I had no idea that the Invictus anniversary service was scheduled to start so late in the day on Wednesday. I thought it would be a morning service or, at the latest, something around noon. I think it started at like 5 pm GMT? Anyway, that’s why we’re covering it today, because it took a while to get the photos and everything.
It was also amazing to watch it unfold in real time on social media, because the royal reporters desperately wanted to cover Harry’s every move, but King Charles set up his dumbass “garden party” to start at almost the exact same time as the Invictus service. Literally, as Charles and Camilla were staggering around greeting guests, Harry was walking up the steps of St. Paul’s Cathedral. Which meant that most of the rota was basically blocked from waiting around the cathedral like groupies. Still, the photographers were out in full force and Harry looked like a king, walking up and down those steps by himself, waving to his adoring crowds.
Tom Sykes at the Daily Beast tried to make it sound like Charles “delivered a harsh message of rejection” by ordering the other Windsors to stay away from the Invictus service and… you know, scheduling a garden party for the exact time as Harry’s service. Is it really a harsh message of rejection? I’m sure that’s what Charles intended, but it came across as fearful. Terrified, even. Charles had to assemble his version of the Avengers (a bunch of old farts with made-up titles) just to create counterprogramming for a handsome prince, the son of Britain’s beloved Lady Diana Spencer, being celebrated for creating the Invictus Games and the Invictus community. The intention, as Sykes writes, was to “overshadow” Harry’s day. But the Windsors ended up looking old, terrified, out of touch, spiteful, petty and anti-veteran. Sidenote: after these shenanigans, I really don’t see how the 2027 games would ever go to Birmingham, let’s be real.
Besides, Harry’s other family came out for the service. The Earl Spencer (Harry’s uncle) was there, as were Harry’s aunts Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale. Three of Harry’s Spencer-fam cousins were there as well. Just what Charles wanted – another reminder that Harry is Diana’s son, that Harry inherited the Spencer rizz, and that Diana’s memory lives on in her youngest child.

I’m developing a new fetish for pictures of ginger men touching the from button of their suit jackets 😍 I’m adding it to my crush on gingers shooting their cuffs. What a great looking, dignified and well dressed man!
This is right up there with the pictures in uniform at QE2’s visitation.
I agree. There is something very sexy about that pose. And he does look very good.
That Applause is for Harry, and Harry alone. This is his legacy. The absence of RF speaks volumes and is a royal slap in the face to British veterans and active service members. This is a total PR fiasco and will backfire big time.
I think it’s the effect that he’s just come into action because men rebutton their jackets when they stand up from a long time sitting down at dinner or at a meeting or in the car. So it’s like “action man doin’ stuff!”
He’s always been my Ginger Crush. I feel so validated as the years continue and he reveals himself to be SO decent and devoted to his immediate family. Le sigh.
@Pinkosaurus, I thought it was just me. When he adjusts his suit he’s just so…PRESENT. When my Mom used to get upset with my Dad (who was very Charlesish), she would say under her breath, “You could have been a red head”…she fell in love with a red head from Montana before my Dad and I think she always carried a flame for him. I feel like I finally understand something about her 🙂
Harry did carry himself like a King! …I was there in the Cathedral!!
@Jais @LRB @Christine @PotatoPuff @nutellatoast @debbye @Agreatreckoning @Kim The 8th of May turned out great! I had expected just to be in the crowd outside St Paul’s Cathedral but when I checked the timing online yesterday I found out that free tickets were available for members of the public, so I registered! I got there early and got an aisle seat. When Harry arrived and walked down the aisle I was in touching distance of him. When he took his seat he was right at the front but on the other side of the aisle from me so I got a great view of him chatting to his Aunt and Uncle and cousins. The service was beautiful and so moving. At the end Harry went downstairs into the Crypt for drinks with the VIP guests. I used the opportunity to look around the Cathedral, which is magnificent, my first time visit!
When I left using the same steps I had entered with, which were the same steps Harry climbed, I noticed that the crowd had not left which meant that Harry had not left. So I joined the crowd and waited for him to emerge from a side door, which was just in front of where I was standing. I got a good video of him coming out and I was standing next to the lucky group who Harry shook hands with.
I had a chat with a few of the journalists and photographers who were filing stories and sending off photos.
The crowd outside was big and full of love and support for Harry, something newspapers don’t report, and this outpouring of love is an indication why the RF is very afraid of Harry’s charisma and star power.
Harry had a lot of security and there were lots of police and helicopters were circling all the time.
I am overcome with jealousy! How fantastic that you were able to be there and I love your reporting of how supportive the crowd was. Whatever “It” is he’s got it!
Thank you so much. I have watched all the videos.. I heard cheering not boos. He did indeed look calm, smart and very very regal. Poor old Willi …. I am so so glad that Harry got this welcome, but it must break his heart that his Windsor family are so f***ing awful to him . Their loss, and the king is an absolute disgrace of a human being.
How exciting for you!
What a memorable experience for you! Looks like it was a beautiful day. Thank you so much for reporting back to us!
This is just so cool!
I was one that found the idea of a church service for a 10 year Invictus anniversary really boring, but I have to eat my words, it was really moving!
@PrincessK thank you so much for this report! Sounds like it was a wonderful event. Love the support for Harry from the public.
What a great experience and I loved your write up of it, you’d be a better Rota than most of them!
Thank you for sharing PrincesssK! I also loved seeing his interactions with the Spencer family and the crowds yelling their love for Harry (and Meghan!)
PrincessK how exciting for you and excellent write up. I saw some great pics and vid online too. Thanks for the report.. Great day.
Thank you Princessk for reporting back! I was hoping to see a post from you today! Your recap was wonderful…👏👏👏👏
Wow, what a special day for you! You could feel the warmth of the crowd through video, in person it must have been astounding!
Awww @princessk! That’s so amazing. What an experience. It looked like a beautiful day. Thank you for your citizen’s report❤️
OMG I love this first person update. Thank you for sharing. The Daily Fail is saying otherwise..sigh. So HAPPY YOU GOT TO GO INSIDE AND GET UP CLOSE!! Yipeeee
Omg this is amazing!!! Thank you for sharing this with us!
How exciting and a lovely write-up. I feel like I was there!
I’d like to add my thanks as well, PrincessK! That was really nice to read 😊
I’m so happy that the Spencers showed up to support him, and that he was there for the veterans.
Oh wow how exciting and I’m so happy for you. Thank you for the detailed post.
The chat with the journalists and photographers, did it spill any tea, what was your impression of them?
