Another day, another horrible accusation coming out of the Charlie Sheen camp. Earlier this week, we heard about how Brooke Mueller allegedly went into rehab while she was pregnant with their twin boys. Brooke’s camp later denied it, but worded to the specifics: “I know that’s not true. I’m very familiar with the situation, and that’s totally not true. She was not in rehab for alcohol abuse while pregnant. That never occurred. She’s an incredible mother; it’s amazing to see her with her children.” So, she could have gone to rehab when she wasn’t pregnant? I think that’s what they’re saying. Which actually does give me some relief – at least Brooke wasn’t drinking while pregnant, maybe.
Anyway, today’s accusation is about Brooke going into rehab again… but this time, not for alcohol, but for crack. Oh, yes. Charlie’s people are now saying Brooke was a crackhead:
Charlie Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller was addicted to crack and ended up getting in-patient treatment in rehab, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Mueller was treated at Beit T’Shuvah in Los Angeles, said a friend who knew her while she was there. Beit T’Shuvah’s addiction recovery model relies, in part, on a combination of Jewish spirituality and therapy. It offers both in-patient and out-patient care.
“Brooke got in-patient treatment,” said her friend. “There were times when she would disappear for a couple days and come back with bruises and a hospital bracelet on her wrist. She had a serious problem.”
Mueller has also been through alcohol rehab, as RadarOnline.com previously reported. And husband Charlie Sheen, who has done two stints in rehab, was boozing again on Christmas when he was arrested on domestic violence charges.
Sheen even had a “sober minder” with him while he was boozing. He has not publicly addressed the fact that he has relapsed.
Mueller was previously arrested for cocaine possession and DUI. And although her lawyer has called what happened on Christmas one bad night, both Mueller and Sheen have a history of boozing, battling and addiction. Mueller’s rehab for crack addiction was in the early 2000s.
Yale Galanter, who famously represented O.J. Simpson, denied that Brooke had been in alcohol rehab while pregnant. It should be noted that Galanter once gave numerous national interviews denying a published report that O.J. was writing a booking describing how he “could” have committed the murders of his ex-wife and her friend. Weeks later, Simpson admitted he was writing the book and Galanter was embarrassed.
Now RadarOnline.com has uncovered his new client’s history of addiction.
“While in rehab she ended up in the hospital several times,” said the friend who knew Brooke during that time. “She would leave rehab and go buy crack. Sometimes she ended up getting hurt.”
Galanter has said that Mueller wants to stay married to Sheen but RadarOnline.com has reported she has already spoken to a divorce lawyer and wants to improve her prenuptial deal. Sheen’s people are hoping that she will soften her story of what happened the morning Charlie was arrested, because the Two and a Half Men star is facing a prison sentence in Colorado.
And, as RadarOnline.com previously reported, Sheen pushed her to the ground earlier in the marriage, causing her to hit her head and go to a doctor.
Both Sheen and Mueller have told friends they are miserable in the marriage but publicly they are trying to minimize the damage from the domestic violence incident because both have a lot at stake financially.
[From Radar]
So, Brooke was in rehab for crack in “the early 2000s” and maybe went to rehab for alcohol while she was married to Charlie, but not when she was pregnant. And Charlie has been in rehab God knows how many times. And they’re both in full-blown relapses, no matter what. Just how is the release of this information supposed to make Charlie look good? He gets to say, “Don’t blame me, she’s a crackhead!” Well, he married her.
Brooke and Charlie in LA on May 31, 2005, maybe a short time after Brooke’s crack rehab? Also, Brooke in LA on November 27, 2007. Credit: Fame Pictures.
If you’re gonna pick a drug to be addicted to, why in hell would it be CRACK?? Yikes. I’ll take good old opiates any day! But seriously, this chick has ISSUES….lol I’d imagine you’d have to to marry Charlie Sheen! I feel for the babies in all this, the parents both are f*ckups and unfortunately the children will pay the price. Sad, but it’s apparently the way of the world. And people wonder why a libertarian like me supports having to have a license to breed….HERE’S THE ANSWER! LOL!
My god, Charlie is ugly. He must be good in the sack.
OK, Now Charlie is just being mean.
I think this is a load of baloney, and besides I seriously question Charlie’s judgment a) impregnating a woman with a serious alcohol and crack addiction b) leaking all this to the public to make the mother of his children look so bad.
