The Duchess of Sussex posted on Instagram again on Sunday. She’s really back! She’s not just saving her IG-posting for big events or promotion. It’s been years since she’s had this kind of outlet to just post cute videos from home or cool stuff from Invictus, and she’s really going all-in with the casual (aspirational) vibes. Here are her IG Stories from Sunday, note her Northwestern sweatshirt. That’s her alma mater!

Very cute. I hope we get to the point where Meghan is giving these sweet updates and it’s not really news? I get that everything Meghan does is news, and that’s because people have such strong feelings about her. But if anyone else had posted this, it wouldn’t be any kind of gossip story? Woman waters plants and sits in her own garden, news at seven. And it’s hilarious that people are melting down about it. Speaking of, even the Daily Beast’s Royalist column sounds peeved at the melodrama over Meghan’s IG:
In this week’s episode of Meghan Markle Breathes and Social Media Has a Meltdown, the Duchess of Sussex dared to post a mood board on Instagram.
The mood board, a pastel-hued collage of affirmations, features handwritten gems like “Farm fresh eggs, carrots two ways, sweet treats,” signaling that her new series will explore a down-to-earth lifestyle centered on cooking, gardening and hosting. The saccharine images along with adorable artwork from her kids, was—depending on your personal stance on both the cosmos and Meghan Markle—either an inspiring collection of positivity or the single greatest threat to Western civilization since someone put pineapple on pizza.
One critical comment read: “Why does she think we care about this??” which raises the obvious counter-question: “If you don’t care, why are you foaming at the mouth about it?”
Meghan Markle could post a picture of a single slice of toast, and certain sections of the planet would find a way to turn it into a scandal. What does it mean? Is she insulting the memory of the queen? Is this proof she’s planning to start her own monarchy, one piece of sourdough at a time?
One thing is certain: the cycle will repeat. Meghan will post something normal, social media will implode, and the rest of us will be left wondering how much longer we can keep up with this exhausting charade.
It’s almost an admission that certain people/royalists feel forced into ginning up hatred and anger towards Meghan, almost as if they’ve been ordered to meet every Sussex update with unadulterated rage.

I’m guessing Tom Sykes didn’t write that, given the fact that we didn’t have any comments from William’s ” friend”. They are correct though if you don’t care, then why do you care? You aren’t forced to consume content. If you don’t follow her on IG and you don’t read articles about her, how did you see this? You sought it out to be angry about. Congratulations, I guess?
But on a different note, she is so very good at this. Small insights into her life without giving away too much, and it feels so natural and unproduced.
M has always made a clear distinction between the things she considers PRIVATE and those she considers PERSONAL. I actually saw this in a TIG post of hers back in 2014: that she has no difficulty sharing whats personal to her but never whats private.
And I think any normal human being can grasp this simple concept, given that we all have things about ourselves/our spaces/our loved ones that we wouldnt share with the public; and we also have things/people/places/opinions that we dont mind sharing with others.
Private vs personal — great observation.
The royal experts, royal reporters are like william and kate, they suck at their jobs, struggle to find their real purpose and are too lazy to put efforts into real work. They always take the easy way, although it’s not easy to find their way out of a paper bag.
“…the single greatest threat to Western Civilization since someone put pineapple on pizza.” is absolutely tickling me today. I’ve laughed out loud, and spent several minutes chuckling in the memory of my laugh out loud. I’m glad that we’ve reached a point where the hysteria is so painfully obvious that we can’t help but have a laugh.

Northwestern!!!!… at this point I believe Our Meghan is trolling the haters and derangers.. and having fun doing it.
She is a graduate from that university, shouldn’t surprise anyone.
Harry seems to love seeing connections everywhere. So the fact that Meghan went to northwestern when his mom once wore that sweatshirt is possibly v meaningful to him.
The faux outrage over everything Meghan does is exhausting to see, so I actively ignore it. I’m glad Meghan is sharing the little things that bring her joy and happiness.
I read several different gossip/royal centric sites and I have no problem not clicking on articles about Kate or any of the other Left Behind royals. I don’t want to waste my precious energy or time on people that I don’t like, I just don’t understand why other people do?
The Northwestern sweater really triggered the Derangedeers.
But then, everything that Meghan does triggers the Delulu Ones, especially the fact that there’s a beagle in the house. It seems to be some sort of conspiracy.

They can’t seem to come to terms with the fact that there can be more than one beagle in existence. They also don’t seem to understand how Instagram stories work, being convinced she was forced to delete all Invictus content after being told to leave lol.
Wait. They are bothered by the fact that she wore a sweatshirt from her alma mater? And yes I know that Diana wore the northwestern sweatshirt and sweatshirts from a few sports teams in the 90s, but it’s actually makes more sense that someone that went to the school had on the sweatshirt than someone that didn’t.
So basically they’re upset that for once a direct connection to Diana can’t be co-opted by their favorite, because Meghan legitimately went to that school. It’s not a subtle hint, or sweet nod, it’s just her directly wearing gear from her school.
ETA- I’m not even on Instagram and I know that the stories disappear after 24 hours, they can’t be that stupid. And they do realize that Mia is a beagle too right? They think she’s lying about Guy passing away?!!

