Duchess Meghan met with her biggest fans at Ludlow House in NYC

The Duchess of Sussex was suddenly seen and photographed outside in recent days! Over the weekend, she was seen out and about in Montecito with Serena Williams (the photos are mega-exclusives). Then on Monday evening, Meghan was in New York! She was photographed walking into Ludlow House to meet some of her biggest fans and supporters from way back. Meghan posted all about the meet-up on her IG Stories, showing photos and videos and gift exchanges. It was all very sweet. She also got flowers with a special message from Archie & Lili:

I’ve tried not to wallow in Derangerville for too long, but I’ve seen some shifting in recent days about “why is Meghan suddenly showing so much of her life and her kids?” First of all, Meghan can do whatever she wants, full stop. She hasn’t put her kids’ faces on Main, but she’s definitely done enough to sow discontent among the conspiracy theorists who have claimed for years that her children don’t exist. I also think it’s lovely that Meghan is FINALLY in her “reclaiming my narrative” era. People have been lying about her for years, and for the past five years, she’s had the tools and platforms to clapback or simply tell her own story on her terms. I’m glad she’s finally gotten there, I just wish it had happened sooner. That’s why they’re really mad – the “Meghan Hate Industry” can’t operate like it’s business as usual.

    Ok, that coat.

I’m secretly hoping she records an episode of Hot Ones (it films in NY) to coincide with the As Ever release.

    • MrsCope says:

That would be awesome! She hinted that she was filming something but she didn’t show up on Colbert, so it’s something with a longer lead time, right?!

      • Jais says:

Wasn’t she once scheduled to appear on Fallon but then the queen passed. So I always figure she’ll end up there at some point. Although, I’d love to see her on Colbert. And omg, hot ones would be amazing. Truly.

      • Becks1 says:

I think Colbert or Fallon are good bets. But I’d love Hot Ones lolol. She seems to be reclaiming the fun side of her public persona, and I think Hot Ones would fit with that.

      • Dee(2) says:

I’m not a fan of Fallon’s constant giggling and interrupting, so I’d prefer Colbert everyday but hot ones would be great too. They always managed to get a pretty amusing rapport out of people, and I think she has a really good sense of humor. Also this is very sweet and kind that she did this for the people that have been with her for so long. I was hoping to see her on Good morning America or today doing a cooking segment, even if it was pre filmed.

      • She will be on the Drew Barrymore show I believe March 6th. Saw it in People magazine online.

    • Charlie says:

Same here! She kept on saying she loves heat and hot sauce on her show.

    • Inge says:

Hot ones would be great(as we see on the show she loves a bit of spicy food) but I’d also love to see her on Kelly Clarkson or Jennifer Hudson

  3. You know that I think it took her awhile to reclaim her narrative for two reasons . First she and Harry had just left salt isle after living a nightmare with so much trauma. Second I think she then had two small children to raise and for them to get old enough to where she was comfortable to take her narrative back. Her children, while still young, are older now and Archie does seem to go to school/pre-school so she now has the time to do what it is that she really enjoys doing. What a great outing to NYC to meet up with some old fans of the Tig. She really is owning her narrative. So take that gutter press and derangers!

    • Jais says:

Agree, Susan Collins. It’s been 5 years sure but Meghan’s been through a lot. I genuinely can’t imagine. Some may wish it happened sooner but it didn’t. Meghan had to go at her pace.

      • Yes Meg does do everything at her pace and good for her. Im just happy she is back and she is able to be her authentic self and to enjoy what she is doing.

    • Debbie says:

You make some really good points @Susan Collins. During the last 5 years she’s gone through a lot, as have we all, including getting through a global pandemic so it’s not surprising that she’s not leaping into social media since it’s such dangerous grounds for her and her family. As for going at her own pace, we saw that after her pregnancies that she took her own time in losing the pregnancy weight, which is vastly different from the trend of most famous women these days. So, I think that she puts a lot of thought into how things may turn out and I’m also glad that she feels more comfortable in reclaiming her narrative.

  4. Hypocrisy says:

I’m just glad she feels strong enough mentally and emotionally to share parts of her life and family with us. I’m sure it was not an easy decision. I hope it finally silences some of the hate, but hateful people will always find something to hate.

  5. Charlie says:

Speaking of Meghan’s “reclaiming my narrative” era, did anyone else see the segment of her making avocado toast? Lol!

  6. GoodWitchGlenda says:

Shes damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t. I just hope she’s happy doing whatever she wants to do.

  7. QuiteContrary says:

This was a very sweet thing to do. Thanking her longtime fans in this way is very Meghan. She’s got such a generous spirit.

    • Christine says:

I agree, this just makes me love her even more. What a sweet thing to do for your fans that have been with you for over a decade! Judging by Twitter posts, they are never, ever going to forget it, the joy is unabashed.

      • sevenblue says:

I think, they and Suits fans were in the trenches on the social media when the british media was trying to rewrite her life when she was in UK. So, I understand how much Meghan appreciates them. Harry said before, seeing people supporting them on social media in spite of all the organized hate campaign against them gave him the enough courage to leave UK.

  8. Jais says:

What a treat for old-school Tig fans. It must’ve been just amazing. There were gift bags!

  9. Maxine Branch says:

Meghan was pregnant for 3 consecutive years upon her marriage to Harry. She lost one child and birthed two. That only irequires an entire period of adjustment. In addition, she was in a lawsuit with the gutter rag the Daily fail which her husband attributed with helping to cause her miscarriage. That is an awful lot itself, especially after the trauma she went through with Harry’s birth family. What amazes me is the grace and dignity she has shown after going through all of that. Reclaiming her voice and life alone is a testament to her resilience

    • Magdalena says:

Thank you Maxine Branch. You have stated it more eloquently than I could have done. Meghan’s treatment by vile people has been unprecedented because it is so orchestrated and even after 5 years it is still ongoing and in fact ESCALATING as the originators in the UK are doing their damndest to bring all points of the hate to her home country after they chased her out of theirs. They really do seem to be on a campaign to ensure that she just disappears and is never seen or heard from again and they don’t care how. And you bet your bottom dollar that in the same way they are monetising Diana’s name to this day, M’s disappearance would not stop them from continuing to make up stories about her, much the way they wrote hundreds of articles about her weekly when she was not seen.

Sometimes people forget to try to imagine themselves in her shoes and for just a wee while instead of putting all these PR expectations on her, business or no.

  10. sevenblue says:

Wait, am I missing some info? How did she get contact with the Tig fans? We didn’t see anything about this before right? Like, I would assume it would be news that she was reaching out her fans from the Tig times. It is amazing nothing about this leaked.

    • Amy G says:

If I remember correctly, a couple of years ago she did a Zoom call with some supporters and someone took a photo of her and posted it online, despite multiple instructions that people couldn’t do that. (I think Melissa Murray was one of the fans on the Zoom — she was not the person who posted the photo, though!) So I was glad she did this and that she is on social media to share it herself in the way she wanted to.

      • sevenblue says:

Yeah, I am so glad Meghan getting her old life back. It is so satisfying to watch. Her fans are really tight-lipped though 😂😂 I understand the photo sharing. In this one, since they know Meghan was gonna share the photo, they probably didn’t get the urge to post it before her.

  11. Over it says:

I sincerely hope Meghan has every success and joy . I can’t think of another woman more deserving of it than her / she has been put through hell and back . Sending her love and prayers . Haters can just go suck it .
