Elon Musk worked illegally when he first came to America on a student visa

Elon Musk unsurprisingly spoke at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden Nazi rally on Sunday. Fresh off the revelation that he’s been in “regular” contact with Vladimir Putin for the past two years, Musk announced that he’s “dark gothic MAGA” on stage at MSG.

I cannot imagine a bigger try-hard loser. Why is right-wing politics full of the biggest dumbasses whose desperation to be liked is twisted into fascism and violent retribution against their “enemies”? Speaking of, you know how one of the big points of the Nazi rally was the demonization of immigrants? Turns out, Muskrat worked illegally when he first came to America.

Billionaire Elon Musk, who has become a staunch opponent of illegal immigration as a top surrogate for Donald Trump, and boosted misleading claims about the issue throughout the 2024 election cycle, launched his career in Silicon Valley working illegally, according to The Washington Post.

The Post, citing business associates, court records and company documents, found Musk did not have the legal right to work in the U.S. while creating Zip2—a business directory software company that sold for about $300 million 25 years ago. Musk, who was born in Pretoria, South Africa, dropped out of a Stanford University graduate program in 1995 as a foreign student to instead work on his start-up.

Musk’s immigration status put the company at risk of not receiving funding, according to the Post, which cited a funding agreement between Zip2 and Mohr Davidow Ventures that Musk, his brother Kimbal and an associate, had 45 days to secure legal work status or face losing out on the $3 million investment.

Derek Proudian, a Zip2 board member who later became the company’s chief executive, told the Post that Zip2 investors did not want its founder deported, and that the Musk brothers’ “immigration status was not what it should be for them to be legally employed running a company in the U.S.”

Musk acknowledged his immigration status when he founded Zip2 in a 2005 email to Tesla co-founders Martin Eberhard and JB Straubel revealed in a lawsuit, where he explained he applied to Stanford to stay in the U.S. legally, according to the Post.

[From Forbes]

Someone said – and I believe this – that Musk never even intended to go to Stanford, and that his student visa was always intended as a cover to work in the US. For a guy with THAT backstory to now work hand-in-hand with the party which screams about immigrants 24-7 is pretty wild. They’re always saying the quiet part out loud though – they believe white immigrants like Muskrat and Melania Trump are fine. Chain migration is fine with it’s Melania’s family. Anchor babies are fine when it’s Elon Musk fathering them.

Even as one of the richest people in the world he is still such an insecure little Pick Me.

The world’s richest man off the backs of the US tax payers! Tesla has received so many government contracts and subsidies from the US government! He is the biggest ” welfare queen” out there and we should definitely cut all the grift he receives! How’s that for government efficiency, Elon??!

      • DK says:

You know how the Heritage Foundation keeps trying to get Harry’s immigration papers to “prove” he lied and get him kicked out?

Well, it’s now clear Musk must have lied -under penalty of perjury – along the way to his US citizenship.

Can Muskrat be similarly kicked out? Citizenship revoked? Jail time at least, for committing perjury?

He’s pitiful along with his future.

By his own admission, if we can elect Kamala Harris to the White House, this guy is f-ed. It’s a two-fer! VOTE!

It will never cease to annoy and amaze me how often trash like this is fine with one set of rules for them and a different set for the rest.
I feel badly for Leon’s kids: Go Vivian!
He called MVP the “C word.” Somebody should let him know that it’s Commander-in-Chief.

  5. Nanea says:

This guy is so disgusting. He has told so many lies and gotten away with it.

People still believe he’s some (mad) genius. He’s an illegal immigrant. He has no degree, despite him lying about it to the public. He got the money needed to invest via his father’s emerald mine.

There was a long thread on Twitter shortly after EM bought that place about everything that he lied about.

People get deported for less, instead EM was naturalized and got so many government contracts and subsidies.

    Lock him up.

His fanboys don’t care, even as he’s exposed, seemingly weekly now, as an all-around horrible person. About … 8 years ago a friend of a friend named their baby Elon. I thought it must have been a family name or something, didn’t know much about Musk. I’m sure thousands of fanboys have done the same thing. What a heavy burden to put on a child!

  7. Shoegirl77 says:

Well, narcissists generally seem to think that rules don’t apply to them.

I would like to see a Pic of the venue, I get the feeling it wasn’t filled…at all. These rancid people musk, Melania benefitted from the system they want to deny to others. One word, karma.

  9. Saucy&Sassy says:

Wait, I thought that he didn’t even apply to the Stanford program? I think he might be fudging things here. Should he have been granted citizenship? Did he lie on his application? Should we ask for a copy of all of the paperwork so we can see for ourselves if something underhanded happened?

There has to come a time or a moment when you realize, “Am I the baddy?”

WoPo? I guess Jeff Bezos isn’t that scared of Elon Musk!
