The Mail’s military experts said Prince William doesn’t have his brother’s swagger

It’s been two days since King Charles and Prince William’s handover event at Middle Wallop, where Charles officially made William the colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps. Prince Harry served in Afghanistan as an Apache pilot in the Army Air Corps. Harry trained for years to be able to fly Apaches, as he detailed in Spare. William doesn’t have the intelligence or patience to actually learn how to fly a complicated machine like the Apache. But William does have the audacity to try to “one up” his brother by posing in the Army Air uniform and posing for photos in the Apache. As I said, it’s been two days and I’m still astounded by just how poorly this scrambled-together event went, to the point where even the Mail’s military sources are sort of mocking William.

Getting to grips with the Apache helicopter was easy for ‘accomplished pilot’ Prince William – but Prince Harry demonstrated more flair and ‘Top Gun swagger’, experts have said. The heir to the throne, who is a former RAF search and rescue pilot and flew an air ambulance for two years, took control of the fearsome multi-million pound gunship on Monday, flying it from an Army airfield in Hampshire.

William’s debut came as he was made the Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps during a rare royal outing with King Charles, where he was welcomed by his younger brother’s former unit – the 662 Squadron.

Defence expert Philip Ingram, a former Colonel in British military intelligence, said getting to grips with the basics of an Apache would be relatively straightforward for ‘accomplished pilot’, William. But the veteran officer said there was a big difference between simply getting the state-of-the-art gunship off the ground and flying it into combat like Prince Harry did during his time in Afghanistan. And while William appeared confident behind the stick, a body language expert has claimed his younger brother appeared to have more ‘Top Gun swagger’ when he was in the cockpit.

Col Ingram told MailOnline: ‘There is a difference between flying it and fighting it – I have flown a Harrier Jump Jet where I was in sole control for a good 20 to 25 minutes – it was a two-seater – but the instructor was shadowing my every movement. William is an accomplished helicopter pilot so taking control and flying wouldn’t be difficult with an instructor’s supervision.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Basically, William did the same thing he did as an air ambulance pilot – he sat in the cockpit and made vroom-vroom sounds while the “co-pilot” did all of the work. It’s difficult to have BDE when you’re obsessed with copying everything your little brother did but you don’t want to put in any of the work. William really thought he could put on the uniform and sit bewildered in the cockpit and people would rush to say he was clearly “better” than Harry. It does beg the question… what do actual military figures think about all of this jealousy and pettiness coming from the heir? How do they feel about being used in the Windsors’ increasingly unhinged games?

  1. Uh oh Peg isn’t going to like hearing that truth. Maybe he will get mad and throw his slippers with the fighter jets on them. Of course he is nothing like his brother his brother is better at everything and Peg can’t stand that fact.

    • Moniquep says:

I believe that there is a vast difference between sitting in the pilot’s seat with an instructor next to you, and actually flying this machine in combat with enemy forces shooting at you.
In the uniform he reminds me of the pictures of them as kids. He just looks like a kid playing dress up.

      • goofpuff says:

With that shade thrown at him, its clear the military folks are really angry at the Windsors doing their best to tank their chances at bringing the Invictus Games to the UK. When UK loses to DC no thanks to the Winsor’s lack of support and scorn to IG, I expect even more anger to come out.

      • Lily says:

He is not flying that thing he is sitting in front the one who is flying is the pilot in the back, the one infront is the one who is shooting the enemy. They want him to look like he can do better everything than his brother but let’s be real when he was a rescue pilot he did not work he was second in “command” there was another pilot who did the job but Bulliem was presented like some hero. There is a huge difference flying the helicopter (that cost 8 million) he got as gift from his granny (btw Harry got nothing) and flying a apache in irak

    • Debbie says:

Yes to all you’ve both said, plus for some reason, William’s “I want to be a big boy” attempt reminds me of the video of him trying to negotiate the balance beam thing. Then, when the camera panned out, you could see all his handlers with outstretched arms, ready to catch poor William if he should fall. Meanwhile Harry was climbing up a rope in another event. William likes to be photographed doing all these big boy things as long as he has plenty of backup.

    • what's inside says:

Billy looked like a wanna be terminator trying to make sense of an instruction manual titled How to Fly for Intermediate Learners. He is thinking “how does this work again?”

      • therese says:

@Ianne. I did enjoy this. William is so delicate. With his little hands up in the air.

      • Cara says:

There he is thumbing through his copy of Apache Helicopters for Dummies.