I said it once, I’ll say it again. All these “leaks” from Charlie’s camp aiming to make Charlie look sympathetic only make him look worse. He is a violent sociopath and WE ALL know it.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, THEY DESERVE EACH OTHER.
While I am not naive enough to think this woman is an angel, I hope people can see Sheen’s hand in this!
I fired off a nasty email yesterday to CBS and my thoughts on Sheen and his show. I am sure my little email will not make a difference, but it sure felt good to tell them off.
I think people should take a serious stand against domestic violence and one way to do it is to show networks like CBS, that it’s viewers do not think highly of women beaters, and tell them so. Sheen is, I believe, the HIGHEST paid actor on a network. Should this scum bag be rewarded for years of violence towards women by continuing on in that series?
I may be alone here, but that is how I feel. If anyone cares, go to CBS.com and then on the main page scroll to the bottom to the “Feedback” link and tell them how you feel about this woman beater.
People want everyone to boycott Chris Brown and his shows and CD sales, nothing is any different with Sheen.
All of these “leaks” from his camp don’t make me think less of her at all; don’t know her, don’t care. However, these leaks point up how reprehensible HE is. This is standard modus operandi for abusive partners – denigrate their victims and wipe out any possible sympathy for them. It is just further abuse, of the psychological variety. You can be certain he will try and alienate her children from her as well. He is a disgusting human being. And he is currently the highest paid actor on TV??? That’s disgusting too.
Birdie, I agree. If she’s so horrible, why did he marry and have children with her? Of course, she chose him too. They’re both morons with serious problems.
But you’re also right in that all this is only making him look worse too.
Actually, ROL discovered her crack-rehab stint, as far as I read this a.m. Also, her attorney (who is denying the claims) is the same one who denied O.J. was writing a book, and it came out a later O.J was, in fact, writing said book.
I don’t think either one of them deserve the kids. They are POS’s IMO, and if it weren’t for the children involved, I say they deserve each other. She knew about his past as an abuser and an addict, and he (obviously) knew about hers as an addict and a gold-digger. File both of these sh!theads under “Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it” and be done with them.
@Firestarter – you’re not alone – it’s obvious we’re on the same page here – good for you for commenting to the network. Everyone who agrees should take a minute and do the same.
Hey Firestarter! You and I are on the same page as far as domestic abuse goes (we know that from our previous posts, no?). Thanks for the info on feedback to CBS – I would boycott, but I can’t boycott something I don’t watch already (not just Sheen’s show, but CBS & network TV in general). But I am totally qualified to send them an email expressing my dissatisfaction with Sheen’s behaviour. 😉
These let’s-trash-Brooke leaks make Charlie and his people look bad more than Brooke. ROL may have “found” this latest info, but I wonder who led them to the source and if it is true.
Brooke’s biggest problem is that she married down.
@Bella- Indeed we are.
I have never really watched 2,5 Men, but even not being a viewer, I still think it is important to let CBS know that by standing by Sheen, they, in some way, stand by domestic violence.
It made me SICK to read that his first day back on the set after the incident, the cast and crew were all yucking it up with Sheen, like the whole thing was a big joke.
Thanks Bella and Lee- emails to the network, no matter how we think it might not help, do say something, especially if we all take the time out to send one.
Something else that kind of bothers me- The Chris Brown posts had no less than 30 comments, and sometimes over 100 on them, but the Sheen/Mueller posts generate very little. It amazes me that people were so irrate with Brown, but somehow aren’t with Sheen, at least not enough to comment on what a POS he is.
Jussayin.
I’ll say it again gang, seeing yet another wife if Charlie being trashed, makes me now think more of Denise. I think she was damn lucky to escape as intact as she did.
Here is what I wrote on the feedback form of CBS:
———–
I am writing to express my disgust with the continuation of Charlie Sheen’s highly paid presence on your network. In view of his most recent act of physical spousal abuse, as well as his continued “leaks” about his victim (furthering the abuse – this time psychological), and his long history of violent abuse of women, I find it incomprehensible that he is rewarded with a highly paid CBS role. Until he is removed from this series, and from your payroll, I will avoid watching ANY programming on CBS stations.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
————
Now, if others join in, perhaps the powers-that-be will actually do something. After all, it’s all about keeping the advertisers happy. And advertisers aren’t happy when they think people won’t watch. It’s very easy – on the very bottom of the CBS homepage click “feedback”, choose “Two and Half Men”, and voila.