Thank you so much for telling us about your experience @princessk
How lucky you were to get that seat!
@PRINCESSK Fantastic!!! Lucky you! I love to see that people love Harry!
Glad willie and daddyo charlot will be able to check that crowd love, fear Harry and burst in anger again!
PrincessK, woo woo!! That sounds like an incredible experience. Good for you for doing a bit more research and discovering that you could be ~inside~ the service! What a great day. I came here specifically to see if you’d share your impressions, sounds like nothin but love for Harry.
Read your account on X and was thrilled for you! This post is even better! Congratulations on a splendid day and for cheering on our Good King Harry!
Oh what fun! And what a lovely opportunity for you!
Your write up is fantastic, I had a huge smile on my face while reading it! Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️
I’m so glad that I checked back on this post to see your comment @PrincessK! Delightful to read, so happy that you got to do that and report to us! 💗💗🥰💗💗
Well done you, PrincessK.
I love that a Celebitchy member was in attendance and reported the truth.
Thanks for sharing PrincessK. 🙂
@PrincessK to be in touching distance of our Prince! How fabulous. I know I would have felt Diana’s presence in that church as it brings back such memories of her wedding day. What a great experience for you.
Thank you for sharing this! The past few days have been really hard for my family (my mom is in the hospital), but seeing this first person experience of seeing Harry was so much fun!
Wish I could of been there.
That sounds wonderful!
Did you have to go through a security check?
Thank you for that very delightful, joyous report @Princessk. Very happy you were able to experience the Invictus Games service. It sounds like it was a genuine and moving experience. Which isn’t a big surprise. That’s what the IG are about. And, love/support/hope for one another.
Were the journalists/photographers behaving? Did any of the journalists you chatted with file a story that was opposite day of the experience? Being nosy.
What a great experience with all the positive emotions!
What an event! We CBers are thrilled that you represented us in supporting Good King Harry!
Was St. Paul’s full? For those who don’t know it holds thousands – no way a rinky dink garden party compares to this event smack dab in heart of the city and a heavily bombed London neighborhood in WWII
Well, for no particular reason, I would like to nominate the person who took that top photo for the Pulitzer Prize.
There is a picture at the top of steps with the priest, beautiful.
His name is Jason Tallis, he took a whole series of *Harry on the stairs of St. Paul’s” photos.
I really think this should join the iconic Samir Hussein “umbrella” one and a handful of Misan’s sublime ones in an imaginary gallery, a House of Sussex collection of timeless classics.
Can someone explain this to me? I don’t have a problem with it at all. It’s just that it seems a consistent thing men in suits do across the board. If they want their jackets closed, why don’t they just close them? Is it a fidjitty (don’t know how to spell that) thing? Like they don’t know what to do with their hands? It looks fine but I’m just curious why they all do it.
Some etiquette person decided that when men sit down, they should unbutton their suit jacket and they should button them up when they stand up. Unbuttoning may be practical as the suits are cut rather slim these days, and it might be snug around the waist in a sitting position and also it might crease.
Welcome to my club 😂
“my crush on gingers”
Damian Lewis was also there, just saying 😉
Prince Harry looks absolutely dapper, slender, young, handsome, and royal. His charisma and personality are traits that Prince William wished he had for sure.
Yes, he looks amazing, but I worry that his hair keeps thinning. Please, someone in CA get him on the Rogaine before it’s too late! Or Hair Club for Men or something. There’s so much help out there for men losing their hair. It would just be a shame if he ends up as bald as his brother, because he looks so good with his puff of red hair.
Male pattern baldness always wins in the end. Harry will look good anyway, he’s good inside, unlike that rotten Huevo.
Rogaine I don’t think is good for long-term results. As soon as you stop using it hair falls out again, and I heard that hair only regrows on the crown not all over the head. Prince Harry should get a hair transplant in Turkey because specialists are pretty good over there.
Would you tell him to go on a diet if he gained some weight? We should offer men the same grace we want for ourselves and STOP commenting on the bodies of others. To bang on about something clearly genetic is especially gross — leave the follicles out of the gossip please.
Baldness is his fate, he can maybe delay but not escape it. But with that smile, build, and demeanour, he’ll still have that “Spencer rizz” (well coined, Kaiser!)
Rogaine is very dangerous to have around pregnant women at a minimum and probably children too? Idk but I personally appreciate him not bothering about it. My husband had transplants and it’s fine but honestly I just love to see people, especially handsome distinguished men age naturally. I find it sexy.
@hillaryisalwaysright My hair was always my calling card – the one thing I managed to be proud of…and then I had some bad medical issues ending in a hysterectomy and now there’s not much left (and I had a lion’s mane worth). It’s not coming back. I cringe when I read stuff like this because sometimes it just is what it is, and it’s painful when try to “fix” you. *also, transplants don’t always work and Rogaine only offers modest gains that are lost as soon as you stop (I’ve watched my husband battle baldness for years).
Harry doesn’t need to do anything, apart from wearing a hat to stop sunburn. I don’t have a problem with male pattern baldness.
I disagree @HILLARY. Bald is beautiful and doesn’t deter me a bit. I would strongly discourage any man from a combover, but baldness, or significant thinning is still sexy. Men worry too much about it already, IMO, so let’s not add to their anxiety.
Turbanma- you’re right, and Rogaine is also very dangerous to use around pets, ingesting a tiny amount can kill them.
The world already knows Harry is bald, he’d look ridiculous if he had a hair transplant. He also just doesn’t seem bothered, joking about it in his book etc. Fair play to him for just accepting it gracefully.
While I’ve never been a fan of Earl Spencer, I was happy to see him at the service along with his sister. Glad to hear some of Harry’s cousins were there as well.
The Spencer family showed up for their beloved family member and it was wonderful to see them all happy and hugging.
yes, the Spencer family is more aristocratic and loving than the Windsors. They came to the ceremony and looked so much more royal than having the Windsors there any day!
When I saw them there I was like, oooohhh so it really is like that between the Spencers and the Windsors. I mean, of course it is, but I hadn’t given it a ton of thought. Diana’s family being all-in while Harry’s father had his sulk fest was QUITE the visual.
Yup. And I bet BP didn’t count on that, at all. The contrast with the enthusiastic Spencer support of Harry made the Windsors look even more stupid and petty, which I thought was impossible. With all the news coverage, must be a real burn for KC to see Diana’s family back front and center at a public event, when the day was supposed to be all about him.