  2. Sandy8 says:

“he sat in the cockpit and made vroom-vroom sounds while the “co-pilot” did all of the work”

Ahahhaha I had to smile broadly at this, I just know it’s so true!!! Perfect description of His Baldness.

    • Pinkosaurus says:

I can’t believe none of the clowns at KP have realized that William NEVER wins the “who wore it better” against Harry. Never. They need to stop.

      • ML says:

Right?! This was so stupid of him. I am even charitable enough at the moment to believe Egg can actually fly the thing, but he is truly delusional if he thought he could take his brother’s place. I really hope he appreciates being told that he was adequate, but his brother did it better, and H did it in combat. Seriously, he just let himself be evaluated as second-best by the military in a very, very RF-and-Egg friendly newspaper. And brought more attention to the fact that he forced his brother out during the time when his brother was just welcomed back with open arms by the English and Nigerians. Dumb move.

      • Moniquep says:

That is a contest William will never win. Although he is an inch taller than Harry, he has a low confidence slouch. Harry has a regal / military posture and could wear a potato sack and look like a GQ model. Harry is just hands down miles ahead of egghead.

    • Caitlin says:

“he sat in the cockpit and made vroom-vroom sounds while the “co-pilot” did all of the work”

Doesn’t this pretty much sum up his very existence and his & Kate’s approach to royal work in general? They delegate all the grunt work to others and then show up for the fan fare and take all the credit.

    • PC says:

It cost the UK taxpayers between £5k to £6k for that fool to play pretend warrior in that Apache. Not including man power. When when they get tired of these PR shenanigans?

    • Blackapinay says:

This has me chuckling in my cubicle at work today. All that’s missing is Willy telling his co(pilot), “Make it go faster!” like a three year old in a carousel. *snort*

      • Gabby says:

Good thing it wasn’t armed. I could see him wanting to cosplay the combat part.

    • MY3CENTS says:

What about his big boy airplane slippers? Was he wearing them?

    • Bad Janet says:

lol, that’s what I said yesterday, except it was “pew pew.”

BBC said he “went up in” the Apache. Only the fail wanted to give him credit for flying it, and even then they said he did it with a manual on his lap. Clearly he was leading the charge!

  3. AMTC says:

    What a complete tool.

    • Agnes says:

LARPing in his GI Joke uniform, full of stolen valor and bile.

      • Miranda says:

According to my husband, William wearing fatigues is even worse than the dress uniform. The latter is certainly eyeroll-worthy, but it’s a tradition that has quite a bit of history on its side. Fatigues, on the other hand, are more like actual “work clothes”. And we all know that William would never.

      • Agnes says:

Miranda, I bet it makes his blood boil. Butthole Bill is a thief.

    • Giddy says:

Yes! You can practically hear him telling the photographer “ Make me look heroic!”

      • Becks1 says:

he wanted pictures of himself in an apache to try to one up all those pictures of Harry. He’s so pathetic.

      • Lilly (with the double-L) says:

One thing I noticed in the photos today, and yesterday, is they have his face in view when he’s talking to a semi-circle group, but not others faces. Other faces are only shown when they’re walking. I think he’s very afraid of similar expressions to his rizz that the actresses at the BAFTAS had all over their faces.

      • Bad Janet says:

To be fair, when taking photos with celebs, people want to see the celebs.

  4. seaflower says:

He’s lost any ounce of attractiveness he once had. SDE abounds for Tape Worm William (that first photo is giving awkward 1950’s nerd with a tatty brown cardigan and glasses impact).

  5. Barbara says:

How can Egg be both scrawny and dumpy? For someone with such an overinflated ego you’d think he could stand up straighter.

    • seaflower says:

Why would he bother when he’s constantly “winning’ sexiest bald man “polls”.

      • SussexWatcher says:

Seaflower – you’re exactly right. As everyone keeps saying, why isn’t he worried about looking like a loser (again) when the comparisons to Harry are made? It’s because of this right here – he has a household full of people straight up lying to his face and stroking his tiny, fragile ego! Everyone around him is probably telling him how manly he looks and how he’s better than Harry at everything, even when he was most likely “flying” the Apache with his driver’s ed teacher at the actual controls. He doesn’t realize what a loser he is because he’s surrounded by sycophants, praising everything he says and does.

    • Snuffles says:

Thank you! I was about to post the same thing!!

    • Harpervalleypta says:

He has his knees locked, so his legs are bending backwards. He has his hip cocked, and his shoulders are nowhere level.