They don’t seem to notice there were differences between Guy and Mia, one being that Guy had a much darker coat on his back. Oh, and he was smaller than her.

I like Meghan’s video – a reminder to get outside, see some grass, breathe some air, admire some flowers. Of course, here in New England that won’t happen for another couple of months, if that – but I can dream.
Watching Archie’s little arm holding the green water hose gave me a flashback to my childhood when I did the same. A surge of nostalgia came over me and happy childhood moments playing outside and just running wild until the street lamps turned on. Which signaled time to come home for dinner.
That’s a lovely memory.

I think as she is starting to post more, the derangers and haters are sort of….I dont know. Tiring themselves out, like children having a tantrum. Or tiring out the people around them and now so much of the hate is being called out – there are so many comments on social media now along the lines of “this show isn’t for me but why the outrage/hate.” Like even people who dont follow the royals or don’t follow Meghan are picking up on how others react to her and I think its working against the derangers, because now more and more people understand why they left.

Yes, and her posts don’t contain anything to push against. I suppose they could scream about the garden hose – USING WATER IN CALIFORNIA!!! – but there’s no trace of the bitchy, bossy, diva persona the media had built up, which could explain the “authenticity” article from yesterday. Still, this could be a reprieve – we’ll see on March 4, when the knives come out.
The minute I saw the water hose, I immediately began hearing the cacophony of derangers and BM media 🐀 🐀 🐀 screaming, yelling and throwing up about Meghan wasting water, causing the wild fires that burned LA. (being after the fact doesn’t matter). Never mind that using the hose to water specific plants rather than run the sprinkler system property wide is the conscientious thing to do. I wonder if it’s finally gotten to the point for a lot of people where they’re like I’m not a fan, but that doesn’t make me a hater, why are you people so invested in this? I agree. People who are agnostic (or who have been agnostic) are really seeing the insanity for what it is. If you watch her videos or look at her posts – there’s no *reason* for the vitriol so my hope is that the agnostics start calling out the crazies for BEING crazy.

I’ve heard derangers make that exact assertion that she plotted to marry Harry when she was a young girl and her being photographed in front of BP as a teenager on a school trip and going to Northwestern as a young adult is proof of that. Nevermind that she didn’t meet Harry until her mid 30s and it was only because he saw a video of her on social media. We also have to ignore the fact that in her quest to marry Harry she was in a longtime relationship then divorce with someone which would make marrying into that family even more improbable. Someone who is desperate to marry someone doesn’t live in another country and marry someone else thinking that they are improving their chances. That’s just delusional thinking on the derangers part.
This charming post really cheered me up because it has been very cold in Blighty recently. It just gave a glimpse of how happy they are as a family: warm sunshine, simple pleasures and a relaxed vibe all around. I am glad that they enjoy a happy life together and have a lovely family.

Yes, because Diana wearing a sweatshirt one time means that it is only associated to Diana and not the actual school she double majored at. I can imagine Harry laughing at how triggered they are about a sweatshirt. Their favorite cosplays flags, the Queen, Diana and Meghan but they’re losing their minds because Meghan wore her Alma maters sweatshirt while being outside with her children. They’re delusional.
Keener and Wiily can’t compete with Meghan and Harry on any level, but particularly on social media. Neither are natural on camera and the videos/images produced by kp are beyond cringe. If willy and keener want to claim Instagram/social media as their own to skip out on actual work, they are shit out of luck, especially when they compare themselves to the Sussexes. They may have a bot army and may strong arm the media into glowing coverage regardless of what they do, but they know they don’t match up and the recent uptick on attacks against the Sussexes prove it.
I loved that moment of zen from Meghan, especially as a reprieve from our current hellscape.
I adore Meghan’s effervescence, but also appreciate her attention to detail. She has a way of elevating everyday moments with thoughtful touches, like adding a squeeze of fresh tangerine into the drink in her IG stories – it’s those little extras that make all the difference.
She cares and it makes the difference.
I think many of us who have followed Meghan’s journey from The Tig through her marriage to Prince Harry are just happy to see her looking healthy, joyful and reclaiming her before life.
Her instagram stories are how I imagine I would live if I lived in California. And that last story; I knew she was a Mimosa girlie! Let’s be friends Meghan!
Meghan should just drop the show already because every now and then someone tries to take over her work and copy it or sabotage it.
There is an article in the Daily Mail rag that I sometimes watch with disgust just to see BRK and the routine attacks on the Sussexes that Meghan stole the idea for the show from Pamela Anderson. Of course I know Meghan didn’t steal it from anyone but when I saw the pictures I was furious. Let’s start with the fact that Meghan’s show ended sometime in the summer and they released a trailer two months ago. Pamela Anderson’s show supposedly ended in October and now (late February) they announced it and now there is a trailer. As if the big headline about “Meghan copying” was just slander and an attempt to discredit her, but if anyone was going to copy, given the timing it would be Pamela with Meghan.
Normally I would laugh at the suggestion, but when I saw the title and so many frames lifted directly from Meghan’s trailer, I was furious. I know, I know, you know that shows with similar problems can be similar, but this is more than just “similar,” starting with the title:

PAMELA – “Pamela’s Cooking With Love”
..to the frames from the trailer that look like Meghan’s trailer became Pamela’s trailer.