Earl Spencer is messy, but the fact that he shows up for Harry gives him a lot of points in my book. The Spencer’s have shown Harry the love and support Diana would have given him.
Who knows, maybe they look back at the Diana situation and want to do things differently/ better? I can’t judge because I don’t recall much but perhaps that’s a consideration for them
Charles Spencer wasn’t afraid to give an obituary in front of Charles and the Queen that was biting so I am not that surprised he attended to support Harry. The Spencer support has normally been behind the scenes, but it’s clear they did not abandon Harry.
Charles also posted that he wore his father’s regimental cufflinks at the service.
The Spencer family has supported Harry all along. I saw a clip not too long ago on TikTok of Earl Spencer’s eulogy for Diana and had forgotten how hard he went in, promising her to care for and look after her sons so that the same fate didn’t befall them. Well, the Spencers have done that for Harry. William is likely lost, but Harry is not, and he is his mother’s son through and through. I’m just imagining William watching that footage of Harry on his walkabout with people screaming “We love you Harry” and becoming even more incandescent. And frankly, the fact that the Windsors weren’t there and the Spencers were just further cements the fact that it is Harry, not William, who carries his mother’s legacy.
Well said Sarahlee.
Your last sentence is EXACTLY it.
For some reason I felt truly happy for Harry that the Spencers turned up en masse to support him. Some of the comments elsewhere regarding Harry are venomous to the point of gratuitous cruelty, just because he wasn’t born first and he married the woman he loves. Does the fact that he wasn’t born to be King make him a lesser person? Good grief.
Yes, to PH looking fine and happy and to the Spencers for being a decent family. These are the family members that A&L can hopefully meet and get to know. This is what will likely get international attention and not the garden party.
I didn’t want him to attend, I was in the “do a zoom” camp, I was so wrong.. loved everything about this and even had to wipe the tears a bit. Prince Harry is just an amazing man his leftovers trying to compete is pure comedy 🎭 and they look like fools for not celebrating this anniversary and what Prince Harry has accomplished for veterans world wide.
I was blown away by the crowds. Shocked. I didn’t know royal events in England could even still look like that??? But wow does that speak to how shallow TRF’s supposed “popularity” is.
I clocked those crowds, too! Impressive.
I burst into tears over this bit:
https://twitter.com/WeAreInvictus/status/1788283827875455197
@Hypocrisy, Initially, I thought it was a made up event by the BM. Even looked at St. Paul Cathedral’s schedule and it wasn’t listed. Then I noticed that on that day, compared to others, the times allowed to visitors changed somewhat. I didn’t want him to go. La Isla de Saltina doesn’t deserve him. The good people and military veterans do. Odds are those numbers are greater than the rottens.
I was wrong and am quite happy to see the beautiful, phenomenal reception Harry received.
Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp Harry’s cousin was there and he is a ginger with a beard also. Everyone on twitter was talking about how much he looks like Harry.
Don’t know if this twitter link will work.
https://x.com/royalwhisper/status/1788248659772977199
Awesome.. They could be brothers. The link works!! Handsome ginger too. I have 2 nephews that are full on gingers and they are bi-racial too..LOL
Wow, hooray for the Spencer genes!
Harry and his cousin are quite the snacks, and as someone who is trying to gracefully go gray, I am extremely jealous of Charles Spencer’s gorgeous hair.
When they were children Harry was the splitting image of his cousin George.
Oh my! *drool drool*
😍😍😍
Honestly, I don’t know how he carries himself with such infinite grace despite his “family” being 2 miles away having a…feckin’ garden party. That’s your strong move Charles??? “Frilly hats and tiny champagne flutes – take that my boy!” I didn’t hear a single “boo”. Take that Charles.
“take that my boy!” – dying!
A royal snack!
Harry looks dashing! It was heart warming to see Diana’s family there for him❤️
+1
Also, I apologize if this was covered yesterday but I noticed the Invictus pictures were by Chris Jackson. Isn’t he Kate’s favorite retouching photographer? I thought he was married to one of her aides or former aides? Anyway, I thought that was interesting. He was probably booked by Britain’s Invictus team but must still be okay with Harry.
I only bring this up because I wonder if booking that gig will be considered being disloyal by KP?
As the official KP photographer, he doesn’t have much to do now. With Kate hiding and W and K doing all the photo creation.
@Smart&Messy *giggle*
I’m guessing that photographing Meghan & Harry requires less extracurricular activities than others and is more fun!
He was also working at the Dusseldorf IG last year. So, not the first time he’s done Invictus photos. And that was when Kate was still out and about…
It completely cracked me up that Chris Jackson was all over this. He was also everywhere for Invictus Dusseldorf. I mean, presumably he has to eat and pay bills, and his cash cow is MIA. It just highlights the transactional nature of the relationship between the royals and British media.
So happy to see Harry looking so well and fit and happy. And all the positives around him. He truly has more Presence than his brother and
father.
Also happy about the Spencer’s. Well done for showing kindness and love to Harry and honoring the Veterans as well.
Harry and I share birthdays – many years apart and I am proud to say that!
Or KP is happy that Kate’s favorite photographer was there because they want to figure out how to recreate the Sussex sparkle not realizing that what Harry and Meghan have can’t be manufactured. Love and admiration oozes from their pores. It’s something that can’t be faked. You can tell that Invictus Games is something that Harry is passionate about. Unlike whatever ideas his brother throws out hoping to stick like spaghetti on a wall.
Chris Ship was there with his crew.
(much better looking in person 😉)
He’s not KP’s photographer. He works for a photo agency I think. So as long as he has the appropriate press credentials, he’s free to cover events like this. I don’t think Harry has any bad blood with him because he touches up Kate. Chris Jackson took that gorgeous picture of Meghan at the Remembrance Service and came out and said that there was no retouching because derangers were losing their minds over it.
I don’t think he has any kind of special access where he could get stories to run back to his wife and KP if that’s what people are worried about. I think he likes to photograph the Sussexes specifically bc they are so photogenic and IG events in general because there are lots of opportunities for great photos.
Isn’t he the one that got the fabulous shot of Harry and Meghan at the closing ceremony that they used for the Archewell year-end report?
I don’t know how much his wife is even working for Kate at this point. But he works for Getty I believe and he is on the general Royal beat, which does make this attendance instead of the garden party interesting.
As I wrote below, Charles could be testing the loyalty of the rota rats with this, not just being petty about Harry.
“testing the loyalty of the rota rats” Does the King really have nothing better to do with his life?
A pathetic old man.