His posture has always been terrible, but this? Especially in a military uniform when the people who normally wear them are trained to have great posture? Absolutely terrible.

  6. Eurydice says:

Omg, this is so sad. And William looking so pale and weak and spindly in front of that “fearsome gunship.”

    • Christine says:

I can’t believe no one told him pretending to fly an Apache was idiotic, at best! Everyone who’s read Spare knows flying an Apache is not like flying any old helicopter, Harry was so detailed about his training, likely anticipating this exact scenario. Add in how much an Apache costs, and the only thing they were ever going to do is let him sit in one.

The hubris of William makes him look like such a a pathetic little man.

      • Bad Janet says:

It almost has me wondering if the calls are actually coming from inside the house! We know millions of people read Spare. The extensive training he underwent for the Apache was a big part of the book.

I am dying to know if someone suggested this “Willy flew the Apache!” storyline to make him look like a complete tool, or if Huevo really thought “Harry did it so I want to!” and no one wanted to tell him that it would inevitably put a spotlight on comparisons to Harry. Either is plausible.

  7. Nanea says:

Why doesn’t anyone point out the elephant in the room?

William never qualified to fly an Apache, his certificate for flying the type of helis that the EAAA uses lapsed years ago, so he didn’t belong in the cockpit in the first place. In fact, he poses a security risk once he starts touching things.

Not only that, his poor eyesight makes him a risk – and I’m sure they don’t want a repeat of the incident when Charles crashed QEII’s personal jet in the early 1970ies, with passengers on board. An Apache is *a lot* more expensive.

And who cares about the Prince of Ales’s swagger, when he’s lacking all other things needed in a leader, all the things Harry has in spades, like charisma, (emotional) intelligence, natural curiosity, ability to learn, self-awareness.

As we’ve all said so many times before: Bulliam’s only qualification for the job is that he was born first.

    • Christine says:

Yes! The amount of disbelief they are asking us to suspend is too much this time. I don’t believe he is qualified to fly the most rudimentary helicopter. I don’t even believe he has a current pilot’s license, much less can fly an Apache.

Put another way, it is more believable that Tom Cruise could fly a fighter jet, because he is a notoriously hard worker. William is the exact opposite.

    • SussexWatcher says:

Exactly, Nanea! And also, wasn’t he a co-pilot?! Even when he wasn’t shirking his duty so often that his colleagues had to cover shifts for him (including all holidays) to the point his license almost lapsed, he was never a pilot. Let alone a pilot of an Apache helicopter.

    • Square2 says:

From the photos #3 & 4, counting from the last one, I’m imagining the “co-pilot” & the ground crew told him, “Don’t touch anything, just pretend you know what you’re doing.”

    • [insert_catchy_name] says:

I can’t believe he flew it- it is a super complicated piece of military hardware (not to mention expensive!). If anyone could fly it, they wouldn’t require a 6 month intensive training course.

  8. Laura D says:

In the nicest possible way the defence expert is reminding people that William is just the figurehead who should leave the real fighting to his “little brother.” 😆 😆 😆

I’m wondering how long it will be before we see an Uberapache flying over Kensington Palace! 😉

    • Becks1 says:

I love it. He really is giving William a pat on the head – “it wouldn’t be hard to fly it for an accomplished pilot with supervision but that’s not the same thing as what Harry did.”

I mean, LOL for days. He’s just saying what we all said a few days ago – William is so desperate to one up Harry at every opportunity and he ends up looking….well, desperate.

  9. Jais says:

Huh. I actually didn’t even believe he flew it. But I guess he did with supervision? Slow clap?

    • Christine says:

There’s no way they let him fly it, it’s too expensive to risk. It’s more royal smoke and mirrors, the same way limply shoveling a tiny bit of dirt equals planting an entire tree to these people. I can’t believe no one told him he was going to look like a fool.

  10. Feeshalori says:

I’m amazed at the instructor’s flexibility sitting like a pretzel on the aircraft. I wonder if he got more contorted as he tried pounding the facts in William’s head.

    • windyriver says:

Absolutely! He looks so relaxed, while his arm appears to be attached to his left knee. And there seems to be a lot of meaning in that finger pointed at Will. Nothing says fierce combat pilot, like a picture of someone sitting in the cockpit appearing to read the instruction manual.

  11. Jks says:

Deliberately misleading. He sat in the gunner seat and didn’t pilot the Apache. Just a huge waste of money for a stupid publicity stunt.