I thought 2 and 1/2 Men was an awful show before all these allegations came out about Charlie Sheen anyways. So I guess you can say I was pre-emptively boycotting it. 😉
I can’t believe that picture is of them in 2005! Have they seriously been together for 4 years? That doesn’t seem right to me.
My opinion of Denise keeps rising and rising- not quite the crazy liar we all thought she was, huh? I’d bet she’s having a pretty vindicating few weeks.
As for Charlie, the fact that he keeps leaking all of these details does nothing to improve his image- can his team truly not see what a douche this makes him? This is his wife, the mother of his children, to whom he was physically violent and arrested. Impugning her does nothing to clean up his part in this sordid mess- he’s just dragging them both farther down in the muck.
@Lee- Thanks for taking the time to write that! I hope others will do the same!
Thanks, Firestarter, Lee and Bella! I’m going to CBS.com as soon as I click “submit” to let them know that I won’t watch a wife-beating psychopath’s show and that the show should at the very least replace him, and issue a statement that they do not agree with his actions. It’s time we all got together and let the network know (like we all spoke up about Chris Brown) that WE are the viewers, WE have a voice, and without US, the networks wouldn’t stay in business!
On a personal note, I didn’t know Charlie Sheen could disgust me more until this story. The children, as always it seems lately, will be the ones who suffer. When will Hollyweird STOP looking the other way?!
OK, so we got CBS out of the way. What about the other networks that are showing it in syndication? Can we get them too?
This is wrote to CBS: I am sorry to say that I will no longer be able to watch NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles, due to the fact that Charlie Sheen continues to be an apparently valuable member of the CBS family. This, despite the very serious allegations he is facing regarding alcohol and spousal abuse. I do not believe I am the only person who feels this way, and I only hope others make their feelings known.
@Bella- That is a good question. I may email my local station now!
Brooke is Anna Nicole Smith 2. They were drug addicts who got pregnant and married for money. Brooke is a gold-digger.
@LL- Doesn’t matter if Brooke is a gold digger, nor does it matter that she was/is a drug addict. What matters is that her husband, another DRUG ADDICT , swine, woman beating troglodyte, beat and threatened his wife. THAT IS WHAT MATTERS!
Again, thanks to those that have emailed CBS! Every email does send a message, and it also tells others, who have been victims of abuse, that we do not look the other way and that abuse is not tolerated and accepted, no matter who the perpetrator.
@Firestarter. I agree; this sounds like damage control from camp Sheen. He’s been arrested 4 times, too! #1–he shot fiancee Kelly Preston in the arm. #2–he slammed down a UCLA student for refusing sex. #3–He slammed his girlfriend’s face into a wall. She needed stitches. #4–the knife incident. That’s 4 strikes against him. 3 too many if you ask me.
@Elise- It is lovely how along with the things you have mentioned, he has also gotten away with DUI’s, drug arrests AND soliciting prostitutes. Yet, he has never gone to jail for any length of time, much less spent one day in prison, where most people with his rap sheet would have gone.
Honestly, I hate this man more than I could ever hate Chris Brown. At least, up to this point, Brown is not a multiple offender, and he has been forced to do some form of punishment for his actgions. Sheen magically never has to do anything!
If there is one thing to be learned in all of this… I far-underestimated Denise Richard’s ability to button her blabber mouth.
I’m with you, Firestarter. I’m gonna go send them an email. I have no desire to see that psychopath continue to make millions by acting out his misogyny on a TV show. Because yes, let’s call it what it is, that show is misogynistic. And so is he. These leaks from his camp just make him look even worse.
You all are great!
Here’s the link to directly go to CBS’ user feedback page, where you can email them:
http://www.cbs.com/info/user_services/fb_global_form.php
Here’s the letter I sent, under the “Two And A Half Men” option
“This show is not only rampantly sexist and misogynistic but that you continue to support the abusive drug addict known as Charlie Sheen is disgusting. I’ve never had a fondness for the show because of its childish and degrading content, but the fact that you award Charlie Sheen’s current and past incidents of spousal abuse, drugs and alcohol abuse, patronizing of prostitutes, and multiple stints in rehab makes me seriously question whether or not your network has a shred of decency or integrity whatsoever. I’m pleased that I am not a fan of any of your shows, because I won’t be missing anything now that I’ve decided to boycott your station. But from the looks of the current line up, I wouldn’t have been missing anything, anyway.”
