I’m a little bit bummed to see Dua Lipa get snubbed for awards throughout the season, because her Barbie song “Dance the Night” is arguably the best song from the Barbie soundtrack. I know TikTok loves Billie Eilish’s song and everyone raves about “I’m Just Ken,” but Dua’s song really is… better. Just my opinion. Dua is still attending all of the awards shows and she’s actually doing so well with her fashion. At the Critics Choice Awards, she wore a custom Prada and she probably got the best Prada look of the night. Few women could pull this off, and Dua is one of them. Her hair looks dyed to match the dress too.
Brie Larson was also nominated and she also wore a custom Prada. I like the neckline and some of the ideas here, but no – this doesn’t work.
Brit Marling wore Prada – is she supposed to look like banana peel? Is that what this is? Banana peel, but make it fashion.
Tom Holland wore head-to-toe Prada. Very cute. I have the feeling that he’s quietly dapper and he knows how to put looks together.

Dua got the best of the ladies’ Pradas. She looks great and it’s so interesting and you can see the work. The banana peel is completely wearing the person wearing it. You can’t even see her beyond the gown. Brie’s dress is basic and looks off the rack. I feel like I could go to a department store and buy that myself.
Tom has undeniable style and swagger and elevates whatever he’s wearing.
“Quietly dapper” – Yes! Totally! I hope we see him with Zendaya at the Met Gala.
Is the bodice of Brie’s dress made of velvet? If so, I think that’s what throws the look off for me. Such a heavy fabric to contrast with the airy sheers that dominate the bottom of the look.
I think Dua Lipa looks fantastic. The color of the dress really pops against her skin and I love the textures going on.
I’m surprised that I like Tom Holland’s look because I’m not generally a fan of double breasted blazers. I wish his shirt was a different color though. Maybe a bright turquoise.
I agree with you about Dua Lipa’s song. I find Billie’s to be completely forgettable, and I like I’m just Ken and it’s important to the story line but Dua’s song is the best.
Well the songs are meant to do two different things so I wouldn’t even compare them. One is about the emotional journey of the main character and the other is a party song.

CB you and I are on different pages today lol. I love Brie’s dress – I really like how Prada is taking their 2024 runway looks and editing them for the red carpet. Like they did for Ayo and Hunter at the Golden Globes. The cut of Brie’s dress is PERFECTION. She’s been killing it this awards season.
And also – that Dua song annoys the hell out of me. Sorry. lol
