that the future king/his underpaid staff either doesn’t have access to or has never heard of an iron or dry cleaning. What are his assistants doing? No one is letting him know how bad he looks? I can’t believe he showed up looking like he just rolled out of bed after the impeccable and handsome way Harry looked at the ClownFest. Embarrassing.
Harry dried his clothes on radiators so maybe Willy did the same!
She and Sophie look way too matchy matchy for it not t be a coincidence, right? “I’m going to wear my ugly blue lace dress with my big hat with a flower above my left ear.” “OMG ME TOOOOOOO!”
the weird thing is that I remember HAAAAAATING this dress when she wore it the first time and objectively I still think its ugly – but at least its typical Kate and not some Meghan or Diana or Rose cosplay.
That’s the best thing I can say about it, too— it’s very Kate, she’s for sure not copying anyone here!
I had the same reaction. Sophie looks like the frumpier version of Kate. Sort of like a side kick copying the queen bee. Bad bad bad.
@becs1 seems to me she has gone from the coronation, with that blue and red cape horror, like someone waiting to be shot out of a cannon, to “let’s play Mary Poppins”. Both epic fails and both should be consigned back to the 1980s AT LEAST, and please, please Khate give Jim Carey his teeth back
@Mary Pester I should have scrolled further before posting. Totally agree re: the Mary Poppins cos-play!
You are so right about the Jim Carey teeth gurning – now cannot unsee the similarity!
Omfg, that pic of the 4 of them looks like some kind of dystopian Westworld/ Get Out nightmare. And these are supposed to be the “young royals”?! Full heebie jeebies.
They are the “young ones!” Good work, everyone.
(I was going to say “Good work, Chuck,” but really, driving the Sussexes out of the country was a group effort. The family came together for once! Heartwarming.)
This made me laugh! So true, in a very disturbing way.
Westworld was exactly my thought!
“The Colonial Experience”
Like ducks in a carnival gallery, or a row of “action figure” dolls on a shelf.
It’s not screaming “dynamic future of a nation” to me.
Kate’s dress looked awful then to see these up close pix and it’s even worse! So maybe Kate and Sophie have bonded over horrible fashion besides tormenting Meghan.
Eliza Doolittle Realness
This!
Kate’s dress – meh. The usual. But what in Holly Hobbie’s name is Sophie wearing?! She should really be better at this by now.
Omg !!! Holly hobbie 😂🤣😂
@MOXYLADY OMG! I live in an area with loads of Amish people, the local sewing store has shelves of this type of fabric and Holly Hobby embroidery patterns for quilt tops and dresses. You hit the nail on the head.
I have seen Mennonite women wearing the same dress pattern as Sophie!
A pattern from the late part of the 19th century or the early 20th. 😳
I can’t unsee it now.
Sophie…yikes.
Does anyone else see anything weird with the picture of Edward and Sophie. They look like the camera has elongated them. Anyway, Saab is fussy, so I think Kate looks fine and he’s definitely her style. In contrast, the fabric of Sophie’s dress looks too thick and heavy and I feel hot just looking at it. Maybe Sophie’s dress is just some anonymous High Street brand. Although Sophie does seem to wear as much designer wear as Kate. They are both wearing the same style of hat, and with both dressed in the same colour scheme, I think they’re twinning. I must say, Kate looks better though. Don’t forget Harry’s morning suit was designed by an English person working for a French design House, just like Meghan’s wedding gown was designed by an English woman working for a French design House. Perfect marriages all around I would say.
I don’t think Sophie’s dress is by some anonymous high street brand. I suspect it’s Suzannah which she and Louise both wore to the coronation. Sophie wears the high-end brand regularly and Suzannah often posts S’s look on its instagram page (see the post regarding S’s outfit for TQ’s funeral). The commercial relationship between S and Suzannah is so glaringly obvious but of course it doesn’t provoke any censure from tabloid hacks unlike PH wearing Dior.
This soft, belted silhouette actually works on Kate. It has added shape and it smooths her disproportionate figure. Maybe a different fabric, neckline, color though! Sophie’s hat makes it look as though the top of her head was lopped off!
Wow! Awful dresses ( both). It’s ridiculous to dress like that in 2023 … something nice? I like the color.
I can’t figure out which dress is worse! I dislike how see through Kate’s is though. The color reminds me of a Jessica London dress that I had in the early 90s. It also buttoned all the way up and had a yoke. I livened it up with dusty rose cowboy boots 🤣 Nothing wrong with blue, but it’s odd to be so matchy.