I am so impressed with everyone who is taking the trouble to let CBS know how we feel! Truly, we can use the internet to do good things! Awesome.
I could give a damn about Charlie or Brooke, both of them are crazy.I doubt CBS will be dropping his show no matter how many complains you people submit to them.
@Alex- Well, if the asshole goes to jail, which he SHOULD, the network won’t have a show either.
You may not care about them, but you should care about domestic violence.
It’s people like you who don’t care who keep things in this world the way that they are.
No, in the grand scheme of things, I do not care about Brooke Mueller or Charlie Sheen, as they do not impact my day to day life, however, Charlie Sheen is ANY MAN, who continually gets away with abusive behavior because people turn a blind eye to it.
Maybe our few little emails will not get Sheen axed from the show, or even read, but at least we stood up for something, which is more than I can say for those who sit around, commenting on how others are sending emails to a network when nothing will happen for their efforts.
It isn’t as though an email was a big deal to take the time to send, no more than the time it took for you to put your two cents in here. You have a right to make your comments, but it is insensitive and not necessary to say that nothing will change as a result of our effort.I didn’t expect that Entertainment Tonight would be leading their broadcast tonight with : “Fans of the gossip site Celebithcy break CBS, and are solely responsible for the firing of Charlie Sheen”
Jeez!
P.S- If no one ever signed a petition, drafted a letter or voted, because they thought it would not make a difference, this world would be in a hell of a mess!
@alex, I’m not so pessimistic. Look at the endorsements Tiger’s waving buh-bye to. Advertisers care what we think, so by extension, CBS has to.
Are there any pictures of her without her mouth gaping open like a cracked out cat?
This is sad. She looks so wholesome, though I don’t think she could be, or they wouldn’t be together in the first place.
You tell them, Firestarter! I sent them several complaints. At the very least, they know how I feel!
E-mail sent. I am hopeful the Colorado courts will not be blinded by his “star” status and that he will face the same consequences as any other perpetrator of domestic violence.
Kimble, I hope you’re right. Since it isn’t Hell-A, maybe the courts will do the right thing and throw the book at him. It’s not like he hasn’t earned it!
he knows “where the bodies are buried” so to speak, is imo, the reason ol’ Charlie gets away with s*** and still gets the big bucks. he’s not the only one using prostitutes and drugs and exhibiting questionable behaviour.
It looks like “Teflon Chuck” will get away with it again. People are probably covering for him because he took the rap for a lot people during the Heidi Fleiss hooker scandal. Which just makes me sick.
Ooo good idea, Firestarter. I’m going to write to CBS right now! Wouldn’t it be cool if Charlie Sheen got kicked off TV?
d- No he isn’t, BUT he is the only actor who has questionable behavior, uses prostitutes, abuses alcohol/drugs, shoots someone AND BEATS his wife, all the while doing it publicly, without fear he will be punished for ANY of those actions.
How does this affect 2 and a half men? It is still on right? I love his show
What does any of Brooke’s prior history have to do with the fact that Charlie was physically violent AND threatened to kill Brooke while holding a knife to her throat on Christmas morning!?!
What kind of prior substance abuse history makes it UNDERSTANDABLE and forgivable that your spouse would physically, emotionally, psychologically abuse and threaten your life at knife point!?!!!
Charlie is an incorrigable abuser – END OF CONVERSATION! Really people! WTF already!?!! If he’s not held fully accountable – then there’s no longer any justice in this world.
And today’s “completely clueless” award goes to ANGELINE! Angeline come on up and receive your prize. PS its a bowling trophy with the words “Durr, misogyny, what’s that?” scraped into it.
@Angeline- Keep on watching that “funny” show, and allow a woman beating psychopath to remain the highest paid actor on tv. Don’t even think about how he beats women in his off time and threatens to kill them. Just keep watching him as the “witty, lovable” (ugh) character he plays on tv. That makes it all okay. Hey as long as he is entertaining, who cares what he does off-screen.
I don’t know the full extent of Charlie Sheen’s prior violent history, but someone recently told me that it is common knowledge in Hollywood circles that Sheen’s favourite thing is the knife, and it is further said he’s gotten away with the knife murder of a prostitute. Does anyone else know about this? If it is true, it is further proof that if you have money, influence and power, and if your victim is a powerless female of no consequence, you can get away with pretty much anything. We should all be willing to say we don’t want this sorry excuse for a man on our televisions, in sitcoms or in advertising, and enough is enough.
