The Duchess of Sussex and her family were in Montecito for the Easter holiday. Meghan only updated her social media once over the weekend, posting an adorable video where a mama duck is leading her ducklings across the Sussexes’ driveway, by the looks of it. I would assume Harry probably shot the video, and what’s cute to me is that Meghan is basically trying to stand aside to watch the ducks but then she got too excited as all the little ducklings follow their mom. It’s so sweet!
People were making jokes after Meghan posted this, that the Windsors were trying to find some ducks to photograph, and that there would be some duck references made by William and Kate in their next events. Possibly, you never know. What I do know is that Meghan’s IGs are now regularly overshadowing whatever the left-behind Windsors are doing. And that’s funny.
While the duck video was the only thing Meghan posted this weekend, photographer Jake Rosenberg posted a selfie with Meghan on his IG Stories. Rosenberg also photographed Meghan for People Magazine ahead of the premiere of With Love, Meghan, and Elle Mag suggested that Rosenberg was likely hired to do some As Ever photoshoots.

same! the nose. the eyes. the freckles. My niece loved that movie. It just cracks me up bc the joke about Disney princesses is that they’re so enchanting that animals are just randomly following them around. And here’s Meghan just attracting mama and baby ducks and freaking out like Amy Adams from enchanted. Cuteness overload.

Her reaction was adorable and it’s pretty much my reaction whenever I see a duck and her ducklings. It may be the generations of GenX and older Millennials who grew up on the Ugly Duckling.
But it’s true — we will see a photo of that lazy lady with some sort of cute animal soon.
Also the very popular children’s book Make Way for Ducklings is forefront in my mind as a GenXer.
That’s what the video reminded me of.
I’ve never read the book (English is not my first language), but I’ve seen the sculpture in Boston.
It was in our 3rd Grade reading book when I was teaching. The kids liked to imitate the ducklings waddling across the room. Still makes me smile remembering them quacking away, acting it out 😊

@susan that would only be if M were to shoot the ducks. I’ve seen that a #SSquad hv already neutralised that particular potential criticism from the shitmedia by posting several pix of kitty murdering birds with her shotgun.
The Sussex squad does good things but it won’t stop the gutter press from saying she Copied Can’t and they will use the latest video of her talking to trees and touting nature. The don’t give a crap if Can’t is holding dead pheasants they will spin the story.

WK tree photos started after HM photo under a beautiful tree when Meghan was pregnant with Lilibet. Not to mention that Kate’s photos are inept and shameless collages/montages, like 99% of their photos.
…and considering that WK are basically HM stalkers who stalk them, dress up as them, copy whatever they do, wear or say, saying that HM are copying WK is a pathetic attempt to turn the tide.
Meghan has shaken the foundations of RF in general, because all the major royals imitate her, in speech, dress, behavior/cuddles:)), and before the Netflix series, which was described by the tabloid media as culinary, which in Meghan’s own words it never was, both WK and CC ran to a photoshoot in restaurant kitchens:))))
Not to mention that immediately after Meghan ShopMy page came into existence,
Kate tried to do something similar. Unfortunately it’s just a poor imitation without interest.
Unfortunately that’s the thing with the gutter press it seems they will use whatever nonsense to try to change the tide. Why they think people have no brains and eyes to see exactly what they are doing is beyond my comprehension. Why are they still bedmates with the royal family who can no longer give any information about the Sussexes that’s what I want to know. You would think that if you can’t get that info then the “invisible contract “ would go away and they would start telling the truth about the leftovers.

Unfortunately, the problem is that it works. Many people still treat the media, including tabloids, as a source of credible information.
My cool aunt, to whom I tried to tell about the media and RF’s smear campaign against Meghan, Harry and their children, says to me:
– And you know that their marriage is terrible, it’s almost gone.
– What are you talking about, it’s exactly the opposite. Where did you get that information?
– They said on TV.
I had no chance of changing her perspective. They said on TV that it was unbeatable.
The media only cares about clicks, and they write at the request of the royals, but the royals WK and CC use it to push lies.
Very often, the palace takes Meghan’s influence and achievements as its own. They did the same with Harry.
Recently, the owner of Meghan’s engagement bag talked about its spectacular influence on the brand and how she was the first royal to wear it.
There was an interview, it was written, and yet a week or two later an article appeared about how women from the royal family advertised these very bags by wearing them at events, Meghan was not mentioned. Yes, they wore them, just like they wear everything Meghan wears, but that was later, Meghan was a precursor, which was omitted. Such “aunties” swallow it, people like us see how pathetic and compromising it is, but they continue to do it.
Maybe you could run a little cost comparison for your cool aunt – between the publicly funded UK royals and the unfunded Americans. Or maybe a cost per minute or hour breakdown – of “work” performed by “working” UK royals, counting both Sovereign Grant income and Duchies income kept by Chuck and Willy.
For her to copy Katherine would mean she is following Katherine and my guess is Meghan is decidedly not following Katherine

Meghan’s Easter video got over a million views in under an hour. And two hours later it had more views than the Waleses and C&C’s lastest (Easter) posts combined. That’s funny. Meghan “only” has 2.4 million organically gained followers (compared to them), but the views for each of her posts are in the tens of millions. Her As Ever announcement video for example has almost 26 million views. Everyone wants to see what she posts. Her power.
Her power is right! Advertisers wish they could package it, the Left Behinds wish they could steal it! Meghan the Magnificent!
W&K buy a lot of bots. Even NYT made a piece about it. The accounts with a lot of bots followers get less engagement compared to their total follow numbers. I remember reading that Kardashians accounts are the same, they have huge numbers, but little engagement compared to that.

Don’t want to hijack if this was going to come up, but there was a cute article in Business Insider titled “I spent a weekend living like Meghan.” She did 8 different projects from the Netflix show and found the joy.
Such a cute video! I mean, aren’t we all like this when we see a mama duck going about with her cute little ducklings?
Also is that the dress Meghan wore when she had to debut Archie to the world??? It looks like it’s the same dress! It’s always fun to see an older dress pop up on her and to see her wearing it during a much happier time in her life is so gratifying.

I stand to be corrected but I have never seen M wearing ANYTHING she wore for that brief period while she was in that hellhole on Shithole Island as a “working royal.”
And believe me, there was a period when I looked closely to see if she wd. And, not seeing her wearing any of her clothes from
that period, my conclusion was: of course
not! Why would she subject herself to the
reminder of the trauma of that experience.
Even if we on the outside admired a particular outfit & would have loved to see her in it again in these happier times, I’m sure the sight of it for her would bring up traumatic memories of the things that happened behind the scenes and about which we will never hear the whole story.
So I’ve long believed that M either packed up those clothes and gave them all away; or she left them in Frogmore cottage.
And as for her wedding dress: I believe she had a replica made and gave that to them for their archives……thereby making sure that they won’t be able to completely erase her from the BR-family history. The original……that’s lovingly and carefully secured in the Sussex household, waiting for Princess Lili.
The dress in the photo with Archie had lighter buttons and they were spaced closer together as the dress was double-breasted. But definitely the same “flavor.”
The DM was already saying that this was staged, because ducks wandering around is not a thing apparently. I’m sure they’ll be fine when Kate shows up with a duck under her arm for her next outing though.
The comments about this being staged are insane, and they’re running in the thousands. This on a day when FK and FQ have completely abandoned their duties and his sick father. The priorities are completely disgusting and unreal.

I Can’t stop laughing at your guessing headlines because they are all so believable because the British media is that nuts . These are the same folks who sent a person pretending to be a journalist out to LA to stalk a mailing address. Like it’s that insane .
