Meanwhile, the whole-ass Football Association President was too lazy to attend the Women’s World Cup when England was in the final! But suddenly, William is very keen to go to France and watch rugby. Kensington Palace’s excuses for why William couldn’t fly to Australia for the World Cup: he can’t go anywhere before his father AND environmental concerns. Meanwhile, Peg and Buttons will be traveling to France before King Charles, and you know private planes are involved.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are to travel to France to cheer on England and Wales in the men’s Rugby World Cup, just weeks after the Prince faced a backlash for missing the Lionesses’ historic final. The couple’s brief sporting trip clashes with the start of the Duke of Sussex’s Invictus Games in Germany.
The Princess of Wales, who is patron of the Rugby Football Union, will attend a group stage match between England and Argentina at the Stade de Marseille on Saturday – the first weekend of the tournament. The Prince of Wales, patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, will watch Wales compete against Fiji in another opening-round match at the Stade de Bordeaux on Sunday.
The Duke of Sussex is travelling from the US, with the Duchess of Sussex joining him later in the week, for the duration of the Invictus tournament – his pride and joy which he founded as a Paralympic-style competition to help wounded and sick ex-military personnel. He will take to the stage in Dusseldorf at a grand opening ceremony on Saturday to kick off the eight-day event.
Later the same evening, the Princess will also be in continental Europe, in neighbouring France, while the Prince’s appearance on Sunday falls on the first day of Invictus’ competitive events. Kensington Palace said no further appearances are planned for the Prince and Princess while they are in France.
William and Kate’s excursion to support the two men’s sides in the first stage comes after the Prince was criticised for deciding not to attend the women’s England team’s World Cup football final against Spain in Sydney last month.
Again, it’s not like the Welsh team or English team are in the quarterfinals or semis or even the finals. They’re making a point of going to group-stage matches just to “compete” with Harry and the Invictus Games. They’re also making a point of showing that they don’t give a f–k about women athletes – William still hasn’t visited with the Lionesses or hosted a congratulatory event for the Lionesses at Windsor Castle or Kensington Palace. William will only show up for male athletes and he’ll only do it to compete with his brother. Desperate, pathetic, juvenile losers.

Well this is a recipe for disaster then. Thinking they can compete with Harry is a useless endeavor on their part. Proving that their own excuses for not going to the women’s soccer were just lies is a really bad look for them. England has more chances of crashing out of the group stages. Wales might win more matches but they’ll problably won’t be first of their group. They’re definitely trying to upstage Prince Harry and they also know they won’t have the chance to go to a final game.

I like to think Willie watched the Invictus series and finally clued in to just how intelligent Harry is. I think everyone in that country who watched it now knows how bright the prince really is. If Burger King was smart instead of a self-absorbed snob, he’d have let that anger die down and come back into the public eye by visiting a real social charitable cause. Instead, the lazy oafs are back to “work” (cough cough) watching sports matches and putting it down in the court circular and reminding everyone that they travel for men’s sport but not women’s. And don’t these teams play in the UK? Why fly to France for this? I hope they both get booed and the French television turn up the audio when it happens. Also, they could have gone together to both matches since they are flying in; they obviously can’t stand each other.

They really are dumbasses. As Kaiser suggested, their first act should have been to host the Lionesses in a celebration — a well-coordinated event that focused on the players, not W&K.
But they’re too stupid to do that, or to hire someone who could pull off such an event.

I’m just waiting for the sound of crickets from KFC, Mean and Keen when the Invictus Games come to a hugely successful close with Meghan’s heartfelt speech. They’re too effing bitter and spiteful to even offer congratulations to the very soldiers who defended king and country with their lives.
Just imagine if TOB had better advisors – he could have had his team at least roll out this trip announcement to deflect some of the criticism he got for not attending the world cup.

Will-di Amin is the gdamn Prince of Wales, and rakes in millions of his own money every year from the Duchy of Cornwall. He just may be the most miserable SOB walking around the UK today. Imagine having all of that unearned wealth and esteem, to have a set position in society with no one really asking anything of him in return, and the only motivation he seems to have in his life is to one-up his brother. The Wales are living on animus. What a toxic world they have created for themselves in their family. Imagine being a child in that environment. The thing is, he’s “won.” He has the money and the media on his side, and a political system that’s primed to keep him exactly where he is. And yet he’ll never be happy unless he’s making his brother miserable, and his brother’s wife by proxy. Is he a racist, beyond the implicit bias of his universe? Who knows and who cares. He has something very much in common with racists–a need to see someone else crushed down so that he can feel superior.
I realize this saying is so trite and overused but there’s a reason for that — it’s absolutely true that you need to be careful what you wish for. Because you’re right: on paper, W&K got everything they wanted. Yet they are both miserableAF! They hate their lives and always will. They are destined to forever be envious of what Harry and Meghan have.
It doesn’t matter how many properties William controls or how many fake medals he drapes himself in, or how many tiaras Kate ends up having access to. They are MISERABLE.

My first thought is why did they wait so late to say they are going to France. I guess I can give them grace and say they waited because of security concerns. We all know it’s about invictus and skipping Australia women’s rugby. If William’s people knew he was going to France why did they put out that William can’t travel to a country before chuck. They just lie as they go along.
I’m honestly so surprised there hasnt been some celebratory event with rhe Lionesses at one of the palaces yet. No, they didnt win but this is their best finish ever and they still got a silver medal. The Swedish royals did a get together with their team once they got home with their bronze medals a couple weeks ago so what are the Windsors waiting for?
Also: have the Lionesses even gotten an invite from Sunak or his wife to see them? It’s sad because the British establishment really is sending the message that women’s sports dont matter to their entire country.