It is very see through and I think that is why she chose this dress.
I wonder if they are wearing these repeats due to all of the complaints about the 250 mil spent on the Chubbly? Anyway these two awful dresses should go to the back of the rotation. Especially Sophie’s dress.
Very BigLove vibes with both these ensembles…yikes
I especially enjoyed how their Twitter post said something “Celebrating people who do extraordinary things” and then they just had a bunch of photos of themselves.
I like Kate’s dress (minus the bow)! It gives her the illusion of a waist.
Have you ever met one of those mean girls who only wants frumpier women as her bridesmaids because she knows she’s average looking and feels she will look better and “shine” by surrounding herself w plain women? So Kate.
I don’t understand why the Princess Royal is never at the forefront to greet the guests at the garden party together with the Dukes and the married in.
Please be upstanding for the blue sister-wife salute.
At least Sophie has “nothing to see here” vibes. Kate’s all about the camera.
One of these days, Kate’s going to have a fly fly into her gaping mouth.
Kate needs to stop the open mouthed.gurns
@TESSA, not long now because I have heard that jim Carey wants his teeth back for the next film of The Mask 😁
Lol. It would not surprise me.
Is there any reason they have to dress up so out of date to meet their subjects? Why pretend it’s still 1950 and that they are mini Queen Elizabeths? Celebrate today, instead! Kate looks like she wandered off the set of a period piece being filmed elsewhere at BP.
On another note, Cams has to be cackling knowing she assigned the Lazy Ones another day of work!! Meanwhile, she and CRex hightailed it off for some R&R at Sandringham.
I know she could not/would not do this because it would show too much skin, but Kate’s dress would look cute if you took the whole sheer top (sleeves, bow, etc) off and the top was just the camisole, maybe with a little sweater. I like the color and the detail on the bottom, but as a whole dress it’s too much.
I don’t know another person who opens their mouth so wide! She has to do that intentionally. Why isn’t she told how awful and bizarre that looks?
The Royal Guffaw. I think she does it when she knows her favourite photographer is around — it tightens up her jawline droops and makes her look like she has a personality.
It’s her idea of a dazzling smile – look at ma teef!!!
Because the taxpayers paid good money for those veneers?
Oh look, they are playing twinsies and giving antebellum vibes.
Like the barbecue scene with scarlett and melanie.
@RoyalBlue 🤣🤣🤣
They look like mannequins in a Wild West Museum.
They just look so fussy, it’s awful.
It’s giving white cult. Which, I guess, is accurate.
I love Elie Saab but this still is ” Hideon” meaning hideous to the x power. Please stop. Make it stop.
It originally had short sleeves. Kate added the long sheer ones. It looked more playful in the original style imo.
Well, if it was 1920, I’d say the dresses were fine.
Kate is a more flattering shade than the one Sophie is wearing.
That’s all I’ve got bc, who cares.
I think the dress looks great. I thought we wanted her to rewear outfits?
I think it’s fair to assume people wanted her to rewear *attractive* clothes. Emphasis on attractive.
It is her only job: Show up looking glamorous with a budget of hundreds of thousands of pounds a year.
They look ridiculous. What a lack of glamour! This is a desert of glamour! They look like secretaries from the 1940s. Sofie is gonna get it from Kate for almost identical monstrosity wearing blue.
Three of these people look affirmatively fine, put together and appropriate–even if I don’t like their outfits. But one looks like he just unpacked his emergency pants delivered last minute by Amazon. If you have the resources of a king, get yourself a tailor already. My goodness.
My hands would ache from carrying those clutches and I would possibly drop it on the ground. Even though the Queen always carried her security blanket purse, I think it’s a tradition they should drop as it looks silly, cumbersome and pointless.
Someone on Twitter posted that the top photo was giving “the wheel fell off the wagon and Timmy died of dysentery” vibe and now I can’t unsee that!! #OregonTrail #AbolishTheMonarchy
I’m laughing so hard I’m wiping away tears! Please stop! lol
😂😂😂
Sophie is only 4 inches shorter than Khate. Edward is 3 inches shorter than William and is definitely not a tiny shrunken person much smaller than Khate. Out of control photo shopping and Khate wearing 12 inch heels is the difference. Those dresses are dreadful and look like something out of an old time “D” grade cowboy movie. William and Edward just need stetson hats and then off they all go to the barn dance………. It is not funny, it is bordering on pathetic.