It’s like when he went to NY and the press kept printing is name and UN general assembly in the headlines to deliberately mislead the public.

    • Feeshalori says:

No defense of William since he’s such a fraud but what I’ve read, Apaches can be flown from either the front or the rear seat. When Harry flew that demo, he was in the front seat and as a gunner and pilot he was accustomed to flying in that position.

      • Jks says:

        You are right.

I certainly hope they didn’t indulge his childish fantasies and let him fly though!!!

      • Feeshalori says:

I’ll bet the actual pilot/driving instructor in the rear had his hands on the controls at all times while William was faffing around up front.

    • LivingDesert says:

“The crew sits in tandem, with the pilot sitting behind and above the co-pilot/gunner.[41] Both crew members are capable of flying the aircraft and performing methods of weapon engagements independently.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_AH-64_Apache

  12. Goldenkatz says:

This is giving Ron DeSantis Top Gun vibes. Most people outside the military can’t pull off this look—it looks obviously fake.

  13. Over it says:

He made vroom vroom noises, kasiser you kill me every day 😁😁😁

  14. Hypocrisy says:

These clowns have turned the Monarchy into a joke.. I’m sure there are many eye rolls and wtf when the real military has to show up for these self given awards that are unearned. I actually think Peggy and his Pa may be more psychotic and delusional than Trump.

    • Brassy Rebel says:

In fairness, the monarchy was a joke before Charles and William were born. But I do think there must be real resentment from the British military over all their stolen valor. Some of that bitterness seeps through in this article.

  15. Cel2495 says:

That man-child did not fly jack 💩! He just sat there for pics and pretended to fly lol. He will never be like Harry , doesn’t matter what he tries to do. Never. What the military feels about him? Think it’s right between the lines… Harry is far better “ there is a big difference between flying it to a point B and flying it in combat” or whatever that colonel said. So there is a difference between doing the work and just showing up for a photo.

    • Feeshalori says:

Harry can literally fly circles around this wannabe fly boy. In that demo video posted yesterday, he flew that Apache nearly upside down. That takes experience, skill and balls of steel. All traits that this dress-up poseur sorely lacks.

  16. SueBarbri33 says:

It’s odd how he turned out so poorly. He’s just a low effort, low vibrational version of a prince. He always seems annoyed by the press and the attention, but he’s also always annoyed when he doesn’t get the press and attention. What a weird guy. He used to look quite good in a uniform, particularly with a hat, but not anymore. I wonder what happened to Kate.

  17. tamsin says:

They let William fly an Apache for real? Just so he could say he also flies Apache’s. I didn’t think they would let just anybody fly that machine. That must have been the bribe that got William to appear for the pointless ceremony-you can fly the Apache so that Harry doesn’t have anything over you.

    • Pinkosaurus says:

I’m certain this is the Drivers Education/Learn to Fly version that the real pilot is flying it and William just has hand on the stick after being told to TOUCH NOTHING ELSE.

  18. L84Tea says:

Has anybody ever seen the episode of ‘The Office’ where they’re on the booze cruise and the captain let’s Dwight think he’s steering the whole ship, but really it’s just a fake wheel at the front for decoration, and he’s actually making an ass out of himself thinking he’s doing something amazing? Yeah…total booze cruise vibes here.

  19. s808 says:

The thumbnail photo of him looks like he was forced to play dress up 😭

  20. Maxine Branch says:

This is all so farcical and ridiculous at this point. You cannot phantom the amount of wasted time and energy being used to trump a person who have paid you their good bye’s long ago. Something is seriously wrong with those Windsor’s.

  21. Amy Bee says:

I seem to remember Harry saying that William was jealous that he was training to be an Apache pilot so this is a dream come true for William. This new role was never going to be Harry’s if he had remained as a working royal because of William’s jealousy.

    • Moniquep says:

Not just because of Billy’s jealousy, it’s a role held by Prince of Wales. Charles had it for 30yrs.

I really hope that Harry is truly over his family, and is seriously not even paying attention or letting any of this get to him. Please God?

      • Christine says:

I have to believe this just cracked him up. It’s the only reaction that makes sense. Harry’s passion is supporting active and retired military, and he must know that all of them know this is BS.

  22. Lady Digby says:

Did he do a decent job while he was an air ambulance pilot?

