Real Housewife of New York Kelly Bensimon showed off her bikini body yesterday in Miami. Now… here’s the thing: I don’t like to get all judgy about alleged “imperfections” in ladies’ bikini bodies. I think confidence goes a long way, and nobody is perfect, so I embrace most women who put themselves out there in a bikini, just because I haven’t put myself out there in a bikini in years. Should I embrace Kelly and her imperfect body? As much as I’d like to, I suspect her abdomen looks so jacked because she had some budget liposuction. I mean, that has to be the explanation for it, in my mind. Otherwise, I have no idea what would make her appear so… lumpy.
One of the few things I know about Kelly is about her appearance on the cover of Playboy a few months ago. Maybe it was airbrush/Photoshop/putting her head on someone else’s body, but she did not look like this on the cover of Playboy. Oh, and the other thing I know about her is that she was all up on my boyfriend Gerard Butler once, and he had to shoot her down (because he loves me). So basically, I have good reason for not cutting her a break.
…Maybe she just has really weird muscle development? Or she’s lost a lot of weight recently (from lipo)? Why does her skin look like that? I mean, beyond the sun damage and the orange. So, so lumpy. It’s strange.

Seriously. Look at Ahnuld’s body and how lumpy and sort of saggy in weird places it looks, then imagine it with boobs, if you can do it and keep your lunch.

I think it’s pretty obvious from that weird belly button she has had a tummy tuck, and I bet lipo has something to do with it. I think that’s probably why here midsection is wide but not flabby. She’s had the flab sucked out but still isn’t “skinny”

Does she have kids? I think the extra skin around her abdomen area could be from pregnancies. And she looks like she’s in her mid-40’s? If she had kids recently, her skin might not have “bounced back” like it would have if she was younger (not picking on women, just saying skin loses elasticity as we age, in men too).
The one thing I think she DIDN’T have was a tummy tuck. Her skin wouldn’t be handing in folds if she did.
So if she looks like this because of pregnancy and refusal to get a tummy tuck, then more power to her. I still don’t know who she is, and don’t really care to find out. But I wouldn’t criticize her for this (her abdomen) if it’s just nature.
why are some women so opposed to one-pieces? it would be soooo much more flattering on her.

I think she just works out too much and is gristly. I mean check out her underarms – that is not a normal cut for a woman.
She definitely did NOT have a tummy tuck or she wouldnt have the excess skin that is visible in mid section. I think its a combo of odd muscles/abs and aging, plus having kids.
My naval actually looks similar to hers, its odd and getting odder as Im getting older. I still have flat/hard tummy but gravity is evil when you get past 35 and the skin and shape of your abs does change. I dont think she looks bad, maybe a little ‘manly’ since she does have muscle definition.
I’d go with lots of working out (her body fat percent is obviously very low) coupled with overly aggressive ab and hip sculpting lipo. If she still had her original hips the breadth of her middle torso wouldn’t be so unflattering.
I don’t think it looks like work but rather a booze-tummy. If she is a big wine drinker, that could result in a puffy, lumpy midsection. I’ve seen it before. Then again, as a Real Housewife, Its probably just cheap surgery.

A lot of women look really different after they have children. I suspect it’s a combo of that and getting older and working out too much-gaining too much muscle and getting gristly like Madonna. Ick.
I swear in some of those pictures especially the third big picture she looks like Joe Perry from Areosmith.

She’s just ill-built as my family says. While I don’t put it past ANY real housewife to get a nip, tuck, lipo or a total overhaul, I honestly believe that this woman just isn’t built like the classical ideal of a woman’s body (which isn’t a big deal). She has broad shoulders, narrow hips and a thick waist proportionally. Her skin does look lumpy, but I don’t think that’s why people are so “intrigued” by her body.

Her body is almost as unattractive as her personality. Have you seen the show? She’s so full of herself that it’s literally hard to watch, she acted like doing Playboy was the pinnacle achievement in the entertainment business. Now that’s funny!

She has no waist, no hips and not body fat. Whether its natural or not, she is missing 3 of the main components of femininity. That is why she looks so weird. Even if she just had a waist, she would look better.
I don’t think its lipo, I think that is a 6pack and an extreme tan. I think she must work out all the time. Like others have said, she doesn’t really have any female curves- probably indicates zero body fat. And then her torse is really thick and muscled up and she kinda has chicken legs. So, ya. It’s a strange one, thats for sure.

I agree with Erica. I go to the tropics every year and see twenty and thirty year olds looking waaaay worse than this sporting bikinis. In fact all I have to do is cross the border into the USA and there are fatsos all over the place. Young and old! It’s a joke here in Canada. At least the woman has her weight under control.

I wonder if it’s splotchy spray tan? Back when mystic tanning first came out, I tried it and put my clothes on too quickly. some of my tummy dye came off and I had funny little lighter patches all over. If you can airbrush to make yourself look leaner, I bet the wrong kind of spray-on can make you look lumpier?
She does have a little belly pooch, which I have (no kids) and it’s partly from a tilty uterus and doing situps improperly. Tummy’s hard, but poochy.

I live on the Gulf and we get a LOT of Canadians down here during the winter, and the vast majority of them are fat. The only way you can tell them from fat Americans is by their grating and horrible accents and pasty pale skin. They are also hated by local businesses since they steal anything not bolted down, so don’t be too hasty to claim any sort of superiority for Bizarro America. We know you’re just jealous, and it’s OK. I’d be a hater too if all I had was snow and hockey and freezing cold wastelands…and maple syrup.