Sophie wins ! The ugliest dress of the day . Kate wins ! Kate did not want Sophie to look better than her. sigh …
Sophie’s (hideous) dress is Isla Guipure! It retails for $1,670
I can see why some people call Kate a laugh-bot. You can nearly see her tonsils again.
They are wearing the same hat
Kate looks like she’s braying. Does nobody near her say this is not a good look?
I wondered if the tea party was required to have a theme like Curtains and tea clothes.
Kate and Sophie next to each other remind me of those Russian nesting dolls with their height difference. Those dresses are awful, like prairie style. Sophie still basic and unstylish as usual. Is this the same hats they wore last time as well? They look like dinner plates perched on their heads at that ridiculous angle.Dull as dishwater.
That prairie dress is not cute and Pegs suit seems ill fitted. After seeing Harry in his perfect fitted Dior suit, Willy looks a tad rumpled.
So…. up and down lines on everything, right down to the handbag
So you pair that with… circle earrings? Big circles?
where’s the stylist???
Her stylist hates her, can u not tell?!?
Sophie’s dress flattens her boobs and makes them look like pancakes. A better bra could have prevented that. Of course a better dress wouldnt have caused pancake-boob in the first place. I mean yikes! Between her and Camilla, are navel-grazing boobs an aristo thing?
Did they all dance the Shipoopi on the lawn afterwards?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant!!
Chuck should put a HOLD on new wardrobe items for Kate for a minimum of 2 years.
She must have entire rooms full of clothes, coats, hats.
Kate spends tons on her clothes, get with Princess Anne and wear items for years on end.
Anne usually looks terrific, she has style.
I’d pay for both Kate and Anne to get haircuts, myself. If Kate would go shoulder length and stop all the extensions.
For some reason that first pic reminds me of a Hee Haw sketch. Klan-a-lack-lack klan-a-lack (that’s how I always sang it in my head :D).
The details up close on Kate’s are high quality and have a pretty impact but the overall effect is too costume like especially viewed from afar. I feel like if it were separates to mix and match it would be better so it’s not so much all at once. The color isn’t great on her but it is a pretty color. Just not for her. But again the overall reminds me of Mary Poppins on her day off.
Little house on the prairie vibes but not in a good way. Why does Kate always have her mouth open so while I can see the back of her throat??
Kate has so many looks that I think you guys are too hard on, that I’m like I would totally wear that ironically. But this. I can’t even. Is she a five year old flower girl at her aunt’s wedding? Cuz that’s the last time I was dressed that way. And yeah it was the 80s.
I hate Kate’s dress and Sophie’s hat looks like something is trying to eat her head. It’s like the style gods have officially turned their backs on them. I just can’t with them….ugh!
They all look horrible lined up like that by height. So weird-looking.
Of the fugly shit she’s worn, this really stands out to me as the Platonic Fugly. It looks like what Mary Poppins would wear to a retirement party in Croyden. I simply cannot fathom anyone choosing to wear this *twice*.
I think both dresses are hideously frumpy. Sophie’s dress especially is doing her no favors. A knee length on her would look better because she’s short and for god’s sake, are there no proper bras in the UK? Everyone’s boob’s are tapping “Help me” on their stomach.
I know, they’re all ready to do Irish step dancing.
This is the result when you belittle Dior.
Brilliant, Lizzie. So right!
Kate’s dress is marginally better than Sophie’s nightmare but neither was a good choice.
Looks like the gals are trying to say they can wear American prairie better than American Meghan? LOL Seriously, the message had to be to do all you can to not overshadow the guests who are wearing their best. So maybe these are revenge dresses in a way. If it takes an old twice-worn ‘American-style’ dress to say, ‘look at me, I’m underdressed! ‘ it might indicate that they’re not in love with Americans so American style dress is dressing down’.
Duh.
Message received.
Back atcha.
I would like Kate’s dress better with a crew collar (no tie) and the buttons down the back. I guess Sofie doesn’t have a seam ripper to extricate the ruffle… maybe she’s saying ‘Someone’s making me wear this so I’m ruffled.’
Stepford wives with uppers for a grand occassion.
Hysterical about the Vibe= broken down wagon train and timmys/dysentery 🙂 They do look bad and too matchy matchy in both color and style” , especially sophies dress.
I think its highly possible that the 2 women had a private talk and decided to do this together. But why??
I think this is related to Camila and them trying *not to be tall poppies??
Kate looks like a Disney villain.