    • Liz says:

Didn’t he mostly skip shifts and leave his colleagues to fill in

      • Lady Digby says:

So was the appeal that it was shift work eg 4 days on and the four days off? Because I can remember something about him using the downtime as an excuse STILL not to do any royal engagements?

      • Feeshalori says:

@Liz, that’s correct. He barely showed up for his shifts and nearly became unqualified because of his lack of flight hours from what I remember reading at that time. He had to put in extra hours to catch up.

      • Becks1 says:

There were some quotes a few years ago from people in the EAAA – he didnt’ show up for his less than part time shifts, and I think he refused to ever work a holiday. So I would imagine that Christmas shifts, for example, either went to the newest pilots or were rotated through the staff, and he refused.

This all came out – if I’m remembering my timeline correctly – because someone at KP put out there yet again that he couldn’t be a FT royal because of his work at the EAAA and then a reporter talked to people there and they were like “uhhhh……”

And I think he never qualified as a pilot, only a co-pilot, and then his hours lapsed like @Feeshalori said.

It’s very notable that there are never any photo ops of him with people he worked with, either at the RAF in Wales or the EAAA in Norfolk. Like no engagements with “reunion pics” or anything like that.

    • lanne says:

No, he did not do a decent job. He was scheduled part time, and barely showed up even for that. It was a fake job.

      • Lady Digby says:

@ Thanks Lanne so no change to his MO of not pulling his weight at any time through his life?

      • Liz says:

Thanks Feeshalori – I remember many years ago I read William loved preening like a peacock in uniform. But not actually doing the job that goes with it.

    • Magdalena says:

He was never a pilot though, was he? He was a co-pilot. The British media has been embiggening him for years by describing him as a pilot and then calling him now an “accomplished” pilot despite being unable to list anything of accomplishment that he has ever done in the field of flying. And he barely worked at that air ambulance job. He used it to get out of doing royal work but was using the excuse of royal work to get out of shifts at the ambulance service.

      • Feeshalori says:

And if I also remember correctly from that time, the commander of the EAAA was replaced because he was somewhat critical of William’s lack of work and a more sympathetic CO was assigned. So his colleagues and superior weren’t happy with him at all.

    • Tessa says:

He skipped shifts. He had to have a security officer go with him and he bragged that he donated the 60000 salary to charity he did not say which charity. Why was he given a salary in the first place and he got photo ops playing dress up

      • Feeshalori says:

They think we don’t know about William’s antics with the EAAA. Most of us have been long time royal watchers and remember those incidents unfolding in real time and don’t forget. I remember about that salary issue too, and how they refused to name which charity he supposedly donated it too. This is why they are so stupid in setting up comparisons like these with Harry because we have long memories and remember all the stories swirling around William and how William used to renege on his responsibilities as a copilot. We also remember how his grandmother purchased a large enough helicopter for the EAAA to seat his RPOs who had to accompany him on the job.

  23. Libra says:

I was going to comment that William should be drowning in embarrassment for playing dress up and pretend pilot, but then reality hit; William is beyond being embarrassed. What the normal person feels is not natural to him.

    • Vader says:

Agreed, a sensible person would realize their little stunt would invite unfavorable comparisons to harry. I am stumped because someone on his team should have said this is a bad idea. I wonder if chucky forced wank to do this.

  24. CatMum says:

But, but, he’s actually looking at his notes for once!

Has anyone seen my eyes? I think they may have rolled under the couch.

  25. OriginalMich says:

Is there a pilot equivalent of “all hat, no cattle”?

    • nutella toast says:

      All hanger, no air?
      All taxi, no lift?
      All flight check, no flight?

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

OriginalMich, not what you were looking for, but the only thing I keep thinking is: The engine started, but the prop fell off.

  26. Beverley says:

Deep down, Pegs knows he’s inferior to Prince Harry. Nothing can change that.
And he hates him for that.

  27. Mslove says:

Let’s send Peg over to Gaza in his Apache so he can end the Israel-Hamas war. He’s totally qualified to do that, right?

    • Liz says:

Didn’t they tell him ‘First, make peace with your brother’ 😀

      • Tsar says:

        @Liz
They did indeed. And that’s a measure of the fragility of those snowflakes – they actually think falling out with one’s brother over his choice of wife is in any way comparable to committing the slaughter of tens of thousands of people.

  28. Ben says:

That’s one of the many reasons William hates Harry. He’s very aware of that. Also Harry is aging better. Like a corner of the internet says Diana saw how shitty William turned out and snatched her genes back. William have the face he deserves.