It was glorious to see Harry looking fresh, youthful and happy. The Invictus commemoration was beautiful. Harry was surrounded by love and adoration. He even went out to greet the massive crowd outside. The Windsors looked old, pathetic and out of touch. The true king of U.K. media walked in, conquered and bounced.
Perfectly summed up.
Diana’s family being there obliterated the 100 snub articles the british rags already planned to put out saying Harry is lonely without family. And the adoring crowds waiting for him, cheering and shaking his hand was just the icing on the top. Happy for him
I only saw one article where I live and it was exactly that. Harry cut a lonely figure as he was snubbed by his ‘family’. No mention of the Spencer family or the hundreds cheering outside. And all his friends inside.
It was a big deal over here in the UK, it was front page news on the tabloids and headline slots on the main news channels. The original narrative of “lonely prince” was quickly changed (in real time) by The Fail, and even The Sun acknowledged the Spencers turning up to support Harry. Social media was over run with pictures of the Spencers, the crowds and of course Harry. It was all out there for everyone to see and the RRs who were trying to continue the “exiled, unloved” Prince found their time lines swamped with pictures from the ceremony. What I found hilarious was The Daily Beast was community noted for trying to spin the “alone, exiled prince” narrative.
The Spencers showing up was a game changer and the RR have been back pedalling and throwing out denials and counter denials ever since. The Windsors making it all about how busy they were shot themselves in the foot. Their “busy” narrative was blown to smithereens, with members of the public telling national news interviewers that KCIII should have made the time to see his son. The news bulletins served as a reminder that Harry does have family and friends over here. as well as people who genuinely love the guy and when allowed to do so will go all out to show their support.
Yes, the Spencer clan showing up to support wounded veterans and their sister’s son reminded the whole world of the Diana vs. Chuck/Rottweiler gaslighting melodrama. Well played, King Harry. CRex is such a sniveling petty nanny’s boy. The pix from that Garden “Party” are hilariously moribund. Once again Sofa delivered an ugly outfit, that was about the only entertainment offered.
If the Windsors don’t want him, the Spencers are happy to claim him. Leaving Harry to Diana’s family is another strategic error by the clueless king. The rift between him and the people’s princess now lives on through her son whom he rejects.
this is for @BrassyRebel…I love what you just wrote and I think it sums up the situation perfectly…The thing Charles hated was Di outshining him…and to see this…oh Princess Di, hand well played 😀
Their presence speaks volumes. I highly doubt they consider Charles and Camilla forgiven. They wholeheartedly support Harry, and probably believe everything he’s said about TRF. That they are very comfortable publicly defying the Windsors.
I wonder what they think about Williams comments about Diana’s “paranoia.” TBH if my nephew dared to say such things about my sibling, to imply in any way that they were crazy, I would be absolutely enraged.
Charles and Camilla gaslighted young Diana, contributed to her death, and her venomous son William then tarnished her legacy by calling her paranoid. The battle lines remain drawn. But even without the family feud melodrama, it should be a no-brainer to show up and support wounded veterans! That’s what IG is alllll about, not Harry — and he fully understands that. It looked like a beautiful day, and I’m glad they all honored Diana’s memory by being on the side of love and light.
“they are very comfortable publicly defying the Windsors.” You’re so right. From the Spencer family perspective, this isn’t only about showing support for Harry.
@Agnes – “William then tarnished her legacy by calling her paranoid.” Or rather “William then TRIED TO tarnish her legacy by calling her paranoid.”
Good point, Shawna, William disrespected his mother’s legacy, but her good works continue to shine.
Damn. The contrast is just so bad for the royals. I don’t see the monarchy lasting into the 2030s.
I hope good King Harry felt the love. The Firm has nothing on him. The Invictus Games and Sentabale are extraordinary. He is his mother’s son. He runs circles around his trash father and lazy brother. It is amazing what he has accomplished in spite of how he and his wife have been abused. I hope they become billionaires so that they and their children are always safe. The tide is turning. Abolish the monarchy.
He most definitely felt the love! It was all brilliant!
I was so proud of our Harry at this amazing event with so many dignitaries .
The support of the Spencer family must have really been a poke in the eye for silly old petty Charles .
So lovely of them to show Harry their love and support .
I haven’t seen any photos of the stupid garden party which must have been a barrel of laughs .for all the poor sods in attendance .
Aww. The Spencers showing up for Harry ❤️. I was a doubter of this church service thing but it seemed heart-felt and sweet. David Sherborne was there too. And Damian Lewis!
Even Rishi Sunac’s wife… it was much more of an Event than I’d pictured!
It definitely was. Lots of servicemen with their medals accompanied by their proud families, some of them were amputees.
It was unexpectedly epic on many levels. Wow. I really learned something about the reality of Harry’s popularity in England yesterday.
I LOVED that the Spencers went, especially Earl Spencer. There has been gossip over the past few years that Charles Spencer doesn’t support harry and meghan, even though Harry mentioned in Spare about taking Meghan to Althorp to see his mother’s grave, and the Spencers offered the Spencer tiara to Meghan (which would have been with Charles’ approval I imagine.) So him showing up blew those narratives out of the water, along with his sisters.
I’m so happy that the Windsors have no way to control the Spencers who predate them and will probably outlast them.
Charles Spencer reportedly visited Montecito. I think his support has been behind the scenes, it’s great to see the earl public support.
A lot of narratives were exploded yesterday. It made me feel like I really underestimated how many people even in England view the situation exactly as I do. With the RR drumbeat, it can be very easy to believe that everyone else believes every lie they’re told about MH.
It was absolutely wonderful to see the crowds and hear the cheers.
Interestingly, I follow a few accounts on X who were actually there and one posted a clip of the Sun rota reporter leaving the service yet his tweets implied he was at the garden party lol.
It’s also hilarious to watch the real-time briefings to try and reclaim the narrative after Harry’s statement and the Spencers showing that Harry has a loving family in the UK.
Yes, Matt Wilkinson from The Scum was there, the creep who tried to get so close to H&M in Düsseldorf last year. Several people identified him.
And Chris “Taliban” Shipwreck was there too, on a Wednesday of all days. He interviewed David Wiseman.
Rhiannon Mills from Sky TV was there too, the one who was so annoying to Harry on the Africa tour, when H was off on his own. She was the one getting called out by Harry, don’t really remember what he said, something like “don’t do that, Rhiannon” or similar.
