Florence Pugh wore black Elie Saab to the London ‘Thunderbolts’ premiere

Here are some photos from the London premiere of Thunderbolts*. I have no idea if we’re supposed to be the asterisk in the title every time, but there you go. Unfortunately, Sebastian Stan did not attend the premiere! He’s probably working on location, maybe he’ll show up for some of the promotion later on, because the film doesn’t come out until next week. So, I’m including some group shots of the cast, photos which include: Jake Schreier, Wendell Pierce, Geraldine Viswanathan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Florence Pugh, Hannah John-Kamen, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell and Lewis Pullman.

Florence is obviously the biggest name in this Marvel movie, and she’s returning as Yelena Belova, who is the new Black Widow after ScarJo’s Black Widow bit the dust. Florence dressed the part of a movie star at the London premiere, wearing a surprisingly great Elie Saab gown in black (of course!). Flo removed her nose ring, but because she likes to do something “offbeat” for every red carpet, she went with orange/red eye makeup. I have such an aversion to red and orange eye makeup, it always makes women look ill, but whatever. It feels like Florence’s small refusal to be a cookie-cutter princess on a red carpet. I loved Julia Louis Dreyfus’s ensemble though – she looks amazing.

Why is everyone else in black and white and Wendell Pierce is in a blue suit (with black and white tie, but still!). Looks off when everyone else obviously followed the same directions.

    • BW says:

The blue suit looks classy. I don’t like the flannel washcloth and white sneakers to the left of him, and the Hawaiian shirt with a suit to the right.

  2. ThatGirlThere says:

It’s a lovely gown but I don’t think she’s tall enough for that look. Julia always looks so cool and chic.

    • Mightymolly says:

IDK why but that dress reminds me of her Old Christine line: I have a boom boom body, the dress is nothing special.

Only here it would be: I have a chic vibe, the dress is nothing special.

Flo is my girl crush! Like the dress but I doubt I’ll see this movie. The preview I saw at the theater looked SO bad!

  4. Molly says:

Florence may be the current generation lead, but I wouldn’t say she’s the biggest name here. There’s Julia Louis-effing-Dreyfus! Icon.

  5. Lau says:

Pedro Pascal showed up wearing a shirt with “Protect the Dolls” written on it, the same week that the UK Supreme Court ruled that Trans women are not women. Sorry but this is King sh*t.