  29. Square2 says:

🥚 “flew” Apache VS Prince Harry
    =
I drove a F1 race car in an empty parking lot (car park for you Brits) VS Hamilton drives in the F1 races.

  30. Water Lilly says:

William doesn’t have anybody’s swagger. That level of gormless is sui generis.

  31. Mego says:

How can somebody have all possibilities and do absolutely nothing with it? IT blows my mind. Abolish the monarchy.

    • jemmy says:

He may have had all the opportunities and trappings of wealth but really was emotionally neglected by his pa. In addition to being damaged he is also untrained.

It’s often said that Boys need their father in order to become a man. As we all know pa was absent and everyone seems to be “yes” people. He has no self awareness of himself. Marrying KKhiate also did not help matters.

Miraculously ,Harry had solid mentors who looked out for him plus joining the army really provided him with structure & discipline.

  32. Ange says:

Peg looks like a kid who just shit his pants

  33. QuiteContrary says:

“the veteran officer said there was a big difference between simply getting the state-of-the-art gunship off the ground and flying it into combat like Prince Harry did during his time in Afghanistan.”

That burn is going to leave a mark.

William’s need to compete with Harry is pathological and pathetic — and pointless, because he continues to fail.

  34. Cassie says:

Where is his mate Tom to play Top Gun with .😂
Oh William you look pathetic , give it up you will never be as cool as Harry .

  35. Thea says:

My copy of “Spare” is at home while I am working today and I am not a military person, but I recall Harry described his duties are more than simply flying a helicopter in combat and avoiding enemy fire. I think he had to plan and call the shots of the operation and look out for his whole team to provide cover for the ground troops and anticipate when to swoop in to evacuate them. That layer of complexity and anxiety on top of knowing how to properly fly the Apache at risk of enemy fire is way beyond the skills of most people, let alone anyone remaining in the entire BRF. Willy is simply a poser and an example of how malignant narcissism festers and deludes itself in an entire system catering to it. He would be pitiful if not for his gross entitlement, abusive rages, and utter uselessness.

    • Moniquep says:

      Yes, Harry did all that.
Big baby willy needs to go sit in a corner and suck his thumb, and stop trying to compete where he can’t compare. He’s only succeeding to make himself look smaller every day.

  36. Jaded says:

Mr. Jaded was a helicopter pilot for many years, flying forestry/geological research teams in the far north and Arctic to ferrying supplies and personnel at a huge dam project in Quebec/Labrador to firefighting. He said despite his vast experience he could NEVER step into an Apache and pretend to know what he was doing let alone even co-pilot it. So another huge whopper it told trying to embiggen Egghead and compare him to his ACTUAL Apache-flying hero of a brother. Utterly shameless.

This only reminds me of when they both arrived at Harry’s wedding in essentially the same uniform and it was Harry who stood out not just because it was his day but because my goodness Harry looks good in a uniform. Then seeing all of the grandchildren of the Queen surrounding her casket for the week long mourning period, it was Harry who even surrounded by the others that looked handsome and distinguished even next to the heir. This is a fight that William is playing by himself yet never wins. He should just give up because it’s really embarrassing.

I feel like the Royal Family is trying a new strategy. They’re flowering the Sussex’s with positive press to lull then into a false state of a security before they pull the rug out from underneath them somehow. Or they’re doing the whole acting unbothered will really bother the opps strategy. Except Harry will remain unbothered and he will know the strategy. He’s a blood Prince after all. Their whole doubling down, flaunting Prince Andrew in public, “Hell Yea we’re despicable depraved racist haggard grifting animals! Whatchu gonna do about it?!” angle……That was backfiring for some reason.

I don’t think I realized until now that Billy Idle wasn’t kept to the same stringent requirements as others when he went into the military. I now think that if training got hard the instructors didn’t push him to do it. What did they think would happen? He didn’t leave (like Edward), but he was passed through. I just can’t think how anything else makes sense.

This was a particularly poor choice. Not only does Billy Idle not know how to fly an Apache, but the people in Harry’s unit are well aware of what Harry did while in the military and that he did it well. Why would anyone think this was a match made in heaven?

Why are the brf, including the grey men, so bad at this?

Will once absconded with a RAF helicopter which landed in the Middltons’ garden. And he caught no consequences. Instead his superiors had to concoct a story about an exercise to the papers.

You don’t say? He misses the swagger, the sexy, the bravery, the integrity, the work ethic, just everything really. In other words, William is a dud. And he revels in it, really.