“Don’t behave like this.” https://www.marieclaire.com/celebrity/prince-harry-angry-reporter-south-africa-rhiannon-mills/
IMO, the exchange between Rhiannon and Harry in South Africa, was about Harry’s disappointment in Rhiannon. Rightfully so. He did a really good interview with RM in New Zealand. He gave a lot of grace to William in this interview.imo
Harry was still charming Harry. (he made me nervous with his rubbing his hand on the balcony-splinters!) He was honest, intelligent and all the good things. fyi, pre Meghan. Before, the conveyor belt stopped.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8ttn5tRyMw
Rhiannon is also the one that got the scoop interview with Harry after Meghan gave birth to Archie. She was lunching with Max Foster when she received the text. Whilst Camilla Tominey was doing whatever and later complained about.lol
Rhiannon knew about the fire in Archie’s room (SA). Harry was done with giving grace to the BM. It was that tour the Sussexes announced the lawsuits. Rhiannon should have been better and later said something to that effect?. My apologies, don’t always get the affect/effect right. Please correct me.
I’m remembering a photo of William at an event /w NO people at all, or maybe one or two. @kaiser, I wish you could do a follow-up story and include THAT photo, lol!
Look at that crowd smiling and waving at him.
Again, I made the mistake of checking the Fail coverage and it’s wall to wall Harry and KC. There is not one picture or anything on W and K. Of course there is a spiteful twist to every single headline, but the Fail is drunk on the Harry coverage.
I confess that I checked the Fail too just to see the slant. There were big photos of King Harry and CRex and a little tiny box of Prince Petulant handing out medals at the Windsor investiture superimposed in the corner of one of the larger pics. Such a tiny tiny box. The editors did that on purpose and it is hilarious.
The crowd response to King Harry was so positive that I can totally see Huevo and KP issuing a breaking news Kate health update when they are in Nigeria just to pull focus.
Can you imagine how foaming-at-the-mouth angry Egghead must be? Nobody shouting “We love you William!” No crowds of worshipful stans. Minor press coverage. All while Chuck and Camzilla are tottering around at a garden party with a bunch of drunken fossils. Harry for the win AGAIN!
KP will hire a plant at next Willnot event to shout, “We/I love you William!”, AGAIN.
Good heavens, don’t give these people ideas.
@Square2, KP & BP will hire/pay people to be at Monday’s Middle Swallop codswallop event. Feel for the true army veterans/enlisters. Thank you, sirs…can we please have the brother whose done two tours of combat?
Charles was, and looked like, a fool. Harry was every inch a winner.
Absolutely! Some people said that other royals don’t get such big turn outs when they do events. The RF must be very afraid of Harry’s magnetism, he is above and beyond the star player…imagine if meghan was there….the crowd would have gone completely crazy.
This. I didn’t even think people turned out for royal events anymore, we’re so used to seeing those metal barricades with no one behind them.
Charles’ attempts to exile Harry through eviction and security issues has made Harry sightings in the UK a very rare thing. Which probably makes it that much more exciting. Had Harry and Meghan stayed, it’s possible the public would have gotten used to seeing them out and about. Not saying people wouldn’t still be excited but maybe not to the level it is now. People get so genuinely excited. Like you can hear people yelling “Harry!” in all the vids. Like seriously, when have you heard anyone yell Charles ! Camilla! William! Kate!
Jais, it makes me giggle that these idiots have made Harry and Meghan more popular than they likely would have been if they’d just been allowed to leave the country and rota left them alone. Oh, well!
Harry won big time 😍😍 Charles looked pathetic and silly, there’s a service for your veterans and you are throwing a garden party 😒😒 THE UK AND THE VETERANS DESERVE BETTER FROM THEIR KING.
Exactly @Swaz. OK if we all accept that his time is limited, what was wrong with sending a recorded message to the event – diary clash? A simple “thank you for your service” and a brief apology for not being there would have been enough. He didn’t have to acknowledge Harry; just a message to the veterans. Instead his advisers and the RR encouraged this stupid “I’m busy” and “Harry is an exile” narrative and it’s blown back spectacularly into his face.
You juswt know when they don’t choose Birmingham, there will be outcry that H is snubbing the UK and the royals. No mention of how the Royals have treated the veterans and Invictus.
Snubbing Invictus is such a nasty, petty look. How can anyone justify it?
Especially from the friggin’ Commander-in-Chief of the military…what on earth was he thinking? Snub your son all you like Chuck but don’t snub the veterans who fought for your useless, selfish, bitter hide.
@jaded I keep coming back to the suggestion that there is an intelligence deficit there. Courtiers have previously implied that these people are just plain dumb. I would compare this to missing the Lionesses in the World Cup. Yes, it’s arrogance and being spoiled. But on some level these people just aren’t bright. Think of some of the dumbest people you’ve met…they really might be like that. Like if I imagine certain people I’ve known throughout my life in Charles/wills, it becomes so much easier to understand why every choice they make is asinine. Like what if William has the intelligence of a Ryan Lochte and the character of a Matt Gaetz? You just can’t help stupid.
@Snaggletooth — “William has the intelligence of a Ryan Lochte and the character of a Matt Gaetz” — bahahahaaaaa!! Perfect description!!
@Snaggletooth: 😂
I feel really bad for the UK Invictus folks who have been working hard to get the games there – they must be so frustrated that this petty royal maneuvering is torpedoing their efforts.
Maybe they can go work for another Invictus org in the EU – oh, wait, they aren’t in the EU anymore either …
I do too. Their government and press has really let them down.
The footage of Harry going in to the church made it to our evening news in New Zealand. He was carried up the stairs on a wave of cheering and yelling. The crowd was clearly delighted by him.
It was lovely to see.
Just look at handsome Harry, wearing medals he actually won! That’s courage, class, and charisma in a fabulous package. KC and W have been shown to be jealous, spiteful losers.
Just a small note from my military family, for many medals you don’t want to say “won,” as they are given for actions no soldier/sailor/Marine, etc. would choose or wish on anyone else…fighting in a war, suffering an injury, saving others who are injured, performing a necessary but difficult act in defense of the nation. This is especially true of American medals like the Medal of Honor and Purple Heart and their equivalent.
It’s not the end of the world, but it’s generally better and more respectful to say “received,” and “earned,” vs “won.”
And, yes, Harry 100% actually earned his.
Thank you for this! I honestly didn’t know, but won’t forget now and I truly appreciate learning the correct way to express this.
Thank you for this educational comment, Mario. That makes total sense and I’m glad to have learned it.