A reminder of another incident some years back where Sheen was arrested AGAIN for abusing a woman:
Movie star Charlie Sheen was arrested by armed police who burst into his remote mountain top home yesterday.
The stunned Hot Shots hunk was awakened in the early hours by officers after a beautiful 24-year-old girl claimed he had beaten her up.
Sheen. 31, was carted off in handcuffs to the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, California, for questioning.
The girl had facial injuries and needed seven stitches in her bottom lip.
Sheriff’s deputies obtained search and arrest warrants after she alleged Sheen had knocked her to the ground and kicked her unconscious.
The actor was charged with “assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury”.
The victim, who was not named, told police she was attacked at Sheen’s home in Agoura, on the outskirts of Hollywood, at noon on Friday.
“While she was at Sheen’s home, the two became involved in a hearted argument during which Sheen shoved her to the ground, knocking her semi-conscious,” said sheriff’s deputy Carrie Stuart.
“A short time later when she was able to get up off the floor, the victim found that her lip was bleeding and she had scrape marks on one side of her neck.
“The victim then sought treatment at a private doctor, where she received seven stitches for a lower lip laceration.
“Late Friday evening, the victim contacted sheriff’s deputies to report the crime.
“Based on the victim’s statements and her injuries, deputies obtained search and arrest warrants for Sheen and his residence that were served early Saturday morning.”
Sheen, who starred in Platoon and Wall Street, recently admitted paying pounds 30,000 for sex with call-girls run by Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.
Last year he announced that he had become a born-again Christian and married model Donna Peele but they split up after only a few months.
In January the star settled a lawsuit filed by another woman who claimed he hit her on the head several times when she refused to have sex with him.
At the time he denied the charges but claimed it was easier to settle the case with Kateri Foos than go to court.
What a pack of self righteous people in here. Emnailing the station and whining about Sheen, why what did he do to you? It is none of your business if he did indeed smack his wife, he dikdnt hit you did he? He hasent been convicted of it either but all you holy joes in here are getting into his business. I like his show and what he does in his personal life is his business. Since none of was there and she had no marks howdo you have the nerver to judge Sheen?? Pray that you never get accused of something and have people try and convict you without a trial because they think they are special and are saintly. It is people like you who make me sick, you hide your wrongs because you are not famous. Yet you sit here and judge others??? get over yourself. Go ruin your own career. It shouldnt be too hard, just open your self rightous mouth at work like you do here lol,
@Judy- I am so sorry that you are so terribly clueless! This man has BEATEN women for years and years and gotten away with it. You think it is okay to beat on a woman AND hold a knife to her throat?
This is not his first rodeo Judy, and frankly it shocks me that any woman would have this kind of an attitude. I assume you are also one of those people who said Chris Brown was innocent, along with the likes of O.J and Robert Blake.
Likewise, I PRAY for you to never be the victim of domestic violence, and have to report it and no one believes you because you have skeltons in your closet or something in your past that might give people pause to go: “Hmm, the guy seems so nice, and Judy, well you know..”
Charlie Sheen is a public figure, and what he does is our business when it becomes news on tv. It is also our duty, as decent , caring, human beings to stand up for something that we think is wrong. Just because I do not know him, does not mean that I am not allowed to email a tv network, which is public, to tell them what I think of a woman beating POS like Charlie Sheen.
You are a very misguided person, if you think violence against anyone is okay, and should not be frowned upon. I don;t need him to go to trial, because sadly, he won’t because he never does. Might I remind you that he has shot one ex girlfriend-FACT. He beat on his ex wives- FACT (court documents prove it) , so I find it highly unlikely that he is so innocent this time, as she has marks on her face and neck.
I hate apologists for women beaters!
Please take an English course as well.
Thank you Firestarter for your response to “Judy,” I wholeheartedly second that emotion.
@Judy – WTF? Are you a sociopath in training? Are you an abuse victim in denial? Other than these two explanations, your heinous support for a proven criminal who just happens to be famous is mind boggling. Do you really like his show THAT much? Yeeks.
Thank you, Firestarter, for your response to “Judy”. I read her comment last night, and was so shocked at the level of her misogynistic vitriol, I wasn’t able to calmly formulate a response. I’m glad you did.