Pardon my American vulgarity but the garden party royals are basically all Camilla’s tampon now. If that’s what they want, ffs let them have it. We’ve got Harry!
Bahahahahahahahaha!!! OMG. So true though!
Let’s all pour one out for Angela Levin’s boy Mike Tindall who was not at this event or the tea hat party. Waa waa
Yeah, somebody needs to ask her about that.
It was reported today in either the DE or the DM (can’t remember which) that Tindall wasn’t going to take over the Invictus games.
Tindall would never be in consideration for taking over the IG in the first place. Ludicrous idea to begin with. *cough* Levin’s d*mbassery on display. Again.
He didn’t serve in the military. He is an idiot. And, his great idea to make the IG more popular, would be to have a dwarf throwing competition. This is who AL supports. Of course.
You’re right @Amyb. I was looking out for the patron of the UK branch and he was nowhere to be seen. He must have got the date wrong, or………………………
If the Royal Family and press were honest with themselves they’d admit that their tactics backfired. They only put more attention on Harry and as Kaiser said the public got a reminder that Harry’s Diana’s son. The press is also angry that he put out the statement. Their pre-set stories had to be re-written and the blame for the meeting not happening is being placed on Charles who had ended just looking petty.
100% their tactics backfired and they know it. They put more attention on this service, Harry made it clear why he wasn’t meeting with his father, and Harry came out looking like the more popular and well liked royal.
Oh yeah, they’re big mad about the statement. And maybe also secretly frustrated with Charles. Some of them were forced to go to a smelly garden party bc Charles couldn’t get over himself. Oh well😂
Indeed, H&M are more interesting out than in.
100% backfired and they’re completely losing the narrative. Harry’s statement was so effective that the Royal Rotas are scrambling to clean it up, GOOD LUCK 😍
He just radiates joy, doesn’t he? What a stark contrast to those elderly mannequins lurching around their garden party squinting in the sun.
I don’t think Lady Sarah was there, but her son was there.
So people stop listening to the BM, when they claim that the English people hate Harry, Chucky should be worried, most of the people outside were young.
So the next You Gov Poll, have a chuckle.
She was, she arrived separately from Charles and Jane though.
If Sarah was there too then that makes at least six Spencers to support Harry and Invictus.
I looked up Charles Spencer’s eulogy for Diana. It’s on the BBC website and well worth reading. The Spencers are traditionally Anglo-Catholic and Diana’s mother converted to Roman Catholicism. The ‘sacred pledge’ declared by her brother was exactly that – a solemn promise declared to Diana in God’s name. There is no way they will not honour such a promise.
This, I think, is the crux of it :
“She talked endlessly of getting away from England, mainly because of the treatment she received at the hands of the newspapers. I don’t think she ever understood why her genuinely good intentions were sneered at by the media, why there appeared to be a permanent quest on their behalf to bring her down. It is baffling.
My own and only explanation is that genuine goodness is threatening to those at the opposite end of the moral spectrum. ”
This, it seems to me, describes what is happening to Harry and Meghan. The whole corrupt relationship between the Palace and the Press is what Harry is fighting .
Thanks Becks 1, I didn’t see her.
anotherlilly: very well said. I agree with you. Harry is a crusader against the corruption that the gutter press and the royal family have engaged in for years, and the victimization of other royals, including himself and his wife, and some celebrities as well as innocent victims of crimes etc. Good on Harry. And he is looking marvelous these days, must be doing something right.
The irony of C trying to snub his child only for Princess Diana’s siblings and their children to show up and out for Harry. Diana being the better parent from the grave.
Harry looked great and everyone looked so happy to see him!
Harry looked like a king walking up the stairs and the crowds was the icing on the cake. I so happy to see his mother side of the family supporting him. Whoever is advising the head of state and heir had to see how bad these looked not sending anyone to represent team IG UK. The world seems to love a good gossip drama about a famous family who would go to extra lengths to punish one of its members. IG2027 can’t be in that island they would do everything to damage it.
Makes you wonder what’s William’s relationship with the Spencer family? Unless you count his cute cousins, he’s seldom around Diana’s sisters and brother. I’ve rarely seen them with Kate.
I’m pretty sure Will’s relationship with the Spencers suffered when Wills called his mother paranoid and parroted Charles and the grey men’s talking points about her.
If he’s willing to say that in public, makes you wonder what Wills says about his mother in private.
I believe W&K did attend a Spencer wedding around the time of their engagement.
But I do think the Spencers are acutely aware that Harry has been treated like “the other” in comparison to William, the heir. I do believe that Diana discussed it with them as the boys were growing up. She was known to correct the Windsors when William would get favourable treatment. I also read, don’t care enough to check, but that Harry inherited more from her knowing that “the Crown” would take care of William for life.
I didn’t see anything positive about Harry here in Oz , sadly.
Definitely not if you watch Sky News, ha, ha. Mainstream news in Australia is pathetic, including all channels, not worth watching.
Harry’s impromptu walkabout afterwards was amazing. He looks so happy and deeply fulfilled, and you can’t buy that or lie about it.
This was such an own-goal by the royal family. they thought Harry would look snubbed, insecure; they thought he would be greeted by boos, etc. Instead he walked up that steps as if he were the king or the next in line and was greeted by love and cheers while Charles and the leftover royals were at a stuffy garden party looking dated and old fashioned.
good king harry indeed!
It’s a cheering theory: the British public might actually rather be aligned with positive action like IG, not hollow status-mongering like the royal garden party.
OK this is a silly thing but want to see if anyone else noticed it: in the embedded video when H is talking to the Earl, the way that his uncle tilts his head to listen to Harry reminded me SO much of how Diana would do that – tilt her head and really listen. It was just so neat.
Anyone else clock that?
I thought the same thing.
Thank you for the LOLs, Kaiser. Arthritic Avengers Assemble! 🤣
The difference in optics between the two events could not be more more stark… inclusiveness vs. exclusiveness, youthfulness vs aging, joyful vs. humorless, energy vs. apathy, modern vs. old fashioned, service vs. self interest….. I could go on FOREVER.
Who thought an impromptu GARDEN PARTY would be the answer to this ceremony? Couldn’t organize a fox hunt, Charles? Were the dogs already booked?
And did I read a slight burn with the description of Camilla’s Broach-speak? Someone is judging, is all I’m saying.
You are so right! I love this post Happyoften!
In total agreement about the difference in optics between the two events. However, I do think that the apparently common belief that the garden party was “impromptu” or scheduled purposely to conflict with the Invictus event needs to be reconsidered. Per the royal.uk website “in summer, the sovereign traditionally hosts 3 garden parties at BP and one at the Palace of Holyrood in Scotland. Throughout the country, a long established network of sponsors is used to invite guests…..they nominate guests for invitation and we hope in this way to achieve a representative cross section of the community.” Over 30,000 guests attend the 4 events in total. According to what I’m finding online, planning begins 6 months before the event and invitations go out 6 weeks in advance. Could Charles have insisted that the date be moved/changed when he got wind of the Invictus service and before invitations were sent? Who knows, but whatever happened, it definitely was not an “impromptu” event.
True. But the IG event was a 10 yr anniversary so it was always going to be this specific date. I don’t think there’s a rule that the first garden party or the year must be on this date. And the press have been talking about the IG anniversary forever, for months and months. Plenty of time for Charles to change the date. He could have months ago had he wanted to. Or the courtiers could have. They should have foreseen that it is bad optics for Charles to attend a garden party while his son honors veterans. More importantly though is what was stopping Charles from seeing Harry the day before when he first arrived in London.
I agree that the garden party would have been organised well in advance but there was nothing to stop the King sending a message to the service thanking the injured service people and to apologise for not being there. It would have made him look a lot better.
I heard that apparently they are calling Charles dead beat dad on social media. I so agree with that. He is truly the definition of a dead beat dad . Harry looked proud, distinguished, handsome, and well put together. So proud of the man he has become. A role model of a husband. A loving dad and an admirable man . I am grateful to his real family the spensers for showing up and showing him unconditional love and support. F chuck and his never was group
If my son grows up to do things like this, nothing would stand in my way of showing my pride in him.
It’s bewildering. I feel like most parents are MORE proud of what their kids do than what they do themselves. My vanity gloats that my child does X, Y, or Z… if I can raise a good kid, that’s a bigger achievement than me just doing something good myself.
ITA, Shawna. The royals really are not like us.
I agree.
This feeling of deep connection with your child, selfless love and pride of them growing into good humans comes from raising and caring for a child on a daily basis. Neither Liz, nor Chuck or the Wailsies are involved in their children’s daily lives like that. This connection is simply missing.
Sadly, the history will repeat itself with George, Charlotte and Louis, because W&K whole image is built around being perfect family. When one of the kids does anything other than being perfect – we’ll see even more struggle to put a lid on it and bring the kid into compliance, because W&C will not act in the kid’s best interest, the priority will always be on how it makes THEM look.
@Anna, you’re totally right. It’s all the work you put into the kids!
For anyone else who reads my first comment in this thread, please don’t think I mean to be on the “you won’t be complete unless you’re a mom” or “kids are the best thing in life” train. I realize now that it could come across that way. It’s definitely what @Anna says for me, not like some maternal instinct but putting in the work and love with your child day in, day out, that makes me feel that way.
Here we have a glimpse of the royal family we could have had – versus the dead duck we’re actually lumbered with. The comparison is not flattering to Charles or William.
And fancy trying to steal focus from an Invictus event, of all things, and thinking that is a good look.
Love that the Spencers showed their public support. The aunts adore Harry – you could see that from how they greeted him at that Diana statue event. They don’t seem nearly as keen on PW.
The UK news programmes were FULL of Harry & Invictus. It lead the 6pm slot on Sky news and was third on the BBC. The King was shown at the Garden Party but only whilst they were continuously talking about Harry. There were NO boos to be heard. One Deranger apparently took herself down there and booed into her phone but Harry was still in the car at that point so wouldnt have heard. By the way, it wasnt until I saw someone posting on insta about getting their MBE yesterday, that I realised Baldilocks was actually at Windsor handing out gongs yesterday morning. Absolutely ZERO press coverage. Both he and his father really got badly served by their PR. Oh well plus ca change plus ce la meme chose LOL.
“Charles had to assemble his version of the Avengers (a bunch of old farts with made-up titles)…”
*falls from her chair from laughing so hard*
PS There has been a second Olivia posting around so I am going to pivot my name to OliviaOne. Thanks.
Harry looks really good! And I’m so happy the Spencer family came through for Harry, it really warms my heart. The Windsors look just like little vengeful people, whose only goal is to spite and cut a couple ribbons twice a month. Your loss RF!
And Charles, nobody gives a flying duck about your garden tea-whatever the hell it was just so you could once again be petty.
Every time they try to back Harry into a corner, it backfires. He handled this random church service for Invictus masterfully – planning a trip to Nigeria with Meghan immediately after, having the Spencers show up to support and prove that Harry does have family in the UK … and look at all that police protection.
Gosh y’all.
Too bad there wasn’t much of a crowd /s
Take THAT RF.
Chuck must be fuming, throwing pens everywhere right about now 🤣
Bics galore.
Makes me think the test of loyalty was for the rota rats.
I know Kendrick wrote the Meet the Grahams track about Drake, but if you switch up Adonis and Harry soooo much of this applies to Charles:
I’m sorry that that man is your father, let me be honest
It takes a man to be a man, your dad is not responsive
I look at him and wish your grandpa woulda wore a condom
I’m sorry that you gotta grow up and then stand behind him
Life is hard, I know, the challenge is always gon’ beat us home
Sometimes our parents make mistakes that affect us until we grown
…
Be proud of who you are, your strength come from within
Lotta superstars that’s real, but your daddy ain’t one of them
And you nothing like him, you’ll carry yourself as king
Harry looked fabulous. As usual. But his energy… The joy, the pride, the confidence. It took it to a whole new level. Show em how it’s done, Harry!
I can imagine Harry doing an event with Fred and Felipe; he would fit right in. Ooh, can you imagine if H&M did a joint event with Fred & Mary and Felipe & Letizia? The fashion alone would be amazing and Wills the sentient potato would be incandescent enough to light up all of England.
If I were Harry, I’d go through with getting US Citizenship, give up all the titles, including the prince title and change his last name to Spencer. Harry seems to have a pretty close bond with them and they don’t seem to care for William. Harry may have lost his biological father but I think the Spencers have been there every step of the way for a long time and done so without press fanfare.
I also think he’s staying with The Spencers. They have the funds to beef up their security for him, they have remote little houses all throughout London. I think he stays with them when in town and I think that roils Charles and Baldy to no end to know they can’t really get under Harry’s skin.
Can he actually give up Prince? Is it a title or just who he is? Also, he seems to have adopted Sussex as a last name not necessarily as a title.
Giving up foreign titles is required if you want to naturalize as a US citizen.