@ Judy – Save your venom for the Woman Beater! Obviously, we are not perfect, as SOME of us have been with men who abused us. We are not trying to ruin anyone’s career, we are simply expressing our extreme distaste to CBS, that they continue to value a man who systematically abuses women over their own women viewers (if there are any – besides you, I mean). I am grateful you are not a Spousal Abuse Survivor (or so I gather from your position on Sheen) and have never had to go through the painful process of extricating yourself (and children, if any) from a man who threatens to kill you (and make it look like an accident) and find you no matter where you go. The damage to the psyche and self-esteem lasts much longer than the physical damage, and it takes a painfully long time to heal. I still have panic attacks when I see someone who looks like my ex, even after 18 years and extensive counseling and prayer.
Speaking of being perfect and judging others, please remove the plank from your eye before telling is to remove the splinter from ours. The attitude that “it’s nobody’s business if he smacks his wife” is the same attitude that law enforcement used to have, until the battered women kept turning up dead. That’s why it no longer matters whether the wife or girlfriend files a complaint; law enforcement took it out of their hands and it’s now their call. How many women would still be alive if neighbours hadn’t had that “it’s none of my business” attitude?
Oh, so we should all just look away and mind our own business? This guy is going to kill a woman some day because he thinks he is special and that gives him a pass for being an ugly behaving SOB. If you are a public figure your behavior is under public scrutiny..period.
I don’t care how many drugs she’s been on or how often she’s been to rehab, she’s married to a wife-beater and it’s only a matter of time before he hurts or kills her. He’s had that in his future for a long time. Brooke, take the kids, the money, and RUN!
And let us not forget that it is only a matter of time before wife abusers become child abusers. That realisation is often the sole motivation for women to get away from their abuser. Once I realised my little boy was next, that was all I needed to go to court, go into hiding, and get away from that man!
Cheaters and spousal abusers are of the same ilk: once a cheater (abuser), always a cheater (abuser); no matter how many apologies or flowers or pretty things he gives you.
Judy: “what he does in his personal life is his business”
Looks like its somebody else’s business too: the police. That’s what happens when you commit crimes.
Turning a blind eye to a person’s crime in the name of “not judging” is excusing it and enabling it. It is precisely this attitude that enables abuse to continue. Its always “none of anyone’s business” even when they wind up dead, right?
You’re basically telling people to ignore serious crimes that hurt other people, simply because it does not effect them personally: what planet are you from? How many people would wind up dead from that attitude? And even worse, how can you expect us to turn a blind eye to the pain and suffering of a fellow human being? That’s what sociopaths do!
In summation, Judy, you are psychotic. As for opening a judgmental mouth at work, I would never want to work at a place of employment where condemning spousal abuse was grounds for removal. Luckily, I work for myself, which gives me the time to come and give a tongue lashing to abuse apologists such as yourself.
I might have done things wrong in my life, but I have NEVER threatened anyone with physical violence or death, or anything even close to as bad as that, so yeah, I’ll judge Charlie Sheen, I’ll judge him all I want. I have self control, he does not.
there are a lot of people that are saying Brooke is a gold-digger….i thought she came from money. like, A LOT of money. i mean, of course, charlie sheen who is making $20million a year could make anyone look like a gold-digger i guess. but i’m just curious because i’ve read stuff saying she comes from a wealthy socialite type family.
i also personally know of a girl who is in her 30’s now (i think) so this would have been about 10-12yrs ago when she was in her early 20’s that dated/hooked-up with Charlie Sheen in Vegas for a few months, she was a showgirl in one of those big crazy Vegas productions……… Long story short (from what i have been told by family of mine that knew her first hand) is that they met at club one night and he pursued her-she’s not an escort or anything like that-but maybe he thought she was, i dont know. but either way, she didn’t give in to him the first night when he was laying on the charm and everything. they exchanged numbers, he did things like send flowers and some gifts-REALLY nice gifts from what i’ve heard;jewelry, clothes, ect. and from what i’ve been told eventually i think they ended up kind of “exclusively” seeing eachother when he was in vegas. it went on for a few months, i don’t know the exact time period, but she eventually ended it and she told my aunt that she basically feared for her life and had stopped staying the night with him because she felt like she was “at his mercy” if she stayed in his room for the night, which i find kind of weird cuz she continued to see him even though she was clearly afraid of him and being alone with him over night. i guess that’s the weird power of celebrity status and money and all the gifts and stuff. nothing ever came from it, she never pressed charges or anything, i think she was just happy for the experience to be over….
i was in my late teens when my aunt told me this stuff so she left a lot of details out back then i guess cuz she didn’t want to upset me or tell me the graphic details but when her and i were talking about this the other day she said it doesn’t suprise her at all, that he was violent during sex….and would just play it off as kinky sex and it made her more and more uncomfortable as time went on. and that he was violent and verbally abusive when he drank and when they were alone AND when they were in front of people, mostly his staff. which means that most of his staff totally know what he’s like and how he treats these women. it’s disgusting. really really disgusting. but, like i said, it goes to show you the power of celebrity, and money, and fame and all that. its awful.
my aunt is a dance instructor that has worked as a choreographer for lots of various things in the philadelphia and new york area and has lots of friends who do and did work out in vegas. so that is how she knew this particular young lady.
LOL @ ! for writing #45–too funny!
Good for you, Firestarter. But, I think these people (like Judy, Angeline) are obvious trolls who want to yank your chain. Save your very eloquent and intelligent comments for CBS, I would say. They need to hear more people like you.
This thread has been fascinating to read and it is nice to see that people are trying to make changes by sending emails to the networks and that there are differing opinions which rounds out the debate.
It is interesting that Chris Brown was so villified for engaging in the same kind of actions as Charlie Sheen and he only did it once and apologized in public. The fact that Charlie Sheen keeps getting away with the same types of actions is not helping his real life character, and if your comment, Lee, is true about his past, that is scary.
I wouldn’t lose too much sleep over ‘Judy’s’ comments here. Can you not smell a troll a mile away people?
But my hat is off to those who made the effort and typed out a legible, well thought out response. Even if that make me a ‘lesser’ poster for having responded to them. *rolls eyes*
@Crash-LOL! “Lesser” poster! Ahh, memories!
You are so right. I believe “Judy” has been here many times before with her wisdom in Chris Brown threads.
Here’s mine:
Ratings magnet that he is, by rewarding Sheen with millions of dollars, you are tacitly supporting domestic violence. I pray for the day when basic humanity and respect won’t be laughed out of the court in order to service ‘the bottom line’. Until that time, I will not longer be watching any of your programs.
‘not’ watching.
Hmm. Very strong opinions on both sides.
I always favor the route of doing what you beieve it right, without resorting to judgment of those who dont do or feel the same as you- no matter how grievous the situation.
Its just such a judgmental attitude that perpetrates hatred, selfishness, callousness and these elements in fact play a role in abusive behavior,if that is your concern.
It isnt a stretch of the imagination to recall, that abusive people are not only physically abusive but verbally as well. So ripping on someone for not also complaining to CBS really doesnt look any different in my eyes.
You cant ‘yell at someone to stop yelling’– its like with children- they watch what you do and can invalidate your words based on your actions and therefore never learn/never change or use your own fault as an axcuse to not listen to your wisdom or advice.
Take a step above them and their behavior if you dont like it, and just stick to your guns, and do what you feel in your heart is right.
To cite the cliche: Be the change you want to see!!
@teehee, I understand the point you’re trying to make, but I don’t believe posters have “ripped” on “Judy” because she didn’t write the network.
Indeed, it seems to me you’re implying that you agree with her that posters here are “holier than thou”. However, that is a slippery slope back into making women feel it’s not ladylike to step up and call out injustices. We can’t remain silent for fear of offending those who prefer the status quo, or those who simply don’t care.
@teehee- I didn’t necessarily rip on anyone for NOT doing as I did. I commented back to people who a) took the time to tell me (and others) how our emails meant nothing. They may not mean anything at the end of the day, but why make the comment in the first place? and b) who called me and others “self righteous” for daring to write CBS in the first place.
Indeed everyone has a right to their opinion on a matter, but I also have the right to comment back. I didn’t verbally abuse anyone, nor do I think anyone else did. But then again, that is my opinion.
I do think you made some valid points that I do agree with, however the commenters who were responded to, with the exception of maybe one, were making direct comments to our posts. I don’t care if anyone agrees with me on domestic violence or not, but I darn well will respond to people when attacked. In your eyes, maybe that makes me an abuser, but in my eyes it just makes me human. From what I know, which may not be much, it is also called debating.