Ofc that doesn’t stop other people from calling you by your title.
I’m anti-monarchy and don’t think Harry needs any made-up titles including Prince, but it seems the titles are meaningful to him and Meghan. Especially as the BM and BRF tried to fk around with Archie and Lilibet’s titles bc they are mixed-Black. If I were Meghan, I’d fight for those titles for that reason alone.
It is part of his name on his birth certificate and on his children’s birth certificates they even had to use the HRH on Lilibet’s birth certificate to conform with the law in California, the name on the parents birth certificate must be used exactly for the child’s birth certificate, Harry got a lot of criticism for conforming to California law because the journalists were too lazy to check
IDK, why should Harry give up his birthright because his family is crap?
So Harry should give up his very young children’s birthrights ….because why?
So far, most of the people I’ve heard this argument from are incensed about having biracial children in the BRF who are in a position to inherit titles.
Harry should give up the ball and chain of his “birthright” to become a US citizen and free himself from the royal trappings.
Agreed with @Blithe – I assume Harry doesn’t want to make the decision FOR his kids, so he leaves their birthright open for them to accept or reject.
His grandmother and father are monarchs. Harry is a prince of the realm by birth.
It’s not a title granted or bestowed, it’s who he is. Even if he quit using it, he would still be a prince because his father is King.
Prince Phillip remained a prince of Greece even though the Greek Monarchy was abolished.
” the House of Sussex” for the win.
This Invictus event was all over my timeline yesterday. Was amazing and such a happy occasion. Was truly heartwarming to see so many Spencers show up. The other royals were a non-factor tbh. There were pictures of people dressed up taking the tube to the event. The crowd seemed happy to greet Harry and the vibes were so positive. Some squaddies there said it felt like being at a summer wedding, where everyone is relaxed and chatty, sharing photos. Would have been great if Meghan could have been there with him but regardless, was an all around amazing day and a fitting tribute to Invictus. Much respect to Harry and everyone who showed up and showed out to support him and Invictus.
That’s why William “fucking hates Harry” no matter how hard they go at him he rises above it. No matter how the palaces say he is hated the crowds say otherwise when he visits. No matter how many lies the experts spill the truth always comes out. They cant accept that the world is larger than their island and their tabloid opinion only sways those who already had those thoughts, because the rest of the world sees the truth not the smears and lies generated to placate a dying industry withering in death throws and the desperation of the people clothed and fed by that industry
Harry really accomplished something incredible with Invictus … that’s why he inspires so much love from the IG families and other military folks. And I imagine that’s one of the reasons the Spencers turned out in full force — because Diana was a doer, too, and I’m sure they’re fiercely proud of Harry for what he’s created. And they love and support him because they’re actual human beings who understand what family means.
Charles and his sad band of left-behinds, though, expect acclaim just for existing. And that was never clearer than yesterday. The contrast was stunning and clear.
William seems to have distanced himself from his mothers siblings, as the heir he must feel so superior , so he has picked the profitable side , mean and petty as he is . Harry however has all Diana’s flair and charisma and I am so happy his Spencer family was there for him. Harry is Diana all over again or as she deserved to be , with a loving and devoted partner. What a man , what a prince .
#GoodKingHarry
the best revenge is living well and he’s living proof
He really is the best of all of them. He’s done the work. Imagine…imagine!!! If he was king, the good he could do. All Wills will do is enjoy the perks and bang his head against the wall to protect the institution.
Things are moving at warp speed and royalty as we know it is plummeting to hell in a handbasket. No way is William ever going to be King ..
From your words to God’s ears. Seriously…imagine the good that could be done if the wealth that was given to the BRF every year went to the people of the UK.
If the British people miss Harry, they know who to blame (hint: it ain’t Meghan or America or Oprah).
Goodness how they see what they lost
Harry shines wherever he goes, but when it’s Invictus related it goes to the next level. He’s so passionate about IG and he sincerely cares. That’s what the military service members, active and inactive, are getting from him when he’s around. You can’t fake that.
I’d love to see a comparison of the crowd numbers between this event & that thing Chuck & Willy are doing next week?
Harry be playing chess while the Windsors are playing checkers…
I was wondering if Diana’s family would show up! Both of Diana’s sisters are in Archie’s christening photos so I think the good relationship between the Spencers and the Sussexes goes back since Meghan and Harry started dating. One thing you can count on with the Spencers: they will not give any info to the British media. We know Earl Spencer has no love for the Windsors. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s who Harry stays with when he does visit the UK.
I was also hoping to see Eugenie and Jack but they’ve got young kids and I think Harry understands the awkward position it would put them in. I think Eugenie has noped out of a lot of royal family stuff. Anyways it seemed like a beautiful service and everyone still loves Harry.
People should blast “Nothing compares 2 U” by Sinéad O’Connor as the anthem for Prince Harry anytime he appears in the UK or wherever the BM try to stalk him!
Well as someone who was dreading this service and hoping the Harry just filmed a short greeting I must say that was as fun 24 hours! The polite but shady comment from his spokesperson, seeing the Spencers supporting him and the enthusiastic crowds inside and outside was so fun! And the best part is the royal reporters who are not stupid know full well how badly Team Windsor looked yesterday and are working overtime to try to spin things. Lots of commentary from regular people online basically calling Charles a dogshit father. Win win win!
Charles must be fuming that the Spencer side of the family showed up, William must be mad because he considers that only HIM gets to talk (badly) about and represent Diana.
@Nutella toast, I am sorry about your hair loss. I was told to try magnesium. @VilleRose, best wishes for you and your mother. @Princess K, thank you, thank you, thank you for your report. I’m so excited. And I teared up. I know: I’m a sentimental slob.
I heard a podcast last night where the host said that Charles would be just a footnote in history, if that. And that Elizabeth was on the throne for 70 years, and nobody talks about her. I am continually stupefied by the royals, and keep trying to come up with new words so that I am not too repetitive. I came up with stupefied today. Was so glad to hear the video where people are telling Harry they love him, and Meghan too.
Do the English have no agency so that they can vote the member of the BRF that they want on the throne?
I love that the Spencers turned out for Harry. Reminds the haters that the Windsors are not the only family. One of the most aristocratic families in the UK also are. I love the optics.
I really like Harry’s suits -he really looks polished with alll that ginger snap-he carries himself in a professional manner with a slight edge of charisma-Good show Harry.
He looks relaxed and happy and the UK media aren’t going to convince me otherwise. Good for him.
